Current Bootloader version for 960U At&t and flash 960U1 - Samsung Galaxy S9 Questions & Answers

I am thinking to buy a 960U At&t and then flash 960U1. Is that still an option or the bootloaders versions might be different? I read that 960U At&t is on v2 and the unlocked U1 on v1 . Can someone update me on the current situation? I searched but I hard to know for sure what the last updates are. Thanks!

I looked into this and found that the Unlocked S9 is on G960U1OYM3ARI1 and the AT&T S9 is on G960USQS3ARI6, so with that we can see that both are on bootloader version 3 at the moment.

Awesome thanks!
Can you confirm that flashing U1 will activate all LTE bands of U1 included band 71
for example?

XAA is only the U1 firmware. It is compatable with the U version but your phone will have to be unlocked version to be used outside the US if it's carrier branded and not paid off I doubt it will work on non US carriers

If you flash the N975U1 version you'll lose WiFi calling. I flashed both Android 9 and 10 of the U1 version on my carrier locked N975U and lost the option for WiFi calling. flashed back to stock N975U firmware Android 9 and 10 and got the WiFi calling back.
Cant you just flash carrier CSC to get the features?

SM-N975U update to Android 10
I am writing this just to offer a clearer explanation to those outside the US but with carrier unlocked devices but models for the US market. Of course you won't get OTA updates since the firmware released in other countries is not compatible with unlocked US phones (firmware is based on device model and Samsung has different device models for the US and other international markets). Your best bet at an update is to download the official firmware released in the US and use it to flash your device. I did this with Note 10+. Since the device is already carrier unlocked, I'd recommend using the csc USC variant of the firmware for your specific device. In my case I used ODIN 3.14.4 to update the firmware. I downloaded the firmware via Frija. (Took a while to figure out which specific firmware worked on my device though). I think some versions of ODIN do not work with some variants of the firmware but someone else should confirm that. As usual do not be tempted to use an unofficial firmware (modified by you or anyone else) because as soon as Knox detects this firmware the e-fuse will be triggered.
My 10 is carrier locked to At&t. When I used U1 firmware I just flashed U csc and I had wifi calling advanced messaging. All that needs to be done is flash any carrier U firmware as they are all the same and all should be good to go. All firmware is the same, USC..Tmobile..Verizon. The firmware will provision to your sim. Using Odin to flash firmware from Sammobile or Frija will not trip Knox.

Wait, you were able to flash a U csc over U1 firmware with without issue?
Yep, only issue I had was software update was missing from settings. I flashed unlock firmware, then just the U csc and I had wifi calling and advance messages.

What did I do wrong?

I have my reasons so please, if you don't mind (respectfully) only focus on the issue at hand.
I have an unlocked S20 Ultra. I went to SAMMobile and downloaded the latest T-Mobile firmware -- G988U1UES1ATD1_G988U1OYM1ATD1_TMB
I used ODIN and flashed all 5 files. I rebooted and to my surprise, NOTHING. It booted back up with the same Firmware.
How do I get T-Mobile firmware on this thing?
I may have just figured it out, I think I need to flash the SM-G988U not SM-G988U1, if anyone could confirm it would be appreciated.

Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ SM-N9750

Hey guys, I am planning to change my Exynos S10+ for a the HK/Chinese Snapdragon version SM-N9750.
I wanted to ask you if this version the bootloader can be unlocked, I am only looking to unlock it to flash updates manually when they come out, not for rooting.
Looking for your answers.
Thanks

Hello,
I have a SM-N9750 (HK) and yes you can toggle the unlock bootloader option. But you don't even need to do that if you're flashing official updates.

I have absolutely no way to know if this model is compatible with your carrier. But if it's currently working fine now, then it should also work after you do the flash

I took the phone from a good price market I don't know if it is blacklisted or if the sim card unlock is temporary for fear of flashing an Android 12 update and seeing the phone locked by Samsung
