Hi
Can anyone tell me basic about root and unlocking LG Optimus G E973?
How to unlock without unlocked code?
Is the word "unlock" and "unlock bootloader" the same?
In order to unlock the phone for free, do we have to root the phone?

Nope, network unlock can only be achieved by unlock code for this device, and that is completely different from bootloader unlock.
-Root grants you permission control over root directory and allow for apps to have deeper integration with the android system for tweaks and such. Although this may pose a security threat for your device.
-bootloader unlock allows you to flash unsigned ROMs and kernels to your device and also poses a security threat to your device.
-network unlock allows you to use the GSM and/or CDMA network of your device with another carrier different from its original carrier unless your device is factory unlocked.
If all you want is to use your phone with another provider I suggest you stop looking for ways to unlock without code because its not possible and search for a trusted code unlocking service.

P2 OEM Unlock in dev settings

Hi, recently I switched from Nexus 5 to Lenovo P2 but the phone I got has bloatware from T-Mobile and they don't seem to hurry with releasing Nougat to my phone
I noticed that in dev setting there's an option to OEM unlock the device, does it unlock the bootloader or just permits me to unlock it manually?
If so, after unlocking all I'll need to do will be just to flash TWRP and that's it?

This option only allows you to unlock it, it doesn't actually unlocks the bootloader
I asked a bootloader unlocking from my device. If after the 14 days period I don't unlock it with fastboot, do you think my warranty is still valid ?
I am thinking oft buying this Phone but rooting is very important to me. What I have found out so far is that you have to unlock your bootloader to install TWRP. Your warranty will officially be void.
Now my question: has sb send his phone to repair in Germany? Does Lenovo really check their database for your phone? And what about this 14 days wait?
Thanks in advance

I need to unlock my bootloader! (Nova 3i INE-lx2r)

I need my bootloader unlocked so I can install openkirin. But I can't find a bootloader code, huawei ain't supplying'em anymore and DC doesn't support that particular phone
If anybody knows the way please tell me
Edit: phone model is INE-lx2r instead of INE-lx2
Same situation. From what I understand, they are no longer providing these codes so we have to purchase one?
me 2 needed to unlock bootloader plz who have answer tell me

Root method

Apparently we can unlock bootloader on Nokia 5.1 Plus by turning off and on Developer options. The OEM unlocking option will be greyed out again after turned on though.
I wonder if there is any root method for this device. Thank you.
Enabling OEM unlocking doesn't unlocks your phone . It's just a option that should be enabled when unlocking bootloader and that's why it is given in developer options and not on top in settings menu.

There is no permanent root solution yet , however you can get a temporary root (it will unroot at next reboot) But you need to have your phone on Feb-20 SP or earlier build or otherwise it won't work because Google fixed in it March SP.

How to root SM-G981V

I am trying to root my phone but I can't get passed enabling the oem lock because it does show up in my developer settings. Is there a way I can root it without enabling that to open the bootloader. I'm very new at this so if anyone can help much appreciated.

If it's the U.S. variant, long story short is no.
Samsung has been hard locking bootloaders on U.S. variants for years now and you need to unlock bootloader (OEM Unlock) to flash custom binaries (Magisk/root).
It used to be that there was no way of unlocking bootloaders until recently, but it's a paid service
If you are really interested about unlocking your bootloader and you really want and/or need root, you can check this thread out: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/sampwnd-usa-model-bl-unlock-info-u-u1-w.4201689/
