Best Tempered Glass Protector Pixel 3 XL? - Google Pixel 3 XL Accessories

Can people recommend good tempered glass protectors that are case friendly, cover the most screen real estate, and have a good look/feel?
All I can find are these $5-8 ones that have tons of great reviews but in reality they are pretty bad.
Or I see $30 ones with very middling reviews.
There has got to be a good one out there?

Looking for cheap yet "good" screen protector

I'm looking for cheap yet good quality no name screen protector, don't want to spend 20$+ for high end one when I can order 10 cheap ones and change them when the go "bad"

Screen Protector
you can order in Amazone, cost 1$ for 5 stick
it's very good protector for your screen.
it's cheap and good
I've been using these for a year. Haven't noticed significant difference between this and Zagg's one.

yeah i find the matte ones seem to last longer against scratches etc and also against fingerprints but they do take abit of the beauty away from the screen

Yeah, matte screen protectors are great for avoiding fingerprints, however have a sort of finish that makes the screen less amazing in my opinion.
I personally tend to buy the 10 packs on ebay for $1, see if they work (apply a few times until a good coverage), and if they're no good I try something else. I've never really tried those awesome ones before though so idk if they're any good.
Apparently the SGP Glas series are good, but are pretty expensive and hard to apply perfectly first time (only really get 1 try).
screen protectors
I haven't used a screen protector since I got my phone in July last year, and I haven't had a scratch yet. Part of that is probably just me being careful, but a large part is the glass. I don't think it needs a protector. My girlfriend also has an sII but uses a protector, and her screen looks dull and battered. They need replacing quite often just so it looks pretty like it should.
Try your best to ignore the cheap ones, the slightly expensive ones are better. If they're from China, ignore that.
Matte ones are good as you don't get much scratches on it and it's fingerprint smooth, however, the matte finish doesn't look so good one some phones.
The clear ones are also good but only if you get the good quality ones. I've a few and they're scratch resistant, cost me £5 (Around $7USD) for a pack of three.

Looking for a slick "Like Glass" screen protector.

So I've been looking at the screen protector threads around here, and while people have been pointing out good deals, and bad ones, I've yet to see anyone really comment about the "Feel" of their screen protector.
Long story short: I HATE the Zagg I have on my Evo 3D. Playing Fruit Ninja and the likes on it is impossible unless I want to coat my screen in butter so it's more slick. A few rounds and I feel like I'm going to burn my fingertips off! Hate, hate, hate. That's all I feel for Zagg. Anyway, I'm planning on leaving the phone naked (No case) with just the screen protector on, and I'm wondering if anyone knows of a good screen protector that will fit the bill?
I had a Sprint branded screen protector for my original Evo 4G, and it was perfect! It was as smooth as the glass, fit well, and I could hardly see it unless I looked at an angle, so maybe they'll have one at my sprint store on release day. (Albeit at a 50000% markup. Ew...) But I'd rather not spend 40$ on a piece of plastic. Lol.
Anyone got any suggestions?

One is Flex and one is Ultra Crystal. Not sure of the difference between them, other than price.
Edit, good info on both of them in this thread. I think I might try the Flex.

Have had a Spigen on my iPhone 4 for over a year and it still feels great. Will be getting one for my S3 as well.
If like glass is what you want i'm thinking you're gonna have to go with a dry application protector
Thanks for the replies everyone. Gonna go with the Ultra Crystal, sounds like what I want. Reviews on the Flex make it sound like the Zagg, with the wet application and the loss of smoothness on the protector.
Now I'm going to have a pile of accessories to go with my phone that I don't even have yet.

Haha, join the club! I have 2 full body XtremeGuard protectors, 3 XtremeGuard screen protectors, a Fosmon TPU case, Otterbox Commuter case on order and a TriboScreen screen protector on order. exactly i had abunch of skinomis during their .95 sale on hox and it was horrible. the flex is exactly the same (wet, flexible application. rainbow effects galore.)
Sgp flex hd is fantastic but....
I just ordered the sgp flex hd as a back up. I love spigen products. With that said, You can't get any closer to a "glass feel" then a tempered glass screen protector. I've only found one online and just ordered it. The link is....
well I can't post the link until I have 10 posts. Anyways it's called the spectre for android and you can find it through a site called xgearlive

Spigen has one for the iPhone. Hoping they release one for the S3 as well. Is that xgearlive a good company to deal with? Would these types of screen protectors work with the C-Pen?

Spigen/SGP said that they won't be making the Glas t glass screen protector for the galaxy s3 because of its curved screen. A shame, but understandable.
Makes me wonder how xgearlive are going to manufacture a glass screen protector with a decent fit.
It won't be able to go to the edge, not as it's curved.
hopefully xgearlive will offer a discount for s3 users, the gnexus has USD 5 off.

ismooth screen protector and case

I will get my N5 within a week. I am planning to buy iSmooth screen protector for it. Has anyone used it? I want to know your opinion before buying it. Here is the link:
oops. It seems that I can't post a link till my 10th post. (amazon -> search for ismooth nexus 5)
Surprised that not many know about ismooth. Please suggest if there are any better screen protectors.
I am also planning to buy a case(thinking of ballistic)
Thanks,

I think they're great. Only just caught onto these a couple of months ago but have now purchased them for all of my and my family's devices. I feel like I"ve used everything under the sun with inconsistent results from product to product. iSmooth seems to have the right balance for me in terms of coverage, smoothness, fingerprints etc. They are not fingerprint free like the matte ones but they are easy to put on and easy to wipe the fingerprints off. They also don't taint the quality screen display which is a biggie for me. They're also reasonably priced. Let me know if there's anything specific you'd like to know.
Installed iSmooth I my N5,looks and feels great .Got it on there first shot,no bubbles. They even have a link with a how to video if needed. I am rocking a Diztronic Matte case, fits perfect and does not hinder iSmooth protector. Both of those products I saw on this site and were highly recommended.

Thank you ritzxda. I just wanted to know 2 things :
1)is it prone to scratches? I used a cheap screen protector for my n4. After a week or so, there were many scratches on it. I had to replace it.
2)The package says it includes 3 screen guards. Are all the 3 good ones? I am asking this because I read in amazon that the additional ones were not of great quality.

Sorry just saw this. No they won't scratch like the cheap unbranded ones from eBay. Those get the job done temporarily but they will scratch. Having said that, I applied a cheap 50cent one on a cousins phone and it barely has scratches even after 3 months...he keeps his phone in a pouch at all times though.

Good screen protectors? Matte, Clear and Tempered glass

There are a ton of screen protectors for the nexus 5, many range from 0.01 cents to $30, but not all of them are good. I want to know what are the best, and this thread will help a lot with the same problem. Requirements are obviously to be crystal clear. Other requirements are. / are used for "or".
-Perfect cutouts/ Screen doesn't affect sensors or camera quality.
- Screen quality/color is not affected. No rainbow effect.
-Provides protection against scratches and dust.
-Doesn't attract fingerprints/wipes off easily.
-Identical texture to screen/ feels nice
Personally I'm looking for a screen protector that is Matte, feels nice, doesn't affect screen itself, provides protection and is clear.

AFAIK, matte and clear don't come together. You have to choose either one.

Having used 10-20 different types of screen protectors on several devices, I'd agree on this. However, once the oleophobic coating rubs off, it's just another yucky fingerprint magnet.
I love the anti glare/fingerprint properties of matte screen protectors but unfortunately these reduce screen clarity. It ruins the beautiful display for me.
Haven't quite found something somewhat in between yet. The antiglare apple screen protectors for the iPhone 5s seem to be pretty good though...maintains the screen clarity pretty well.
The search for the perfect screen protector continues!
Personally, I'm a fan of Tech Armor's anti-glare/fingerprint screen protectors. I have one on my N7 2012, and it's fantastic. It does cut down on the clarity somewhat, but after a little while, you get used to it; and besides, it's nothing too drastic. Realistically, you're just not going to get the kind of anti-glare/fingerprint protection you want from anything even slightly "clear," at least not for some time.
I'd compare the feeling of them to a Kindle reader's screen. They're tough as nails, too. The first one on my N7 protected it from one or two gouges that would have surely cracked the screen, leaving deep indentations in the protector, but nary a scuff on the glass itself. The marks on the protector didn't even affect feel or usability that much.
I've already purchased a pack of 3 for my soon-to-be Red N5. It'll run you about $6 USD on Amazon. Lifetime warranty, as with most of the screen protectors from reputable companies. I'd link, but I can't. Sorry. :silly:

A perfect screen protector is made of sapphire and has a hardness scale of 10H we dont have that yet
Tempered glass runs for about 8$ on eBay and Amazon its the best bang for your buck.
Its better to see and feel glass rather than putting some cheap peace of thin plastic on it.
And besides glass is harder and thicker than thin plastic for example Sand in Hawaii very though my friend has a Zagg invisible shield it was a windy day on the beach and her phone fell in the sand it was enough to make a hole in the plastic protector and make a small scratch mark on the screen.
Overall glass is better since its harder and ticker for objects such as rocks and or sand to get through it
Matte..
tempered glass
Lol those above replies really aren't helpful. It all depends on what you're willing to sacrifice. I.e smudges/clarity etc. And what you're wanting the protector for because at the end of the day, the naked glass is smooth and strong. I prefer less fingerprints so lean more towards matte.

I agree, and while initial impressions on a screen protector are great, I think the most valuable information are from people who been using them for several weeks or month. Spending $40 on a tempered glass screen protector will feel amazing at first but if it lasts two weeks before chipping or causing bubbles then it's not a worthwhile investment.
I've always used SGP screen protectors, they're the best out of all the others I've tried. I wouldn't recommend any matte protector also, they kill the clarity of the screen. Glass protectors would probably give the best feeling but I don't think I'd like the extra thickness.

Nillkin is pretty amazing considering the price. It'd be nice to have a reaaaaaally slim one like Spigen's but I just can't justify the pricetag.
Anker Xtreme scratch defender SPs are awesome, they give you 3 of those for 5 bucks. They are easy to install, well aligned and looks nice

Been using nilkin tempered glass since Christmas and it's flawless. Has one tiny web at the bottom but it was my fault during installation. No bubbles, chips, peeling or anything. $15 on Amazon. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I'm a Nilkin glass convert and wouldn't go with anything significantly different. The glass feels great, is "clear as glass," holds up very well, and, at $11 or so delivered, is cheap.
Matte is, in my opinion, just marketing cover for poor optical characteristics of the material. Why would you pay for a high-resolution screen, then effectively smear it with Vaseline?

It all depends on what one is after though. A cheap matte screen protector can be nasty yes. However, some are pretty decent these days. You will be sacrificing some screen clarity but you won't have a grubby looking phone with grease/fingerprints/smudges all over your screen. It's all about what one is after...pros and cons to everything. No offence to the posters that just post things like "Nilkin Glass" but I really think you should give the pros and cons as this is beneficial for readers. Simply stating a product does not help anyone really. I never understand why people buy chunky cases for their new phones but obviously they are willing to sacrifice the weight/look for the protection they get. Everyone is unique Hence we have communities like this where people can share and help. My 3 cents.

I use the Nillkin, but you can't really go wrong with either case. A majority of people seem to like both of these cases when it comes to screen quality. I can't say much about the cutouts though, since some people think it's too long. Consider the Orzly too!

you have 1 I can review?
I bought both screen protectors at once, since I was expecting my OPO in the mail and didn't know which SP would arrive in time. But since my Nillkin does have rounded edges and is cut correctly, I won't have any reason to try the Godosmith unless or until the Nillkin shatters.
I'd love to know why some Nillkin SPs have sharp corners and others do not. My assumption would be that the sharp ones are counterfeit. There's a code on the packaging of official Nillkin products that you can check.
I've checked codes for Nillkin cases in the past and they've always proved authentic. I didn't bother with the Nillkin SP because it fit correctly and the edges were rounded.
Nillkin rocks.
Im not sure about the Nillkin but I purchased and installed the Godosmith on my OnePlus, looks and feels great, no complaints here.
