What needs to be quick charge compatible? Cable or plug. It shouldn't need to be quick charge if I wanted to charge on normal (since Samsung has fast charge software option).

You come here saying some cable doesn't work so get another one, a different one, an original one....its really simple.
Something is off with that cable you are using so ditch it and find another one.

3m Charger

Hi guys,
I'm just looking for either an extension cable or a charging cable that's 3m long but also charges as quickly as the standard charging cable. Does anyone know of any that will work with the One?
Thanks,
Phil

Do you have personal experience of using it? I don't want yet another one that is slow to charge!
Cheers
It is just usb cable...........
The USB will be fine, the plug controls charge power.
That's what i meant

The cable really does make a difference. Hence why my current 3m cable is going to take over an hour to charge 10% using the stock plug. With the stock cable it would take far less.
That's the way it seems anyway.

Ahh, sorry I didn't realise maybe go to your local electronics shop and see their cables; that way you can easily return a bad one, however prices may be steeper.

M9 slow charge or no charge in the car

I've got a 3.1A car charger but when I plug in the M9 I get the show charge warning. With the GPS and Bluetooth it isn't strong enough to charge the phone. Is this the phone or do I need a different charger.
I'm having the same problem. My charger in my car is actually sucking the charge out of my phone. I'm going to buy one from HTC direct. I just got the Quick Charge 2.0 and that seems to be working. Works better with the screen off. But you're not the only one going through this.
I get the same issue with mine, I tend to find the car charger doesn't actually charge the phone, but just maintains the current level of charge. Going to purchase the one offered through the HTC site

The USB cable that plugs into the charger and then into your phone. I've seen reports where changing out the cable made a difference.

Ideally, one that works well when plugged in at home. That way you know the cable is good.
Usually your phone will stop charging if the phone gets too hot. Do you live in a hot area? It could be because of that.

How do you know your cable is fine? Try ampere app from the playstore check your charge speed if is 1200mAh and above it has no problem. But if its 500 below try changing the cable and see the difference

I have checked ampere too. It is always 500 below. Even it is sometimes decreasing to 40mAh. But with samsung's fast charging i can get 400-600 mAh which it is also bad score than 1200. But charges 1% per minute.
I have changed my cable with another cables and there is no difference on stock charger.

Can i use VOOC 5V-5A Charger?

Hello friends, in my country there is no Dash charger from official oneplus. but there are some oppo's vooc charger available. as far as I know vooc charger works in 1+3.
and there are two types of charger from oppo.
1. 5v-4a (same as dash charger)
2. 5v-5a
so if I use the 5v-5a charger would it harm my device? would you recommend it?
thanks in advance

Yes u can use VOOC charger as dash charger, you only need to convert the cable end, from micro to usb C
Am using VOOC powerbank (batt pack) with usb c converter, and it charge my OP3 in dash speed (3000++mAh charging rate)

I'm afraid using an adapter would kill your charging speed (reduce to normal speeds).
You need compatible cable for DASH/VOOC speeds - mainly because they are thicker than normal ones. Well, any standard micro USB to Type-C is not designed for such high amperage and it becomes the weak link here. The phone will think you're using a normal cable and won't pull more than 1.5A through.
Tl;dr: you need a DASH/VOOC Type-C cable, no adapters.

I would rather not use that even if it works, you risk frying something.
Those adapters are designed fur 1A, not 4 ... That's a huge difference.

I don't have any charger actually, I use my laptop to charge it which is very slow, and I don't want my laptop on for whole night. so I needed a charger badly. as there is no dash cable here I have to order it and as for now have to use the ordinary usb-c cable for the phone.
You can use any wall charger with 1a, 2a. It will not charge Fast as Dash, but faster than the laptop.

Question Unable to find a new cable that actually charges

I've still go the original charger but I need a new one, but I cannot find one that actually works with the phone. It should be a common USB C fit but I have tried several and none of them actually charge. Yes, they fit in, but they just don't charge. I have no idea why this is happening as it has never happened with any other phones I've used from Sony.
So, does anyone know which charge will definitely work? Thanks.
I'm using an "Anker 511 nano 3 (30W)" which works perfectly fine.

Right this is the issue - the adaptor isn't the issue as I can just plug a usb into my mains socket (this is what I do at the moment with the cable that works).; the issue is the actual cable.

No, its just the charger.
I'm using an "Anker 333 USB-C to USB-C Cable" (Model A8757).
