Review of Anker SoundCore Life 2 Headphones - General Accessories

Like many, I’ve been wanting to hop onto the noise-cancelling headphone bandwagon since models like the Bose QuietComfort 35 and Sony 1000XM series came out. However, also like many, I was not interested in dropping $350 bucks for this experience. I only fly or commute on mass transit a few times a year. These Anker Soundcore Life 2 headphones are a great compromise for those looking to spend less than one-third of the price of the top-tier models and still have a great experience.
Sound quality: Very good. These will not touch wired, high-impedance headphones for lossless music files, but for noise-cancelling, bluetooth headphones for listening to Spotify, the sound quality is super solid. I enjoy the BassUp tech for a deeper and fuller sound. You do get a built in mic too, which is great for making calls.
Noise cancelling: Having used the aforementioned Bose QC and Sony 1000XM series before, these are not on that level with noise cancelling. If those are a “10” these are more like a “7-8”. Those high-end models can wipe out virtually ALL background noise while the Soundcore Life 2 does more of a controlled reduction. Still very good for the price and to block out the outside world.
Battery Life: Fantastic. 30 hours on wireless with up to 60 if you connect with the provided cable. And if you turn off noise cancelling while wired, you can go forever. Would’ve like to have seen a Type C connection (it’s microUSB still) for charging, but this is a pretty small complaint.
Build quality: Top notch. Nothing seems cheap or breakable. The headphones fold down for travel in the provided case. The case has some firmness to it too, so your headphones won’t get crushed. Great for stashing in your backpack or messenger bag. The ear pads are nicely padded and I can easily go over an hour before any kind of “ear compression” discomfort takes hold.
The holiday pack is a great bonus since you get a PowerCore 5000 powerbank for on-the-go charging. Other included accessories include the top end PowerLine+ microUSB cable, an aux cable, and an airplane adapter. Great value here!

Have you tried using these with a PC while gaming? I'm curious whether or not the microphone actually works over wired/BT while gaming.

Review of Anker Bluetooth stereo headset w/lots of pics!!!

This is a review of Anker Bluetooth Stereo headset for music streaming and hands free calling. http://www.amazon.com/Anker®-Bluetooth-Headset-HandsFree-Calling/dp/B00ENF5CZQ/
Yes, believe it or not, people still use these single piece on-ear wireless headsets when driving or outside where they still have to be aware of surrounding. That is a key with this type of headsets where your one ear is open to keep you aware of surrounding environment. Typically these feature better sound quality and more functionality in comparison to older models. So let's take a closer look at new addition to Anker's catalog.
Arrived in their signature environmentally friendly plastic-free package, you get a wireless headset with 2 sets of high quality adjustable ear-hooks, 3 pairs of silicone eartips in different sizes, and usb charging cable. This wireless headset is very light, at only 12g, and dimensions of approximately 55mm x 17mm x12mm and additional 15mm for earpiece part. The ear-hook rotates to adjust the angle by 360deg and can also be flipped 180deg for left/right ear use. It has a very sleek professional look with minimum controls, multifunction call/power button facing outside and volume up/down on the bottom edge. The top edge has micro-usb charging port.. Also, I was glad that Anker logo was printed inside, makes the outside of this headset to look clean. Furthermore, inside there was multi-color led indicator and microphone.
Pair up took seconds, and after initial connection a voice guidance provided a confirmation. Although I only tried using this headset inside where everything sounded crystal clearer up to 40ft away from my phone, according to the spec this headset is equipped with CVC (clear voice capture) echo and noise cancellation technology to help you in a noisy environment. As a bonus, beside just a phone connection, it was also connected to phone media (thanks to A2DP and AVRCP protocol support), and I was able to stream music from my Note 2 and remotely control the volume of the audio on my phone. Its a great feature since switching between playing music and picking up the call is seamless, and on a full battery charge you get up to 5hr of talk or audio playback.
Overall, its a great little wireless headset that packs a lot of features, has a nice solid build, and a very professional look. Considering a price of under $20 shipped and 18-month warranty with lifetime tech support - this is one great value as well.
Here are the pictures.

iClever® IC-BTS02 Portable Bluetooth 4.0 Speaker Review

Bluetooth speaker is one of these accessories that you can find absolutely useless, but you will love it once you use it for the first time. It's a perfect "boom-box" for small parties or a nice gadget that makes your house cleaning less boring. Today I put my hands on one of the best cheap Bluetooth speaker available on the market – the iClever IC-BTS02. It's not a professional review, as I don't have the required hardware to measure the output or frequency. This "review" is more an opinion.
iClever IC-BTS02 is not a big device. The device can be easily hidden in the pocket as it's dimensions are 64.5x64.5x70.1mm. It weights only 261g, so it's not the heaviest speaker. In the box you will find a speaker and the AUX cable. There is no charger available, but you can use every microUSB charger available for smartphones. This small 5W does some really impressive job not only indoors, but also outdoors. It's loud, basses are great and the distortion level is very low, considering the size of the device.

The only flaw I have found is the speaker placement, as it throws the audio upward rather than spreading it around. The volume controls are also placed unusual, as you can find them under the speaker. The only button available on the front panel is the phone button. You can also control the speaker from your phone or tablet. Sound delay via Bluetooth isn't big, but watching the YouTube video without AUX cable makes it a bit out of sync.
The range of the Bluetooth is also good if you don't have too many walls in your apartment. I experienced some sounds dropouts when I was going to another room ~7m (23 ft away). My overall experience with the range was rather good.
Connecting the device to phone is a piece of cake. All you need to do is flicking the power button and finding the speaker in your Bluetooth available devices menu. Connection takes just a few seconds. Speaker is able to remember up to eight devices. You shouldn't have any problems to connect the device. It will connect to the last paired device available.
Pros:
price
small size
quite good sound quality
Cons:
signal can drop from time to time

[Bluetooth] MJYUN Noise Cancelling Earbuds

I bought these because I wanted to use earbuds in classes or while working and just use one earbud inconspicuously. These have worked great, and I like them so much that these are the only earbuds I bother grabbing when leaving the house for most occasions.
A big problem I have had in the past with my corded earbuds is that because I am at school, I am always stuffing my earbuds into my bag, where they get tangled and the cord gets damaged, so most of the time I just get cheap earbuds, because they all end up wearing out eventually.
These earbuds fit perfectly in the charging case, and because the case is so small, I can easily slip it into my pocket or backpack and know that they wont get worn out or damaged from my usage.
The pairing on the Bluetooth can be a little confusing at first, because both of the earbuds can be "in charge" because they both work independently. The best way for me to get them paired was to turn on one, and then once it pairs with my phone, then turn on the other earbud and it will automatically pair with the other one.
The sound quality is pretty good, and they are very good at sound cancelling, so I usually just put in one while in class so that I can still hear when something is going on.
I don't really have a way to compare the battery life with my other devices, but they seemed to last a really long time before they got to low battery and I usually put them in the case pretty frequently between usages and the case charges them well. The case charges by usb-c, which is a plus for me, because that's one less micro USB cord I need in the jungle (in my disorganized charging station), I just need to pop it on to my OnePlus Dash Charger and it charges at regular speed.
Although there is not much bass, the sound is very clear, and you can still hear the lower tones. I assume the lack of bass is a contributing factor to why the battery lasts for so long
One thing that surprised me was that my ears do not go well with normal cup earbuds, I usually have to use the shaped ones without the cups like the Apple or Samsung earbuds. Even when I use small earbud cup sizes, I often have trouble with my earbuds falling out. The design on these earbuds makes you twist them to go in and they actually stay in my ears very well I shook my head side to side, equalized my ears, and went running with them and they didn't come out.
Overall, I think that these earbuds are a great substitute for the apple air pods, and the long battery life along with the included charging case lasts me a good while of listening to music or calling people. Many of my Co workers and Classmates have asked about them and where I got them and I have been recommending them left and right, which is why I thought it would be a good idea to share my thoughts about them here .

Dudios Shuttle and Dudios Free Mini Review

As i searched for new Headphones i came across these on amazon, so i ordered 2 different versions to test them and give you a short review.
I ordered the Dudios Shuttle and Dudios Free Mini (both around 35€ on amazon).
The Dudios Shuttle are AirPod like headphones, with BT5.0, IPx5 sweat resistent and touch control from the headphone itself.
The Dudios Free Mini are more like my old Jabra elite sport headphones, they are a small egg-ish form factor and will sit in the outer ear.
On both packages a charging case, some earpieces in different sizes and a micro USB cable is included.
As said both come inside a case which also acts as the charging station. The case of the Shuttle also have a 4 leds which are charging indicators of the battery INSIDE THE CASE. If you put the headphones into the case they will automatically recharge, and a small red led on the headphones will indicate the charging process. They can play for around 4hours and then needs to be recharged. If you have the case around you can put them back and let them recharge.
On the Shuttle get around 24h of playback without the need of a wallplug. (5x recharge in the case + 1 initial charge = 24h) and on the Free Mini you will get around 15h playback claims dudios. I only tested a full charge, both lasted a litle longer than 4h.
Once paired the headphones will automatically connect to the phone when taken out of their case, in my tests this always worked quick and reliable. No issues at all.
The BT range is really good, in comparision to my old Jabra elite sport headphones it is even incredible. The Jabra headphone have issues already if you are more than 1 meter away and drop the music. This Dudios have no range issues at all, in my tests i put the phone in one room and traveled with the headphone through the whole apartment, they dropped the connection only through 2 concrete walls. I would not assume any issues in day by day usage.
Both headphones have a pretty good sound, in comparision to my old Jabra elite sport it is better. I know sound is always kind of a personal choice. They don't reach the sound levels of my Sony WH-1000XM3 but that was expected. For small headphones i am pretty impressed and like it. Perfect devices for doing sports and running around if you don't want to carry the big headphones.
Also both headphones have a touch control feature, you can simply touch (not press!) the headphone to play/pause etc. your music. Which comes in handy if you don't want to take out your phone.
My personal preference are the Shuttle, as they can run a little longer than the Free Mini and i find them more comfortable to wear.
I will attach some pictures of both headphones so that you get a better impression.
Overall: Pretty nice headphones for a cheap price!

ZMI PurPods Pro - The best TWS earphone you can buy for around 70 USD.

I'm not a audiophile but sometime, I would need an earphone to listen to some music and talk on the phone without put the large screen smartphone to my face. ZMI PurPods Pro is my choice for this purpose.
Here are my first initial thoughts for a week of usage.
The good:
- Sound quality is good (but not excellence, and not as loud as other earphone - like Anker Liberty 2 Pro).
- Noise cancelation features are good, there are a lot of option to choose (with ZMI Hear app).
- Micro phone are very good, it will suitable for someone who talks on the phone / voice call / video call a lot.
- Nice and trendy design.
- Ergonomic design that will fit to my ear and won't hurt for long time use.
Not good:
- Water resistant rated is low, only IPX4 (Other got IPX7, IPX8), which mean it can only resist your sweat.
- Sound loudness is low.

The earphone will stay inside at the middle of the package.
We will get 2 size of ear tips for replacement, and a USB-A to USB-C charging cable.
Closer look at the earphone and ZMI Hear app.
The charging case is ovan, so it will not able to stand on your table. The ZMI logo is also a LED indicator. Very brilliant design.
The charging case is using USB Type-C port to charge, or you can charge it wirelessly with any Qi wireless compatible charge.
2 earphones inside the charging case.
Like other TWS earphone, you will get magnet here to fix the earphone inside the charging case.
Bluetooth connection is fast and stable, I'm using with Huawei P40 Pro.
You can install ZMI Hear app on Play store / Appstore to use all the features of the earphones.
