Google Pixel 3 screen protectors, cases and accessories - Google Pixel 3 XL Accessories

Hey guys,
I've pre-ordered Pixel 3 XL today
So Let me start of the thread for the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3XL Screen Protectors and cases
I've ordered Pixel 3 XL Full body screen protector twin pack from Orzly. It comes with a clear case so I don't have to worry about keeping the back protected whilst I wait for more choices to come out

What have you guys come across?

Got these two. I only got the black too because the graphite isn't available until mid November. Black is available right away.

Your Links are not working. Also am thinking of getting the Ringke Fusion case. I have one on my Pixel 2 XL. Seems to be a good choice.

Spigen has several available, all of the more popular ones anyway.

I ordered a few different ones from Amazon but I am hoping Pitaka makes a carbon fiber case like they did for the P2XL.

Not prime but this is the only ultra thin case I usually find. Covers 360 all around.

Has anyone found a glass screen protector that covers both front cameras? I know it needs a hole for the mouth but I'd like to cover those frickin eyes.

Just pre-ordered an upgrade to my well loved, trusty Pixel 2 XL. I have used Otterbox Defender's on most of my past phones with good results, and will purchase a Pinkish blend defender Symmetry Series case for Wifey's Pixel 3, Not Pink.
I've wanted to try the Moment Photo case on my 2XL, but never pressed buy button. I did a quick search of cases and found Moment already has cases, and a 20% discount that ends Oct 12th. So this time I went for the Moment Case and two lens's for my Pixel 3 XL, "fingers crossed" arriving Oct 18th. 17th
20% discount code for their store after buying the Moment Pro Camera app at $1.99. Download the app, and the 20% code pops up in the app.

They make some good looking cases! Thanks for this recommendation.
Anyone know if Diztronic will be making Pixel 3 XL cases? Thanks!

Nice, I've always wanted to try the moment lenses but they never made a cases for OnePlus. Should be really good with the new pixel 3 camera!

Pixel 3 XL's screen seems to be flatter this time. I don't see a curve. Hopefully that means we can use the traditional glass screen protectors and not settle for the ones with dots and the whitestone dome.

Verizon Wireless has Pixel 3/XL cases for 25% off. I don't know if this is an online only deal or available in-store as well, only noticed while browsing for accessories. They also have their own branded glass screen protector, too, for $25.
Ringke has a deal on 3 of their cases. Fusion and Onyx are $3.96, Fusion-X is $3.90. Sold through Amazon BUT you need a coupon code, and codes look to be very limited. Got it from their latest newsletter.

I just wish they came with a good clear film already on. They you can just leave it or take it off wen you have something better to put on. ???

Thanks for pointing this company out. I never knew about this case for the 2XL or I would have jumped on it immediately.
I have been using a blue sand textured IMAK Case on my 2XL. I am hoping they make it for the 3XL too.

I won't buy a zagg after the awful one for my wife's Galaxy S9. That said, I just got an email from them for the Pixel 3 and XL and it definitely looks flat. So hopefully there will be plenty of options out there

A different one
https://www.verizonwireless.com/accessories/verizon-tempered-glass-screen-protector-pixel-3-xl/

I went with IntelliGlassHD (Cant post links because i'm too new)for my screen protector. I have had it on my 6P for the past three years without showing any signs of wear. I'm hoping for similar results for my new 3XL.
I went with a Spigen Neo Hybrid for my case just to have something to put it in when the phone gets here **hopefully** next week.

Can anyone recommend a decent thin case and glass screen protector thats available in the UK?

I ordered these screen protectors.

To case or not to case, my age old dilema.

I have this dilemma every single time I get a new phone. I can't decide if I need a case of not. I have the Spigen Rugged Armour case which is pretty good but ruins the feel of the phone. This isn't the cases fault...all cases do this IMO. It makes the phone feel so much thicker and makes the bezzles even worse. I'm usually pretty safe with my phones...having only broken one screen in my life with owning many devices...that was the Note 7 display. This time when I got my Pixel XL I got insurance through my carrier that replaces the device if it's damaged from drop, water or theft minus my $200 deductable. I'm looking for opinions on case or no case. I can never decide. Thank.
The back easily gets dented. Unfortunately, I speak from experience. All I did was lean on a table .. barely. It has a ding now. I'd suggest a case. Just an opinion though.

I'm Clumsy with two small kids .....makes my choice very easy I always think a case of some sort is good, im OCD so i hate scratches and marks and cases help avoid that

The back scratches and is most noticeable on black and blue models. Leaves silver swirls lines... YMMV
Also I'll attach some pictures of a pixel recently sold on swappa that might convince you. It was supposedly dropped by vzw rep while installing an otterbox case

Oh man that one big dash would drive me nuts lol ...... man lot of marks must have hit tile
Those chamfered edges always get like that. It's not a pixel exclusive issue. Have them on my 6P as well.
I recommend the Spigen Ultra Hybrid case. I have the clear one and it is classy. The case is adequate without being intrusive with a premium feel and premium branding. Better yet. If you pick it up off of their Amazon store. You can get it for over 50% off. No. I am not an Amazon or Spigen employee...just a very content longstanding customer
I'm very picky with my devices. Never drop them. Never case them. I always use a skin on back and tempered glass on front.

I am in the same boat with my phones that offer good insurance deals. I have both the iPhone 7+ and now the Pixel XL and have them in temporary cases until the skins arrive. I had my iPhone 6+ and 6P both skinned and insured, didn't have to submit a claim on either. They both had a few dings here or there but a new skin always covered that and kept the phone so close it's original shape. I also find they hide the metal pad nicely for my magnetic car mounts. I will send pics and updates when my skins arrive, so far only ordered them through slickwraps, I'm sure I'll order some off d-brand around black friday.
I'm not sure on the insurance value for Pixel XL yet because of the low repair costs I've seen, for the iPhone it's a no brainer because it covers the earpods and lightning cables.

List of Google Pixel 2 Cases

I thought I would start a central location for the new Google Pixel 2 cases. These are the ones I found on the web for now. If you find any, feel free to share.

Here's a good question. I greatly prefer the hard plastic covers. Thin and protective. However, how will hard plastic covers (such as the oneplus ones) work with the active edge of the Pixel 2 xl?
I've just ordered a Caseology Parallax, but I wonder if that will work with the active edge?

I plan on getting the Parallax as well. From the looks of the case, it has rubber on the sides. So this will help.
I forgot which YouTube video I was watching but they said that the sides wouldn't be a problem with cases because of the way it detects the "squishy" sides. You can also set the pressure. So if you have a case on and it requires you to press harder, you can just make it more sensitive.

I'm not on twitter, but I sure hope diztronic reads this thread. For the Nexus 6P and the Pixel XL their cases were the best that I tried. I will be very disappointed if they don't make one for the new phone.

Man the MNML case shipping costs more than the case itself...
I like "thin-fit" case from Spigen, it's very minimalist. But Spigen is kind of boring without many color choices. I used it on my Nexus 6.
Do you know any other minimalist case like that which is not boring?
I ordered the Spigen Rugged Armor Pixel 2 case. I've had it for a few days already, it is not heavy, looks nice and has some grip but not too much.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07471C38C/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I've ordered 5 cases so far. One has arrived, 2 arrive Friday, one arrives a day before the phone ships, and the 5th arrives 1st week of November (Spigen pre-order). The 4 that arrived or are about to were just cheapos for me to play with, $5-$8/pop.
I might also blow ~$50 after tax on the Bellroy Leather Case in black, but it's sold out. I'll try for the next batch if I'm not in love with the Spigen or one of the dark horse candidates.
Once I get the phone, I'll posts pics/video to help others decide.

Cases!

Figured I'd start a thread for case options.
My favorite, and what I've used for a year now on my P2XL was the Maxboost mSnap Thin Cases Perfect Fit. Unfortunately they don't currently show anything for the P3.
My runner up was the Spigen Thin Fit. It didn't have the same full body protection as the Maxboost (sides were exposed) but I did like it a lot otherwise. Spigen does, apparently have the cases already, though they're not available on their website. They list 2 ThinFit options for the P3. A regular and a "360". Since I can't click on them I have no idea what the difference is. I WAS able to order one of these from Amazon. I'm assuming it's the regular one though. Figured it'll work until the Maxboost is released. Anyway, here's link: http://a.co/d/dcRtP8q
I really like Spigen cases. Would probably get one for this device.
This one is my favorite:

Yes, same! I've had a Spigen on my Nexus 5 for all 5 years I've had it and underneath the thing still looks brand new.
I've pre ordered the Spigen Thin Fit case in Graphite Gray off Amazon. It's currently showing an arrival date of around Thanksgiving. I hope it gets here sooner than that though!
My fav pixel 2 xl case by far was the fabric case, but i had like 8 cases, I change my cases like i change my wallpaper.
Spigen
Amazon has the Rugged Armor right now. I find it beats the Thin for protection. Somewhere in between is the Diztronic that have on the Pixel XL. It is not our yet for the Pixel 3, so I got the Rugged Armor for $12.99 out of stock. I have had one before and it is a very good, one piece TPU case with much better drop protection than the Thin Fit. I am pretty clumsy.
I have yet to see a Spigen Presidio case for the Pixel 3? Does anyone know if they are making one?
I love thinnest cases so for me i ordered MnmlCase.com
Is no one scared the cases could leave marks and scratches on the shiny frame?

Are you sure you aren't thinking of the Speck Presidio cases?
Thats it thanks brother. this is the only case I have used for the OG Pixel, Pixel 2 and now the Pixel 3.

Same here. I've always used the Grip version. I've dropped every one of the phones I've used it on several times and they always survived without so much as a scratch. Ordered one for the Pixel 3 yesterday. The only pitfall is they are a bit spendy but they are also great protection.

Thanks! Never heard of them but exactly what I need since I rarely ever drop my phone. Micro scratches are more an issue for me since I' always go caseless, but think I'll give this a go!
Well, Spigen canceled my order for the thin fit in gray. I don't want a black case, so meh.
Decided to order the cloth case from Google in fog, as it does look mightttyyyy fine on a white phone in their pictures. Wasn't thrilled with the $40 price tag, but whatever. My only concern is that it will eventually start looking dirty.
Yeah they are a bit pricey but still well worth it. I just bought mine and it should be here Monday ready for my Pixel 3 whenever they ship LOL.

I grabbed a couple of Google's fabric cases from Verizon's site as they have 25% off Pixel 3 cases going on right now. I also grabbed an Otterbox Symmetry clear case.
update: So now that I have my phone. The fabric cases are nice, very minimal and the charcoal and fog colors look great. The Otterbox, however, didn't work out. It was very bulky and got scratched in a few places straight out the box. Getting my phone in and out of it was a pain too. So now I've returned the Otterbox and replaced it with a Spigen Liquid Clear case. The Spigen gives a good amount of protection with a clean look to really show off my white Pixel. It has a nice grip to it as well.

How'd you get it shipped so quick? Mine is showing it won't ship until the end of October.

That's odd. I ordered mine on Friday and received an email yesterday saying it had shipped. Perhaps they're out of them now? I've ran into that in the past with them but it always said something on the page about it.

The regular Thin Fit that you linked doesn't have any coverage for the top and bottom edges of the phone. The Thin Fit 360 does, and also includes a glass screen protector. The Amazon link for the Thin Fit 360 is http://a.co/d/acFpbNf

Use the code MNML20 to get 20% off your order. I used the MNML case on my Pixel 2 and it is the next best thing to using the phone naked. It doesn't diminish the feel of the phone at all and protects it against scuffs and scrapes which is exactly what I need. I don't drop phones (famous last words, lol) but hate cosmetic damage. The Pixel is a lovely slim phone and I really don't want to bulk it out with a thick case.
My clear case from Cimo just arrived. Still waiting on the phone, but it's a typical clear TPU. Not as thin as an X Level case, but not as thick as the Spigen Liquid Crystal cases. It will work until X Level releases one.

Best Screen Protectors

Alright so I have always used bodyguardz screen protectors for all my devices so I figured I'd get one for my pixel 3 xl too. Well it's garbage so I need suggestions and figured others would find this info useful. All that said, let's get some suggestions and reviews going and see who's got the best product out there.
Here is the fit of Bodyguardz protector. Garbage as you can see.

I get the feeling that Whitestone Dome will be our only practical option like with the 2 XL. Whatever I got from Amazon is hot garbage as well.

Honestly, I think I would be okay with that. It's much better than the ones with the adhesive only on the sides. Thank you for the pics.
I agree. Given the current terrible alternatives, I think the bodyguardz protector is the best bet to hold us over until Whitestone releases a protector for the 3 XL.
Does anyone have a link for the bodyguardz protector? I can't find it on Amazon.

Yeah, with how well the Whitestone protectors did on the 2 XL, I find it very hard to believe they aren't going to do something for the 3 XL, as well. I'm planning on going with a sub-par protector just to hold me over for a month or so, until Whitestone or something similar is released for a more long term solution.

Is the zagg full adhesive? I thought I read somewhere it was. Between that and the $45 process tag and skipped right past considering it.

It's full adhesive and way over priced but I got it with a deep discount. I manage our work Verizon account and picked it up while ordering some other hardware for staff. It does overlap some where the screen curves so there are places it does not stick but covers the viewable screen area. Zagg also includes an alignment tool so that is nice but in short I wouldn’t recommend it at this price point. I’ll try to get some pictures alter today.

Yeah the price is ridiculous. But thanks for the info. I’d be curious to see the pics and see exactly how it fits. I just can’t believe how much these manufacturers are missing the mark... I’ve never bought a screen protector before from either that doesn’t actually fit the intended device

I love the ArmorSuit screen protectors. I've been using them since the 6P, after the previous brand I used disappeared, and haven't looked back since. They're thin, fit well with no size/cut issues, have no orange peel effect, rainbowing, etc.
Caught it this morning, but if you order through Amazon, their case friendly fit is dirt cheap, too. $3. Wish this was active last night when I placed an order through their website. Hopefully I get mine shipped soon because the TGSP I got as a temp doesn't fit with a case, and isn't cut properly to account for the slightly curved edges.

I think it will be whitestone also. Mine on the 2 XL was great. I tried the Verizon one for short term protection. They tried to put it on twice but both resulted in raised edges so they are going to refund it. Whitestone tweed this AM they will have it in Nov. https://twitter.com/whitestonedome/status/1053272064881254400
I bought these until Whitestone comes out. I was actually quite surprised how good they were. I mean it's not perfect but full adhesive. Sticks good on the edges. Coating isn't bad.
I'm a screen protector snob and I'm almost okay with it. $7.00 for 3 of them makes a great temporary until Whitestone comes out.

This is great news!
My phone arrives today. I have an IQ Shield tempered glass protector here waiting. However, the reviews of it have started rolling in and they are HORRIBLE (Amazon link). It's so bad that Amazon stopped selling it.
So last night I went up to a Verizon store and picked up one of their pricey tempered glass protectors. It's only going to cover the usable area of the display and probably won't stick in some places, but it will hold me over until Whitestone releases their solution.
I've always used the Spigen GLASS.t protectors but they're not out yet for the Pixel 3. In the mean time, I'm using this ESR Tempered Glass protector...
https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B07H8ZNZJ8
Despite the negative reviews, it's working perfectly for me. I'm using the Google Fabric case with it and my only issue there is that the case lip isn't tall enough so when you put the phone down face down, it's the protector that's resting on the surface. We'll see how long the protector holds up.
I got the SuperShieldz screen protector (2-pack). It's utter garbage. Doesn't fit properly and interferes with touch.
I also tried the Tektide protector. It's slightly better touch-wise, but somehow it covers the ambient light sensor so the screen is always dim. Also, the adhesive is pretty ppor.
Both were cheap, but definitely no long-term solution.

Skins!

Just orderd my very first dbrand skin! I hope it's as good as everyone says!

Will there be skins from Skinit or decalgirl for the pixel 3? I always got those. sad though they haven't offered it yet.

Good luck with slick wraps, they take forever to ship.
I asked slick what the deal was, since their site says "in stock", but it also says "pre-order". There response was "we need to get the phone first, and then make them." So yeah, they ain't even made them yet, and apparently can't until they have a phone in hand.
Has anyone received a skin for the Pixel 3 from either Slickwraps or Dbrand? The dbrand wesbite still says pre-order, and slickwraps straight lied to me when they said my item hasn't shipped because they were "busy".
I've seen the Dbrand skin in a couple of YouTube reviews so they've clearly already started producing them but probably not in big numbers yet.

You would think if they had a template to make 10, then could easily make 100. There aren't THAT many Pixel 3 owners yet.
No shipping notice yet from dbrand for me. Hopefully soon.
dbrand is absolutely trash with shipping. I ordered some skins from them that said in stock for my note 9 and it took 6 weeks to get.. their customer service is extremely slow to respond and they said they have slow shipping times during "sales"
they run a sale every. single. day. and to top it off, they don't let you cancel the order either. you just have to wait it out.

Seems like there two main companies are practically the same. I'm not impressed with how slowly they are shipping when I placed my order 3 weeks ago!
I will say the quality of the skins are amazing! Just be prepared to wait well past what they say is your ship date.

Isn't dBrand in Canada? Maybe customs is partly to blame. I had dBrand skins on my Nexus 4 and 5, and the quality was good. I don't remember what the shipping was like, though.

It seems like both dbrand and slick wraps are preselling inventory they don't have yet. I just wish it wasn't taking so long to stock up.
EDIT: @slickwraps it has now been 20 days since I placed my order and I have not received any notification for shipment. There needs to be better communication if stock is an issue.

I just went back to the dbrand website and it seems that the "preorder" banner has disappeared. This should mean, that they have it in stock now. I'm still hoping that my skin will arrive more or less together with my pixel 3.
Edit: just got my shipping notification. Should arrive within 15 days. Perfect timing for me.
My slickwraps naked skin was shipped yesterday. Should arrive later in the week. Never used one of their naked skins before so we'll see.

Got my slickwraps yesterday. Was super bummed out it didn't fit as it was shown in the pic. Instead of just covering the back, it was a full wrap. Never again.

What were you expecting, just the back covered and not the sides? All skins do that, with a couple special exceptions like the natural series which can't be bent.
