Possibly a new paid bootloader unlock service - Huawei P20 Guides, News, & Discussion

Hey found this on the P20 pro forums
Mod edit links removed.
30 euros is a bit steep, but just ordered, fingers crossed.
Code should be delivered in 24-48 hours, I'll report back then.

nice one may have to try it next pay day

It works!!!

Now then... any reliable method to:
1. unlock
2. change code base from c782 to c432
3. re-lock
and no, I don't want root, don't need twrp, don't want to mess about,
and I need google pay and banking apps to work. and ota updates to work in the future...

Yes, it works! Took about 10 hours to get the code but it really works.
Looking forward to rebrand to C432 from UK 782 so I can get proper updates.

I have it tested an can confirm that it works. I get my code within 10 min.
Gesendet von meinem EML-L09 mit Tapatalk

This one worked for my EML-L29: DC Huawei Bootloader Codes from Google Play store
Install app and use Code by IMEI.
Took a few minutes, cost 25 Euro:good:
Cheers

I have been out of the custom rom scene for a while but what the hell is up with paying for unlocking the bootloader.

Is is possible to flash back just the stock kernel and keep the international ROM, or will that reinstate the T-Mobile lock?
Also, I went ahead and filed a complaint with the FCC that I believe T-Mobile is violating the new unlock law. Essentially, T-Mobile is making customers who buy the phone outright get service and I don't think this is appropriate. I got an email today that the complaint was served to T-Mobile and they have 30 days to reply. Let's see what happens.
This is the site I used to file the complaint:

Yeah , i'm really hoping this works.. i hate that Tmobile came up with this **** app ,, why are we at fault cause their customers sell phones
Hi guys!
Did it worked?
Cheers!
This is happening with all new T-mobile phones. They have a eligibility requirement where the phone must be used on a T-mobile account for 40 days before it can be unlocked through their "unlock device" app. Which is honestly... a piece of ****.
SOLUTION: 1. unlock code. 2. Non T-mobile rom. 3. ??? 4. profit! (jk on 3.)
What many have been doing on other phones: m9, z3, etc, you flash a non t-mobile rom! that's pretty much it. You flash a non T-mobile ROM and put in your sim card, it should ask for the sim unlock pin/code. After you do that ONCE, it should be completely unlocked, you can go back to stock or any other rom and it should be sim unlocked!
I have not tried it on the s6 edge myself. BUT it should be the same thing.
GOOD LUCK!
I with for code
I'm ready, I bought the code but I don't received yet.. I have my phone rooted, with twrp. I download the ROM and the kernel..
I think the code arrived in two days... But if somebody haves news.. Please.. Tell us.

I've got to agree - I bought mine from Value Basket, advertised as an EU version but the IMIE is for a Singapore carrier and because of that I can't unlock the bootloader, hence I'm stuck with a fantastic phone with good, but not brilliant firmware and no way to flash my favourite CFW's.

Easy there! That's not how things work around here. Also, it's not that developers wouldn't try. People worked on it and may still be working on a solution. Maybe, next time you buy a new phone, make sure you don't spend hundreds of dollars on a device you can't unlock or where it's uncertain whether it'll be unlockable or not. After all, you're a "flashaholic".
Shameful post(op)

I feel your frustration, though (misguided), you need to read a bit about unlocking the bootloader for many of the G4 models.
You are not the only one that feels as you do. You certainly do not need to be rude about your frustration, furthermore blaming people on XDA is wrong. XDA users had nothing to do with locking the bootloader.
BTW you are correct there is a donation thread somewhere. Why not learn how to develop and be the one that could do what no other could:good:
There are enough rant threads already out there, no need to keep this afloat.
PS thanks for being a member of XDA and I look forward to your development
I tired to find way to unlock bootloader for H815P

No need to see into the future. You just need to think harder. LG is known for locking down devices. Why bother with the risk of ending up with a locked down device? Besides, I'm not dragging you anywhere. You just like the feeling of being the victim. Get a grip already!

Well see I know that lg lock some device's I have had a few lg device's g3,g4,gflex2 and now just made a MISSILE out of the g4 because sick of being told that there may be a unlocking available for the g4. I all so sick of people saying that the only root for g4 is root injection it would not work for me so now only got my gflex 2. So very soon I will look at the g4 again now knowing what I need to look for.
The way I see it with out boot loader unlocking there is no root for the g4........ok ranting over good night

Well the root works really well, though you have to be using L. Even xposed works with flash fire, so really its not a big deal. If they at least root M I will be even happier.
Of course unlocked bootloader would be ideal but I am happy with root.

Why do you assume I don't know about custom roms? I do know a lot and tried many of them on different devices. Some are great some are buggy.
Truth is LG rom is very stable and with root, exposed, launcher I can get it very close to pure android experience. So root is still very important.
Don't get me wrong, I still want an unlcoked bootloader.
Unlocked bootloader will extend the life of the device.

Root mate se (aka 7xs)

Anyone know how to root the mate se which is basically the 7x but with more ram and storage? There doesn't seem to be a section for the device yet.
The Mate SE is literally the international Honor 7x. So hopefully someone can confirm if the existing methods for root, bootloader unlock, and TWRP will work on the Mate SE.
My Mate SE is running TWRP and it's rooted.
Follow the guide here:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/honor-7x/how-to/how-to-root-honor-7x-international-t3716056
I had to sideload SuperSU because my phone files are encrypted and I couldn't just run it on the phone. Installing TWRP worked perfectly though.
Thanks for the info. I'm assuming no go on the AOSP 8.0 build working on the Mate SE?

Huawei Bootloader unlock server is down but have found alternate method.........this can be done yourself (#1) now as i have learned but i have also found a guy online providing the service (#2) for the same price as it costs to do it yourself so choice is up to you heres the info

I found this guy through a youtube video he had posted talking about and showing this being done so i contacted him via the chat box on the site and he was with me immediately and got on and got the unlock code extracted from my phone in 5 to 10 minutes tops throughout the whole transaction of paying thru paypal which is a protected payment is services should not work but the guy offers refunds if it is not successful anyways but has been successful with just about everyone it looks like. Happy unlocking!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I would really like to see devs work on this one. I ended up getting this phone because i was a few bucks short of getting the V40. Having the Hi-Fi audio DAC really makes music sound better.
But honestly it's not even close to competing with V4A. Which i guess now i know for sure, i NEED this on my phone.
I would love to root my phone one day just for that. As long as it's stable and works good for that (And preferably Magisk and Adaway as well..) I need it done.
Hi I am interested in this service. I will be buying one in a few days and would like to have this service done. Can anyone pm me? Seems I can't.

I'm going to buy OP7T, have some questions

Hey guys,
I currently have a OP5 and I always root my devices to get flawless Adblocking, theming, and google feed on OP launcher. Are these already possible on the OP7T or do we have to wait for an official TWRP? if It's possible is it safe to do?
Yeah, it is safe to do. I just got mine yesterday and fully rooted it. The best and safest tutorial is here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=81277507&postcount=613
If you just use any patched boot.img you'll find, it could be the wrong version (there is Europe, Global and Indian) or maybe a wrong OOS version. The safest way is to extract the boot.img yourself and let Magisk Manager patch it. These steps are very easy and took me not even 10 minutes. Also you can keep root if you're doing an OTA update. Just be sure to not reboot once it prompts you and to tell the Magisk Manager to install Magisk on the inactive slot.
Blokada does great adblocking without the need of root, as for theming and what not, I suppose you would wanna root, which isnt too hard to do

I shifted from OP5T to OP7T 4 months back, the rooting seems little different here coz of no TWRP. But there are no issues. Everything works flawless and easy like OP5.
Dont buy it you will regret your decision if you are custom rom lover
For Adblocking you do not need root. Using private DNS is enought

To add more information to my previous post,
Adways works, adblock through xposed also works, google feed through magisk works, through xposed also works. Substratum theming also works flawless.
Few Screenshots are attached.
Guys, on a side note on rooting. Are you all able to use your banking sites? I'm told they don't work well on a rooted phone
Thanks

Thank you Aswin and thank you all.
So to sum it up, everything I can do with my OP5, already works perfectly as long as I am good with tinkering my device and follow good tutorials. Except for installing ROMs which still requires TWRP to be fully compatible.
I guess I'll get it as soon as the prices go down in my country.

You can install ROMS now too, but not simple to switch between ROMs often. Since data including internal is completely erased everytime u switch ROM

That is not device specific. So far no issues with banking apps.
But according Root developer, Google is implementing new changes where it maybe possible for issues with few banking apps, some can be still spoofed to work properly. But that is not device specific.

I too have a 7T using it in the states on Verizon. I know its been asked a million times. What would I gain from being rooted?
Thanks

If you don't know, then rooting probably isn't for you. Now a days, root is becoming less and less required for certain tasks and used to be required in the days of old. When you start finding things that you're wanting to fix on the device (For me it was a proper AOD) then root might start to come up for you. But you're right, if you don't have a good reason for root, I wouldn't. I would at least leave the door open should you need/want it later.

"Back in the day" (PDA phones), I use to flash everything that came along. Same with my first few android phones, but now, I don't even bother. Stock roms are "good enough", and my phone is just a work tool. End of the day, I'm too tired to bother using it unless someone actually calls me LOL.
I'm not a total novice to rooting. When I had my Samsung Note 4, probably the last Samsung able to root easily, I was rooted. After the Note 4 I got the Note 5, then Pixel 2xl. I never felt the need with the 2xl, so I guess with the 7T I may stay stock. It's quite a phone. I do miss the pictures from the Pixel but besides that nothing else. I'm entertaining looking at the 8 pro.

also on Verizon, received my 7T, from OnePlus, on Friday, activated/unlocked/rooted on Saturday.
You gain Titanium, AdAway, AFWall+, All-in-one Toolbox, and Root Browser to access system files.

Whoa, pretty fast.
Now that you have root, what are "things" that your doing to make the phone "better. I'm purely into performance. What will it do for me?

I'm satisfied with Oxygen OS and not really interested in ROMs for now. My concern is with pre-installed apps, ad blocking, apps “phoning home”, and what's running in the background.
Titanium to freeze 7 Google apps & two others that came with the phone and can't be uninstalled, as well as 3 apps that I very rarely use but don't want to download/reinstall/set up when I do need them. In addition to sending scheduled backups to One Drive
AdAway needs root to replace the hosts file and blocks apps & browsers from reaching pretty much every ad server
App Ops to prevent apps from running at startup
Servicely to disable unnecessary background services
AFWall as a firewall to prevent apps from accessing the internet
Root Browser simply because I dislike having anything on my phone that I can't access
Since you're “purely into performance” you'll need to root in order to install tweakable custom kernels when they become available
