This is a LineageOS 16 ROM for the Exynos3470 based Samsung Galaxy S5 mini (G800F/G800M/G800Y)
DO NOT USE IT FOR G800H OR YOU WILL BRICK YOUR DEVICE
LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 9.0 (Pie), which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.
LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.
All the source code for LineageOS is available in the LineageOS Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to LineageOS, please visit out Gerrit Code Review. You can also view the Changelog for a full list of changes & features.

Cool and gongrats :good:, thanks for your work and effort and thread is subscribed. .
Working fine here on my end, even that I am aware it is in "alpha" stage, I know.

Thank you for you BEST WORK!)))

Thanks for your work, developers! I want to know if there's still the storage problem that's on Oreo (for example, if it's possible to make Whatsapp backups) before installing it. Have a nice day!

Wow! Thanks for your awesome work, will test it when the camera is stable enough

Hmm,interesting. It was certainly working. I have connected to my girlfriends phone,my laptop and my Bluetooth enabled soundbar without issue in the past. However, there was a commit that broke Bluetooth a few days ago,but I believed it to be fixed. I can still turn it on and off without issue, but I did not test on the latest build. I will test it out later and try to see whats up. Thanks for the log!

hello you could tell me why I can not duplicate screen in an s5 900f since it connects but at the moment it goes it can be a bug of the rom thanks

No, this ROM doesn't support Treble

Wifi hotspot isn't working. Disabling after enabling.

I know this is a very* subjective question, so apologies in advance.
First off, massive thanks to @spookcity138 for this rom and all his previous S5 mini iterations (plus a whole heap of direct PM assistance too :good: )
I'd like to upgrade my GFs phone from LOS 14.1 to this ine, and I'm wondering how well this initial alpha release is working as a daily driver?
I can see from the opening page enough features are operational, but can anyone give feedback on battery life (when compared to LOS 14.1 ROMs), stability etc.
I know "try it and find out" is the easy answer, but would like to jump with eyes open / informed where possible as this is GFs phone.
Many thanks!!

@spookcity138, marvellous piece of work !!!, more stable than 15.1, may be a bit slower, i directly flash from 15.1 to 16 with Gapps, just standard wipe and rolls ..
Just the Fingerprint Enrollment that doesn't work , as the Fingerprint itself works fine.
the sdcard access problems seems to be away indeed.

This rom is very smooth and surprisingly very stable
Some bugs i've noticed:
- music album covers doesn't display
- as mentioned bt doesn't work
- in some apps, such as Snapchat, the recording of videos lags, taking pictures works well
- pixel launcher crashes constantly
everything else working fine for me, thank you for your amazing work

If I were you I would probably stick with LOS 14.1 as it is the most stable custom ROM for our device I believe. For me I have been using this ROM for a few weeks now and everything I have used and generally need works for me,but this differs from person to person based on their needs. Plus, I will try my best to fix and update things, but my time is going to be lacking over the coming weeks I think.

Thanks for the info. I assumed that FP didn't work as I couldn't get it to enroll. Thanks for letting me know that it indeed does work and its just the enrollment.

I’ll have to (constructively) disagree there. I have set up six or seven S5 mini devices for friends and family; two initially hat RR 5.8.x, the rest LOS 14.1. Most of them encountered camera problems, many had random reboots. All of those problems went away only when I tried your XenonHD Android 8.1 build, which has been rock solid (as well as fast and smooth) for everyone I migrated to it.

an another issue i've noticed now
- sending photos, videos and audio doesn't work in telegram x
keep great work!

Hello Spookcity ,
The FP works just as bad as others previous LOS versions , in my case it it's now impossible to register a new finger, the previous registred works normally .....
Another thing that doesn't works is the wireless hotspot , auto-closed as fast as open

Noticed Bugs
G'day spookcity138
I've noticed that
- Wifi is not connecting if Wifi net is hidden
- Root (using Magisk 17.3) is not working
- as in Oreo, WhatsApp cannot backuo chats
But so far, yery stable!
Good work, mate

Thanks for the feedback. I will try to look into the WiFI issue if I am able. I previously rooted with Magisk 17.0 without problem. So perhaps it is either the Magisk version you are using or something in the LOS sources has changed since then. I will look into the whatsapp issue. I Know someone posted a log of this at some point. I will take a look. That will be a bit down the road though as I would like to get the core features (nfc, bluetooth, hotspot, etc) working first.

REMINDER
If you're having issues and want to submit a report (logcat) please make sure you are reporting from the stock kernel, not a modified kernel. Modified kernels can break or fix, even improve things. It depends. I can't get a full clue of the issue when you're not running the original kernel.

Until a solution to the Setup Wizard crash is found yes.
By the way, I'm not 100% sure it's a ROM problem.
Would you mind try using these GApps https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/software/gapps-dynamic-gapps-t3487192 to see if the SW still crashes?

Supported Devices
SM-G920F: Only permanently and completely supported device, because we don't own another one
Any other SM-G92[0/5]-device: May be supported, but I cant guarantee it. Please don't keep asking why we don't support your model, it's that simple: We don't own it, so how can we support it? Right, we can't. You can help us to fix issues, but we need a full set of logcats default ([adb] logcat -d) and radio ([adb] logcat -d -b radio)+ the kernel-log (/dev/kmsg). You may use different apps, but without those three files, we can't do much...
SM-G928x: Not supported, will probably never be
Possible Problems
Problem: Problems with modem like dropping/slow/slowly connecting data connections, missed calls/SMS
Solution: Try to update your device's baseband/modem to the latest available version. If there are still problems, report this bug to the developers

I'm currently building a multitarget-version which will support both Flat and Edge, will be uploaded in some minutes
Can i install this rom for SM-G925L?
Hey @lukasb06 are you moving on now from Android 7.1, or will builds still continue? It looks like Samsung will never release Android O for the S6 so will a lack of bootloader/modem not hurt Android 8.0?
Great work :highfive:

No, N bootloader/modem work fine with Android O. I had to make some changes to the telephony-libraries, but it works fine, except the bugs Android has itself (like not showing the current operator although it has the name, it just doesn't show it)
And of course we'll continue publishing builds for N, at least once a month for the Monthly Security Updates
There is an error on AOSP keyboard, as soon as you hit the numbers buttton it crashes... BTW great work, eagerly waiting for a 8.0 daily driver

Haha, wow.
Keeping the S6 alive. I love it! I'll flash this sometime this weekend.
The brightness of the screen does not change.
No ability to turn on the screen after turning it off. Only reset helps.
No vibration.
The back button and menu does not work.
After dialing the number, the AOSP hangs.

What's working?
Please remember that Oreo is still a very new release of Android and may contain bugs which are probably going to be fixed in some weeks or even days by the LineageOS-team or even Google itself
Telephony (Calls, SMS, Mobile Data)
WiFi
Bluetooth
NFC
Fingerprint
Camera
Bugs and Problems...
System UI crashes on calls, permission-queries and sometimes on invalid logins
Stock-Camera is unusable because it is missing a SD-Card
Some applications cannot be installed (Unsure if this is caused by Android or Play Store)
...and how to report them

[EOL][ALPHA][ROM][8.1.0_r14]Candy8.1 [athene][18 Feb 2018]

This is Candy8. Built straight from source with commits from a variety of different Sources/ROMS. We wanted to give the users a fun, fully customizable ROM. We aim to add more features as this project progresses.
Code:
#include <disclaimer.h>
using xdarules std;
/*
* Your warranty was void as soon as you unlocked your phone.
*
* I am not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
* thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please
* do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM
* before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if
* you point the finger at me for messing up your device, I will laugh at you.
*/
FEATURES:
.
The ROM is in Alpha stage as of now. The ROM will flash only by using my twrp build or @silesh.nair 's TWRP. Many things are broken with a lot of sepolicy denials. The following things are broken as of now:
1. Video Recorder
2. Flashlight
3. SE Linux
Be patient as the project progresses. Bug reporting should be done in the following fashions:

Merge 05 May 18 AOSP Security Patch android_8.1.0_r26
Merge a lot of things from candy gerrit. gerrit.bbqdroid.org
What's broken:
Camera + Video Recorder (3rd Party Apps working)
SE Linux
sdcardfs (Didn't have time to merge stuff from AOSP)
perfd
Additional Notes:
This build needs a clean flash. Minimum CPU Frequencies maybe messed up, set according to your usage and preference using EX Kernel Manager or Kernel Auditor. @lCrD512 will help me with the ramdisk part. Remember, I am not a battery oriented person; I will rather expect my phone to perform a bit better and not stutter or give frame drops in regular usage. TurboCharge and camera are the only good things left on the phone in 2018, both of which are on the verge of dying.
This is why I am not adding any useless governors or i/o schedulers, neither I am changing clock speeds or dtsi regulator voltages too much. Users have full freedom to modify the kernel settings and fellow developers can modify the source if need be.
If you use GApps, flash MindTheGApps for now. OpenGApps will give Baseband related issues.

VoLTE here and VoLTE over there... It's a damn alpha stage ROM and you expect VoLTE to work? Think that the dev is avoiding cancer for you, having high frequency signals (LTE could be) near your brain can cause cancer, y'know?
PD: RIL is not even working tho

The OnePlus cam apk seems to be working...
Update: 13 Dec 2017
Changelog:
Fix Camera partially
Quick Setting Toggle for Flashlight now works. (Reboot needed)
Added some low CPU Frequencies.
Merged all the ROM side changes. Check https://gerrit.bbqdroid.org/#/q/status:merged upto 12 Dec 2017.
NOTE:
~The stock camera app now kinda works but gives poor performance so I will recommend to use Footej Camera after you reboot atleast once.
~Please use some Kernel Manager App to set the minimum value of Big Cluster frequency a bit lower than the one which is shipping with the ROM. My current setup involves minimum big cluster frequency as 249 MHz and the minimum amount of big cluster cores online to 0, along with ZRAM disabled and Swappiness set to 0. @lCrD512 's trick :good:
~People have reported that Magisk is causing UI Sluggishness on Oreo. What I did is flash Magisk 14.5 Beta and after booting up, reboot again. Uptil now, everything seems okay.

Yes bro, u can use whatever you want! Magisk magisk is due to the fact it is systemless and provides mods are well!
This ROM is awesome!! Camera is pretty fine, I used oneplus camera and everything worked like charm except the panorama. HDR, video, pro mode, selfie enhance, time lapse, slowmotion, flash, everything works perfectly without any lag. Focus is good, minutely sluggish (you won't notice most of the time). Couldn't make panorama to work.
RIL works
Battery is pretty decent as well
No fc
Bluetooth, audio all fine
Volte works and so does quick charging (shoutout!)
For a beta build, its pretty awesome.
Oneplus camera which I used can be downloaded Here
Hope to see tonnes of customisations when you will polish the official releases...
One request (I'm pretty sure it won't happen though)
Can you plz make a flashable kernel along with other files to make FP to sleep work instead of FP to home..?
I know FP2S will break fp2H and fp2w that's why I'm not asking to add it in ROM but if you could make a flashable zip to enable fp2s. Just a request.

About LineageOS
LineageOS is a free and open-source operating system for set-top boxes, smartphones and tablet computers, based on the Android mobile platform. It is the successor to the custom ROM CyanogenMod, from which it was forked in December 2016 when Cyanogen Inc. announced it was discontinuing development and shut down the infrastructure behind the project. Since Cyanogen Inc. retained the rights to the Cyanogen name, the project rebranded its fork as LineageOS.
LineageOS was officially launched on December 24, 2016, with the source code available on GitHub. Since that time, LineageOS development builds now cover more than 185 phone models with over 1.9 million active installs, having doubled its user base in the month February–March 2017 And if you would like to contribute to LineageOS, please visit out Gerrit Code Review.

in this rom thread, also do not post bug reports for known issues or bug reports without proper
a) Logcat
b) proc/last_kmsg (or proc/kmsg)
c) data/tombstones
d) dmesg
Install gapps right after installing the rom itself don't try to boot to system before that if you want to use gapps (Or wipe data before installing them)
Make sure gapps you decide to use support android 12L/12.1/Are targetting api level 32
Also make sure you are using latest official TWRP before installing rom older versions do not have proper android 12 support
If you want to use Magisk use latest Magisk Beta (25.0) or Magisk 24.1, there is bug in 24.3 that was fixed after its release that prevents zygisk from working on some devices with 3.18 kernel

All good expect some LOS functions, but that is due to LOS.

Such incidentals as brightness control sliding across status bar. No idea, i don't need most of it at all.
Pretty great work. The fast charging seems to be busted though. Took 30 minutes to charge from 50% to 60%.

I had the same Problem after the first reboot. Just flash twrp again using heimdall, then everything works fine again

Or long press "back" to kill an app, long press "home" to go back to previous app. Nothing bad though
There seems to be an issue with build.prop. I increased volume steps there, restarted and nothing has changed. The same method is working in LineageOS 18.1.
Upgrade was smooth from 18.1 with Nikgapps R and Action Launcher.
Flashed latest TWRP - 3.6.latest;
Wiped system, cache, Dalvik but not data;
Installed zips lineageos 19, Nikgapps S full, Magisk 23, all in a row, reboot system took about as long as expected.
All apps data, wi-fi passwords app PINs, hotspot and launcher settings kept, although permissions for all apps seem to be reset to default, but Magisk SU permitted apps kept.
Nice and smooth phone calls are fine but I hate, HATE that wi-fi and mobile internet are in one quick settings now requiring and extra step to get wi-fi networks list.
Haven't tested music with The Good Headphones yet but will
Thanks to @Ivan_Meier as always
PS any f2fs support for cache or system and exFAT for ext_sdcard?

I cannot confirm this.
Fast charge started at 50%, after 26 minutes the battery is at 87%.
In 26 minutes 37% charge I would call very fast!
