Someone try since I'm at work!
Lucky! I still have to wait for AT&T to get their act together
Anyone make an FTF yet? I just flashed to the GB Rogers version but didn't get any updates available when I checked.

I wouldn't bother with the rogers firmware due to all the bloatware. I installed the Rogers GB firmware following the rooting process and used the International version instead and everything works fine!

I don't want to use it but some people might want an FTF of the stock firmware for backup purposes.

True, but we'll probably get the lte symbol back with the Rogers. You can always De-bloat the fw.

Simple answer is no it wornt work if you try and flash with ODIN as the modems are different in size and wont flash properly. you can always download the rooted version and use a different modem.I am using the AT&T Skyrom with the VALJ1 modem and I havent had any issues yet.

Why is the right door always locked?

Unfortunately this is a Rogers modem and doesn't work with Skynote Air with Devils Kernal. Once flashed gets bootloop at start screen. The quest continues.

What does your current modem/baseband show? I'm running ezkat and flashed the rogers modem no problem. I'm with Koodo in Canada i317m
If you download the latest Stock ROM from sammobile you should be able to extract the modem and flash it using odin. source
I have the stock koodo rom and was able to do the above succesfully to test just now.

Perhaps it's time for a new rom? Rogers, Telus, Bell, Fido, etc... all use the exact same modem. I finally have all my roms and mods all linked in my sig. I also flashed the MK5 just right now. Everything seems to be working fine on my end.
Edit: So this morning when I started to make a few phone calls my phone would just reboot itself and be stuck in a bootloop. Flashed the BMA3 modem and everything is back to norm.

The Canadian stock 4.4.2 firmware came out today. I'd recommend you Odin the stock 4.4.2 Telus firmware then rooting it again. This way you get the lastest Telus Modem and 4.4.2 booloader. Latest Telus Modem is in my sig. You can try it. Works great for me on eZKAT 2.0 rom.

Yes, most Canadian carriers (Telus, Bell, and Rogers/Fido) uses the same modem. Not sure about Wind and Mobilicity though.

Cool. Make a few phone calls and see your phone re-boots or not. Maybe do a speedtest.
Edit: I've updated my sig more specifically to avoid carrier confusion.

OK.. I flashed the zip in your sig. Was a bit better, but still having reception issues. Does the zip include firmware update? If not do you think flashing this would help? I'm a bit out of practice so please gimmi the steps to update my bootloader. And is there a advantage to doing this?

Makes me really angry on Samsung cause this is only commonly known for Indian firmware, sorry for that inconvenience.
I have removed the rom and will re-upload a version without that.
New version - fix sending SMS to Samsung - is up.
Thanks

No, cause kitkat bootloaders are mainly the same. I suggest to try a (patched) modem instead.
Where are you from and is your firmware for your region?

Yesterday i did exactly that and the WiFi worked flawlessly for 14 hours, i was assuming the problem was solved then WiFi turned off and greyed out on me again, very frustrating. Today i downloaded your five custom roms and will give them all a try.
I wonder if this is not a hardware problem, what do you think?

Baseband is modem and not BL, bootloader version you may see using Phone Info app from play store.
Sorry if this sounds like a dumb question, but I'm on the MJ5 bootloader and MI6 modem. What are the benefits or, better yet, are there any noticeable changes I'd see by upgrading to the latest bootloader (OD4) and modem (OA1)? My phone is running CM12.1 and I'm in Costa Rica.
