How to create complication.xml with Source=Time Galaxy Watch Designer - Samsung Galaxy Watch

Hi,
I would like to create a Second Hand with Dots per Second. For each secon one dot should be shown so that at for example 30 Seconds 30 Dots are displayed.
I though that creating an XML file would solve the problem but I cant figure out how to get it done...
My plan is/was to create 59 PNGs with dots each one DOT in it at a different postion, and then enabling each PNG at a differrent second.
Thanks for your help

I don't want that lines in Today!!!

Hi everybody,
I want to use a picture as wallpaper in my Qtek 9000..
But there is a problem: the lines between the Today plugins!!
I solved DEACTIVATING all today plugin!!
But i can't belive that i can't ERASE that damned lines!
Well: i tryed Wisbar Advanced desktop... but it slows the PPC..
I would write to Microsoft.. Because i HATE that lines..
I could use Pocket Plus.. But seems it crashes PDA..
Can you suggest me something similar.. Maybe freeware..
Please help me..
Bump and ditto, easy solution?
I too would like to know how to get rid of those stupid lines, it just makes any background image look crap.
I have managed to edit the Tomtom logo and made it smaller so it takes up less space but the annoying lines have to go.
If anyone out there knows a solution it would be greatly appriciated.
how did u edit the tomtom logo?
You could try changing the colour of the lines. Google for Tweaks2k2 and you should find a great tool you can download and use 3 times before needing to purchase it. BTW, the tool does a lot more than give you the ability to change the colour of the lines. This is a must-have app.
I can't belive that the only solution is to change the line's color!
I want to see the picture of my girlfriend WITHOUT that UGLY and STUPID lines!
No other phone in the world doesn't show a full picture!
I think that the solution is to write to Microsoft.. I can't belive it.. But there is no other solution!
They have to chang Today.. It's too old.. Based on old Pocket PC (In portrait)..
Maybe i posted in a wrong room?
on a old jornada I had I recall an app that had this as an option, so its possible, there must be a way to do it, maybe just replacing the image used for the lines with a blank one?, Im no coder or anything like that, just throwing out an idea, this is a developer forum, maybe someone could throw together a quick and dirty hack or maybe a reg hack, somebody help us out, I hate those lines too.

This issue has come up in several threads. The only way I know to "get rid of" them is to change the color to match the background by using a Theme Generator program.
I found links to the SHMetrics value in the SHELL32.EXE code of wm2003se. It is all done by COMMCTRL.DLL and te lines are called TodayLVItemLine2 and TodayLVItemLine1. But this is very undocumented. The problem is that you need to reboot every time you change something in the SHMetrics value.
See this post http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=44154
I am still fiddling around with various values of this SHMetrics value. Problem is that I realy don't know what the effect is on what GUI element.
Perhaps one day...
Cheers
Im running wisbar advance 2 and I average 2-8% cpu (overclocked to 264) with it running but I dont see a setting to remove the lines, correct me if Im wrong...
I wish wisbar had different edge/gprs icon support, edge is spotty in many areas I frequent, so I trey to dl when im in an edge supporting cell...even if it just showed the actual icon like "notifications"

to change the colour of the tomtom sign just go to paint and zoom in and change the colour to your desire. i have made mine deep red. and to change the size go into photoshop and change the image size to a smaller size.
Once you have the one you want just go to the tomtom folder that should be on the root of your device and replace the file ttoday.bmp with the one you have. You might want to back up the original ttoday.bmp file just in case.
Once replace you don't even need to soft-reset. just go into settings-today and check to see if tomtom is selected to appear on your today screen. once you tap on the tick in the corner your picture will be updated.
Il try to attach the ones i have done but this is my first time attaching an image so it might not work.
As for the crappy lines on the screen.....Is there not a way just to make the lines invisible???

Background4AllTabs, Photoshop & Pixelcounting

hi,
i wanted to create my own background-theme, and this thread was very helpful:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=3062019&postcount=54
(you need the Background4AllTabs "5c9aa261_manila" & "4a087e41_manila" from NisseDILLIGAF)
the problem was, i had a circle in the picture, and every time it was stretched or squashed, wrong aspect ratio, not fitting well. so i did a little research myself - pixelcounting fun.
conclusion:
1. crop your original-pic (maybe 800x480) to 700x480 (the real background size, 50 px from the top and 50 px from bottom)
2. create an new empty 512x512 file
3. resize your 700x480-pic to 512x460, squash squash squash (!)
4. paste it in the empty 512x512 on the left side(!) leaving an empty unused bar of 52px on the right side
5. do all steps from the link above to convert it for manila
nothing stretched or squashed anymore. full circles.
FINAL note:
this method works only for NisseDILLIGAF's *5c9aa261_manila* that came from the diamond. it works, but it also has the blackhole problem.
bbonzz's method (look below) works for http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=3068310&postcount=60 (blackhole solution).
both have no problems with nocurtains-mod. baah, too much confusion about the manila files...
Actually the background is 480x636 (image 1), because of the top curtain hole in background4alltabs.
So, to keep the aspect ratio, what you have to do is more simple:
1) cut you 480x800 (image 2) to 480x636 (image 3) keeping 52 px from bottom (bottom bar) and 112 from top (top bar+top curtain)
2) stretch to 460x512 (image 4)
3) add a 52px transparent (or whatever: black, white... It will be invisible anyway) canvas to the right (image 5)
voilĂ , you have a pic for Manila Editor, and once installed on Blackstone, Manila will resize it back to the original 480x636, without distortion and without shifting a single pixel. You can verify this by using the original 480x800 as background for the home tab (image 1): switching tabs, you'll notice the image is still the same: no movements, no distortions.
do you guys have a problem with a black hole at the top of the background in sound settings on the settings tab ?
check this!
hi bbonzz,
i tried your version and it does not match. check the attachment.
manila stretched the logo and it ended up as an egg.
the best way is to compare the original (800x480) as homescreen-background against the manila version background in the other tabs. that was the game i was playing. after several try&errors i found it. the mapping-coordinates for the manila-background in my tf3d background4alltabs is 700x480. 50px less reserved for the top-taskbar and 50px less reserved for the softbutton-bar at the bottom.
manila stretches the left space of the 512x512 texture (512x460) to 700x480 perfectly and the aspect ratio of the original is back.
by the way, the black hole is still a problem, but doesn't bother me.
maybe it depends on which 5b9aa261 are you using: on my HD (with the "corrected and not the original 5b9aa261), using the same try&error way, i have the perfect fit with the 480x636 thing, as you see in the screenshot. Later i'll try with your attachment
ok, i forgot to mention that "nocurtains" is installed on my hd. maybe thats the reason why you got 636 px instead of 700 px.
4a087e41_manila
Hi sir AlecDelorean and other member can you make me a 4a087e41_manila with my attach file, thanks advanced...
please test this
hi p_elmenzo,
do yo have the 2 files from background4alltabs already installed?
if yes, here you go. don't forget to backup you original manila files.
don't blame me if something goes wrong
and please compare your original pic as background for the homescreen against the new background in the other tabs. if anything moves, or looking stretched, send me a screenshot.
4a087e41_manila
Thank you very much AlecDelorean...
Grazie Mille AlecDelorean...
4a087e41_manila
Hi, again AlecDelorean i have a small problem when i change my tab the background image has change maybe the pixel of the image.
i know, its a problem of the image-compression/conversion in manila-editor. when i have time, i add a little grain in photoshop to trick the compression-algorithm.
4a087e41_manila
Ok Thanks a lot...
here you go again
ok, did some tests. i don't know much about the converting process of the manila editor, but it seems it reduces a lot of bandwidth of the colorspace combined with very rude compression. so by example - gradients loose a lot of quality, instead of other more colorful pictures where the difference of every neighbor pixel is higher. maybe its the 3d-texture method htc is using, they try to save as much memory as they can. an interesting thing to notice (compare your screenshots with the original pic), there is an converting-process included in tf3d by itself, but only for the homescreen, when you choose an own picture for the homescreen background - tf3d crops it, adds grain and compression.
enable your background of the homescreen back to standard, because the manila-background is the background4alltabs now and you can't see the difference anymore if you switch from homescreen-tab to the others.
4a087e41_manila
Hi, AlecDelorean do you have the original file of 4a087e41_manila and 5c9aa261_manila? thanks a lot.
haha
tired of messing around with the backgrounds?
you need only one. 4a087e41_manila is a new image file for background4alltabs, 5c9aa261_manila is a script that was changed.
Hey AlecDelorean, can you do this for me as well.. Thanks!
I have just one question...
HOW do i get rid of the black curtain on top of the screen??
please please please say me how!!!
In nearest future we wont use this method. A real background for all pages done.

There is no 'easy' answer to that question.
For some highlight elements of Windows Mobile (like the phone dialer or call history, and other system screens) the highlight colour is determined by .tsk files... and registry entries.
Go to HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Color and change the values to whatever colour you want. This effects Windows Mobile system colours (including highlights).
You might also need to look at HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Today and change the colour values for whatever task file you selected to use. (HTC Black.tsk, for example).
The green highlight you see in TF3D is controlled by numerous _manila files.
The clock highlight on the Home Page, for example, is made up of 3 _manila files (1 left edge, 1 right edge, 1 middle tiled image). Another 3 _manila files are used for the call history and calendar highlight. Another 3 _manila files control the higlight on other tabs like Settings, or All Program etc.
The keyboard menu highlight, and the Communication Page highlight are all controlled by simple .png images (as these are accessed outside of TF3D.)
So to change the colour of ALL of the highlights on your phone... you have to change many things. Or install a complete theme made by somebody else (and hope they changed ALL of the images... which isn't always the case).

If you search the forum, you'll probably find 1 or 2 programs that will let you change the wallpaper with a few clicks... but that function is usually built into a program that does many other things too... and you did say that you didn't really want the theme of your phone changed!
However... editing the _manila file isn't that complicated anyway.... you create your image, import it into the manila file, copy that file to your phone... done!
Using a program (as you asked)... you would create your image, copy it to your phone, launch an app on your phone, click change picture, select your image... done.
Those 2 scenarios aren't that different or really any quicker! The only real advantage to using a program... is that you could change the background image while away from your computer. However if you want to keep 20 different wallpapers on your phone that you can select between... simply import those 20 images into 20 of the same _manila file and store them on your phone like "sports_car_4a087e41_manila" & "hot_babe_4a087e41_manila"... then when you want to change your wallpaper to one of them... simply rename whichever file to "4a087e41_manila" and copy it your your Windows directory... done!

Try this:

Works fine for me.

start up - notes

as most of you know personal info contains also a note and you can set up that whenever you turn on your device this will show up
but to access this field you have to go quite far (toooo many clicks away)
my question is - is there any simple way to access and edit this note? can you make shorcut to standard HTC Home or assing it to any button when pressed longer?
thx
I cannot have my identification info and/or notes displayed on my home screen with TF3D. How do you do that?
I'd love to have some program / tweak to really edit the TF3D. Been waiting for more than a year now, Clock is too big, I can see too few appointsments and I'd like to see notes. Just like you had on that old Nokia.
EDIT: Nevermind, it functions as a sort of screensaver I found out now. Haven't found a quicker way to access the notes though.
EDIT2: The notes screen seems to be cut off after 6 lines. Any way to have it fill the full screen? Now I can only add 5 lines of notes (sixth line is already displayed with the bottom mm cut off) and I have about 10 lines white at the bottom.
I can see 6 lines, that is really strange, based on the space of the whole display and its capabilites ..
never the less I could use some shortcut ...

[Boot Animation] My Avatar Boot Animation

I finally made my own Boot animation.
The original idea was made by others (BIOS boot up) I never did figure out where I got my first one (the Galaxy Nexus one)
I typed in every single letter in every single image of this boot anim except the grey letters at the bottom I added Volume Down and left it as it was.
I have an avatar live wallpaper. I got ahold of the author and he told me how to get the images out of it. I used those for the second portion.
I found some zebra wallpaper and recolored and scaled it for the background.
DEEP respect to people who make these things. its an insane amount of work having to do each and every frame individually. I think I have 9-10 hours into this total ! not counting photoshop research to make life easier with some semi automation with recorded shortcuts. and I HAD A TEMPLATE to work from !!
took me forever to figure out how to automate a copy paste to overlay the stripes under the text without it MOVING the "pasted" content (centering) during the paste operation (that is why each frame has that white square at the bottom
I am thinking of making another with an android icon instead of the avatar movie sequence where I "avatarize" the android robot
maybe
its 16mb so I am hosting it and linking here. does anyone know how to reduce png image size without killing quality?
Enjoy let me know what you think.
I am also attaching my SII Bios one with no avatar theming. the second half the android matrix thing I did not make I left that in from the template I used to make this one (the galaxy nexus bios boot anim) that is not my work.
the first half is all mine.
Here is the Avatarized one
http://www.mylittlemouse.com/other/bootanimation(Avatar).zip
Here is a Video of it booting up. The sound file is a Mixture and Edit of the Old School computer disk spin up I found on a youtube video from here on the forums (on another SII bios anim) that I clipped parts out of and merged with the windows boot sound.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IZri21-NvdQ
if anyone knows who made that original (original to me at least) Google Nexus Bios boot anime let me know so I can credit them as the source for the idea for this.
