Hello guys, I created a simple Magisk module that can systemlessly add some OnePlus 6T Mclaren Edition features. No need to manually push files to system, simply install via Magisk Manager and reboot.
Module includes:
Bootanimation
Sounds (Ringtone, Notification, Camera)
Wallpapers (Live, Regular)
Fingerprint animation
How to install:
Download module zip
Install via Magisk manager
Reboot
* Mclaren Mod module only contains Wallpapers, Sounds and Bootanimation. Wallpapers works only on OnePlus launcher.
* When installing Fingerprint animation module, please wait for at least 40 seconds after reboot.
* When installing Fingerprint animation module, the default animation will be Mclaren (on every reboot).
* After uninstalling the Fingerprint animation module, you have to manually select any other fingerprint animation from settings or else there will be no animation.

I'm using Nova Launcher, and the McLaren live wallpaper options aren't showing up. They are only available in the native OnePlus Launcher.
So here’s the work around for Nova:
1. Go to Settings > Apps > default apps > Home, select One Plus Launcher
2. Select the live wallpaper you want
3. Go back to Settings > Apps > default apps > Home, select Nova again as your default, and the live wallpaper you previously used in One Plus Launcher becomes the OnePlus live wallpaper option in Nova...

The accent color is #E0610E. At least this is the color code from McLaren.

Yes Bro, this is due to "Pixel NavBars Animation"
You now use Pixel MOD? or Pixel ROM?
Pixel NavBars Animation is "SystemUI.apk"
To solve this problem, replace and copy original SystemUI.apk

Go to play store and read the description under your theme. It has directions what to do. You need to reset in your substratum settings, then you need to clean cache in theme Do a a reboot, clear data and cache, install overlay again, reboot, then enable theme. It will work

And in Qs background choose only for stables.

4.5.4 works for alls markets its a global firm, i have susbratum and magisk too and works fine, make a nandroid first and try
I know it's a global firm, but 4.5.4 was intended to fix 4g issues in the Netherlands. Also... I'm asking about Safety Net. What does this mod actually do... And does it touch system partition? That will likely break Safety Net. And you might also be aware that our current TWRP isn't great at restoring backups... So, not sure I'm keen to just go for it!

It doesn't break safety net. If you want to uninstall just flash full ROM, no need to restore an entire TWRP backup.
Can anyone confirm that this is working on either Freedom or Experience?
I use the Substratum Swift Dark theme but it does not black theme the notifications. Can I remove the Dialer and OPInCallUI directories from the flash file leaving only the framework and OPSystemUI and get black themed notifications only?

this switched my recents and my back buttons..
after flashing they were reversed.
I flashed both the black notification and fall recording mods.
I went into setting - buttons - and enabled the switch buttons to switch them back..

Problem is the line changed in build.prop, i can live without calls recording haha

2 more strange things..
as I said I flashed both the blackout and call recording mods..
1) now my contacts are coming up as Chinese characters in phone logs. (when I receive or make calls and in call history that is)
2) I use Facebook messenger and incorporate sms in the app. after flashing the mod this no longer works. . the app never finishes loading..
anyone?

reflash rom without the mods and all worked normally..
the Chinese characters I saw seem like the location of the phone number written in Chinese. and for some reason it was displaying contact name..
fb messenger is working normally now without the mods..

Just before I test this do I have to be on 4.5.4 or can I just flash 4.5.4 fw and modem package over 4.5.3 and flash your mod over it.
As 4.5.4 was only incremental for Dutch users I am running 4.5.3 for now.
Edit: i compare both 4.5.3 and 4.5.4 in terms of FW/Modem no changes thus flashed the mod and it works as desired.
You can update the OP as it works on 4.5.3 as well for other global users.

That's normal with stock launcher. I use nova launcher with condensed fonts for app drawer and the names are not cut in half.
Can you try lowering the font size (and display size too) in display settings?

They work like every other magisk module! Enabled/Disabled from magisk manager. Meaning, no modification to system.
cant add font
Note: if your phone gets stuck at the boot logo, just reboot phone and it should start normally. This should happen only if you add a font module without restarting after removing the existing font module.

Great job..using the product sans font.. feeling great..thumbs up..but one thing i want to share.. my friend has got a zuk z2 plus (snapdragon 820) on 8.1 oreo custom rom. How ever i have seen a different scrolling animation on his phone which ive seen on other oreo devices like.pixel xl 2. Is that thing for high powered processors only?

Ok I see.
First of all I'm not a dev. I just know my way around moding certain aspects of android.
Regarding animations, to my knowledge it's not related much to the processor. I've seen very old devices with some very fancy animations. So it's a matter of the custom rom developer deciding to ad or not custom animations.

Guide To Customize AOD
Requirements :
GUI APK Tool
Stock MIUI AOD App (Included in resources)
template.webp file (Included in resources)
MIUI11 FW (Included in resources)
Any Photo Editing Tool (Free Tool : GIMP)
Steps :
1. Download the aod resources file & extract it.
2. Open APK Tool, go to framework tab, tap on select framework and choose the downloaded miuifw.apk file & Install FW APK.
3. Go back to main tab, Select the stock AOD apk, tick the "Keep Original Signature" option & decompile then minimize the tool.
4. Open the template.webp file in your preferred photo editing tool.
5. Add the logo/image you want over the black bg(Images with transparent bg work best)
6. Export the image, do not change the .webp format and 800x800 resolution.
7. Replace the stock aod images with modified one by navigating into \APKTool\1-Decompiled APKs\MiuiAod\res\drawable-440dpi-v4
8. Replace any of the following stock aod images.
9. Open the minimized apk tool, and Compile the apk.
10. Compiled apk will be placed in \APKTool\2-Recompiled APKs
11. Transfer the modded apk to your phone and replace the stock app with modded app by navigating to /system/priv-app/MiuiAod
12. Reboot.

This mod works by replacing the static images found in the stock AOD, so limited with number of stock options.
UPDATE :

Custom AOD gives the user ability to select any image/gif to be displayed on AOD.

Not working on my k20 Pro MIUI 11.0.1
Hello, I installed it via magisk. The mod shows on my Magisk modules, but when I go to ambient display , I can see only default clock images.
I tried twice. What am I doing wrong here ?
P.S - Just forgot to mention that I don't even see stock AOD styles apart from the 3 clocks . Is it because I have debloated heavily and during the process I might have uninstalled/removed something related to this AOD styles ?
Both zips on latest miui beta give me an error!
If you see it said use miui theme I test it with all 3 stock themes of miui nothing.

6T, clean install. No bueno.

Just skip no. 4 Google camera and install all remaining it will solve bootloop ,i found the problem only with Google camera module ,developer will find the problem
You may uninstall magisk and reinstall magisk to revert back from bootloop caused by this module installation
