[AUDIO][MOD] How to Make Dolby Atmos Works with Speaker on Galaxy A6 - Samsung Galaxy A6 Themes, Apps, and Mods

You may notice that Dolby Atmos in Galaxy A6/A6+ only can be turned on when you plug your headphone/earphone in to your phone. But, I just flash the Galaxy S8 Exynos Dolby Atmos audio mod to make the Dolby Atmos can be turned on with speaker, and it works with our device too!
Note :
You must be rooted and have TWRP installed.
Seems like this mod just for Galaxy A6. Cause the Dolby Atmos files contain audio libs. You can try just installing the SoundAlive (DWYOR and please reply if that works with A6+)
Steps :
Uninstall SoundAlive with ES/Link2SD/Root Explorer/Any system application remover.
Reboot. After home screen show up, reboot to recovery.
Flash "Dolby_Installer_1.xx.zip" and "SoundAlive_8.0.21.zip"
Reboot. Then enable Dolby Atmos. Enjoy!

I installed it.i open it but the driver wont work.
The only mod audio i managed to make it work it was
jdsp_v1.8. It worked fine but the sound was no netter than dolby atmos that the phone allready has preinstalled. Someone with more knowledge could help us with v4a. Last year i had a a5 galaxy and i used arise deuteronomy v4a and i worked great. Nut on a6plus its useless

Dolby atmos came standard oem stock with virtually all of the galaxy s9 features on the galaxy a6 2018 phone (at&t flavor) sold here in the states, but with an exynos processor oddly enough.... But with a 32gb rom & 3gb ram, it is virtually a xerox of the s9. Your choice.... S9 retail $799. A6 retail $409. Hmmm, tough choice for the same cell, give or take one at half the price. The at&t a6 has the total biometric system, bixby, sd expansion to 256gb, superamoled, all... And i mean all of their features are tit for tat. The selfie cam even has a flash! Different to say the absolute least. The a6+ goes even further out there. The a7 & a9 seem to be placed bets on how exactly many cameras one can place on 1 cell. U will see. Everyone needs to try the galaxy a6. It's a treat,!

All Samsung phones with Samsung Experience 9.0 came with Dolby Atmos built-in. But, it just works from audio jack except for Galaxy S9/+&Note9. So this mod makes the Dolby Atmos works with speaker too.

If the A6 only has 1 speaker for multimedia ... this should be called "Mono Atmos"?
or does this mod make the call speaker also work for multimedia?
Thank you.

1. Dolby Atmos not makes phone to be stereo. It is just sound processor to make the sound more good.
2. No. It doesn't. There is no point in Galaxy A6 to make the handset speaker as a multimedia speaker. Since the multimedia speaker is in the right top side of the phone. Near the handset speaker. You won't get any stereo experience. Even if we make the handset speaker as multimedia speaker too to make it as front-firing speaker, We will barely hear it. The sound will not loud enough compared to the multimedia speaker.

This one is working pretty good for me. Have also used it on a Nexus 6p previously.
Trust me for me the stock sound coupled with Blackplayer EX is just too good...!!
I always was a fan of audio mods but
OOS 3.2.1 changed it.
Dunno why..
The current atmos dap_r6.5 zip works an absolute treat when flashed through twrp. Just in case get hold of the uninstaller zip 6.5.1 to remove.
But for me this is better than the xtreme music mod or v4a, particularly using Sony bt headphones
Sent from my ONEPLUS A3000 using XDA Forums PRO
Also divine beats works and has the dolby mod

You too noticed that...?
Yup Speaker audio has more material and loudness than before.
Headphone quality is what I love the most.

Is there any need for music mods like viper?

Just wandering if there is any need for mods like viper to enhance the music experience of this phone, considering it already has the dolby app? Or can viper and dolby play nicely together to make the phone even louder?

I have used viper with dolby. Sometimes it does not work as expected but personally i found the dolby to be enough.
I used the magisk modules.

For the speakers, no, dolby kicks ass there & I can't seem to match it with viper...
... Except I barely use the speakers as good as they are! I use my Bluetooth over ear headphones most of the tone and viper is king for that, works very well too (I use universal audio patch & viper magisk modules)

Any modules of dolby atmos work with stock rom ?

I tried many modules of Dolby Atmos still cannot work with the December stock rom , anyone successful ??
I had an iPhone XR and wide stereo quality from front speakers was awesome when I watch music videos on YouTube.
Now I'm looking for something similar and would like also to install additional software for surround sound on the Pixel 3 but I can't find...

Hi-Res output Snapdragon 625

Tested on the lousy zenfone 3 zoom (stock 3.5mm audio sucks inspite of DAC chip because of the poor engine optimization) and it worked like a champ but i believe other devices with SN 625 may benefit from it and they are A LOT, (use 709 build ONLY) other builds won't work as good, i tested them all.
Please do make a feedback on which other device this worked.
Snapdragon 845 devices (e.g. Sony XZ2) – improved Hi-Res Output detection
Sony XZ/XZ1 – improved Hi-Res Output detection
Lenovo X3 – reenabled 24bits
OnePlus (1st edition) – disabled DVC for Hi-Res output due to forced speaker playback
added new per-output option – No Duck – for cases when notification causes issues. Activated by default for Hi-Res output for some Snapdragon 625 devices (Asus Zenfone 3)
HTCs @ 7.0 – improved Hi-Res Output stability
Nexus 6P – fixed notification coloring
Enjoy Hi-Res music all.
Direct download, use poweramp unlocker to activate it.

Did you toggle the 'Wired headset/AUX" ? and was your test with headphones or via the loud speaker? and what your headphones are?
This release 709 worked for me gloriously! the only problem that it's not free and needs some work that you can find on youtube or i would post a fellow up about the odds of activating it but i just needed a conformation that it at least made a difference by utilizing the DAC chip on board!!

I've downloaded the apk you uploaded and followed the screenshots. It made zero difference to the sound quality. Poweramp DVC is great on other devices, but on my zenfone it sucks, the audio is distorted, the only way to tolerate the audio quality is by disabling it. Best player I could find so far for my zenfone is Phonograph.

The zenfone 3 zoom have an amazing sound quality and believe me the bass is insane via a good headphones, you just need to find a solution to make use of it's potentials, if you want to go throw troubleshooting provide some more information like the exact model and what software build you are currently running... you are right about the distortion i was very upset with the sound quality at the beginning but poweramp made the DAC work properly.

I wouldn't say that the sound quality on the zenfone 3 zoom is amazing. This DTS audio thing is terrible and makes sound awful. I've installed an even older version of poweramp and tried your solution, and it made a difference with my JBL T210 (not the best one around, surely). However, using Poweramp with DVC on an old Galaxy S6 that I have laying around is still miles better. Sound quality is my only complaint about this phone, that's why I was hoping for a custom rom for this thing.

Yeah you're absolutely right that DTS is a marketing thing and it sucks, you just keep trying on that poweramp 709 build only and try downloading it from APKPURE or somewhere else because the one that i provided was patched with lucky patcher and i hoped it would work with a non-rooted device to skip the activation process but apparently that is not the case, after i reflashed the phone and got rid of the root access i had to install poweramp unlocker and i have to reinstall the the main app every 2 days because without the root i can't seem to be able to activate it, keep digging, i know what a good DAC sounds like, it's not an HTC native level but it's miles ahead of the stock drivers and even better than viper4android module on magisk.

No worries about that. I've purchased the app years ago. The only thing now is that I can't allow it to update. Thanks for the hint, the sound is clearly better now.

Bluetooth audio level on car radio

Ok, audio via phone Bluetooth connection question.
I recently exchanged my Samsung Galaxy S9 for a OnePlus 7T, and I notice that with the new phone, I have to play music on my car radio (Kia Forte) at a higher level of sound. Sound quality is good though. Has anyone had a similar experience, be it an Android or an iOS phone? Thanks!
I've been trying to work this out myself.
I moved from a Galaxy S8 to a OnePlus 7t and I stream my music via Bluetooth to my JBL Charge 4; I have been feeling like volume has been a lot lower and bass is just not there like it was on the S8. But then I had been flicking between Spotify and Deezer on my S8 so that could have contributed to the confusion as the volumes levels differ a bit on there too.
I'm on 10.0.9 (Stable - EU) and believe it to be quieter and lacking in comparison to Samsung :/
Try dolby atmos equalizer and you can feel the difference of volume boost and audio quality had same problem on my car with sony BT stereo but with that app it's a lot better, give it a try.. You can find it under "oneplus 7t themes apps and mods"

My T-Mobile 7T has the Dolby Atmos equalizer option, and it does help with sound quality, but not overall loudness.
Also, I tried this on my OP, and it more or less helps with a bit louder sound, but not as loud as the Samsung.

Yes the apk.. to get it working properly you need to disable the in-built one, either via adb or disable application app (root)
