Is it possible to customize the LED color depending on they notification type? If I keep it on silent I would like to make the text notification say blue, and the email notification green. I Was able to do this on a 13 year old Motorola Razor but can't seem to find if it's possible with the Q7+.

Not possible, Need an RGB led for that.

Hey guys i have used previous HTC phones like the desire......in those phones we are able to change the color of the notification led to as many as 8 colors i think...so do you think the led on the one x is capable of many colors or just green and red?
no chance for any other colors. There are just these two LED placed in the HOX, green and red.
What's app has a setting to change notification light color but it doesn't work.

But i think that its the same led used in all the phones.....they have the RGB and it can produce many colors...i think its not enabled by HTC....my old desire had the option to choose the color in each app...

I see in your sig that you have had a few blackberries…. hence the question about LED's?
I tried the multi change apps on my 9900 but they got to confusing to remember what colour meant what lol

No it is only white.
What a shame
The thing that bothers me is that nowhere in any review the said that is only white. I watched and red like 15 reviews and neither of them said its only white...
Not a problem at all tho.

It's not possible is just white
It's a single colour notification led, so customising it is not possible.
