Will there be any updates to my device in the future? - LineageOS Questions & Answers

Hello, I am a newbie user of installation roms for android, I suddenly became interested in the Google Pixel cell phones and the android 9.0 system. I do not have much condition to buy the Google Pixel cell phone I decide to install rom 9.0 and the first one I researched in the browser I found "LineageOS" 9.0 for the device "Moto G 2nd Titan". The question is the following I would like to know if you are going to someday update this rom for LineageOS v16.0 that I found more fluid in other devices that are compatible with it, and for my device, and that sometimes the system stops responding , That's it. Thanks for listening.

It is not polite to ask for updates of an unofficial ROM. But you can follow the discussion there. https://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g-2014/orig-development/rom-lineageos-16-0-t3833953
If you want stability and updates, stay with official lineageOS. The maintainer is quite active.

Which version would you recommend official for my device? That is fully translated with my language (portuguese) and that has the gestures of android 9.0 (pie) and that has the google Google Assistant.

You have to decide between stability and pie features. For Google assistant flash a GApps package.

Lenovo P2a42 Android Q Update

Hello everybody,
Title says it all, I heard the requirements for flashing an Android Q GSI was increased, does the Lenovo P2a42 still manage to get away with it? It runs Oreo and Pie just fine, with the Treble enabled, but that's about it.
Source: https://www.xda-developers.com/install-android-q-beta-gsi-project-treble/
The build.prop says my current ROM is running Treble, however the other 2 tests mentioned in the source show false for me, and I'm not sure if I did it wrong, or my current ROM simply didn't support it, or is this phone finally meeting its end? Can it handle Android Q's requirements or is this the end?
Thank you for your time.
You are thinking way too much. Just enjoy the moment and don't stress much dude. When Q is released, we will know it. As long as the devs are interested, everything is possible.
Is there any full supported a/b methodology?

At the moment, Bootleggers 4.3 is the most stable Android 9 ROM for P2. No Android 10 is at its level due to stability issues.

Best android Q gsi for MOTO z2 play? (ALBUS)

So after testing AOSP extended, LineageOS17, Havoc OS and even DerpFest OS, I think moto z2 (albus) doesn't do great with GSI for android 10. There always was something off and the stability was far from one you expect from a gsi. I used KVT 2.3 aroma to boot. However, there are other devs releasing unofficial GSI roms as well which I haven't tested. Like ExPressLukeGSI or Trisquel collection which probably has a special thing for albus. So I am posting this expecting replies from anyone showing love to z2 play, If you know something then tell me. If you want to test the GSIs and can't find links, ask me.
i would to try gsi but i use daily mt phone and i need to something stable at now mokee is working ok but i had a issue with calls. i never try this treble roms xd

Mokee Q or Pie? This ROM are stable?
does anyone know if they are developing a gsi or normal Android 10 ROM for Moto Z2 Albus because I have been waiting for it for a long time and I would like to ask that please continue supporting this team please
@Euiz702 GSI is not specific for some device. You can use almost any GSI on Z2 Play already now

What kind of problems did you have? I'm testing phusson's plain AOSP and so far works good. Scrolling and some apps, especially Google maps run smoother than on stock Pie. I'm using modded Google Camera 6 (shared in Apps&Mods forum), it works good, just HDR+ can't be turned off and it tends to improve reality too much. I just didn't manage to install Magisk yet.
I also wanted to try Trisquels's gsi-albus stuff, but SourceForge has been working badly recently and I wasn't able to download anything

Your are using phusson pie or 10?
10 with V2.3 kvt (btw, previous post should not be quoted )
I also tried some Pies a couple of months earlier with V7 kvt but camera wasn't working there

If you want a rom with good battery life, try DescendantOS x (10). Havoc is good, but not for battery life.

I don't know and I already left. But before, my battery usually lasted for one day, now maybe half maybe a bit more.
I tried DescendantX, but it seemed a bit undone with something in status bar. But maybe I try it once more.
I also tried GSIs from gsi-albus project on SourceForge and they seem good, but they have always navigation bar on and fingerprint gestures off (doesn't matter what you select in kvt installer). So I wander whether they are really built with Albums in mind...
Can someone here help me decide whether to take the plunge or not into flashing a custom ROM on my daily driver Z2 Play, by clarifying some of my doubts.
1) Whether the Moto experiences like Moto Actions and Moto Display will be available when using custom ROMs and GSIs?
2) Will it be possible to return to stock ROM after flashing a 64bit Treble based ROM?
3) Also what is the best, most stable Android 9 or 10 based ROMs for Moto Z2 Play?

There are no stable Pie or Q ROMs for Z2 Play unfortunately. Only GSI ones that are all more or less bugged and it seems like no developer is interested in this phone anymore. For stable ROMs you can choose only from 8.1 ones which are all quite outdated at this point as well. Anyway I use unofficial LineageOS 15.1 as daily driver for like 1,5 year now and have no complaints, it's absolutely rock solid and latest release has February 2020 security patches. Moto actions, Moto display (kinda, it's different than stock) and fingerprint gestures works.
But honestly I don't think there is much point in flashing custom rom now, especially if you have stock 9.0.
Pixel experience plus on Albus
I have flashed the Pixel Experience Plus Android 10 GSI on Albus by using the latest KVT 2.4 and it works like charm.
There are no major bugs, everything is working fine like basic functions and performance is awesome.
Only ambient display is not working, other than that almost everything is working fine and this GSI can be used as daily driver.
And magisk is also working.
Did anyone tried to install Erfan's Oxygen OS GSI on Albus???

Good to hear that pixel experience is working for you. I am based in india and none of gsi seem to provide volte functionality. Can you confirm that the rom you have tried is working with volte? Please provide the source of the pixel experience gsi you have tried. i have tried Erfans gsi, its same volte doesn't work. Thanks

GSI ROMs without Treble...?

I have a Moto G5 Cedric and I plan to install a GSI ROM, but everywhere I have heard that I need my phone to have Project Treble compatibility, I have installed a lot of apps that tell you if your phone is compatible or not and they all say not compatible, but... is it true that it is not compatible?

Although there is no official support for Treble, it is unofficially available for Moto G5 Cedric here => https://forum.xda-developers.com/g5/development/treble-project-treble-cedric-t3820451/
It is a bit outdated, not having been updated in quite a while but you can download it from here => https://androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=287275
Disclaimer :: I have not tried/used this personally so cannot comment any further on this.

Android 10 GSI ROMs have broken RIL (Calls, mobile data, SMS, MMS, VoLTE, everything like you had no SIM card except that not even emergency calling works), Hotspot for example is often broken, etc. My advise: DO NOT USE.

LineageOS h815-userdebug 11 RQ3A.211001.001eng.jenkin.20220811.162238 dev-keys

Hello, I have LineageOS Android loaded - exactly this build > LineageOS h815-userdebug 11 RQ3A.211001.001eng.jenkin.20220811.162238 dev-keys
On LG G4 H815.
Can I get help and guidance on what to do?
I need to know if it is possible to update Bootloader and Modem to a newer version? Please tell me if flashing via Recovery TWRP - via Zip archive - LineageOS Android - I also update Bootloader partition and Modem partition? At the moment I need LineageOS Android 18.1 to turn on my Google Chrome browser. I confirm that I flashed the Google Gapps - Full Zip package - the one that takes the most time.
I am addressing you with a very sincere request. Because I need the latest Google Play Store. I am in a difficult financial situation. I am a victim of domestic violence, I am devastated due to lack of nutrition. Because the Biological Father doesn't love me. When I was a little boy, my father used to beat me, additionally he yelled at me when I wanted to get a job in my life, he attacked me that I would hang myself in life. This is not what a healthy adult does. I am grateful to the Xda Forum community that I can write my request for help, for support for my device LG G4 H815.
Is Custom Rom - Android a good choice - if it's LineageOS, does it still receive support for LineageOS 18.1 via the official LineageOS update channel
First of all, I want to have the lightest possible Custom Rom - I'm not sure about LineageOS 18.1, so I decided to leave a request for help. I need to choose a Custom Rom - one to have the option of having the latest Google Play Store in the first place - because I'm on Social Security - at the moment I'm not working, I can't give up in life. He fights every day to regain his health. Please write me help. I need help. One man wanted to send me a transfer - I mean withdraw money to a BlockChain account but this LG G4 H815 phone - had Android 6.0 MarshMallow and I confirm that for MarshMallow I don't have updates when it comes to BlockChain applications. So the account we tried to create failed and I couldn't activate the account.
I don't professionally know Custom Android Rom for G4 H815. That's why I come to ask you for help. How to do it to have the lightest Custom Rom, with the ability to have an increase in Rom and Ram memory. My question is, for Android Nougat 8.0 can I have the lightest Custom Rom - available for G4 H815?
I think LineageOS Android 18.1 / Android 11. It's a bit heavy in operation for the G4 H815/ Especially without adding extra Ram. and adding Rom memory.
Please help and support. Needs Online Help.
I am asking you to send me information which Custom Rom is the most stable. I inform you that I have a problem with the fact that when I try to launch Google Play - My G4 H815 on LineageOS 18.1 resets. Same thing when I try to launch google chrome. I kindly ask for help. xzenx1234x

i'm mainly looking for lineage os, but i cant download it from their website and its the only android 12 rom i can find for my phone
also, i have tried the unofficial rom but it fails to flash and my terminal says `xfer: 0.87%`
I have LineageOS 19.1 (Android 12L) on my Google Drive, is for Moto G7 Play, sadly, since it's Arm64, you will have some problems with app restarts
The only issue of this specific ROM is the Ambient Display, it doesn't work, outside that, there are no problems
