[ROM] [8.1] nAOSProm for Xperia S / Acro S - Sony Xperia S, Acro S, Ion

The purpose of this rom is to provide a rom not so far of the AOSP with some cool features (nAOSP means "near AOSP").
This rom is legacy of @mickybart's work from 5.0 to 7.1 versions. He also did initial rom setup for oreo.
This version is based on @AdrianDC oreo port for huashan/blue devices.

Please, read the 6.0 procedure to flash this ROM.
If you come from nAOSP 6.0 or 7.x you should clean flash.

I am using OpenGapps micro 8.1 arm.
When clean flashing, flash rom and gapps together. I've disabled setup wizard, so set up account from settings.

@millosr Hi Friend, well friend I did a dirty flash, so far the Rom work fine, proximity sensor is working , not tested yet hot spot or otg. I continue testing and let you know if I found some issues.

I found the best battery life was gained in Android 5.1 builds at around 5days idle, with only 2-3days idle time on newer 6.0-7.0 builds.
The screens(342ppi) on these older devices chew through the battery so OST will never be that great on any version using an Xperia S, where you're probably counting the time in hours, not days.
I'll have to make a few spiders homeless and fire up my XS and see how it fares with the 'latest' OS.
Thanks @millosr

well after having tried the ROM during this time I can say that it works excellent I made some modifications like using the pixel launcher to install the app duo dialer and pixel (include weather) contacts and all its working perfectly
Excellent work @millosr
Now waiting for the next update

[ROM][MAGURO][5.1.1][SaberMod] SlimLP 5.1 (Build 12/25)

Hi guys,
I'm trying to learn something about Android, GIT and Linux, and best way to do so is getting my hands dirty.
As a Slim user I'm playing a bit with with SlimROMs, and since they dropped support for our device, I'm sharing with you my builds.
FAQs:
SlimLP 5.1:
Q: Is SlimLP stable enough for daily use?
A: If you don't mind the issues reported bellow, yeah, it is.
Q: Can I use another kernel?
A: Yes, of course. Just be sure it includes new PVR drivers.
Q: Are RRO Overlays supported?
A: Yes.
Q: Is F2FS supported?
A: Yes, you can use F2FS as FS for data/ and cache/
Q: Is Xposed working on this ROM?
A: Yes.
SlimKAT:
Q: Is this SlimKAT build different from OFFICIAL?
A: It's just SlimKAT "stock", you will notice no difference between this and official. It's built with Linaro and has some optimizations under the hood.
Q: Is it really faster/smoother?
A: I would say YES, but I can't guarantee over placebo effect, so I will just say that I've got a slightly better average score [~7-8%] in Antutu Benchmarks, for what it's worth. Let me know guys.
Q: Is F2FS supported? A: Nope. You have to use this tool and a kernel that supports F2FS.
Q: Will you...
... update this ROM? A: r2 is already up to date with official.
... publish a changelog? A: Yes. See next post.
... push more tweaks and switch to new PVR? A: I hope so. I would like to say "I will update ALL THE THINGS" but as an engineering student I can't really promise I will.
Q: What kind of optimizations? A:
SlimKAT is built with Linaro 4.8.3 [2014.04]. -O3, LTO, C++11 and strict aliasing are enabled.
Built-in Kernel is compiled with with Linaro 4.9.3 [2014.11] optimized for ARM Cortex-A9. Anyway, it is built from official source and has no enhancement, so I highly recommend you use a custom kernel for better performances and battery life.
Thanks:
Really HUGE thanks to @MWisBest, @Ziyan and to everyone who is working on SlimROMs.

Please, make a Nandroid backup of ALL your partitions (system, data, boot, EFS).
These zips work for me, but you know Murphy's law is always ready to strike.
Known issues: If you find more, please, let me know.
SlimLP: [what is NOT working yet - the most are common to all Lollipop (5.0 and 5.1) based ROMs]
There's still a small band on the bottom of recorded videos;
Do you have an issue with your device? Here's How to Report an Issue or a Bug:
Please, before reporting any issues take these few steps. Many of the bugs are NOT caused by the ROM itself.
Are you sure you installed the right Gapps package? If not, flash SlimLP one.
Have you recently installed (or updated) any app or Xposed module? If so, uninstall or disable it.
Disable Xposed.
Are you using stock kernel?
Have you dirty flashed over your previous installation?
5.1 requires a factory reset if coming from 5.0 or older.
Still got the issue? Take a logcat and a dmesg and attach them to your report.
Screenshots are welcome if you think they might help.
Keep in mind that "MY GNEX IS LAGGY!!!" is NOT a useful bug report.

Hey guys, I'm uploading r2 right now.
I'm sorry it took so long but I had to fix some bugs and each one required at least one clean build.
I tried to build with SaberMod 4.8.5, I got slightly better performances but had sudden reboots enabling WiFi, so I had to revert to Linaro 4.8.3.
LinkTimeOptimization is now enabled (for real). Video playback is fine, video recording should, too.
Changelog is now available in post #2.

This ROM is still KitKat based and doesn't use new GPU drivers, so yeah, camera and offline charging are working.
CM12 and FML are based on Lollipop instead.

Thank you for this amazing work.
SlimKat 9.0 the final release for kitkat is out, when will you work on it?
please don't forget to add the torch tile in quicksettings.
thanks

Everything should be already up to date since r2. I'll let you know.
I forgot to re-add torch, my bad. :|
Atm I'm working on Lollipop, I got it booting right now (you see my avatar? well, that's an actual picture of me) using @bsmitty83's FML beta-3 kernel.
The one I'm compiling won't work. I've got several logs, I hope I'll figure out what's wrong with it.
Audio is working fine, data too (on edge, I can't test HSDPA atm as I've got a very weak signal at my home), Camera2 doesn't save any picture, ...
BUT HEY, IT'S SLIMLP ON MAGURO!
Thanks again to @MWisBest, @Ziyan and @freshgiammi.
----- Edit
I heard you like test builds, so I'm uploading this one. I have to study for my exams and I don't think I'll work on it anymore for today.

SlimLP should, but SlimKAT r2 doesn't support F2FS, you have to use poo706's tool. I'll add f2fs support in r3, I think.
Edit:
Errata corrige, I didn't add f2fs support in device tree. You'll have to wait for next builds. However, keep in mind that adding f2fs support is not my priority. I have to get kernel working and try to help with camera.
New build is up.
Changelog:
- Built-in kernel is now working. Overclock is not enabled.
You can use another kernel, of course. Just be sure the one you're going to flash includes new PVR drivers (eg bsmitty83's betas).
- Stock camera is now saving pictures (YEEEEEEEEEEEEE!), unless you switch flashlight toggle on in notification drawer. If so, you probably need to reboot and\or clear camera cache in Settings > Apps > Camera;
- Now using same toolchains as SlimKAT, check first post;
- Synced up with SlimLP repos;
What's not working yet:
- Video recording and video playback.
- Offline charging
- If you boot while in airplane mode you will be prompted to enter your PIN and won't be able to unlock your SIM. You should manage to disable airplane mode before being prompted for it.
- More common to all LP builds and not. If you find more, please, let me know.
Edit: I made a mess with download links, please check you're downloading test build 2.

I mean that flashlight toggle in notification drawer (check this gif) is not working and will break camera until reboot.
Flashlight is working in camera.
Some of the photos I took last night look slightly yellowish. I can't really say, I'm going out and I had to restore SlimKAT as I need everything working :/
You're welcome.

Actually, these builds are not meant for daily use, but they're stable enough if you don't mind the issues in post #1. Make a full nandroid backup before flashing.
We're trying to get everything working, so yes, camera will get better, of course.

Yes, latest one. But please wait for next release, this one is quite unstable and works only on one revision of S3 Mini.

What is "tile for activating\deactivating battery charging"?
- this is system icon(like performance profiles) which permits\prohibits the supply of current to the battery at the time when the charger is connected.
Why do we need that tile?
- if you play, watch a movie or perform another costly action, then activating this mode will save the battery from unnecessary wear because energy will go directly from the charger. But you need a fairly powerful charger, if the power of the charger is not enough, then partially the consumption will be compensated by the battery.
What happens if you do not install TosForPSCI-0.1?
- at best, only one CPU core will be active. At worst, the recovery will not be started (if it has not been updated too) and the system too.
How to roll back on the firmware version, which came out before November?
- download TosForPSCI-0.2 and recovery. You'll be able to flash older ROMs after installing them
Why do I need to lower the PSCI version from 0.2 to 0.1?
- Using version 0.1 fixes a problem with shutting down a device.
Finally!an XDA thread.big thanks to Artemka2008
finally on xda thread!!big thanks to this rom contributor.
Best Rom for mi pad 1,dirty flash from previous build, works like a charm
Spassiba!
Absolutely great to see you back in XDA.
I've been following your progress thru 4pda.ru but sometimes google translate just doesn't do justice.
I would like to ask ppl who have used this ROM that how is the deep sleep power consumption?
There was few interesting changes in the 24.7 and 19.8 versions that could make the stand-by drainage less severe.

5. Rom can boot on locked bootloader, but if you require root and Magisk, you must unlock
6. Various options from the top down starting from Status bar to Navigation bar.
7. Gestures, etc.
8. Kernel is the same as in Jaguar Pie with many security commits from Linux Hardened project
9. MicroG support
10. Adaway entries incorporated into Android native hosts file.
11. Calendar and Calculator with their own extensive theming options added, credit to Tibor Kaputa of Simple Mobile Tools
12. Toggle in Wireless options to get rid of Captive Portal (no more little 'x' if Captive Portal is removed)
and more...
Regular features include various customizations in statusbar, lockscreen, gestures, aggressive battery, smart battery, battery bar, ambient display, hardware buttons, smart pixels, power menu, notifications. Almost every custom feature from Pie has been ported

Some screenshots:
Preamble:
1. Android Q no longer has FDE, just FBE. So, Jaguar is force-encrypt, which means the phone will be encrypted on first boot. Don't use 'no force-encrypt addons', as you will have problems with hardware (WIFI/GPS/Bluetooth etc), as much of the init related code in Q have been re-written to adapt to 'force-encrypt' FBE. There is no reason whatsoever not to encrypt your phone. The only temporary con is that every time before upgrading, you would have to remove your pin code, that is until the Q version of TWRP is available
2. Locked bootloader: The rom will boot and function on locked bootloader with no warning whatsoever (like on stock). However, since Android Q no longer has AVB v1 boot signing (It has been replaced with AVB v2), on device signing is no longer available. That means any kernel modification (such as what Magisk does) will result in a red warning screen and no boot. So, if you want Magisk and Root, unlock your bootloader
Instructions:
1. If you are coming from any Pie rom, including stock, full wipe is required including internal SD card. That means selecting 'Wipe' and 'Format Data' in TWRP, where you'd need to enter 'Yes' to confirm formatting. Such formatting will erase everything on your internal SD card including all previous TWRP backups. So, transfer whatever you need to a PC. After formatting, reboot in TWRP again.
2. Make sure to have at least 9.0.9 firmware. Otherwise, flashing will abort
3. TWRP: wipe System/Data/Vendor/Cache
4. Flash the rom and boot once. After that do whatever you want: Gapps/Magisk, etc. .

Fixed.
Play Store works neither with microG nor with gapps. Seems to be a problem with Jaguar, as a full clean install had the same problem. I just normally installed 9.0.10 firmware with Jaguar, Magisk and Gapps, but Play Store stuck at pending the download.

1. See if anyone else has this problem.
2. Did you boot once before installing Gapps and Magisk?
3. Check if you didn't restrict wifi/mobile for 'Downloads' and 'Download manager'
4. If none of the above works, then open /system/system/etc/hosts, delete everything after '::1 localhost' (leave one empty line in the end), save and reboot. It is possible that the Adaway hosts file has some entries preventing connection
Had same issue but while deleting some hosts from the host file it started downloading from the play store

I think you have cut too much. Those were a few google entries like google syndication etc..
For now, everyone could use your file and manually transfer it (in TWRP) to /system/system/etc

Development [ROM][11.0_r68]JAGUAR ONEPLUS 9 Pro OFFICIAL V33 Updated June 7, 2023

TELEGRAM CHANNEL ADDED: HERE
TELEGRAM CHAT GROUP: HERE
Jaguar is available on locked bootloader with working root (Magisk)
SAFETY NET PASSING FIXED AS OF Version 19 (confirmed)
Instructions Here
You can actually use alarm when the phone is shut down. It would boot 2 minutes prior to scheduled time and trigger the alarm on time
This is official build of Jaguar Rom.
I have been building Android roms since 2012 for various devices including multiple Sonys, Lenovo Zuk, Oneplus 3, Oneplus 5 and Oneplus 6 and Oneplus 8 series. You can check my Oneplus 8 or Oneplus 8T or Oneplus 6 or Oneplus 6T or Oneplus 8 Pro threads.
Jaguar rom is focused on hardening of AndroidOS and kernel. As such, the rom has hardened bionic, art, framework and tightened security.
1 Rom control with custom Power options, Statusbar, Buttons, Navbar, Quicksettings, Lockscreen, Notifications, Gestures, Themes etc...
2. Heavily modified Art, Bionic System/Vold and System/Security
3. Telephony response to Type Zero sms ('silently acknowledged') disabled
4. Toggle to disable Captive Portal logging.
5. Speakerphone proximity sensor toggle - could be set to automatically switch to speaker when not at the ear
6. IMEI and phone numbers hidden in About menu
7. Built-in encrypted DNS providers, such as: Cloudflare (US); LibreDns (Germany); AdguardDns (Cyprus); and PowerDns (Netherlands)
8. Wakelock and Alarmblocker
9. Fully working Call recording with the button visible in Dialer
10. Deskclock app modified to work with PowerOn alarm. The app will boot the phone 2 minutes before scheduled time to trigger the alarm on time
11. Default Dark mode
12. All regular customizations plus. You tell me which feature is missing.
13. Prebuilt Magisk 23 (coming soon to 9 Pro). You wouldn't have to flash it, just need to install Magisk manager.
Install instructions (first time use)
OOS 11 in both slots. This is not a Jaguar requirement, but rather a universal one for any custom rom, including Android 12.
Keep in mind, MSM takes care of one slot only. You need to manually install OOS-11 into another slot. Either boot into system (after MSM) and install OOS-11 by using a local option or boot into TWRP and install OOS-11 again. If there is no suitable OOS-11 for your device (branded etc), use Lineage's partition copy method. Link here
1. Fastboot flash recovery images:
Code:
fastboot flash boot_a boot.img
fastboot flash boot_b boot.img
2. Reboot in recovery (TWRP), now Lineage type, sideload and flash the rom, factory reset and reboot.
If you want Gapps on Vanilla (not necessary on Full version), they should be flashed before the first boot into system, i.e., after flashing the rom, reboot in Recovery (mandatory) and flash Gapps.
When downloading from XDA or Android File host, put your browser in incognito.

Kernel Source Code: HERE
ROM OS Version: 11.x R
ROM Kernel: Linux 5.x
ROM Firmware Required: OOS11 in both slots
Based On: AOSP/Lineage/DirtyUnicorn/Crdroid
Version Information
Status: Stable
Stable Release Date: 2021-01-26
Created: 2022-01-26
Updated: 2023-06-07

The rom could be used on locked bootloader with ROOT (donate feature) with or without Gapps.
The benefits of LOCKED BOOTLOADER combined with WORKING AVB-2 protection are:
Get your DRM L1 certificate back. Most banking apps (if not all) will work with or without Magisk: you cimply get a warning 'your devices is rooted', but you can proceed to login
Security: Nobody and nothing can modify Kernel, Recovery and Virtual Partitions without triggering a red screen of death with the message 'your device is corrupted and cannot boot'.
At that point, the only option is to unlock bootloader. But, if a user had previously disabled OEM unlock in Developer settings, then unlocking becomes unavailable, and so does flashing via fastboot. In other words, if your phone gets into the hands of an adversary, their only option is to use MSM tool to make the phone work again, but no access to your data or any other partition.
The rom can also allow you to flash Magisk on locked bootloader. If interested, send me a PM.
Some screenshots of the rom (from Oneplus 8 thread): HERE
WHEN DOWNLOADING FROM XDA, PUT YOUR BROWSER IN INCOGNITO
For Indian Users Only: If you don't have 5G, that means that you have an older handset and Indian carriers didn't provide their modem configuration to Oneplus in time. In this case, use QPST method which has been confirmed working

I'm interested in flashing but want to know about the locked bootloader feature. I'd seen that it's been a possibility for some time but not sure I've understood what I've seen about it, and you say it is a donate feature. Does that mean we need to donate, then get a flashable file that would prevent bricking upon locking the bootloader, or is it simpler/more complex than that?

Yes. The process is as easy as it gets: you just flash one file in fastboot and relock.
This issue has been run by XDA moderators and their official response was: this donate feature is allowed, see HERE from my Oneplus 8 Pro thread:
About donation features: YES, IT'S ALLOWED! Sometimes. Shocker, I know. The moderation team may be tasked with – among many many many other things – shutting down projects that have only the goal of making money but this does not mean that donation features are forbidden. We expect that core features and most important functionality of any release remains free. We also understand that developing software is hard work which should be rewarded. Our goal is to find a balance and we do this together, as a community. To achieve this we often work with developers to find the best outcome for everyone.

Great to know, just finding the time to flash and restore is what's holding me back, but will try it out soon
Bro, I appreciate your work on rom. However, few bugs I should mention:
1. There is a bug that recent key button doesn't work. I tried everything. Even in gesture it doesn't work.
2. Speaker sound is bit low compare to OOS 11.
3. Wifi speed is just bit slower compare to OOS 11.
4. Some apps crashes like Tiktok, Skype and Banking app.
other than that, good rom. Nice job

You probably installed another launcher. Starting from Android 10, only one launcher can have recents. You need a Magisk module that will switch to your specific launcher and then you'll have recents.
WIFI: My home internet connection speed is 300MB. My PC is hardwired and shows about 330/330MB, my Oneplus 8 shows around 310/290MB. See screenshot:

in future jaguar rom updates you release, it is posible to update with dirty flash in relocked bootloader?
Also, how much time you hoping to support this op9pro rom? You will release only Security patches?

After relocking, updates are done the same way as with unlocked bootloader. You'd only need to unlock, if you switch to another rom.
9 Pro will be supported for longer than Oneplus 6s and 8s. Android 12 will replace 11 eventually, probably around r30.

Install another Gapps package that doesn't override launcher. Or open a configuration file in your current gapps zip, There will be a list of apps to install. Find a launcher (Google or whatever it is) and either delete the line or put an '#' at the beginning of it.
Or find the same of the launcher in Settings/Apps and Notification and install a Magisk module that switches recents to the new launcher.

Don't install the full package. Do Pico and then install additional apps you need as regular apps.
This is not a rom problem. As I have already said, Android frameworks allow only one app to be registered for Quickstep recents. To have another launcher, you must use Magisk module that does the switching.
