Redmi Note 5 (whyred) camera2api, Doldby Atmos, Viper4Android don't work - Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro Questions & Answers

Hello, i have a problem, i rooted my phone with Magisk, running latest MIUI 10.0.4.0 for my phone, but i can't get dolby atmos, or viper to get fully working on it, always when i get a notification or plug in a charger it stops processing audio, both of mods. And can't figure out how to enable Camera2api on this system, tried couple of Magisk modules, none of them worked.
Thanks in advance.
Edit: Please make it standard thread, i accidentally made it Q&A, ty.

I am not able to make viper or dolby on miui 9.2.4.0 global stable. Tried arise magnum opus, arise Deuteronomy, viper flashable zips and standalone apk, dolby arise extension, dolby flashable zips, magisk modules... tried seliux permissive, reset app preferences...Nothing works I want to stay on miui only.
anybody has working method?
Edit: Just found one working.

I got the oreo official rom stable build which was leaked. I flashed magisk v16 and through the magisk module I got the viperfx to work. The processing status remains 'No'. But after playing a song and taking viper n closing it and taking it again enables viper. Now that's HiFi audio for me!

Viper for Android on rooted stock emui 8 with magisk

Hello guys,
I'm using the stock emui 8 rom on my honor 8 pro.
I have always intensively used viper for Android on my previous phones, and now I would like to have it in my honor 8 pro. I used to have resseruction remix as a custom ROM but it had too many bugs. Does anyone know how to get viper for Android working on a rooted stock ROM? Everytime I try installing the driver it says it was successfully but after each restart it asks again to install the driver. I have tried many things only APK install flashing v4a using twrp and using selinux changers and terminal commands but nothing seems to work.
Thanks in advance to anyone kind enough to help!
You have rooted it right...use the magisk v4a module...

I tried that keeps asking me to install v4a audio drivers
Viper4Android (32bit) is not compatible with EMUI8 audio driver (64bit)

Dolby Atmos not working in Lineage os 14.1 for Samsung Galaxy Note 2 (GSMLTE)

Hi all,
This is my first post here, hope I'm posting in the right place. I have flashed the latest Lineage os v14.1 20180701 nightly t0lte for Samsung Galaxy note 2 (N7105)
Everything works perfectly. Then I remember there is an app that I wish to try out, the Dolby Atmos. So I did it as steps below:
1. Download both Dolby atmos zip and the uninstaller.
2. Boot to recovery, use twrp to install Dolby atmos zip.
3. After installation done, clear dalvik and cache.
4. Reboot system.
After boot up, the Dolby atmos app is there, but it keep close whenever I open it.
Is there anything that I miss out? Appreciate it if anyone can help.

No need for TWRP to root.
To adapt to your device.

Thanks, but my question was the inverse: I want to root, typically I did using TWRP and flashing magisk zip. I was guessing if Magisk supports Poco F5 already.

This method is not recommended due to A/B partitions and current TWRP development for A12/13.
And root for what?

I use root for two main purposes: ad blocker in hosts (as I also use VPN service, so I don't want to keep VPN busy with ad blocker) and removal of bloatware with magisk debloater.

Xiaomi.eu ROM for 12 Turbo / Poco F5 with root is great, because one can install among others ad-block apps such as AdAway and block all ads in apps (Youtube excluded). I rooted xiaomi.eu (via magisk and "boot.img") couple of days ago and it's working great. You're right, when you wouldn't recommend rooting via TWRP and flashing magisk.zip for the reasons you mentioned in post #4 above.
Have any of you tried installing viper4android magisk?
A lot of devices are being unable to install the old viper 4 android. I know there's a 64bit version now that usually works on devices that can't install the other one. It doesn't have all of the features it's missing headphones surround sound and gain increase. Which are the two best features of the whole vipers situation. So I want to purchase a Poco F5 or F5 pro. So I am wondering if viper is working?
You'll probably have to install magisk delta canary latest build because the new magisk v26.1 won't work with viper now either. It will work if you Install viper with magisk delta and then switch to magisk official v26.1.
Normally what you do is you install the busy box module, The James DSP 4.6 module, Selinux permissive module, audio modifications library 4.2 module and the viper for Android module finally. You don't have to use the James DSP but sometimes it corrects problems in the system to get viper to work. I'm not sure how much you guys are aware so I am trying to cover everything.
Pixel 6, 7 pro it won't work on. My tab S8 plus, S22 and S23 ultra it won't work on. Pixel 7 pro with AOSP roms make it work when those are available.
