I have not system/omc. I have system/app/omc.

I am on the A530W and just use ACR using the VOICE_COMMUNICATION for the audio source and call recording works as well.

That. I've saved this in the system/csc. After, I restarted my phone. I was waiting for about 10 minutes and nothing.
I pressed the UP, Down and Power buttons together for a few seconds, the phone was restarted and now everything works fine.

When someone calls you, button for "record" not working, at least for me. When you call, button for "record" working.
I don't know where saved recorded call.
I have not saved files in "system/omc", but to "system/csc".
When you call, you will see this:

I can turn on recording only when I call, but I can not turn on recording when someone calls me. I can not find where is saved the recorded material.

Pie was not out then for these devices.

SM-A530F, Android Pie 9, rooted. I followed the path (/system/omc/my carrier/). I rebooted my phone and now everything works right.
I have cscfeture.xml and cscfeature_network.xml of 22.11.2018. I replaced this file, restarted phone and it is it.

Native call recording A8 2018 (Pie andriod)
Hello everyone, works perfectly on A8 with firmware of 05/19/2019.
the folder where to insert the 2 files mentioned in the first post, are in system, omc, ITV.
Itv because it is broken up with Italian firmware. only the last folder will be replaced based on your firmware.

Unable to record audio after volume mod

Hi to all.
I'm almost new here ans i have to ask you a question.
I installed aroma volume mod on my z1c and everything is good with volume, but i can't record audio anymore. Every app i try to use, even Sony miniapp doesn't allow me to record, but i can send audio records on whatsapp and the audio in videos is ok.
What could be the problem and What can i do to solve it?
Thank you in advice

you can edit not working file with adding the lines I mentioned in mod thread, copy it to etc folder and set permissions to rw-r-r.
or you can open zip with mod, edit file with settings you wish to have (or all for android 4.4, if you have time ), put it back to zip and just install.

Have to find the apk and the correct libs from the old rom and then put them into your currently installed rom. Not sure if will work, but I am also interested.
What firmware version did you have before?
Edit 1: Simply pushing the apk to system/app with 644 does not work, app does not show up in appdrawer.
Edit 2: Pushed to priv-app also, now showed up in drawer and stereo recording works.
You need root for this and a filemanager with root rights, copy the apk to system/app and system/priv-app and set permissions to 644.
i dont remember last version, i do these but now when i open voice recorder i just see a black page with their button,i record with it but after finishing it closed and i found that still it record in mono.
what should i do????

[APP/MOD][OOS]Google Dialer/Phone with all functionality. (needs TWRP)

OkYou can install an old patched version, or if you are like me, and loved having that auto spam notification and spam reporting options as well as location based search results like in the newest versions, then you can do this:
You need to have TWRP and flash this:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=3907762&d=1476815806 (Google Dialer Framework Support)
and then use APK mirror to download and install the newest official Google Phone APK.
http://www.apkmirror.com/apk/google-inc/google-phone/
Then freeze/disable the default Dialer app, and set the Google one as default.
This can be done by going to "app info" for default OnePlus phone app and disabling, then by going to Google Phone "app info" and clicking on Phone App, then on the "Configure apps screen, changing the default Phone App to the only option you should have (after disabling the default one) which is the Google "Phone". Then make sure your new Phone app has all it's permissions.
Known Issue:
Can not answer calls from notification panel. You have to press the panel and go to the phone app to swipe up or down to accept or reject call.
All the info that I posted and more can be found here:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/apps-games/app-google-dialer-t3557412
Credit to user iMarbot
Edit:
I would recommend using this other method, as it truly works 100%.
Google Dialer and Contacts
Works! Nice to have the Google dialer back... Local search and swipe up to answer. Hooray

After switching from my Nexus 6p, I can't tell you how many times I hung up on people with the default OnePlus App. I had to switch ASAP.
FYI you will lose service until you set the new phone app with all permissions and restart.. freaked me out for a moment lol

What? This has nothing to do with root.
You can't install any of this with just root. The framework has to be flashed with TWRP or the official Google Phone app will not allow you to install it. With or without root.
I am using Magisk and I'm rooted, and this works with all that and you still pass Safety net test.

That's nice to know, but I don't think my way is particularly harder or anything. Also, mine should auto update when Google pushes an update to the app through the play store, while the Magisk version will not.
I don't use call recording, so I don't really care about that.
I will add your way to the original post a little later, but I do prefer my way, because I prefer to get my updates directly from Google or APKMirror instead of hoping and waiting for an XDA member to update them for me.

Ah well, the Magisk version has both the app and the framework but you can actually install the updates through apkmirror too since the framework is there. It's just that it will stop working if you disable or remove the module from magisk.

First you need to be rooted. after that simply install "solid explorer" from playstore, and browse to source path, copy this source file, browse to destination and paste that.
i am not sure if this is still complex. no need to use adb.

So, my question is: are you sure that your calls are actually recorded and if yes, where are records saved? Thanks.
