Sideload Prime Video and setting custom content - Fire TV Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I live in Netherlands but have my devices setup with my US address and don’t want to change this. Is there a way to sideload the Dutch Prime Video app so I can use Prime Video in Holland? I thought I saw a way to do this before but cannot find it any longer in search.
Also is there a way to set custom content? Like deleting NBC, Crackle etc and only showing content from Netflix and Prime Video?

Mods - Can you move this to the Q/A section?

Google TV & Movies app for Kindle Fire?

I have done some search and have be unable to find something like was I am looking for. Also I would like to start off by saying sorry if this is not the correct area to post this, but it was the area that made since to me.
On the Kindle Fire there are different applications for streaming video content that you can install, but currently the only one way, that i know of, for searching that content. That is that you go into their respective application individually and do a search one at a time for the movie you are looking for.
On the Google TV there is an application, called TV & Movies for Google TV, that allows you to search all your media sources for the movie/video you are looking for, called Google TV & Movies. I am sure it would not work on the Kindle Fire, but the idea is still one that amazes me.
I guess before I make this to long I should ask, is there an application out there that will do vertically the same exact thing? Is there a 'TV & Movies for Google TV' but instead for the Kindle fire?
It would be nice if it would search for the applications already installed (so it knows which ones to search and display videos from), display content in a nice and easy UI (similar to that on Google TV), and of course take you right to the content with a click of a button or two. I don't know, maybe I am asking for two much... I just intend to use the fire as a primary personal Video consumption device (of course that is if I get one for Christmas... if not I will be saving up to get one on my own).
Thank you in advance,

Root hack for new Google Play Movies & TV app?

The latest update to the play store allows us to purchase movies and gives us access to TV content. I have the modded Google video app that allows me to access content on my rooted device. My problem is I can't access any of the new content on my device. It doesn't display TV shows or allow the purchase of movies. Is there a newer mod available of the Google Movie app?
Found it!
You can find it in this thread:

Now I'm able to access tv content and purchase movies!

Just picked up a Fire 8.9 and have a question.
Can you still watch videos on Amazon Instant Video if the device

If not can you use a temp un-root app to watch Instant Video content ?

Amazon Instant Video is unaffected by rooting, only way it would likely stop working is if you start disabling/removing the Amazon services & other stuff it relies on.
Simply answers is: No, the rooting process doesn't break it
I can say from experience though (and it's not something I saw in any of the rooting tutorials) after you install google play you will want to find all of the amazon apps (shopper, music, kindle, etc) and DISABLE automatic updates via google play for those apps. Else you're going to end up with versions that do not work with the amazon carousel.

recording on Firestick 2 with Kodi?

I have a Firestick 2 on which I installed Kodi. It works well but I'm new at this.
Is it possible to record a streaming video for later viewing? How?
Thanks.
You want to view the video offline or cache it? Firestick doesn't have much storage space, so I'd say this is not a supported feature. You need to give details about the stream/plugin you're using.
There is a way to add storage space using a usb. So that's not an unsurmountable obstacle.
Also, though kodi does not have screen recording capability there is apparently a way to view the content on vlc (which does) instead of the kodi viewer but I don't know how.
I would love to watch the content later, the way one does with a tv dvr. That would be really cool.

Your over complicating things with screen recording. Unless it is live tv. Which you should probably use Mobdro for. On Kodi some Addons let u download stuff while others do not. So try them out & see if download/save is part of that Addons option. Or use Terrarium which will let you do that. Check YouTube for all this options. Hint: Best build for most Amazon devices goggle FireTVGuru . net
Thank you very much. I'm new at this and learning. Will explore the options you suggested. Thank you.
Several people have suggested Exodus as "the" addon to install. Do you happen to know if it will allow you to record its streams?
Thank you again.

np, Exodus download option is disabled by default. You have to go into settings to enable it. Same in SALTS. Phoenix seems to have that option too.
If you want to get more specific. You should go to w w w.TVAddons.ag
Thank you very much. You are a great source of information and very helpful.

I couldn't find an official national geographic app other than one for people who are on optus in Australia & a subscription magazine app
All the rest look like unofficial apps which link to video content available on YouTube
I recommend just streaming the content from YouTube to the firestick or if you want to try & see if the stick supports one of these unofficial apps just download it on your phone then use apps2fire (playstore) to send it to the stick to install
