v30n supersu>magisk - G3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

hello i have a d855 v30n rooted with supersu
now my question is ,can i replace supersu with magisk?
unroot with supersu then flash magisk via twrp? or unroot with supersu then flash stock boot img then flash magisk via twrp.
i want my device to pass safetynet

The second option. You can not install magisk with a modified boot image.
So, either flash a completely stock image, or remove super super, flash stick boot, then flash magisk
Reboot and run magisk to pass safety net

How to root HTC one m8 running official marshmallow?

Hi!
So my HTC was rooted and all fun, but I couldn't install the OTA update due to TWRP recovery. So I unrooted and uninstalled TWRP. And then I received the official OTA update from HTC. Now my phones runs marshmallow and its smooth AF! I'm happy with it, but my QUESTION IS, How to root it again? I did try to root it and looked up for Youtube videos to figure it out, but I failed! Can someone help?
P.S: I couldn't find and videos on Youtube for rooting HTC one M8 on marshmallow.
1) Flash TWRP.
2) Flash SuperSU 2.67 BETA. It will flash superuser in systemless mode by patching the boot image. No other method as of now if you want root in system.
PS : AND REMEMBER, if TWRP shows you with an option to flash SuperSU after you're done flashing and/or later on whenever accessing your recovery, PRESS "DO NOT INSTALL" as flashing it using this option will mess up your system. Root will be present by flashing 2.67, it's just that TWRP isn't able to detect it.
Patched boot image is for "traditional" root (which modifies the system). The new "systemless" root method does not install the patched boot image.

Do I need to manually unlock the bootloader or will Odin do it automatically?

Hi,
I want to install twrp on my SM-P605. No root for now.
Currently, I am completely stock on 5.1.1. No root.
Do I need to manually unlock the bootloader using fastboot or will Odin automatically do it for me while flashing the twrp tar file?
TWRP file: twrp-3.1.1-0-lt03ltexx.img.tar
Thanks in advance
You shouldn't need to unlock the bootloader unless it's a carrier locked version (usually Verizon).
I have the P605 and just flashed TWRP via ODIN, had SuperSU on trhe sd card and flashed that to root, if you use a systemless version of SuperSU don't install it when exiting TWRP as it will ask if you want to. This may result in a bootloop.
Of course you could probably use Magisk now instead of SuperSU, just make suire to download Magisk Manager, you can find in a search, and the latest Magisk is 13.3....

Not rooting Moto g5 (cerdic)

I have flashed SuperSU and magisk both are not rooting the phone SuperSU has a problem for first time it gives root access then it says root not detected magisk does not root it directly says not rooted:crying:
Thanks in advance
For stock rom you either need an old version of magisk or try supersu installed in system mode - if you try installing either in systemless mode you will get an error as the kernel is not compatible
Or
Flash any custom rom & root with the latest magisk
If you are rooting you might as well flash a custom rom to benefit from magisk modules and magisk hide which are not compatible with stock

Mine is rooted with Magisk Delta. The procedure is the same with that of original Magisk:

2. Patch init_boot.img with Magisk Delta app
