I think yes, you need to unlock the bootloader and make a substitution of oeminfo after the full update (rebrand)

Thanks a lot for this information.
Turns out I have an JSN-AL00F phone.
What would be the effect if I try to apply a JSN-21D build onto it?
The main difference is the chinese model has 6GB RAM while the european model has 4.
Would i just lose 2 GB RAM storage or brick it (or something third)?

thanks for these files, but i have a question.
From the list provided by the OP mine looks like one of these:
1. Huawei Honor 8X ( View 10 Lite ) JSN-L21 Johnson-L21C 8.2.0.101(C432CUSTC432D1) Firmware 8.1.0 r1 EMUI8.2 05015JVY androidhost.ru.zip, or
2. Huawei Honor 8X ( View 10 Lite ) JSN-L21 Johnson-L21D 8.2.0.101(C432CUSTC432D1) Firmware 8.1.0 r1 EMUI8.2 05015KDX androidhost.ru.zip
if you notice the only difference between these two files is 0515XXX. I cannot find this bit of information anywhere on the phone or on any dev check apps i downloaded. So how do i know which file i need out of these two ?
thanks.

how to unlock bootloader, please help

Hi all,
I just came back from Chine where I buy an Honor 8X 4G+64G Build N° JSN-AL00a 8.2.0.133 (C00).
I have all chinese restrictions on it and I want to install a stock ROM,.
But I can't install a new ROM, I see on few topics and other forums it's probably because it is to recent.
So someone has a solution for that?
In advance thanks for your answer.

Hello,
I'm in the same situation, I have the Chinese version, model JSN-AL00a, anyone knows how we can update the rom to an European version?
Thanks for all in advance

The problem, I think, isn't only software because Chinese version normally don't support some frequencies (like 800 mhz band 20) and, I think, the hardware can't support EU firmware. This is my opinion "not all diamonds"

Maybe, but it is possible that we can install a European Rom without problems, of couse if the hardware does not have NFC or the band 800 we do not obtain these functions.

[Firmware] Xiaomi Redmi 8 [olive] [Auto updated daily!]

All Xiaomi custom ROMs users complain from a single problem, which is the firmware updates. As there are many devices with no one to provide the newest firmware update every single release, and developers who provide updates to devices may forget or be busy sometimes, so releases are provided later. Here comes my solution:

Frequently Asked Questions:
What is Firmware? Is it a full ROM or OTA package?
Firmware is not a ROM nor OTA Package, it's a set of low-level drivers that helps the operating system do whatever it wants to do. It includes various things like Modem, Bluetooth, Bootloader, DSP and etc.
Why should I update the Firmware?
Firmware is provided from Xiaomi directly, and there are no sources for it to let developers build and edit it on their own like custom ROMs, so if you want to keep your device up to date always update your firmware!
Do I need updating the Firmware If I'm MIUI official or custom ROM user?
No, MIUI ROMs contain the firmware-update package which I extract and provide here.
What are the supported devices?
All Snapdragon and MTK devices including China-only devices.
Check the full devices list here
How to update the firmware?
1- Download the package you want to flash. IT MUST BE NAMED WITH THE SAME CODENAME OF YOUR DEVICE.
2- Flash it using TWRP or any custom recovery. There's no need to wipe/format anything before or after the installation.
How to check the updated firmware?
Usually, the modem gets updated with newer firmware, you can check it in Settings > About > Baseband.

Thank you for sharing such useful link.
I'm still wonder why there is no custom ROM for this wonderful device.
As said previously, thanks for the link .
Moreover I have to agree . the note 9T ( model number M2007J22G) is a good phone (The battery is great , if you're not to greedy it can last at least two days), but the problem is the OS .
A chinese OS full of bloatware which always ask you to store your data on a chinese cloud , not very attractive.
Even the the clock is not the android original but a xiaomi replacement . And of course you can not deinstall all the bloatware
In short a clean custom rom, even a simple one would be very nice . Unless someone has another solution to offer ??

I have a question and would appreciate if somebody can answer it along with complete procedure if possible (if that can be done). I have a mi11x purchased in India and would want to flash a poco f3 global Rom on it. Heard they both have the same hardware and that can be done. Please provide clarity and the procedure. Thanks in advance!

Download miflashtool and flash global firmware with it. Just dont select "flash all with lock" because that will hard brick your phone and you will have to take it to a mi store to get it fixed.

You mean the poco f3 global rom needs to be flashed on the mi11x? Does it recognise it or do i have to rename anything? I am a noob coz the last time I flashed was years back. Thanks in advance!
Im not sure about the renaming part. Lets hope someone else with more knowledge replies.
