FM radio app in combination firmware G960U - Samsung Galaxy S9 Questions & Answers

I flashed a combination file for both G960U and G965U s9 and S9plus. I saw a radio FM app which has record feature. So I searched it up, and found the apk here, https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/samsu...samsung-radio/samsung-radio-3-0-31-6-release/... I downloaded it and tried to install but always saying unable to install. How to install this plz? Check attached picture. Thanks.

Solution: NextRadio
I think Samsung intends the use of NextRadio, which can be found on the Play Store. NextRadio supports the hardware FM radio built into the S9. It also supports streaming over your wireless or data network. I decided to revoke NextRadio's permissions to use the network, in what I hope is a way to prevent yet another vendor collecting personal information about how I use my phone.
You'll see that NextRadio is actually using your built-in hardware by turning on airplane-mode, and connecting a wired headset to the 3.5MM jack.

[Q] FM Radio CM7.1, Scan stations?

I just rooted and flashed CM7.1. It's working perfectly and is blazing fast.
I need to take a few trips to Canada in the next couple weeks. Normally for my radio needs I would use streaming radio (car FM radio is broken in my 99 Accord, aux works fine), but since I want to avoid data roaming charges that's not an option.
I tested out the FM Radio and it works just fine. Strong signal and everything. The only problem is I can't scan for stations. I tried Spirit FM but the scan function doesn't seem to work.
Anyone got a solution for me?
I use TuneIn Radio so I can listen to NPR on the way to work. I just realized you can browse stations by country too! May want to check it out.

This doesn't use FM it uses data, so it's not what he's looking for.

FM chip

Doe`s anyone know if the Galaxy Note 3 T Mobile device has the FM radio chip in it or not. I have searched T Mobile and have googled
but nothing positive or negative whether it has it not. I want to use the next radio app but the app say`s it can`t access my FM radio receiver.
Can anyone help please.
Thankyou.
The Note 3 will not support Next Radio due to the lack of a built-in configurable FM tuner.
most stations have their own app or an app that has their station in it. i know ive seen some local radio stations here that has their own app
Yes the phone has an FM chip but it's not active. We've looked into and worked on installing the correct BCM driver for the Broadcom chip, but so far there is no way to get it active.

lg g4 radio

Does anyone know how to fix the radio on the us991 g4? It didn't come with the original radio app so I downloaded it from somewhere else and when I plug in my headphone for the radio, no audio plays? Its running Android 6.0
AFAIK, your model doesn't support fm radio. so no point downloading the app.
You can check the list of supported devices by NextRadio app to see if your phone has a built-in FM radio.

PSA: Just figured out that NextRadio (FM Radio) works on my AT&T Note 4.

I thought I knew every function of my Note 4 by now. But, read an article on CNet that mentioned the NextRadio Free Live FM Radio app. I downloaded it from the Play Store & it installed just fine (even though AT&T Note 4 isn't on the devices list). Typed in my zip code (I didn't want to allow location) and it worked! Like a charm.
So, 3 years after buying my Note 4, I'm listening to live FM Radio for the first time today. But, after using the app for a few minutes and checking the settings of a station once it's playing, I think it's using streaming audio, not the FM radio chip. This is based on the NextRadio FAQ page here: http://nextradioapp.com/faq/

Sorry to burst your bubble, but... I don't think you are actually getting FM radio...
NextRadio now has a streaming mode for incompatible devices. I turned off my Wifi, and turned on "Stream over WIFI only" and poof... FM radio went away.
This is from their FAQ:
NextRadio now has a Streaming Mode which allows you to listen on devices that aren't FM-enabled, listen to stations outside your local area, and send the audio over Bluetooth. Like other streaming apps, Streaming Mode will use more data and deplete your battery more quickly.
Streaming Mode is currently only available in the United States.
That's what I eventually figured out (from 2nd paragraph of my post): "But, after using the app for a few minutes and checking the settings of a station once it's playing, I think it's using streaming audio, not the FM radio chip. This is based on the NextRadio FAQ page..."

FM Radio App.

I live in the UK and here the TCL 10 Pro has had the FM Radio app removed. I wondered if anyone had a copy of the radio .apk from another region that I could try to install on my device please?
I use the radio quite a bit, and was disappointed to see that it wasn't included here in the UK. I use it to listen to my own transmitter that I have for blasting my own music to my 1950's valve (tube) radios on both FM and AM.

I have the T799b version. Used APK Export from Google Play to extract the system app. If you need another system app let me know.
Radio v3.1948.05.1093.0
MediaFire is a simple to use free service that lets you put all your photos, documents, music, and video in a single place so you can access them anywhere and share them everywhere.

Sadly didn't work on mine... TCL from Portugal sadly also have no radio app neither Smart Key settings
Sorry for the delay in replying, I'm not using the TCL 10 daily at the minute.
I installed the app, it shows a lovely Radio icon, but it instantly closes when I open it.
Perhaps the FM radio hardware is missing in the T799H?
Many thanks @JayTM, I appreciate you taking the time to extract and upload the app.
Same problem here on spain. Android 10 v2.0.4D.I.W, last update before android 11.
The box says it's model T799H-2BLCWE12, and the phone T799H_EEA.
I tried to use the apk that you shared, and didn't work too. Everywhere says that this phone has radio fm, even in spanish websites.
Someone knows how to check if the fm tuner exists in this model?
Someone with a T799H has the fm app in android 10?
