IMEI # question

Does the P3XL have 2 IMEI numbers? The country I'm traveling to requires registration of imei numbers at the airport and I use both a physical sim and the esim in my phone. How do I check and see both IMEI numbers? Many thanks!

No it doesn't. Go to settings, system, about phone. Your IMEI will show up there.

Thanks. Figured out it only has 1 IMEI number since it's not dual sim dual standby.

lol actually several countries require imei registration if you plan to use a local sim card. Turkey, Chile, Pakistan to name a few...
Just to add to above, as noted, they only have 1 IMEI number.
If you need to find the EID for eSIM, it has to be active on the phone. Only other method is to check the box your phone came in.

SM-N975F Dual SIM?

Hi all,
Is it possible to make the SM-N975F support dual sim?
SM-N9975F by default is dual sim.

u can put 2sim / or 1sim and 1 sdcard
Sent from my SM-N975F using Tapatalk
My SM-N975F sim card drawer does not have a room for 2 sims only one sim and a SD card. I tried to put the second sim in the SD card slot but there is no way to fit it. Also there isn't 2 IMEIs on the phone box or in the phone settings.

yeah there are 2 versions, if you picked up from a network chances are it is a single SIM variant, if you purchased unlocked through the likes of Samsung it will have "DS" on the end of the model number meaning it is a dual SIM variant.
it's confusing but it's just the way it works unfortunately as it cuts cost on network provided phones.
basically if you want dual SIM your best bet is to purchased direct from Samsung or a third party who sells the dual SIM version, but a network provider is likely to give the single SIM to stop people using 2 networks and to cut the cost of a second modem.
So there is no way to mod or activate the dual sim in the SM-N975F (without DS) model? Is it hardware limitation?
If I remember correctly the single sim Note 9 did have a mod for this.

There is no 2nd SIM to activate on your phone, it is physically lacking the hardware to support a 2nd SIM:
SM-N975F : Single SIM
SM-N975FD or SM-N975F D/S : Dual SIM
If you want to eliminate all doubt as to whether your phone indeed does have a physical 2nd SIM, the only other possibility that I can think of is if you buy a Dual-SIM Card Tray & flash a (compatible?) Dual SIM firmware, but, doing so at your own risk.
As others have stated, the carrier branded versions are Single SIM & in all likelihood, are not capable of being converted to a Dual-SIM model.
The firmware for N975F and N975FD is the same, there is no specific FW for dual SIM.

Thx for clarifying that firmware for both is same. My phone specs shows that model is SM-N975F but it is dual sim and it does not show anywhere that it is SM-N975F/DS or SD.
Why it is like that. Is there something wrong or just becoz they both have same firmware so it just shows N975F.
Nothing wrong, I think only the box showed that it was DS.
Mine also N975F/DS, but does not show on outside phone nor in phone info in settings.
It does show 2 IMEI-nrs both on outside/back of phone as in phone info, that's the giveaway!
Hi you can convert a single sim note 10+ to dual sim, it does have the hardware as does the s10+ I have done it to both. Once you have activated and tricked system into thinking its a factory dual sim device. you have to write another imei to the second sim other it will be 000000000+ but But thats easy to do using any number of commercial tools i used chimera tool

IMEI numbers are assigned to a specific logic card serial number, anybody assigning an imei

Is this simlocked to one specific network that isn't the one you want to use it on, or is it blacklisted ie. someone sold you the device but they ddin't pay their bill with the carrier, etc. ?

Yup that person didnt pay bill
Was wondering if there is a solution to this..
1) Will the carrier lock both sims?
2) Is it possible to bypass this lock?

Hmm... let's check your IMEI and find out if it's a ban on your IMEI - you're asking me about both sims, do you have a dual-sim phone? Go here https://www.imeipro.info/ put in your IMEI for the phone - (not the iMSI for the sim) Have you already tried the phone with a sim from a different carrier than the one you believe it's blacklisted with? This should be able to tell us if there's a blanket ban on your IMEI or if it was just something carrier specfiic.

Status is clean.. All other carriers are blocked as well
Seems like its locked based on the imei nationwide
Greetings. Just an FYI for all of you. Since the changing of the IMEI is prohibited in many countries for obvious reasons, XDA does not condone this discussion as well.
Best advice would be to contact the carrier, pay off the phone, and call it a day.

Well, if it is IMEI-blocked by T-mobile because it was stolen or lost, the information may be shared with your Vietnamese carrier, and it will fail to work in Vietnam.
Before you buy a used phone, make sure it has a clean IMEI.

You may have several options if the IMEI block is the reason.
Ask T-Mobile to recover your phone and remove the IMEI block. Only the original owner who is a T-Mobile subscriber can do it.
Use it as a WiFi-only device.
Sell it for parts/repair.
Buy a new phone and make sure it has a clean IMEI and is SIM unlocked.

Well, it is locked by the cell towers. There is nothing you can do if that device was stollen and locked. This is probably the only example when tower lock it justified. There is practically nothing you can do to spoof your IMEI (not saying that is a crime), and no cell tower will let you in with this IMEI.

I think it's better to return the phone to the seller, asking for a refund. The IMEI record clearly shows that it is a lost or stolen phone.

Question Does the T-Mobile version have dual-sim capabilities ?

Can anyone confirm that they have the le2127 model and was able to get dual sim working even after flashing it to the global ROM ?
I just went through all of the steps and converted my le2127 t-mobile version of the 9 pro, only to find out that there is no dual sim functionality. All of the other older OP phones have it.
I do see the pins in there for 2 sim cards but I can't get it to work.

Also, when I check the IMEI's using *#06# only one imei is shown. At one point during the updates, to android 12 especially, two empty sim slots did show up but, both had the same IMEI #. Upgraded to 13 and now only one IMEI. I do see pins in there for dual sims so this is a very confusing phone out of the 4 Oneplus phones I own.
So I need to get this figured out before my return window closes.

Ok no worries
You've more than likely thought of the below, however if you haven't
Possible approaches to find both IMEI numbers
Does the tmo variant actually have 2 imei numbers?
Did you backup any of your phone before modifying?
What info did you have to submit to tmo, so that you could unlock the bootloader.
The vendor you bought it from, if official may have a record of your imei numbers
Have you used Sims on both slots of the phone? If so your Telco will have a record of the IMEI against the call.
There maybe a simplified approach, I'm sure someone else may also be able to help
Did you get it with any paperwork?
Was there an imei sticker on the back of the phone?

I guess to sum it up now with those questions. I do remember that when I applied for the unlock.bin I had to provide the IMEI number(s). And I remember there only being one through *#06#. Plus the sticker that was on the back, which I have, states only one IMEI number.
On top of that. Last night I did some more flashing. And I flashed the EU version to see what would happen. Well two IMEI numbers showed up. BUT, thwy were the exact same IMEI number.
So I think it's safe to say, and from reading other articles last night that, either the second slot(if really there), is blocked by the software or the extra set of pins inside are just not connected to the main board.
Unfortunately, I have given up on the idea of trying to get dual sim out of the TMO variant. I had read on the Oneplus forums last night of people complaining about this exact problem. And their conclusions are basically what I just said. They have given any hope of this phone having any chance of dual sim activity.
Apparently when TMO first advertised the phone they advertised it as dual sim. But the next day their ad was changed to say that it was only a single sim phone. And that seems t be the case here.
People have also said that anything made after the 8T, will not have dual sim anymore on Oneplus phones. esim/nano sim is apparently the future
But thanks everybody for all your help. It was fun but ... you have to cut your losses at some point.
And too bad for Oneplus. This is really going to backfire on them.

Update: Duh ... I just looked at the back of the phone for the first time while packing it up, lol !! And there is an IMEI printed on the back cover. Only ONE IMEI ! It was being hidden behind the sticker that was on it. And I never bothered to look.
It's good that you've got to the bottom of it!!
Would you consider looking at the other models NA, Global and Eur checking which bands you need.
If you then find the one that suits, you can always give that a go and have 2 Sims.

No I didn't. I went through reading about it and thought the risks outweighed the chances of it being successful. So I returned the phone unfortunately. But those phones only have one IMEI # and what this method does is use the same IMEI and just adds a zero or two at the end. It's not a long term solution.
