i have been trying for many days to fix this error problem Windows Phone Update Error 0x80070273 .. there was solution here in the forum about modify system file .. but the problem is when I apply full access on interop it show system files of the phone but all are protected as read only . so I can't replace or modify any files .. what to do to remove this read only protection on phone system files ?
I was on anniversary build 1607 .. then I started to update to CU and it finished download and installing but when restarted and I go to update it say there's Update Error 0x80070273 … and it seem that there are things are missing ..

What do you mean by that?
What are the steps you used for obtaining "full system view"?
What phone model are you using?
Did you search the forums for your answer first?
---------- Post added at 05:07 PM ---------- Previous post was at 04:56 PM ----------
At times the path for ndtk services gets changed. If this is an x20 device and you toggled the full filesystem access switch in Interop Tools and did the reboot but still cannot edit files. Toggle the restore NDTKSvc switch too and see if that helps.

phone is Lumia 1320 .. and I updated it to windows 10 , 1607 .. then I tried to update to windows creator 1703 .. it download it and when it install say there's error 0x80070273 … so I been reading about this error and here in forum someone said solution .. which is to edit or modify a file on the phone root .. so I did as he explain .. and I used interop tools to view full system files . but all files are read only .. so I can't edit them .. ..
I also tried NDTKSvc.. but same .. nothing change ..
I tried many times and long times .. and hard rest and try again and again .. .. many days trying .. but no change ..
so I don't know how to solve it

What version of Interop Tools did you install and how did you install it?

Privileges are not being elevated for some reason to give rw to the mtp mount. You could try one of two things. Uninstall IT and then install this version here, and see if anything changes. Or you can download swish or another known working sftp/scp app and login as system via sftp and try. If none work, then there might be some change in the OS build on your phone that is causing a bug and not allowing rw access for mtp. You can check all the registry settings too. See if the mtp registry settings are accurate. If they are even try setting HKLM\Software\Microsoft\MTP\DataStore string to C:\Windows and see what happens.

no luck .. nothing worked .. I gave up about trying to modify that file … I have to find how to update from windows 1607 to 1703 by offline pacakage .. I have tried to use iutool but didn't work ..

[Q] [Solved] Samsung apps can't launch : "invalid app"

Hi every one !
I'm using the Belgian firmware with a Wave 2 TLBLB1 and I'm getting some strange errors after an upadte :
- The boot screen is reversed
- The boot animation is played in reverse
(just annoying)
- After doing the Samsung apps update it can't launch it says : " Impossible to launch (...) invalid app"
I tried several times to hard reset and recover a clean bada but after each samsung apps update the same error appear.
Does some know from where those errors come from ?
Thanks in advance.
Solution :
- Do a hard reset
- Don't recover your settings files and apps
- Do the update
Solution 2, thanks to mylove90 :
-Try removing it by deleting its folder with TK file explorer (edit ini file to make it work with bada 2.0)
-Copy Samsung Apps.oap file....i'll assume you know the path of that file
-Open it with 7z or any other program
-Edit manifest.xml file to give it higher version number

Click to collapse
Are you updated your phone via OTA ?
Yes it was an OTA update. But apart from the bug I listed, everything works fine.
Exactly Don't know about samsung apps but Reversed also for me as this
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=25923810&postcount=119
hahahahahahahahaha
These bugs are so funny
Thanks to Samsung we don't have OTA updates in Egypt
But i guess that you just got a bad Samsung Apps update
-Try removing it by deleting its folder with TK file explorer (edit ini file to make it work with bada 2.0)
-Copy Samsung Apps.oap file....i'll assume you know the path of that file
-Open it with 7z or any other program
-Edit manifest.xml file to give it higher version number
In Theory , This should prevent the update & make your Samsung Apps work
Best Regards
Yeah it's exactly the same... It should be normal for Samsung that the phone boot that way...
Could it be a general error from the OTA system update ?
For the samsung apps I expect the same bug since it was also with an OTA update.
Edit : yes I will try later this method I don't have time to do it right know I will report when I did it.
Edit 2 : So I hard reset and try again to update and it works even after the update. But after recovering my files it bugs. I will try to recover before updating.
Just a simple/noob question how do you express the files into a .oap file ?
Edit 3 : WTF it works. It should have been a setting error. Strange.
This is NO bug...
This is VISUAL teststuff...
Firmware like XXKKV... XXLAV, XXLBV
These are for internal testing... it is easier to see if success, instead wait and enter *#1234#
Read here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1363328
Remember... as V is highest "Character/Digit"... Kies nor OTA update again...
You have minimum to flash other apps_compressed.bin with Multiloader.
Best Regards

[GUIDE] [ROOT]NTT Docomo Fujitsu Arrows X F-02E Root

I DO NOT TAKE CREDIT FOR THE WORK. I ONLY TRANSLATED THE SCRIPTS TO ENGLISH .
I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE IF YOU BRICK OR BREAK YOUR FUJITSU.
I have managed to find a bat file which will allow you to root your F-02E japanese phone.
I have also found a script to allow system R/W made by kikuhare
Steps Involved:
Make sure your phone has 100% charge.
Download the Root + System Mount
Extract the zip's to different folders.
Enable USB debugging under Menu > Settings > Developer Options.
Point to the folder where you extracted drivers from "usb_driver_F-02E_1.0.zip". Wait for drivers to install.
Make sure the phone is connected as PTP not MTP.
CMD into the folder "f-02e_oneclick_su_installer". It is inside the "Root + System Mount_1" files folder.
Run the runme.bat.
Download "Root Checker by joeykrim" from the Play Store.
Run the "Root Checker" app
Wait for the process to finish.
UPDATE System R/W
Connect phone to computer
Download the System Read Write Mounter_1.zip <<<<<< Only need to download if you did not download the "Root + System Mount_1.zip" file.
CMD into the "F-02E_system-mounter" It is inside the "Root + System Mount_1" files folder.
Extract the file and run the"START.bat"
Run everytime the system restarts to mount system as R/W.
Enjoy root .
NOTE: This method does not give full root permissions. You will still be able to underclock the CPU to some degree and use the CoreControl app to disable cores. I will have to run start.bat inside F-02E_system-mounter folder everytime the phone restarts to get system R/W
Drivers: usb_driver_F-02E_1.0.zip
Root Includes System Mount: Root + System Mount_1.zip
System R/W Mounter: System Read Write Mounter_1.zip

No, not enough developers and interest for the phone outside Japan. I doubt anyone will be willing to put in effort as well
Oh well, but it is a very good phone, i think ill still get it though. I just wanted to know is half of it in Chinese even if you select english, i just heard this on youtube about another one of fujitsu's phones?

Only Docomo and Fujistu apps are in Japanese. Everything else is in English.
Thats fine i suppose with root explorer i can delete those apps by deleting the apk in system app? Also if you have xposed app settings you can change the language per app would that also work?

I have just frozen them, just incase if the phone needs the at somepoint. Xposed framework doesnt work as it need system R/W and the root method has not allowed system R/W mainly because the phone bootloader not unlocked. Secondly make sure you do not uninstall/disable the Phonebook and Phonebook Service provided by Docomo. Its key to allowing you to add and sync contacts.
So Xposed wont work at all then, thats a shame what about lucky patcher, does that need R/W?
Sent from my Xperia T
Improved the .bat file. Now you will have system R/W
Download the root file again and run it. Follow the steps starting at 10 if you have already rooted. :good:
Thanks

anyone else besides the OP got their f02 rooted with this?
I may not be able to help any further. I have boot looped my phone. I cannot get it past the NTT Docomo screen. I think I know what is causing it but I cannot get the phone connected to the PC. I may need to send it into Fujitsu.
Good luck on fixing it

I have not been able to overcome the issue. It is a design issue. Because it is waterproof phone the heat cannot disperse.
The only thing I have been able to do is keep the CPU frequency down to lower the time it takes for the phone to heat up.

You can use interop tools / custompfd or vcreg to modify this :
HKLM\System\Platform\DeviceTargetingInfo
Change the PhoneManufacturer to NOKIA

Perhaps I am doing it wrong in vcREG.
Is this correct:
Open vcReg
Click Hkey_local_machine
Type path: HKLM\System\Platform\DeviceTargetingInfo
Type key: PhoneManufacturer
Hitting Read does nothing.
What are the steps to changing the Manufacturer in vcREG? Sorry to bug, I am a long time Android user and just moved to Windows for the first time. I appreciate the help!

Thanks again for the help, I am currently restoring the phone using Windows Device Recovery Tool to start fresh. I will try CustomPFD and report back any progress.
I am trying to install CustomPFD and am getting error 0X81030120 now and it fails. This is on a fresh reset phone with no modifications other than enabling Developer Mode.
How do you install CustomPFD without getting the error?
I am using XAPdeployment to install.
@ngame Accessing normal registry still requires ndtksvc.dll in System32 running. @dfeldt91
Go to "Registry Editor for All Device".

Or you can use alternate registry editor.

I just updated the OP again. And where did you see it should be in extras? Don't follow or read the older thread that got posted, go to the storage settings, make sure interop tools isn't listed at all, if it is, uninstall it, then download the current pre-release 8 of beta 1.9, and read carefully the instructions. You are required to install using device portal. If it failed, device portal should give you a specific error code. Just make sure to follow the installation instructions from the official thread and everything should go alright.
Edit: reopen the thread and download the other missing ndtk spkgs zip too. Forgot to include it.

Ok, Got the NDTK files installed and it is restarting...

I deleted the system apps I don't use such as Xbox, Get Help, Continuum, etc. They immediately force close when clicked on in the start menu but do not disappear when the phone is restarted. I noticed the app files showed back up under Data\SYSTEMAPPS as well.
Does anyone know how to permanently remove these apps from the start menu?

You can use a app like this: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=tkstudio.sboot to change boot animation or some ROMS like jasmine rom 7.0 have the original samsung logo boot sequence, for the app to work you need root and read carefully before doing anything. Hope this helps.

Well if you mean like accessing and editing system files I'm not how to do edit them but I know that you can use a app like root explore: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.speedsoftware.explorer that's the free version the paid one is $3.99 in the US. With that you can move and add files to system folder you can edit permission of files and things of that nature.

Well system file is where all the data and software is at basically everything visible on the phone. Maybe this article could help it deals with modifying samsung rom and flashing it. If you want to read more on it here's the link: http://android.stackexchange.com/questions/85703/modifying-samsung-rom-and-flashing-it-on-a-device if you wanted to remove apps or add custom apps to your phone you would modify system file.
But what I thought was important was this;
(I did not write this thread)
< "You should be able to use an archive program on PC and recompress to .tar, .gz, and others. Dont forget to re-sign the archive. Keep a copy of your untouched ROM until you have the modified ROM tested and running.
The ROMs are signed with a signature. When repacking if they don't get signed they will fail in flashing. This link will help explain it.
So basically after downloading the firmware you have to rename it so you can extract the files, change them as you need, recompress them again and re-sign them, so you can flash them using Odin." >
This thread was dealing with modifying CM rom;
< "There are multiple solutions available:
Re-Zip the Image
Advantage: You do it once, and can use the resulting image for multiple devices. That's what I did with CM7.2 for my Milestone 2. Easy enough to do:
create a temporary (empty) folder
unzip the zip file to it
remove unwanted *.apk files from /system/apps (be careful of what you remove, of course)
zip up the directory contents again
Using a graphical ZIP manager (like WinZip or the like), steps would be even easier:
open the zip file with the archive manager
remove the unwanted .apk files
if the ZIP manager requires it, save the manipulated zip
Manually cleanup after flashing, using the shell
This is what ce4 recommended in the comments. It requires you using a terminal emulator on your device:
Flash the image as-is
remove superfluous stuff from the system partition by hand (like rm /system/big/junk/example.mp4)
Manually cleanup after flashing, using other tools
Almost the same as the previous method, but a bit more user-friendly. Disadvantage: this won't do for superflous ringtones and the like:
Flash the image as-is
Use a tool like Titanium Backup or Root Uninstaller to remove unwanted system apps" >
Edit: this link explains the signature of the file: (from google) https://code.google.com/archive/p/zip-signer/

Ok so I may have found a solution for you it requires a pc and to download a program. You'll need your rom and any apps you would like to insert into it. The program is as simple as right click and delete for any apps you want to remove. The program is made by a developer on XDA named "_Logie" here's the link to the Web page: http://m.tech.firstpost.com/news-analysis/how-to-add-or-remove-apps-from-a-custom-rom-101986.html and the link to the program is on there or here's the direct link: http://www.solidfiles.com/d/da2dd6335d/
This program compiles the ROM into a .zip if you have TWRP recovery you could do a backup of your previous rom before flashing your current one because you'll have to completely wipe every main partition before flashing new rom to ensure you don't run into problems
Edit: backup system, data, and cache because those are the ones you'll need to wipe also before wiping them just in case I would remove any password that locks your phone because if you try to flash a new rom and fails and your left with the recovery file it'll mess up the password, fingerprints will be forget and backup password will be unchangeable and will require a factory reset to be able to change it.

Hmmmmm ? I think you want to change the boot animation (white Verizon logo red background? ) if so your gonna need to either need to flash a pre-made zip with Flashfire (can't seem to get it to apply from twrp) or your gonna need to manually copy into the appropriate directory (mount system directory r/w copy then change permissions of the file you copied to 644 and reboot) presumably with a root explorer though doable from terminal

Try flashing with flasfire enabling the option mount system r/w and use common paths (probably not necessary but won't hurt) I have had difficulty getting anything other than ROM and gapps to apply from twrp but flashfire seems to work . I'm thinking its due to the fact that flashfire flashes after boot loader and then resets prior to os load.

[GUIDE] How to fix Windows Update Issue on CU builds - Error 0x80070273

For those who are still waiting for a fix for the update error and don't want to undergo the recovery process, I found a different solution, which doesn't need a recovery operation on the phone.
I tested it with success on my 1020 and another 925 which were stuck in the CU build .297.
Keep in mind that the parameters that I will use are specific to these phone models, so if you have a different one you need to find the parameters specific to your phone model.
This is an heuristic procedure, tested on a limited number of phones, so use it at your risk, keeping in mind that you could have problems or need to recover your phone loosing all your data, so do a proper backup before.
Let's start.
The problem appears because, during update phase, the oeminput.xml file becomes corrupted: as far as I know it happens only on some x20 models, and not for all the users.
Now we're going to rebuild it...
Go to the following link
https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/hardware/dn756630(v=vs.85).aspx
Copy the content of example file oeminput.xml: i.e. copy the content of the framed zone after the phrase "The following example shows the contents of a sample ProductionOEMInput.xml file"
Paste in a .txt file which you'll rename and change extension so that it becomes oeminput.xml. Save it with notepad.
Now modify the file
at the node <SOC>{PROCESSOR_NAME}</SOC> modify {PROCESSOR_NAME} fake parameter in order to have the processor name of your phone: for the 920/925/1020 use QC8960
at the node <Resolution>480x800</Resolution> instead of 480x800 use the resolution of your phone: for the 920/925/1020 use 768x1280
in all the nodes related to language <Language>en-US</Language> use the language of your phone: I used for example it-IT because I have the phone in Italian language.
Save the file.
Now if you still don't have interop tools installed (but I think you should have if you arrived to CU with an x20 phone model) install it.
Launch interop tools and then click this device and enable full file system access. Reboot your phone, connect it to a pc with cable: you'll see more directories than usual, because you also unlocked system dirs: be careful not to delete or modify any dir apart from what you find in this guide or you'll risk to damage your phone. If you want to find your usual dirs (docs photos...etc), go to phone\Data\Users\Public. I advise you that after the procedure I couldn't deactivate full file system access, because it continues re-activating in interop tools, maybe there is a way: but you can live with this, because you can find the usual dirs in the path that I specified...
Now go to phone\windows\imageupdate, make a backup on pc of the current oeminput.xml and overwrite it with the new one.
At this point in the phone go to settings, update and then search for updates: you should find Fall Creators Update...
Good Luck!
p.s. I didn't extensively search on the forum if a similar guide has been already posted, in the case sorry for the duplication.
Thanks to Antonio who has actively participated in the realization of this guide

At this point I think it's not a problem of corrupted oeminput file.
I googled around...not so many people having the problem...I found this link...
https://answers.microsoft.com/de-de...nd-eimem/0a6e1776-9005-40e8-a18e-9eaf0f35b648
It's in german language, but from what I understood the problem has been solved with Recovery Tool via pc: I know that's not the best solution, but maybe better than remaining without updates. Another significative information is that an hard reset alone doesn't solve the issue!
I hope that can be of any help...

You can examine your oeminput.xml file and check if it is somehow not well-formed.
If that is the case you can use
<SOC>QC8926</SOC>
<Resolution>720x1280</Resolution>
Thanks for the reply guys.
I couldn't wait longer, so went with an reset. It updated fine after that.

The error overwriting oeminput.xml happens when you haven't obtained full filesystem access.
In order to obtain full filesystem access:
Open Interop Tools, then this device, then Interop Unlock.
Check Full Filesysytem Access and restart your device.
Refer to this thread to download correct version of Interop Tools
https://forum.xda-developers.com/windows-10-mobile/tutorial-restore-glance-windows-10-t3540571
Let me know if you can solve the problem this way.
