Anyone had success in downloading this from Google Drive?. All it says for me is downloading with no indication of progress for 45 minutes and then a unsuccessful message. Source forge doesn't show the 12/21 build.
Great Rom. I attempted to remove some system apps via twrp recovery (via browser, contacts). Upon doing so, the ROM would not boot. Anyone have any idea what causes this?

I don't use gapps and there's no messaging app pre-installed. I'd suggest OP to include a messaging app and an email client. By the way, great work, so many features, there are some conflicting settings combination which I think are going to be fixed eventually. :good:

Maybe you removed some essential app by mistake. Try any system uninstall app from playstore. I used System App Remover and removed 7 to 8 non essential apps. My ROM is working fine.

Also I've read in some posts Crashes - (facing many freezes because of the system interface that stops working almost every time)

I've tried it some time ago, and I had trouble to get a call. Had to try 5 to 10 times, and sometimes I cant even get the call. Did you find this bug on AEX?

I've tried it some time ago, and I had trouble to get a call. Had to try 5 to 10 times, and sometimes I cant even get the call. Did you find this bug on AEX?

No crash or any issues until now , performance and battery backup is better than any other Oreo roms. Also device is certified .

Read the main thread again , you will find download link for ROM
and as this is UNOFFICIAL you won't find it in downloads.aospextended.com until it gets official.
I've been using the rom 5 days ago without any problem
Working smooth
Nice rom, everything is working well, performance and battery comparable to 7.1.2 roms. Rooted with magisk 16, theming with substratum without problems, also flashed Viper as magisk module and Dolby Atmos axon7 for Oreo via TWRP.
Had some crashes with Adaway 3.3, went back to 3.2. Inbuilt Footej camera is working for photos and videos.
Titanium and Swift Backup also running.
Usable as daily driver.

Everything works correctly. However, there is still a lot of AospEx functionality.
The only thing I had to do was edit the updater-script file and delete the phone version check.
Originally, the installer stopped on this line reporting an error.

Hello, I installed lineage 16 and it went fine, but I couldn't get this one to boot, with latest TWRP and full wipe.

Is it possible to make this for the LG G6 us997?
testing aex 6.0...
came from v5.8 with full clean flash (internal storage as well)...
noticed things so far:
- less extension options (i.e. can't set a clock position in status bar, can't add action to navbar buttons, can't change the battery icon, etc...)
- can't turn off the low battery led blinking
- no themes as in 5.8...
- brightness slider almost doesn't change anything until around 75% and above...
- google camera app is crap (it saves pictures rotated and only in 1:1 aspect ratio no matter if i choose 4:3 or 16:9 ratio) - Bacon camera works ok... but i'd still prefer Snapdragon camera app if possible...
that's all for now and mainly cosmetic (didn't test calls and 4g yet) and i hope most of the things i've mentioned here are still in the development since this is an Alpha release

Thanks and Congrats for Oreo, step by step we are close to stable Oreo, thanks to all the people involved in max's development,
And Otg is not important for me, any other big bug which can interfere with daily usage,
I just installed this, so far I am really liking it even while I am setting up and restoring all my stuff.
OTG is no issue for me, as I only use this Asus to play 1 game.
One issue I have is that Reboot or Reboot to Recovery, whether from the system or from an app, does not work on my phone and just shuts down.
Oh yes, works perfectly with Magisk, latest Canary release build.
If you can, please add bluelight filter too, and wallpaper for lock screen ...
i cant use mobile data in this rom... why???
but this rom is pretty stable compare to dot os 2.5...

You need to add APN manually then you can use mobile data.

Download any app for that, you can find that on playstore.
It was giving other issues so i removed night light.

Workaround is just to use the buttons - i.e. longpress the power button to reboot, and the usual buttons for reboot to recovery.

P.S. I found the wallpaper for both Home Screen and Lock Screen, I don't know how I missed it earlier. If I remember the first time it just asked me to select a wallpaper and it automatically applied it to the Home Screen. This time, it asked me where I want to use it, Home or Lock Screen.

Fantastic rom
Two errors: 1) Q-style battery icon with the option to show the percentage of charge inside, when removed from the charging, it continues to show percentages on the side! 2) the APN-point does not automatically determine the point, you need to manually add ... Thats all -))))

I'm still happy that I have been able to test the rom! It's so smooth, the custom UI colors are nice!
For now I've only found the two bugs as mentioned above.
