Tulsadiver Mods - Android 11 and 12 ADB Installer-Zip Installer, creates magisk module - Google Pixel 3 XL Themes, Apps, and Mods

This is in place until TWRP is ready. You need root and of course you need to be attached to your PC. On first installation of systemui base, a pop-up asking to give ADB shell root permission will show. Please do so.
The purpose of this installer is to generate for you a custom module that you can flash in Magisk Manager. It will have all the mods that you have selected from the installer menu.
Custom clocks (date, etc) and internet speed indicators do not change colors due to light-dark background colors like the statusbar icons do.
The developer of Active edge gave me permission to use his base so that people would not have to make a choice between his and my mods. All credit for this goes to him. You must delete the active edge sense module and use one of my active edge modules. If it doesn't say active edge then it isn't active edge sense compatible. If there is an issue with edge sense after flashing, do not contact edge sense op with issues. He does not troubleshoot modified versions of his mod (and neither do I).
I'm also including my Pixel Launcher mod. Also a ADB Installer. You can change app drawer background-text color (separately for light mode and dark mode), remove weather from Launcher. Change the number of hot seat icons on home page (and size) as well as change the number of columns in the app drawer.
ADB Installer Instructions-Root is required
1. Flash one of the SystemUI Bases First. They provide the necessary smali files and public ID's for everything to work. Use colorable bases if you want to be able to change QS circle colors.
2. FLASH ALL THE MODS YOU WANT. ONCE YOU DONE WITH EVERYTHING, FLASH THE "COMPLETE INSTALLATION" Option. This will create a Magisk Manager flashable zip in a folder on your sdcard called ozop. Flash that to install your selection of mods.
Root required
Instructions.
1. Unzip ADB Mods Installer Files.zip on your PC
2. Run TulsadiverModsInstaller.bat (Give ADB Root Permissions)
3. ADB debugging Enabled
4. Flash one of the SystemUI Bases First. They provide the necessary smali files and public ID's for everything to work
5. Go through the other options selecting what all mods you want. It is generally best to start at the top and work your way down.
6. Once finished with selections, run "Complete Installation" at the bottom. This will generate your mymagisk.zip module in a folder called "ozop" on your sdcard.
Includes powershell installer, one for windows, one for linux.

TWRP themes for those that like things a little different
A couple of TWRP themes. These were made by G.M.L. and he deserves all the credit. His thread is here:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/themes/themes-twrp-theming-links-development-t3598833
I tweaked them to work on the Pixel 3 XL with it's notch and large status bar. Top Shelf and Transparent.
To apply:. Make a folder in your sdcard's TWRP folder called theme. Put one of the themes in the folder and rename it ui.zip. The next time you boot into TWRP it will be there.

I don't have Windows 10 but I wouldn't think that would matter. Do you have root? Do you have adb degugging checked in developers menu? Did you give adb root privileges when you tried to install your first one? A pop-up should have come up.

Yeah sending ADB commands is working fine, I didn't get the SU prompt when I ran the .bat but I ran adb shell / su in another terminal to get ADB granted root right.

It's perfect.

installing systemui base gives me permission denied in the command prompt and trying framework stock-like base i assume doesnt install and doesnt reboot my phone automatically

I don't see left clock... will center clock move it to the left side?

Thanks for testing and figuring out how to work it on Windows 10.
It did take a while to get it going but I've had a ADB base for a while. There are always times in between root and TWRP so I thought it would come in handy. I just had to update a lot of .bat files which was a bit tedious. While I sure do enjoy a beer(s), more than my wife cares for, no need. Hitting the thanks button is plenty fine. I'm sure there are a lot of typos since I put this together as fast as I could.
I'll get this out on the Pixel 3 forum now that I know it is working at least to some extent.

You can try this. Should have left clocks and in the internet traffic menu, an option to remove wifi-data.

Can you please tell me how to make changes?
So I already flashed both the base and framework... Then I selected 3minit and did a complete install. How do I now change to left clock, no data/wifi icons, and keep 3minit?
Thanks!

Flash left clock, flash remove wifi-data, flash complete installation.

So here is what I found;
Left clock worked
removing the wifi+data icon worked
when i selected #23 Number of QS Columns --> #4 (6 columns) i end up with a 4 column
There was no remove carrier text for left clock
Just some feedback... thanks again for your hard work!

[MODS] Statusbar-Navbar-Misc Mods-Aroma installer and Aroma Magisk Module Mod Maker

I have this on the Pixel thread but it should work on the Pixel XL too. Based on July update and for stock based ROMs. If you plan on installing the 3Minit battery mod you must first install the 3Minit Resources app below.
The regular Aroma installs each mod as you go. You must flash one of the bases at the bottom of the list before you install any of the other mods. These contain the smali files and some modded xml files.
Correct method regular Aroma
You need only flash a base one time. If you flash a base a second time it wipes out all previous mods and you start with a clean base. The different bases affect Internet speed mods only. If you are not interested in Internet speed mods, any base will do. Each mod is installed at the time you hit install (unlike the Magisk version where the mods are collected until you are ready to make your module). It pulls your apk, mods it, then reinstalls it. Before you hit finish, you can check the box at the top of the page, then hit finish, and install another mod and keep doing this until you have what you want.
The Magisk Module Maker stores each selection until you are done. You then flash the Magisk Module selection (very first one in the Aroma). It creates a module on your sdcard. When you are out of the Aroma and back in TWRP, go back to install and find the magisk.zip that is in the Magisk folder on your sdcard and flash it. If you left something off or want to change some things, flash Aroma again. After installing the mods you want, select the second option of Module add-on. This will mod your current setup so you don't have to reflash everything over again. The bootanimation, signature check disabler, and louder effect tics don't work on Magisk yet. You can put them in manually through TWRP.
Like I said, these should work but I don't have a Pixel XL so flash at your own risk.

Try just installing the bases and nothing else. You might install BusyBox first. Reboot, then flash just the base. Nothing different between these two aromas except for the install method. .

Okay, here is what I did. I flashed back to stock, rerooted with SuperSU instead of magisk, flashed this aroma and installed the base you did, a couple of mods and rebooted. It borked my phone but I have a pixel, not a pixel XL so I expected that. I did however, boot into TWRP, pull off the systemuigoogle.apk before I flashed everything over again and did a factory reset. It looked nothing like the one you gave me and it decompiled just fine. All smalis were there as well as 3 Minit mod. I'm not sure where things are going wrong for you but everything looks fine as far as I can tell. This is what I pulled off. You are welcome to try it.
Edit: I was dumb enough to do this twice. This one has 3minit mod on it. Install the 3minit resources app before using this Systemui
Thank you but it does exactly the same as my systemui, got the 4 column QS but no center clock or 3minit. Can anyone else with a stock rooted xl confirm this as working?
Thanks

[MODS] Android Oreo 8.1 June update Aroma installer misc. Mods

I don't have a Pixel XL but I have this working on the Pixel. If someone wants to give this a try, let me know if it works.
1. Install busybox first (please see the Busybox to use below).
2. You must install one of the four bases before flashing any of the other mods. You need only flash a base once unless you want to start completely over. Even if you come back later on, you should be good.
After you do those two things, the others can be flashed in any order. Sometimes best to install clock last if you want a center clock. If you get double icons on lockscreen, flash clock again and that should be fixed (or battery percent if you flashed it and flashing clock doesn't fix it).
3minit resources APK needs to be installed before 3 Minit battery is flashed (please see 3minit app below).
Make a backup first! If for some reason your phone starts to do a factory reset, quickly boot into bootloader, bottom TWRP, and flash a base. This will usually fix it.
The Aroma's come with the following options:
Stock in bases
Full systemui tuner
Invisible Power button on far right side of Statusbar
Full 4 way rotation
4 column QS tiles
Options
Clock positions and formats
Navbar height adjustment
Navbar Remover
3 Minit battery
Enabled stock WiFi-Data in-out arrows
One Percent Battery Mod with 7 different batteries
Colored statusbar icons
Colored Navbar Icons
Colored Traffic speed meter up over down or separately. Up and down can be different colors.
Colored Notification Backgrounds
Colored Notification Text
Colored QS backgrounds
Battery percentage in text format
Dpad option on NavBar to move curser left or right
New Internet speed-separate in and out
Navbar swap of back and recents
Invisible power button on statusbar can be removed and, or put on the NavBar too.
Underlined text in QS pulldown
The 3 Column QS option is a mod. Flash a base first, then 3 Column
Ability to add your own custom NavBar icons:
Instructions:
Make a folder on your sdcard called "custom"
Put the NavBar Icons of choice in it. Don't forget "dark" ones if you want them to change color on light background
If the Icons are material by google, select the option corresponding to your Navbar height. If they are not material, flash "custom icons with no padding" (last option under Navbar height). In order to swap icons you will have to go back and flash aroma again and flash either navbar swap with corresponding navbar height if they are material or custom navbar swap, (last option under Navbar swap) if not material.

Oops guess my busybox version is ****ty.... all fixed now! Thanks a bunch for your mod!! Missed LMT so much.
I used supersu SR3, does this BusyBox work with it? I was reading a few other threads and can't seem to find a definitive answer as to what BusyBox will work with SR3.
Yes it does.
Hi. Thanks for this. Do you have to flash one of the bases before each mod? For instance do you have to flash a base them the 3 Minit mod then flash another base to flash another mod? I can't seem to get the center clock mod and the 3 Minit mod to both stick at the same time.
Nevermind figured it out! This is awesome!
So glad this mod got updated to Oreo... Loved it on my Pixel, works like a charm on the XL!! The cc and 3minit mod are necessary, thanks for updating this dev
I am unable to get this to work.
I flashed busy box, tried 2 of the bases (in case that was my issue) and center clock and semi-transparent notification background and no changes take effect. Am I missing something?
Can you change your OP to give a little bit of information on what Busybox is required and also flash order? Lots of people are going to end up in factory reset with this mod otherwise. Thanks in advance

The Busybox to be used is included in the very post. Flash it.
The flashing order is to flash one of the 6 bases at the bottom of the Aroma (0-2, 0-3, 0-4, 250-2, 250-3, 250-4)
The others can be flashed after that in any order. Sometimes better to flash clock last if you want a center clock because you can get double icons on lockscreen. If that occurs, flash clock again. Anyone that uses 3minit knows to install the resources app first but that is also explained in first post and the app is included in the first post. If for some reason your phone starts a factory reset, quickly boot to bootloader, boot to TWRP, and flash one of the six bases. This won't work 100 percent of the time but usually will.
Working fine here
Is there a way to remove busybox after installing the mods? or will uninstalling busybox revert them back to stock? I forgot busybox would mess with Samsung Pay and I'd rather have that than these mods even though I really like them. Thanks.

Is there a way to get the default notifications background and navbar back?

Android 10 Various Mods, Zip installer

Bases other than stock-like comes with right clock but you can change it.
Stock like bases are limited to as what can be modded if you choose them. I suggest starting with first selection on SystemUI base and framework gray (color of QS Icons) instead of stock-like and making changes from there.
DARK MODE- If you want to use dark mode, flash SystemUI stock like base but no framework base. You can't change QS Columns or any color mods. Clocks, internet speed, batteries, etc is all
ADB Method
1. Unzip ADB Mods Installer Files.zip on your PC
2. ADB debugging Enabled

Zip Method to be Flashed in TWRP.
I put together a zipped folder of individual installs that can be flashed from TWRP. Take this zip and unzip it on to your internal sdcard. There are folders with descriptions of what is inside. Each mod is flashed individually and the same rules apply such as bases for SystemUI and framework must be flashed first , etc. There is a "Complete installation" zip to flash after bases and mods are selected. Nothing is installed until you flash it. There is an option for regular installation or magisk module type installation. The magisk version isn't actually a module but shows up as one in magisk manager after flashing.
Sizing for Custom batteries and custom Text batteries are hit and miss. Just re-flash the custom battery to reset or try another size if needed.
Install minitbatteryresources.apk prior to flashing 3Minit Battery Mod.
I only support my zip method of installation now. Aroma quit working on newer phones like Pixel 3 series.
Root required

First you have to install the minitbatteryresources.apk, then flash the 3minit mod. If you want additional battery icons you must get the 3minit battery apk from playstore.

Custom Magisk Module Mod Maker-ADB and Zip Installers

The purpose of this installer is to generate for you a custom module that you can flash in Magisk Manager. It will have all the mods that you have selected from the installer menu. You need root and of course you need to be attached to your PC. On first installation of systemui base, a pop-up asking to give ADB shell root permission will show. Please do so.
Zip installer is installed from your phone, not your pc. You will install the mods through Magisk app. Unzip the Zip Installer onto your internal sdcard. Like ADB installer, start with a SystemUI base. Do not reboot between selections as Magisk as shows after flashing selections (options are found inside the numbered folders). Hit the back button to make your next selection. Do not reboot thru Magisk until after you are done with your selections and have flashed the "Complete Installation" zip.
Custom clocks (date, etc) and internet speed indicators do not change colors due to light-dark background colors like the statusbar icons do.
Android 11

Just finished building a basic mod with Active Edge, center clock with day, and WiFi traffic. Everything works perfectly.
Thanks again!
Hi,
Thanks for this.
I managed to get a center clock , and swap the nav bar around. :good:
If I want to add more things , like changing text colors in qs for example , do I have to make an entire new mymagisk.zip?
I.E. run the base and framework again?
If I do , will I have to run the center clock and nav swap again?
And what happens to the mymagisk.zip?
Does it get replaced , or do I have to delete it before I start again?
Had another thought, will we need to rebuild the module when the monthly updates come like it was in the past?

Yes, you have to redo everything you did previously and add the new ones as well. Apks can only be modded once in magisk so it has to be done over. The module.prop remains the same. mymagisk.zip will be over-written and once flashed, the module will be replaced. No need to remove. What I do is rename my mymagisk.zip to something else and leave it in case I want to use it again. Again, the module prop is the same so it will over-write what is currently installed.

Depends on what changes. Lots of times the SystemUIGoogle.apk and framework-res.apk are left unchanged in updates. But if it changes, I'll have to build and upload another new updated ADB Installer.
Edit: that is why I try to put dates on my uploads.

I actually find this method easier than faffing around in TWRP.
Good idea to keep the ready made "mymagisk.zips" for future re-use

Yes and if someone likes your setup you can share your ready made zip with someone else. I make them for people all the time as this can be difficult for some people and also the ADB Installer is a large zip. Some people have poor internet connections.

Sorry to double post, but have you @Tulsadiver heard anything about the Active Edge Magisk module support causing slow downs, freezes, and needing to hard reboot to get the phone responding again?
A post in Freak07's kernel thread theorizes that: https://forum.xda-developers.com/pi...aq-1-0-0-pixel-4-xl-aka-t3992213/post80749011
After removing the Active Edge support from your mods and moving to flar2's Button Remapper fixed the issue for me so far.
Any thoughts as to why the Active Edge modifications would cause issues for Pixel 4's?

None. I've never used it before. I did have to get it in a weird way. He no longer puts the SystemUIGoogle.apk for each phone in the module but edits the apks on the fly. I had someone pull me a copy from the module after it was installed. Maybe the 4 xl is different enough to cause issues. He has a telegram thread. Try posting there.

Did you run 30 - Complete Installation?
You should end up with the module zip in a folder name ozop. That's where mine end up.

Themes / Apps / Mods Custom Magisk Module Mod Maker-ADB and Zip Installers

For Stock-Rooted Only (Android 13).
The purpose of this installer is to generate a custom module that can be flashed in Magisk App. It will have all the mods that were selected from the installer menu. You need to be stock with root and of course you need to be attached to your PC. On first installation, a pop-up asking to give ADB shell root permission will show. Please do so. This will only happen once.
I internet speed indicators do not change colors due to light-dark background colors. The colored statusbar icons should.
After Installing this module, your screen will relock after every reboot of your phone. You unlock it the first time, in about a second it will relock itself and you will have to unlock it again. If that is too much for you, don't use this mod. This also will not work with the bootloop protection module. It will disable this module.
This mod uses the SystemUI Patcher Module Template by @Jai_08 By @cool_modules on telegram
Root required
ADB Instructions.
1. Unzip ADB Mods Installer Files.zip on your PC
2. ADB debugging Enabled
3. Run TulsadiverModsInstaller.bat (Give ADB Shell Root Permissions. If missed on first opportunity, turn on in Magisk App superuser)
4. Flash the SystemUI Base First. It provides the necessary smali files and public ID's for everything to work
5. Go through the other options selecting what all mods you want. It is generally best to start at the top and work your way down.
6. Once finished with selections, run "Finish building Module" at the bottom of the menu. This will generate your mymagisk.zip module in a folder called "ozop" on your sdcard.
7. Flash the "mymagisk.zip" in Magisk App.
This mod also installs a QS and settings background overlay option under settings/Display/Device Theme. There are a few QS tile color options with an option to change the settings background to black.
This is firmware specific. If a Pixel firmware update changes either the SystemUIGoogle.apk or Framework-res.apk, this mod will need to be updated. Uninstall this module before updating your phone.
As with anything else you flash on your phone, you run the risk of a bootloop. This might not be compatible with some other modules. Flash at your own risk.

The purpose of the ADB installer is to generate for you a custom module that you can flash in Magisk App. The Zip Installer actually installs it for you on the final step and is done thru Magisk app instead of your pc.. Both will have all the mods that you have selected from the installer menu-folders.
I'm also including my Pixel Launcher mod below. Also a ADB Installer. You can change app drawer background-text color (separately for light mode and dark mode). Change the number of hot seat icons on home page (and size) as well as change the number of columns in the app drawer.
ADB and Zip Installer Instructions-Root is required
1. Flash a SystemUI Base First. It provides the necessary smali files and public ID's for everything to work.
The difference between color base and stock base :
Color Base:
You have to flash a color in order to change the color of the QS tiles (default is blue). You have a choice to leave the "OFF" QS tiles as a inverse of "ON" QS color or you can change them to Gray. You also have an option to change lockscreen colors. Color base doesn't always work nicely with light theme. Nothing horible. just some text in places that is not as bright as it needs to be.
Stock Base:
This is the one most people need to use. To change the color of the QS tiles for stock base you go to settings/display/device theme and select the color you want. The "OFF" color tiles remain gray. You have an option to change settings/notification/volume bar backgrounds to black. The background accent also works with Color Base. There is no option to change lockscreen color with Stock Base.
2. FLASH ALL THE MODS YOU WANT. ONCE YOU DONE WITH EVERYTHING, FLASH THE "COMPLETE INSTALLATION" Option. This will create a Magisk App flashable zip in a folder on your sdcard called ozop (for ADB Installer). Flash that to install your selection of mods. Flashing it for Zip Installer will install it as a module and is your final step.
Root required
ADB Instructions.
1. Unzip ADB Mods Installer Files.zip on your PC
2. Run TulsadiverModsInstaller.bat (Give ADB Shell Root Permissions. If missed on first opportunity, turn on in magisk manager, superuser)
3. ADB debugging Enabled
4. Flash the SystemUI Base First. It provides the necessary smali files and public ID's for everything to work
5. Go through the other options selecting what all mods you want. It is generally best to start at the top and work your way down.
6. Once finished with selections, run "Complete Installation" at the bottom. This will generate your mymagisk.zip module in a folder called "ozop" on your sdcard.
Root required
ZIP Instructions.
1. Unzip Zip Installer onto your internal sdcard

Pixel Launcher Mod
Start by picking a base. Bases come with, or without, a search bar and Hotseat heights The larger number of rows you pick, the lower your hotseat drops on your home screen. If your hotseat comes out too low, try again with a higher base.
Your first time of installing this, you may have to go to settings/styles and wallpapers, select grid style, and apply the custom grid at the far left.

Thanks for keeping this going
I am extremely glad to see this. I know what I'll be doing day 1 of getting my phone. I hate the forced black bars Google is placing at the top and bottom of the phones to reduce the overall screen size.
Look forward to using this. Thank you
Thank you so much! But I wasn't able to find "Navbar Height Options", is that in this release?
If anyone needs more help, here are the steps that worked for me:
1) Make sure device is rooted.
2) Enable USB debugging from Developer options.
3) Plug device into PC.
4) Device should have Android launched and sitting at your home screen.
5) On your PC, open ADB from command prompt, and call "adb kill-server" and "adb start-server".
6) Open on TulsadiverModInstallerStock.bat.
7) Type 1 and press Enter. Select an option and press Enter again. You should see a quick flash of text, which indicates failure in this case. Look at your device and you should see an "Allow USB debugging" prompt, so accept this.
8) You should get a Superuser prompt at some point here on your device. If not, go to Magisk > Superuser and enable "Shell".
9) Retry step 7 and it will work this time. The app will take some time to generate the base file. You can ignore any errors that show up here, as long as the creation process continues.
10) Follow any intermediate steps you want. These will be very quick.
11) Complete the last step. This one will take some time.
12) Go to Magisk > Modules > Install from storage, and install the module that was just created (found in the /storage/ozod folder).
13) Reboot.

No, I no longer include all the Navbar heights. Takes too long to run but I could make you a standalone mod if you know what height you want.

I guess I want it to be 1.5x what it is now. So if it's currently 48dp, I'd want 72dp.

That's perfect Thanks again.
Somewhere in this process, 2-button navigation functionality was restored on my phone. Just an added bonus!

I add that in my bases as a default.
Can someone help me with what Im doing wrong? all Im trying to install is the base and the remove navbar mod. Once I build the file and flash it, when the phone reboots I get the google screen and then black.
The only way to fix it from there is boot in safe mode disabling the magisk managers and then booting and removing the mod.
If I can just get a zip that removes the navbar, that would also be cool.

All that could. I'd try installing mine first. Then installing those others.
Will do, thank you
It appears that the Mod Maker isn't respecting the user's chosen theme color in the notification pane. No matter what I choose under "Wallpaper colors" or "Basic colors", these elements are blue:
Here's what I'm expecting it to look like, as I've selected the cream/peach color under "Basic colors":

I've tried both bases and I get the same result. I'm just choosing my base, then installing "Navbar swap", and then building the module.

If all you want is navbar swap, try flashing this.
