I am looking for pixel experience android pie ROM for Moto G5s. I have seen there is pixel experience 9.0 available for G5 plus & G5s plus. I wish this ROM could be available for G5s too.

I don't think it will work, I'm pretty sure camera, sensors and fingerprint are different.

Miui 8 is marshmallow - the sources are available but seeing as this device comes with stock nougat & has no marshmallow sources I don't see the point
Miui 9 is nougat but seeing as we are now on oreo I doubt anyone will bother & seeing as they haven't released the source code I doubt you will see it on this device unless someone can adapt it from another device but from my point of view it's not worth it as it's already outdated

yes,miui 9 source code is not available but cant we port from same specs device like redmi 3s/prime?it already have both nougat and miui 9...and,also,i think,that instead porting tons of almost same oreo roms would be nice if you port one miui 9..because miui is something different
There is a rom for Moto G5 plus you can search in xda and you will be able to get . But there is no Miui rom for Moto G5s plus Sanders.

It is not same as redmi 3s prime but it is same as MI A1 as per hardware comparison.
Only difference is camera, screen size front flash as per my finding.

I'd like to think there will be Android 9, since the Moto Z Play is getting Andoid 8... If Motorola sticks with the same pattern it would only make sense for the Moto Z2 Play to get Android 9.
Android 9 already boots in this device thanks to treble development, but most of the features aren't available yet. Once LineageOS 15.1 gets official, Android 9.0 will start being developed for this device.
No need for a custom ROM

I currently test with this tutorial and I work well with this android P port of the Pixel XL and it goes great, the only defect is that the Moto MOD do not go and the flashlight out there is all right.

when I wrote that was because a developer managed to start a rom 9.0 with few bugs (same errors as the roms 8.1) other developers are working to start a rom based with the new resources of the stock 8.1 (on YouTube you can see a part of their work mixed with the vendor of kalil in a video of lineage16 for cedric but it is not the final work nor will it be) if you want to know more you have to enter the cedric groups in telegram either brazil, english or spanish that are where you can find to the developers and the work that is being done for this device a little abandoned translated with google translator
I know that the android pie update is not coming for sprint z2 force. But is there any way I can install the 9.0 update for Verizon on my sprint z2 force without any problems. Or any good 9.0 ROM for z2 force. I really wanted the 9.0 update but motorolla ****ed up. Any type of help is appreciated

After scattering through a tonne of content on the internet and flashing multiple ROMs on my moto z2 play, I found AOSP extended GSI of android PIE and I am using it right now as my daily driver. It works 9/10 Anyone can daily drive it as long as you are not concerned about passing SafetyNet. However, while I was digging for some ROM that would officially support my z2 play(albus), I noticed one thing that Motorola Moto G5 Plus has a lot of support amongst custom roms. I may be missing some points cause I haven't been into flashing roms since some years now and I recently came back to the whole scene but is there a way that I can run a Custom rom (like Evolution X) on my albus using the build meant for Motorola Moto G5 Plus? Both of these phones have extremely similar specs and dimensions. z2 play was launched on 2017 June and Motorola Moto G5 Plus was launched on 2017 Feb.

you can flash ANY GSI into the Z2 Play as long as they met these requirements:
1. Rom arch is arm64
2. Rom partition scheme is aonly
Most custom roms do not specify which partition scheme uses, in this post https://forum.xda-developers.com/z2...droid-q-gsi-moto-z2-play-albus-t4066945/page2 the user @saibharath1319 mentions he succesfully installed Pixel Experience Plus Android 10 GSI with KVT 2.4 "without any major issues besides ambient display not working.

What he is asking and what your telling mate?? even i was searching for the same question moto g5 plus has tremendous support and both the devices are totally identical ? can someone give it a try?
Bro do you even read? The short answer is no, you can't simply flash sanders ROMs or any other, to albus. Unless they are GSI's.
If you don't have any idea what I'm talking about. Then google it.
If you are coming from Stock Pie Update make sure you use the modem file (non-HLOS.bin) from Stock Oreo because the modem from Stock Pie has audio issues with custom ROMs.
