Need help with advanced lte - Verizon Samsung Galaxy Note 8 Questions & Answers

I have two note 8 Verizon phones on page plus in my home. One has nougat 7.1.1 and other is oreo 8.0, the one with nougat works flawless. The note 8 with oreo has no advanced lte features or options in menu to turn them on. The oreo phone has N950USQS5CRI4 firmware. I realize I cant flash backwards to nougat. Both phones have same APN settings. Is there a way to get advance lte features on with the oreo phone by flashing a different firmware. I see there was an updated firmware (N950USQS5CRJ3) released after the one I have will this have advanced lte features enabled or will flashing to oreo 8.1 fix this issue. I'm willing to take any advice or help.
THANKS

Looking for best custom Roms for T-mobile Note 3

I installed Android 7.1.1 on Note 3. I believe through Resurrection Remix. Won't let me connect to my cellular data, just making calls or texts. Can't access internet through data plan.
What are the best Custom Roms I can install through TWRP 3.0, please include links and any help. It would be greatly appreciated.
Did you check the APN settings to ensure they are correct? Phone is running the latest bootloader and modem?
Checked APN and it's correct. Don't know latest bootloader and modem
You can compare the installed modem and bootloader to the latest stock ROM at sammobile.com.
If you install something like Resurrection Remix, you won't be able to make use of the Note features which, you know, are the whole point of getting a Note phone. I would suggest getting a Note 7 or Note 5 port as they still let you customize and have newer Android versions. Sure, the latest Android you could get is only 6.0.1, but you still get the great Note features the Note series are known for.
Can i be on a marshmallow or nougat custom rom while on the jellybean bootloader? Or do i have to upgrade?

Hi Team, What custom rom for Android 7.x can i use for a T-Mobile Galaxy Note 3 and not lose WiFi calling? The Note features are less important to me than WiFi calling. Only VZ services works well in my house. Thanks

When it comes to Android 7.x you are very limited to using either Resurrection Remix or LineageOS. Everything else is based off of either S-series ports or Note ports (Android 6.x.x).
I've never tried either of those myself but you can look up their forums and see if anyone has Wi-Fi issues with them.

Nougat for the P2

When is Android 7 scheduled for UK P2s??
Anybodies guess !!! Just manually install it - had it for months on mine, no major issues at all !
Ive been on android 7 Nougat since i bought my p2 in the 3 shop 4 months ago by using the guide on this forum.
I also installed the nougat update manually on my Three UK bought P2.
I was disappointed as VOLTE (or super voice) did not work nor were there any options in the menus to enable it. Even though Three advertised it as super voice ready.
I installed nougat and did a factory reset and now VOLTE works.
It's very stable too and I find it better than MM.

Is that nougat ROM an official one? or custom?
If official are you getting regular OTA updates?
Yes sorry. It's the official one. Couldn't be bothered rooting this phone and wanted to use Android Pay.
I got a small update after installing Nougat but there have been no further updates for this phone yet.
But it will still be able to receive OTA updates when they are released.

Which firmware to downgrade to for performance/usability

At this point I have given up on Android Q on this device and I'm having problems to decide which firmware version to downgrade to. I don't need latest bells and whistles, I like my phone plain and simple with no lags/freezes and minimal amount of bugs. I was overall happy sitting on latest Pie update, but Im not sure if performance was better on latest Oreo firmware since it has been such a long time.
What are your takes on this? Should I go for latest Pie or Oreo firmware?

If I would go back to 9 (pie) I would try to find the version which still had the dt2w function. There's 2 different display version of mi a2 lite and because of that they figured it's easier just to remove the function and push out 1 update that fits both version rather than working on 2 separate update just for 1 phone model.

I'm pretty sure my phone has a screen without dt2w function anyway. If dt2w function is on by default, then it should work here on android Q as well unless they disabled it universally? Because here I am, tapping on the screen and its not waking up and never has before either
Thanks for your quick answer. So I should be looking at flashing V10.0.20.0, it seems to be the last Pie firmware looking from here.

Question Att fold 4 Android 13

Is there a way or someone try other firmware on the SM-936U.....
For been updated to Android 13 UI 5...
Yeah, switch to TMOB. ATT delivers updates last.
I believe you can flash the TMOB version from Sammy, but on mine it forced me to do a factory reset - which is a huge PITA.
And beware that ATT does not publish their firmware, so you cannot go back.
