Looking for more info on our Bluetooth. - Google Pixel 3 XL Questions & Answers

It does not say 'bluetooth smart".
It does not say "bluetooth LE" - ( low energy ) . . .
So, should I get excited and believe this phone has a fully capable and functional 5.0 ?
.
Double speed. Four times the range. I am seeing this in an article . . .

Can't continued play music in standby mode--P3600i

Does anyone has this problem ?
How to fix it? I try to used audiomanager but it still.
Hope u can
help me
hi! i have the same problem. its kinda annoying. but i cant remember a rom this didnt happen in, so its probably supposed to be this way.
BTW i have the P3600
there r several solutions
1 - if u r using 'windows media', check the 'options' and assign a key for 'toggle screen' .. when pressed, it will turn off ur screen while ur music is still on.
2 - other programs got same capability, like 'coreplayer' or 'WinVibePro'
3 - use PsShutXP (http://ppcsoft.narod.ru/english/) .. it's free and able to turn off ur screen and let everything else continue running. this includes WiFi and bluetooth too

[Hardware Fault] Erratic GPS on the HTC One X

Following on from THIS thread, I thought it would be worthwhile to gather results to see the extent of the problem and to see if there's any pattern with regards manafacture date/place etc.
The Issue
GPS position is extremely erratic and despite showing good precision of 4-5 metres, the position moves around by up to 100s of metres, making it near useless for most applications.
Resolutions Attempted
Clear AGPS data doesn't make a difference to everyone
Use Airplane mode or Turn off Google location service. - Seems to reduce the problem but does not completely solve it.
The Survey
Install from the Play Store - GPS Status & Toolbox and My Tracks
Open Location in the phone settings - Ensure all location options are enabled
Turn On Airplane Mode
In GPS Status & Toolbox - Menu>Tools>Manage A-GPS state>Reset
Open My Tracks, wait a couple of minutes to obtain a good fix, Menu>Record Track
There are 3 views in My Track; Map, Time & Elevation. You can select these by tapping the screen and selecting the left or right arrows.
Change to time view and after 15 minutes, Menu>Stop recording & save track
Turn off Airplane mode
Repeat steps 5 to 7
Post screenshots of your track results
Include 1st 5 digits of your serial, phone colour & software version
Note: Please ensure you are outside and have a good clear sky view so that results are not skewed by environmental variables

Grey Model - Serial HT248 - Software is 1.29.401.11 - Airplane Mode On (Serial is from memory, will check this-evening)
Absolutely superb results with no movement whatsoever
Note: I opened the track after recording and turning off Airplane mode so I could see the map in the background.
Grey Model - Serial HT248 - Software is 1.29.401.11 - Airplane Mode Off (Serial is from memory, will check this-evening)
Not quite as good as with Airplane On but still very good and more than acceptable. In fact tthe only movement was in the 1st minute of recording so I may have just started a little too soon.
Grey Model - Serial SH24K - Software is 1.29.401.11 - Airplane Mode On (Serial is from memory, will check this-evening)
Definitely worse than the previous phone but just about useable for coarse navigation, although the elevation seems to come off much worse.
Grey Model - Serial SH24K - Software is 1.29.401.11 - Airplane Mode Off (Serial is from memory, will check this-evening)
The pictures speak for themselves, Absolutely horrendous and completely unusable. This phone is going back for an exchange.
Update: I've spoken with Phones4U (seller of faulty device) and they've agreed to exchange it. I'll post results for that one when it arrives in the next couple of days.
Hi guys,
Im having the same erratic behaviour? Is this hardware related or software related? Im wondering is this due to absence of signal filtering? So its plotting raw data directly
Edit:
Nope, its hardware related and i don't think signal filtering is an issue.
Hi, this is my test. I think the GPS is working properly. What would you say about?
serial 26 China
I agree. I think HTC One X has an unstable GPS .
I am not sure if it is hardware or software (i.e. OS)
I am using ATT HTC One X with updated firmware.
And this is speaking from real world usage. Which is after all what is important to us.
I used CoPilot and Google maps . Both experienced very unstable GPS signals i.e. every 30 mins there will be a drop. I had this tested twice on QEW high way, i.e. from Toronto - Niagara Falls. So it was clear sky
I had back-forth trips for 5 times on QEW. 2 out of which I used HTC-one x . the other 3 trips I used Galaxy Nexus.
For the trips using HOX, the GPS signal dropped quite often, every 30 mins or so and it takes long time to relock position, if anything at all.
While using GNex, there is no drop of GPS signal for the same route.
Any folks here proved it to be an OS issue or Hardware?
Thanks for any light on this.
Navigon works perfect for me, it always brings me to my destination.
No problem with GPS I ques, it brings me to the door.
Probably a hardware fault with your machine, return it for warrantee.
No need to open another 'yes no yes no yes no yes no' thread, only HTC can help you with the hardware fault, not XDA. :cyclops:
Some will agree with you while others don't, so simple !!!
Hello, here attached are my stats with Airplane Mode Off, Serial - SH27J and Software - 2.17.401.2, white model. What do you think, is everything ok?
Mine is pants ... Utterly disgusted with HTC I've held off til September to give HTC a chance to resolve it, bought phone ... GPS all over the place AND no bl00dy Bluetooth voice dialing !
On top of that ... What's the point of taking it back for exchange : they nearly all seem to be like it : we got 2 me and the wife and the gps is the same, I can't tell her, she'll go ape, she's just spent 2 weeks getting it how she likes it
Miffed , very miffed

Very interesting Gabrielvl ... worth knowing if the fault comes back after the warranty runs out:good:
Hallo,
I'm on a Vodafone brandet hox. I had the same GPS-fault. I updated my phone to buildnumber 2.17.161.4 yesterday. I performed a factory-reset before i started the update and after the update and now the GPS works fine. No signallost or positionhopping. It seams the bug is fixed and it is a softwareproblem not a hardwareproblem.

No Camera Warm Phone and Battery Dying

Problem as per title , I checked battery status using *#*#4636#*#* and it looks as though battery is fine,
ran the same test on my sensation and results were almost identical so Im
assuming there is nothing wrong with the battery , its about 2 years old now and I was using a leedroid rom when it started happening , I've tried a couple more and am currently using a rcmixhd rom but rom changes arent doing any good so I think it has to be the phone , with the camera not working I'm leaning towards that being the base of the problem , thou cant obviously be sure about it
Another thing is the home key works kind of intermittently ,
Opened it up and checked all the ribbons , everything seemed ok ,
not much left to try so I enabled a profile to switch cpu to minimum when screen off , lets see how it goes

Professional friends to help reach a conclusion

Apps that don't require paired phone ?

OK I am thinking of buying the watch but because my phones battery is usually dead before the afternoon , if that happens will my watch become uselles until I charge my phone ? I understand that if that happens I won't be able to receive my notifications . I want to know , when the watch is not paired with a phone will it show the right time ? Will I be able to use a timer and a stopwatch or an alarm clock ? Are there any apps that don't need a connected phone to work , like calculators , sport tracking ?
