If u have your bootloader already unlocked the kernel wont affect your data
But if your booloader is locked so u have to backup your data first and follow this guide
https://forum.xda-developers.com/mi-a2-lite/how-to/guide-how-to-unlock-bootloader-erasing-t3878453

i have bootloader unlocked, but now my problem is, i dont want to install twrp, how can i flash it in other way

If you try true like i said mia2 lite will boot nomarlly

If you have Verity Alert on boot that says it's not enforced. and you like to fix it!
Here is how to by @RyperX and @Leicxan
Download modem + firmware 4.02 and the 4.1.6 here:

It's a unified build working perfectly on the OP3.
@dorimanx just wow.
I have never encountered this kind of smoothness with my op3. I'm using Open Beta 18.
Not sure how this kind of level of buttery smoothness is even possible to achieve.
Hands down, this kernel is on whole another level of smoothness for op3.
Thank you so much! Any plans to support LineageOS?
Edit: CPU governor was set to performance by default but still very well performing kernel
First LG G2 with the Dorimanx power and finally with OP3, back to the heaven.

battery charging limiter:
open
Code:
/sys/kernel/charge_levels/charge_level_ac
or
Code:
/sys/kernel/charge_levels/charge_level_usb
and write the maximum charging current you want (measured in mA). Obviously the -ac file applies the limit when charging via the wall charger, the -usb file when charging via USB. 0 = stock settings.

I have no idea. I'm still a beginner in the world of OPO's ROM's. If AOSP-CAF uses Sultan's camera, my guess is that the whole kernel will probably work. If you try, let me know the result.
Autosmp was developed by mrg666.
Which thermal driver? And a way to use sdcardfs instead of fuse on sultan's los? And thank you for sharing this with us.

Sultan's thermal driver. To use sdcardfs on ROMs that normally use fuse, just add ro.sys.sdcardfs=true at the end of your build.prop and reboot.

Yeah no problem with the video, asking for permission is right when you need to mirror a file, or publish it somewhere etc. To show my work in a simple video is totally fine!

Stock one. I didnt touch it yet.
I hope doing these progressively. I found difficult to debug if adding massive features or patches at once.
This is stable .
Thank you.

Camera should work fine in my released version.
You compiled from my github?
They are buggy in CAF-merged branches.
The stock rom is not fully capable with updated CAF patches.

Yes, I am the CAF version compiled from your GITHUB, but I can't work with your compiled brush into my mobile phone camera.

You mean version r2? Any logcat.
Because camera works for me in either r1 and r2.
If you mean caf-branches in github, it's normal because they are still under testing.

Introduction
Ahoy everyone,
I decided to share my personal custom kernel with all of you. The main reason i started developing this kernel is to balance performance / battery / security and also add features.
I believe i have included most of the usually requested features. If your feature is not included you can ask for it and i will try to include it as long as you don't ask for ETA's. I am a student and i do this on my spare time.
Pie kernel is based on LineageOS 16.0 sources for dipper and is compiled
with SdClang which is Qualcomm's LLVM Compiler for extra performance. [EOL] - Final Version is 3.1
10 kernel is based on LineageOS 17.1 source for dipper and is compiled
with latest sources from LLVM for Clang 11.
So let's jump to the interesting part!

Moreover, you should flash this kernel only over the stock kernel that came with your Rom.

How far did it go? did it reboot in to twrp? did it go until the boot animation?

Hello Guys,
I am the developer of Sphinx Kernel for Bullhead.
I bought a Mi 8 but it still hasn't arrived , i am expecting it this week or next week.
However, i have managed to compile a Test kernel for Mi 8 (Dipper) from stock sources.
It is very possible that it won't boot. I would like someone to test whether it boots or not. Currently it contains no customizations but once i know it boots i will start adding features.
P.S You take the risk, if you brick your device i bear no responsibility.

mmm Interesting, im wondering whether the "bug" is in the source itself or in the Anykernel2 config. If i had to guess i would say both of them are correct hahaha. i might change a thing or two and if it doesnt work im going to wait for my mi 8 to arrive. Also which rom did you flash it on?

So here is the log i got from recovery.
The only thing i could see that the boot partition is busy
"No such file or directory
mount: mounting /dev/block/sde48 on /system failed: Device or resource busy"
And one thing.... Maybe the Kernel is for MIUI 9 8.0 (don't know if it exists i am on MIUI 10 Global stable xiaomi.eu)
EDIT:
Excuse me here is the real dmesg

ok so from the log you sent me i see this
Code:
[ 6.517314] init: [libfs_mgr]Failed to get verity metadata '/dev/block/platform/soc/1d84000.ufshc/by-name/vendor': File exists
[ 6.517378] init: Failed to setup verity for '/vendor': File exists
[ 6.517415] init: Failed to mount required partitions early ...
[ 6.517421] init: panic: rebooting to bootloader
[ 6.517433] init: Reboot start, reason: reboot, rebootTarget: bootloader
[ 6.517446] init: android::WriteStringToFile open failed: No such file or directory
[ 6.517460] init: Shutdown timeout: 6000 ms
could you please locate the fstab file of Mi 8 and send it to me? i want to see the boot block name. Also if i had to guess about the kernel not booting id say it has to do with the kernel requiring encryption (?) im not sure ill dig into it
