From experience with making 3minit mods in the nougat days. Custom would have a customized SystemUI. So a new mod would need to be created for each Rom and most likely each update.

Awsome I look forward to getting 3minit battery again when my Pixel 3 xl shows up tomorrow

Installed the resources app.
Went to Magisk app to install module. Install failed. Rebooted to TWRP and installed magisk version. Success?
Rebooted, don't see 3Minit app. See 3minit in Magisk module list.
Should I install the non-magisk version via TWRP? Do I need to uninstall the Magisk version first? I'll assume so and report back in a bit.
Edit: See screen shot and log. I uninstalled the magisk version and rebooted. Then I rebooted again into TWRP and installed the non-magisk version. I still don't see the 3Minit app. Do I need to install it separately? Am I just silly?
Edit: Oh, I was being silly. Downloaded the app from github. Limited options with free, but $2 is worth this level of work. Thanks!

How do I uninstall the non-magisk version? I'd prefer to only use the magisk mods.
Edit: nvm, found this thread. Just going to use the adb installer.

Android System Update notice

Hello,
I have version D85130e installed on my phone and am rooted on the stock ROM. I received a System update notice this morning so i thought there was a new software version for the phone, but when I check on the T-mobile site for the LG G3, it says that D85130e is the latest version. (Cant post links because I am a new user).
I am confused, has anyone else received this update? I couldn't find anything about it. It is 133.0MB in size and says that it 'includes Android Security updates among other changes'.
I don't want to install it in case in breaks my root or worse. Does anyone here have any information about this?
Thank you!
received the update too

tho i was disappointed it wasn't a 7.0 update, but i'm installing it right now and i would love to know: what's new?
Its a April security update. I will make a flashable zip with it. If anyone wants to try it pm me and I will share the link when its uploaded.
Link to try it: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=72931940&postcount=98 Flash MagiskSU after flashing the zip.
from what I read yesterday, it's the D85130G update. https://goo.gl/ktuJMP
I don't want to chance unrooting my phone with this update. I'll wait till there is a rooted version to flash

You can flash the update from the zip above and then flash magisk. That worked for me, I have v30G and root access. Thanks to MESA for suggesting it.
edit: MESA already said this above.
Stable update by MESA. No need to think about losing root access as MAGISK does the trick perfectly.
Everything is stable so far after 2 days of usage. I'll continue to give updates as and when I detect something unusual.
@eadumensah: is your safetynet working with MAGISK?

Not anymore. It worked on V12 but stopped after I upgraded to v13. Let me know in case you get a solution to that.

After a lot of testing it seems to me that safetynet works fine until I install xposed. Furthermore, installing systemless xposed from the magisk repository results in failure to boot. If I install systemless xposed from the xposed materialdesign app I am able to boot and use xposed modules but my safetynet check fails. I'm using magisk v13.2, magisk manager v5.0.6, material xposed installer v3.0.1 and systemless xposed v87.0 sdk 23 by topjohnwu.
Edited to add versions.

I got rid of xposed and deleted the play store data. Got into the magisk hide option and checked the following
1. Google play store
2. Google services framework
This is to hide it from detection by google. You can try it without deleting xposed first and let's see the outcome.

Tried that but it did not work. If I enable magisk core only mode (which disables systemless xposed) then I can pass security check. The only other magisk module I have is unified hosts adblock and I very much doubt that that is causing the safetynet failure.
Interesting side note: I've deleted apps from /system/apps and /system/priv-app from TWRP and I've changed the DPI using texdroider and these changes don't seem to trip safetynet.

so you were able to get xposed to install and work correctly on 30G? Please confirm
whenever I tried, I could never boot up the device. If failing safetynet means that i can have xposed on 30G, I'm ready to upgrade from 30E

I did get xposed to work but don't download and install the framework from the magisk app - use the xposed material design app to download and install the framework. I'm not sure why the magisk supplied framework doesn't work - it caused me to get stuck at boot as well.

xposed now working on tab s3

A modified xposed installer and framework for nougat is now available thanks to the Purify os team and rovo
https://forum.xda-developers.com/xposed/xposed-android-nougat-sdk-25-arm64-t3639221
Follow the link above.
1. Make backups, twrp/titanium
2. Install the modified xposed installer first, must be done first!
https://forum.xda-developers.com/devdb/project/?id=13191#downloads
Use the top one on the list it may get updated
3. Next download the modified xposed framework from Purify here
http://fastkit.org/xposed/
Follow the links.... SDK24 for nougat 7.0..... Then download the xposed version 87 model... Flash from twrp
Again make sure you fully back up, it all went fine for me, but sometimes these things don't go right.
Plenty of posts in the linked forum but a bit of a jumble as usual, all with varied results, but the above will work for us.
Not sure how many modules are usable yet, I have one working so I know it does work.

Not something I would normally do, is there a particular module you use for that?
It's been such a long time since I came across this, being able to adjust screen ratio and dpi on a per app basis. No real reason to now but with the 4:3 ratio on this tab, it'll be nice.
Also, been a while since I've used xbosed
does not work for me.. i get a recovery-boot loop and it does not start the system

I have been using it without problem for a while, but the versions used are crucial to success, I couldn't get the magisk systemless to work. Try going back to the beginning and make sure each download is correct, the method in the first post will work.

EDIT: Found a solution with http://repo.xposed.info/module/com.pyler.xinternalsd
I have followed the directions exactly and I tried twice to install xposed on my t825 rooted with magisk 14. No luck unfortunately. Has anybody been successful in installing it ??

had the same problem.. remove magisk and install superSU.. xposed do not work with magisk -.-' on this tablet..
Question, how do I remove xposed again?
Can I do it with the installer app, or do I need a special skript? Never used Xposed on Samsung before and I know everything works differently.
Hello,
Your experience : Do you have a "" Tab S3 SM-T825, Nougat 7.0, Root SuperSU "" on which you have installed Xposed.
1- Does Xposed work normally with different modules?
(No Bootloop or tablet block?)
2 - Which version xposed * .zip ?
3 - Which Version XposedInstaller _ *. Apk ?
Thank you
Cordially

Fairly old thread this, I have a T820, however I've made roms for both variants, the t825 thread is here,
https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-tab-s3/development/rom-sm-t825-tweaked-t3769742
the earlier versions are nougat the latest 3.0 on are oreo both work fine, you'll find instructions in the thread, if changing to oreo you need to flash the oreo bootloader, through odin, if returning to nougat you need to flash the older nougat bootloader as they're not cross compatible.
Xposed works fine on both, xposed installer included after booting, start the xposed installer app and select install it picks the correct version.
Root is by magisk.

Hello Rorymc
Thanks for the answer and for the link SM-T825 TWEAKED, but I'm already Root with SuperSU + Dm-Verity with Rom ARA2 Nougat 7.0 and I just have to flash Xposed with TWRP.
So, I think I have to take Xposed.zip and Xposedinstaller APK from rovo89 in pure version without add and unmodified ?
I hope I'm not mistaken .....

Download and install the xposed installer first and download zip through it.
- Install Magisk
- Go to Download section, search for xposed
- Install the xPosed installer for Magisk given in the text link
- Install the suitable framework
works and does not get kicked out by ROM updates.
Xposed doesn't work on miui 10 for our device. It gives bootloop.
I believe SELinux has to be _permissive_

I have seen you referring this microG many times with much admiration. The only microG I know is a small app required to sign in YouTube vanced and the older og YouTube. But of course you are talking about something much more complex. So what is that much useful that microG and fake gapps offer? I predict that it might need a lengthy answer so a summary would be good enough too.

Raptorddd, it is not possible using xPosed modules or framework on MIUI based ROMs. I was merely answering the general question if it can be installed on the Redmi Note 5. That question did not ask for MIUI.
To make that clear once again to all other users:
- MIUI uses a special framework that does not allow working with usual xPosed framwork
- Oreo AOSP and LIneage based ROMs do install and work with xPosed.
I have never used Gapps on my Redmi Note 5. I have microG on all my Oreo ROMs based on AOSP and Lineage. The easiest are Havoc and Aosip, these happen to be the two best ones at this time (for me). I have packed the Google Sync adapters and all microG modules in two zip files that I can flash from TWRP. That way the somewhat tedious installation of microG is vastly simplyfied when changing ROM. Nanodroid in the thread includes items I don't want.

well lets say its a lite version of google play services.. means more battery and also i can feel more responsive and snappier once you remove it. the only thing i log in is my google account for playstore.. microg replaces playservices.. that has like 300 services and and maybe 20 are on. while microg has like 7 or so.. on and less then 20 services..
i just want longer battery and more performance.. with microG that guy said on link that he added the signature to miui 10. i have not tried it yet.. easy way is magisk module or in nougat roms that are deodexed... oreo is odexed so cant patch it.. they are working on a patch that woks on oreo.. also 9.0 pie has problems i assumed rom is deodexed.
Gapps is a major contributor to battery consumption, most of the services are calling home functions that ensure Google gets also the last bit of where you go and what you do. Google Play services ensures this still happening in particular when there are non-Google apps running. Over the years it has been developed from an acceptable application framework to ensure location, notification and app service functions to a heavy prying tool. It is important for Google, which that is why it's force updated.
Google is making app developers disabling apps functioning, if no Google apps are installed, even though the app would work perfectly fine without.
That is where microG comes in. It is a not always a 100% replacement, some apps such as Google maps work only partially with microG, though there are alternatives for almost everything. https://shadow53.com/android/no-gapps/setup-guide/microg/
Tried to flash Xposed today only via Magisk 17.1v
Ended up in bootloop for MIUI 10 Developer ROM.
P.S.- Reflash the same zip via Recovery to uninstall and get out of boot loop
Some are claiming Xposed v90-beta3 is working with MIUI 10 but i've tried and it just results in a bootloop or booting to TWRP.
Has anyone on here had any success with xposed and MIUI 10?
Doesn't work, I tried and it too ended up in bootloop.

Thank you for your hard work!
Thanks for the app! It didn't worked, so I manually moved the app to System/priv-app through TWRP, mounted System and did that in File Manager, that worked.
Only problem I have is that after restart, all the Xposed/Donation features are getting unticked, really annoying.. I think I tried almost everything, but can't seem to make it work.
Anyone got a solution for this, please?
Got an S9 G960F running custom android 9 by Soldier9312 with TGP kernel selinux permissive.
Thanks in advance!

[MAGISK MODULE][ASH6] Powermenu reboot mod / volume warning removal / mock location

Simple magisk module that modifys the powermenu behaviour to boot directly back into magisk when selecting the reboot option.
I created this for personal use, thought I would share just in case someone else finds it useful.
I've also added the patches to "smali patcher" for future firmware updates which will allow you to generate your own updated modules based on new firmware bases!
You can find smali patcher: HERE
It uses the same module ID as smali patcher generated modules, this by design they should overwrite one another.
PATCHES ::
Mock locations - Hide mock locations status, allowing apps like Pokemon GO to treat them as genuine location updates.
Magisk reboot (Galaxy S10) - Reboot directly back into magisk from powermenu.
High volume warning - Disable high volume popup dialog.
If for whatever reason you find yourself in a boot loop caused by using this mod on a different rom base than the one specified in the thread title:

You can remove magisk modules from recovery mode.. dont need any third party tools.
Boot into TWRP
Advanced -> File Manager
Navigate to: data -> adb -> modules -> module directory (in this case "fomey.smalipatcher") -> Folder icon (bottom right) -> Delete

I've removed any posts regarding xposed from this thread.. this was done to prevent this thread being filled up with "xposed support" posts. Please take all future xposed discussion to their own relevant threads.
Installed it and phone is now stuck in a boot loop -.-
Thanks! Working for me on S10+

You are using this on a ASCA base rom right?
Not sure if this is relevant but there appears to be a bug with the TWRP magisk patched root method where trying to get into TWRP after the first boot causes a Bootloop. I've experienced this also but it's not caused by this module. A few people have reported it to Geite on his post so hopefully he can replicate it in the coming days
edited: working fine with s10+ thanks

You shouldn't be playing with root twrp and roms if you don't understand what that means :/
Very good work!! Thanks!!
Working perfect on S10+ 975F

ASCA is the end of the rom build number this module was created with, every rom build/update has a unique build number (you can find this in settings -> about -> software).
General rule of thumb is use mods that match your rom build number to avoid any funny business (crashing & boot loops).. if your using mismatch mod/rom build numbers it can cause havoc.
An alternative method of achieving the same thing without the hassle of having to wait for an updated Magisk module every time Samsung releases new firmware is to use the FireFDS Xposed module in combination with EdXposed. This will work transparently across firmware versions.

I certainly am. That's one of the best side-effects of running EdXposed as opposed to Rovo's original.
A few months ago, EdXposed was looking like a pale shadow of the original, but the work that GravityBox's developer has done in the last month or so to make that project work on Pie with EdXposed has really put EdXposed on the map.

I havnt installed the latest patch yet, I'm sticking with my region update cycle.
You can generate a new module yourself tho, visit the smali patcher thread linked on the first post.. the entire process is automated, you simply need to select the patches you want to use and install the module.
