So I was looking on our GCam thread and found it the most confusing thread I've ever encountered on XDA.
Hence, I decided to look for other sources to find a suitable version of Gcam with some recommended settings for our device.
If you are on MIUI, please add modules named MIUI, and if you are on AOSP based roms please add AOSP named modules in Magisk.

Config files are stored in the /GCam/Configs/ directory, So:
Create a folder named "GCAM" in the root of sdcard
Create a subfolder named "Configs" in GCAM folder
Download config files from the link below and copy them to configs folder.

GCAM 5.3 - Modded Version 12 [27/11/2018]
As for V 5.3 I found gdb417's version, It has manual focus settings and tele or normal lens selection.
First version can be installed as normal apk, which needs @Alexey070315 module in order to be able to switch cameras.
Last version is Version 12. If you have older versions please uninstall the previous version.

Portrait mode adds a bokeh effect to background of photos. In MIUI camera which uses both lenses this will be done using the combination of Telephoto lens and main lens. But is Gcam the bokeh effect is added to the photo using software (that's why the effect will not be added to anything rather than people, as the algorithm doesn't recognize them).
In Gcams with switchable lens option, telephoto lens can be used to take photos with 2x optical zoom.
Long press the camera switch button, the first option is for changing camera. When you turn it on it switches to tele lens.
The second option is for manual focus settings. When activated then the sub menu below it redirects to Manual focus settings.
Can i use it without Magisk? Camera2 API is enabled in build.prop

Or go to settings and turn on the first option.
There is no need to restart the app.

That's because you installed V 6.1 which does not support switching lenses. Install version 5.3 instead.
Finally a decent GCAM thread!
I was thinking of opening one myself as the existing one is way too "informative" but I am too lazy.

Try latest 5.3 (GDB17 Mod version 7) as it is the best cam for our device in my opinion.
Add the attached module in magisk and let me know how it works.

BTW, selfie cam works with night sight and normal HDR+ without hue if you select Nexus 6P as the input device on BSG settings. Great job!

But for some reason after a while Gcam Crashes whenever NightSight is opened. :/

Instructions:
1. Unblock BL and flash real-recovery (TWRP):
- Download to PC file with TWRP (for example) twrp.img.
- On your phone, enter in the fastboot mode: Turn off the phone, hold the volume up, connect the usb cable, the indicator should turn blue.
- On the PC, open a command prompt and run the command: fastboot flash recovery C:\file_path\twrp.img
2. Make wipes: data, cache, system
3. Flash archive zip with ROM.
4. Gapps and SuperSU already embedded in the archive and are selecting to install.
5. Reboot
Bugs/Issues:
Usual for all Nougat for z1c:
- Not working AndroidPay through NFC.
- Sony Camera face/smile recognition is invalid
- Can't create SIM-Contacts/Import contacts to SIM
Other:
- Sony theme function is not normal
- Standard screen-recording app sometimes causes stuck. Similar programs are OK.
- Changing time zone causes reboot
- Google account settings don't work
- Standard call recording don't work
- Looks like "OK Google" voice search does not work
- The two upper STAMINA modes do not receive notification from social networks apps, even when adding a app to an exception
- During saving changes in the white balance in the settings, it will force close, but the changes will saved until you reopen it
There were mentions about:
- Auto-switching to 4g, while "only 3g" (probably switching only visual, but not real)
- Wifi and mobile signal worse approx by 10% than on stock ROM.
- There are problems with FM radio. You can listen to either stereo at a fixed volume, or mono, but with a working controller. We need to fix the mixer_paths file.

Don't know if you saw posts on other M-ROM threads, but there was a strange issue in 2.3 and 2.3
1, where the rom wouldn't boot without SuperSU. No matter if you flashed original unmodified boot img or if you tried to flash different superuser, always bootloop, unless SuperSU modified boot img was there. Personally I don't like SuperSU, and I felt a little sketchy that it was like that...
Is SuperSU included in Aroma, and did you test without it, and confirm that it boots? Thanks

I didn't read those threads, version 2.4 is the first one, where there is support for z1c.
I confirm that we have bootloops without SuperSU or with another root manager.
Have you tried install another version of supersu?
P.S.: I will try make z3c version, but probably some things can not be done, because I do not have z3c.

This was to be expected. Double-tap is not possible at the hardware level. Apparently the author was simply too lazy to remove the item from the menu.

It would be possible to add a gesture to wake something like that and boot logo seems to large to fit in bottom of the screen
Hey! I really like this rom, I've been waiting for a rom like this. The only thing is not working(at least for me) the sim card.The phone boots up(btw for me the boot logo,not the animation, is messed up.) It boots, and then asks for the sim card pin. After I write in ,it freezes, and it restarts. (it doesn't even put me in the setup guide)Without the SIM card, the rom is working perfectly fine. Please help! I really like that rom!

In which country do you use the phone?
Hi. I installed [M-ROM] [7.1] v2.4.0 [amami] [Nougat 7.1.2] and I'm testing the third day. I really like the software, as if I got a new phone, for which I thank you very much. There are small bugs, they are not very significant, except for one: when connected to a computer via a USB cable, it does not see it. Charged, yes. Only the phone memory is visible if the phone is switched to TWRT?! Also there are no themes installed. In terms of productivity, ANTUTU is gaining 53.535?

You can change your Launcher, SMS, Desckclock, Dialer, Contacts, Calculator, Google wallpaper apps, add lens feature. Your ringtones and bootanimations too.
The system volume size is too small to add the animated wallpaper of pixel launcher so install it manually by downloading the ported app version here : Pixel 8.0.1 live wallpaper

In the full version i added the build.prop of nougat version for défaut ringtones. That s why you have a bootloop.tomorrow i will made an Open beta mode

Installed the Light version on xXx 4.7 OREO Beta 2(Official) seems to work fine. Enabled the Google DUO function and it set up OK.
Don't know anyone with DUO on their phone so cant test.
What I'm interested in is the ability to reply to calls on Lock screen and when you are using another app during an incoming call.

I tried the mod on my OP5 with OB2 but the Google dialer doesn't work well: i dont have the Pixel interface (but the old I had with my Nexus 5 in Lollipop) and when I make a call I don't see the anything (I cannot close the call).

I've done this and I had this problem. 5 calls with no possibility to answer or close the call after I used the Bluetooth headset.
i'm using Beta2 mod and i got a prob: no Vibration when a call connected

It works perfect On xXx OB2 build so you must be doing something wrong, Disable OLD phone and contact(not contact storage) set Google dialer as default and enable all permissions. search using location(type pi in search and you'll get a listing of Pizzerias near you) works, answer from lock screen works, answer call when in another app works, DUO seems to work sets up OK but I have no one to rest with

I understand, you see nothing because your phone doesn't know whitch app is the defaut app. Normaaly it's the OPincallUI, but to make it the mod delete this apk. The incallUI (interface where you see the contact phone and the time you are with him) is integrate in the google dialer. You have to make the phone as defaut

Interresting thing I try the mod with a bluetooth devices, no hard probleme, but i've seen that if you are using fingerprint scanner and you receive a call when you are connecting to a handset bluetooth ( try whith my car and a bluetooth headset ) you have to unlock the phone with your finger to see the IncallUI. Probably something to had in bluetooth permission. If someone have an idea, I will try to solved it

when a call coming and press Answer. Of course I have set up: "aslo Vibration for calls" in settings
Since the new camera style on the S9 was released, I was unable to found this Camera app working with Nougat.
Here is a "working" Camera app, grabbed from apkmirror, modified with APK Editor (lowered the API from 26 to 25).
Caution! When the phone is restarted, the app starting but crashes after!
So if anyone want to participate with his hepl, WELCOME!
First. Open the Root Explorer then go to /system/priv-app/SamsungCamera7 folder and rename the app to whatever (backup)
Then copy this SamsungCamera7oreo.apk to the folder and rename it for SamsungCamera7.apk (keep in mind there is a backup)
Then copy this camera-feature-v8.xml to the /system/cameradata folder. There is no need to do any backup of prev. files
Now you can open the Camera app from homescreen, or where ever it is.

BUGS:
-When the phone is restarted, the Camera is starting, it gets the preview but then crashes. (you can restore the Camera apk, restart, then the same procedure, just renaming the two apk files)
-Camera settings is freezing if you want to change anything

-SELFIE FOCUS doesnt have any affects.

It crashes probably because it is looking for hardware that just isn't there. Like night mode and all that.
Files would probably have to be removed in order for it to work properly and to rebuild the apk.

Just modified the xml.

-removed screen flash for selfie, only flash will work if turned on
Working:
-HDR
-Sports
Still looking for the solutions, biggest problem is the restarting phone and then crashing...
Not a big deal if night mode or stickers not working, imortant thing that you can take pictures and record videos.
I already made a post on Q&A section but no one cared about haha, take a look and see if it will help in some way. I just found a way to activate the stickers and selfie focus but both doesn't work, it's like the camera doesn't recognize the face...

Sorry guys but I'm not interested for stickers anymore.
I only want to make the style of S9 camera working.
So, when I overwrite the stock SamsungCamera7 with the newer SamsungCamera8 (ofc. renaming it to 7 and changed the API level to 25) placing the camera-feature-v8.xml into cameradata folder, after the first crash the app is begin to work.
The biggest problem is when the phone is restarted, then the app opens, showing the viewfinder, and then crashes after 5 sec.
Restoring the stock app, restarting and overwrite again the app, will be good, again...
I dont know, what happens after the reboot, is there something, that the app is installing or what is making the change...

Not working, sorry. Just for experiment.
So slow mode never will be usable, lack of higher frame rate.
There is a good video editor app on the Play Store, MOCR. You can render a video in slow mo, take a try.
Actually, Night Mode is working but you need to take a screenshot to save a picture.
Better than nothing.

I was thinking and, maybe we need the correct libs files to work properly. I don't know how to this, someone could try. Maybe talking with some J7 2016 rom developer (I already seen some roms with oreo camera in 7.1.1) we could get something. The 'saiv' file in system/app contain another files with 'id' and 'face' that could be something.
Someone could port the OreoFusion ROM of J7 2016 for our J5 2016/15

In 2016 version if you restart the system it keeps working but, the only problem i have is that it doesn't open with the phone locked pressing the button home 2x and it is fundamental for me haha

Rom contain OMC from latest s8 firmware,so if your operator/country support volte it should be enable,regarding wifi call the apk it's not present in the NfeSuperleggeraSemiDeoV1 base rom,but you can get it installing the FullStockAddonNfeSuperleggeraSemiDeo,or better, copying "UnifiedWFC" folder(and apk) in system/app giving him the right permission.
...probably in the next days i'll start uploading some add-on to enable further functions. :good:

In my case Smart View works as it should so i can't tell about it,Gallery: as i said in NfeSuperleggeraSemiDeoV1.zip i've used a Quickpic modded version (and modded camera app to open it as default) because the stock samsung gallery needs many other apks to be fully functional (therefore contradicting the Superleggera's philosophy) but if you need it you can always download it from Samsung/Play store or extract the apk from "FullStockAddonNfeSuperleggeraSemiDeo".
Obviously this is not needed for the ones who had installed "FullStockAddonNfeSuperleggeraSemiDeo".
Regarding phone model name i could change it but possibly it may break some functions.

...uhm..probably korean firmware not fully support languages as international one..but don't worry i'll check if there is a way to bypass the problem.

There is no twrp afaik for A72.
Download stock A72 image, extract AP from it and transfer to your phone. Install magisk on it and patch the AP file.
Then transfer the patched file back to your pc and flash it in odin with the rest (BL, CP...)
There is a video showing it for the A52, the procedure is the same for the A72

You mean the risk of bricking your phone? It won't turn into a stone, lol.
Search for the video "How to Root Samsung Galaxy A52 SM-A525F AUC4 Firmware" by AndroidHowTo.
Follow it carefully, the tutorial also works for A72. If you do everything like in the video, your phone shouldn't brick. And if it bricks, just flash stock rom again.
I've no success installing Magisk.
The method used by me slightly different.
Has anybody successfully rooted A72 ?
And same without full wipe (BL asready unlocked)

I have rooted this phone (otherwise I wouldn't be able to create this module).
Where are you failing? Any errors? It's super easy, once you understand how it works

I'm going another way.
Extracted boot image from ROM.
First try.
1. Make tar.
2. Flashed and checked it without patching.
3. Flashed patched and taken to emergency download mode.
4. Recovered by file from (1)
Second try:
The same with removed lz4 compression.
Result - bootloop.
May be this is correct way, but I must format data (since I can't format without custom recovery, flashing CSC may do it for me), to remove encryption, but I need the phone just now and prefer not to wipe now.
Recovered original account.
I'll try some later. At this moment I'm not interesting to reset phone.
Hope, recovery will be released soon.
I rooted it with A52 magisk but screen issue occurred - once it was off - it was off for good. But Root was enabled.
Flashed it back with stock ROM.

It's hard to release TWRP for A72 and A52, because current twrp does not support Android 11 yet. as we know A72 and A52 is bundled with Android 11. We are building TWRP for A52 but up to now not lucky, the problem, it can not boot to system.

Great to hear it's also working on the SM-A725M variant!
Some additions can be hard to notice at first.
Here is a list of things you can try:
Go into the camera settings, there you will notice a new "Review" feature
In the camera app, go into Potrait mode - live beauty and torch flash should be unlocked
Compare the module's single take with the normal one. You will notice more features and more seconds unlocked
Go into the Edge Lighting settings for notifications, there you will notice new light effects
Activate AOD and when the AOD is shown, double tap on it to make it disappear. You should notice there is a transition to the homescreen
Look in the Quick-Settings Panel (where you can activate Wifi, bluetooth, GPS..) and from there edit the setting order. There should be the "high performance mode" which you can drag onto your quick-settings
Try smart-view to a device that is capable of such (e.g. a Samsung SmartTV)
Download S-Health and hide it in Magisk. No more "Rooted device detected" message. (Without the module only hiding in magisk wouldn't be enough)
Go into the samsung voice recorder app, there should be a new interview tab
I got my phone rooted wirth Magisk, installed TWRP, and finally kakarot kernel.
Is it safe now to add this mod on top?

Yes, it's safe to install this mod no matter which kernel you have installed. But do not flash the module in TWRP. You have to flash it in magisk.

I've tried adding this feature, but it doesn't seem to be supported by our device. So it's not working.

1. On calls you won't probably hear a difference.
It's most useful for hearing music with headphones.
2. I'm sorry, I can't as I'm not an expert in this area. I've only added this feature based on some research I have done.
As far as I know the DRC is used force music under a limited loudness (about -14dB) which is causing loss in audio quality and the clearness.
Secure folder fix. just install SafetyNet Fix v1.1.1
