AICP
Android Ice Cold Project
AICP is known by everyone as the "Ice Cold Project" that started on a Desire HD years ago (2012) and since then has evolved into a mature ROM with the BEST community that you can find!!!
Until Android Lollipop, the ROM has always been based on AOKP. Unfortunately, since AOKP stopped development (but made a comeback later), we changed our base to CM.
With the re-brand of CM to LineageOS (LOS) we became LineageOS based with some tweaks from AOSP and we are now based on the "Ground Zero Open Source Project" (GZOSP) for Android Pie.
If there are any bugs, either we will sort them out or the GZOSP team, if it concerns their code base. This ROM isn't GZOSP supported, so there is no need to report errors/bugs to them!!
Code:
#include <std_disclaimer.h>

* thermonuclear war or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please
* do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM
* before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications and if
* you point the finger at us for messing up your device, we will laugh at you. Hard & a lot.

FAQ:
Before using the ROM:
Q. Can I have an ETA for the next build?
A. Yes, just look in the OP to see if your device is built on a nightly or weekly schedule.
Q. Does this ROM support custom kernels?
A. No. You can still use them, but discussion should go in the thread of the respective kernel. We don't offer support for bugs you might encounter while using them!
Q. Why doesn't this ROM support Xposed?
A. Xposed is a hack that is geared towards AOSP. Custom ROMs modify the framework a lot, so Xposed can cause a ton of issues on custom ROMs. Now it might work for you, however it is not to be discussed in this thread, and you should refrain from posting bug reports.
Q. Alright, but I still want to flash Xposed, so which version do I need to install?
A. You will need to use the version arm64/arm/whatever for SDK 27.
Flashing the ROM:
Q. What do I need to know before flashing?
A. Check the install instructions in the first post...
Q. Can the builds be dirty flashed over each other?
A. Yes, however make a nandroid backup first as there is a chance of getting a bootloop or encountering bugs. Also bugs may only be reported on a clean flash.
Q. How do I 'dirty flash' builds?
A. Wipe the System, Cache and ART/Dalvik cache. Flash the ROM, GApps (only needed if you wipe the system), your preferred root solution and reboot. Or just use the OTA app to preform that task for you.
Q. How do I flash kernel builds?
A1. If it's a .img file, boot into TWRP and go to the install page in TWRP, in the bottom right corner select "install image", select the desired kernel, then select "boot" as the destination, then swipe to flash, then go back to the install screen and install your root method again, if you don't want to loose root and reboot.
A2. If it's a flashable ZIP, you can flash it together with a ROM update or separately. Go to the install page in TWRP, choose the kernel zip (or add it to the flash queue right after the ROM zip). Then add your root method to the queue if you don't want to loose root. Now swipe to flash and reboot afterwards.
Using the ROM:
Q. I installed a bad theme and now I'm getting a bootloop, how do I fix it?
A. In TWRP, flash the substratum rescue zip that's in the substratum folder on the internal storage.
Q. I keep losing root with Magisk, how do I fix it?
A. Check this out. If that doesn't work for you, ask for help in this thread, read or ask in the Magisk thread on XDA or just re-flash Magisk!
Q. I'm having issues with WhatsApp, how do I fix it?
A. Read this
Q. Do I need to provide a logcat if I'm reporting a bug?
A. If you want it to be fixed faster (or at all) then yes, you should definitely provide a logcat. (Note: Please just link the logcat from your GDrive, Dropbox, etc. and do not post the content here. Thanks.)
Q. How do I get a logcat, what type should I get and more questions that can conveniently be answered by my pre-determined answer?
A1. Read this thoroughly. Also, here's a good app for getting logs: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.tortel.syslog (Root needed).
A2. If you are already rooted, you can use the built-in feature to make a logcat and provide that. Just look into the others section in the AICP Extras main page.
The ROM should contain everything you need to enjoy Android Pie. You don't need to install any Add-on's, simply download the latest ROM, GApps, flash it and go!
If you want the device to run the ROM "rooted", you can flash a root solution of your choice after the ROM Zipfile.
It is STRONGLY recommended to fully wipe your device before flashing and please avoid restoring system apps and system data with Titanium Backup as this can cause stability issues that are very hard to debug.
If you believe you know what you're doing - then fine, go ahead, but please don't complain if you experience any strange behavior.
How to flash for the first time:
(Again: Don't do it if you don't know it!)
1. Download the ROM and GApps and transfer them to your device.
2. Boot to recovery (TWRP recommended).
3. Wipe the System, Cache, Data and ART/Dalvik cache.
4. Flash the ROM Zipfile.
5. Flash the GApps (optional, needed for e.g. Google Playstore to work).
6. Reboot and set up your device, enable developer settings and in them OEM unlock/Advanced reboot/USB tethering.
7. Reboot back into TWRP recovery.
8. Flash the root solution of your choice (optional).
9. Reboot your device.
The procedure might vary from device to device and is a bit different on system updates!
The ROM has GApps persistence in between dirty flashes, so you only have to flash them once!
The root solution should be flashed together with every OTA update (= ROM Update)
Currently supported Root Solution:
Magisk stable
Magisk versions higher than 17.2 doesn't usually require to be flashed on every dirty flash. Depending on the device, you may need to flash it every time. Unless your maintainer says otherwise it should be fine.
PREREQUISITE FOR OTA ("Over-The-Air" Updates):
To be able to flash using the built-in OTA app, TWRP recovery is needed.
Please be sure that you are on the latest TWRP recovery. Keep in mind that this could also be an unofficial version!

Looks like same bugs as the rest, same developer.
Inspite of doing clean flashes, I just hate to reboot/restart any of the PIE roms here, sometimes it takes several boot attempts just to get to the lock screen. Boot animations show, then suddenly black out, and have to restart again, and again, and so on.
I like this ROM though, it seems "steadier" than the others for my Asus which I only use to play a game.

From that list, dt2w. stock camera, and edl are confirmed as not working on my device. For camera, I use Cymera anyway which is fine, I don't use the stock camera. No problems with phone heating, slow charging, touch issue (unless I run out of memory, so I have to watch it).

For camera i use gcam, but one of the devs asked me to always use footej.
Then i use less apps, i have installed about 44 apps, and it works perfectly for one day after that those issues will arise, dnt knw why and its only for my device.

Well, let's just hope all these issues can be fixed by the developers.

Is the volte working!?

it is smoother than using other custom rom!
Nice to see a more better update after

OP stopped development for this device.THREAD CLOSED on his behalf.

Thank you so much. I will try today. Can you share any screenshot ?
Oh wow! Great, but please could you change the "Know issues", it's very misleading, and each Rom atm has different bugs (some have VOLte, some don't).

resolved by restarting the phone. Thks.
Be sure to flash latest fw and wipe all. If you come from OOs or another ecrypted rom you will need to format userdata from twrp (Be careful, doing it will erase all sdcard data).

Android Ice Cold Project
AICP is known by everyone as the "Ice Cold Project" that started on a Desire HD years ago (2012) and since then has evolved into a mature ROM with the BEST community that you can find!!!
Until Lollipop, the Rom has always been based on AOKP. Unfortunately, since AOKP stopped development (but made a comeback later), we changed our base to CM.

A. Xposed is a hack that is geared towards AOSP, custom ROM's modify the framework a lot, so Xposed can cause a ton of issues on custom ROM's.
Q. How do I dirty flash builds?
A. Wipe the System, Cache and ART/Dalvik cache. Flash the ROM, GApps (only needed if you wipe the system), your preferred root solution and reboot. Or just use the OTA app to preform that task for you.
Q. How do I flash kernel builds?
A1. If it's a .img file, boot into TWRP and go to the install page in TWRP, in the bottom right corner select "install image", select the desired kernel, then select "boot", then swipe to flash, then go back to the install screen and install your root method again, if you don't want to loose root and reboot.
A2. If it's a flashable ZIP, you can flash it together with a ROM update or separately. Go to the install page in TWRP, choose the kernel zip (or add it to the flash queue right after the ROM zip). Then add your root method to the queue if you don't want to loose root. Now swipe to flash, and then reboot.
Using the ROM:
Q. How do I enable software buttons?
A. Go to Aicp Extras/Navigation bar, and enable it.
Thanks.
The ROM should contain everything you need to enjoy Android Oreo.
How to flash:
(Again: Don't do it if you don't know it!)
1. Download the ROM and GApps and transfer them to your device.
2. Boot to recovery (TWRP recommended).
3. Wipe the System, Cache, Data and ART/Dalvik cache.
4. Flash the ROM Zipfile.
5. Flash the GApps (optional, needed for e.g. Google Playstore to work).
6. Flash the root solution of your choice (optional).
7. Reboot your device.
The ROM has GApps persistence in between dirty flashes, so you only have to flash them once!
The root solution should be flashed together with every OTA update (= ROM Update)
Currently Supported Root Solutions:
Magisk stable
Magisk versions higher than 14.0 doesn't require flash on every dirty flash depending on the device, some devices need you to flash it every time, unless your maintainer says otherwise it should be fine
KERNEL:
The kernel in this ROM follows LAOS source with custom additions.
PREREQUISITE FOR OTA:
To be able to flash using the built-in OTA app, TWRP recovery is needed.
You can still use the LAOS recovery and OTA app, but you will need to download the zip file and flash it manually from within your recovery. The Zipfile gets saved in the "aicp_ota" folder on your internal storage.
Please be sure that you are on the latest TWRP recovery. Keep in mind that this could also be an unofficial version![/CENTER]

Used for around 2-3 days
Problems -
LOW NETWORK...gets around 40% less than stock
Dual lte doesn't work, only after keeping jio on 2g network I can use Airtel 4g
Some notifications are completely black on black theme(ex TOI app)
I faced infinite bootloop sometimes( isn't a issue coz major oreo ROMs do that for my device idk why)
LOW speaker audio( used viper4android)
Average battery life..(around 7-8 sot)
Performance...great
No charging problems (faced 80ma @ 3.7v fixed charging speed on every oreo or pie ROMs but this one charged in around 1 hr 50 mins)
No overheating issue
And is there a problem with my device coz only pie ROMs give dual volte and tried every oreo rom which failed?

Volte is not working , any fix for volte ?
in the bottom of post it says Status as alpha, but in the mid of post at downloads section it lists version 14.0 as stable.
so is this stable or alpha? if alpha then is it enough to be a daily driver?
can't wait to test.
Review : And First Impression..
The User interface is damn smooth..
Its the very first build and is still in alpha stage hence there are bugs too..
I clean flashed the rom..
Issues i faced :-
Style in Display is not working (accent color and background color etc)
Status bar customization like AM PM is not working..
But the main prblm i faced was I was not able to hear voice in call and not even my voice was audible to the other..
But as i said its the very first build..
Hats off devs and i hope this will surely be one of the best daily drivers like aicp 13.1
Hello,
This rom is very smooth and battery friendly which is awesome
Bugs which I faced like
1. Buttons in settings didn't open
2. Speaker sound is not coming and video is not playing in MX player and many other players

Unfortunately not ready for daily usage. I dont blame, its just for others to know.
- No voice on phone calls
- Buttons menu dont open
Just two issues but those are killers for most.
I prefer AICP over AOSPExtended and I used it for Oreo - but not on Pie for now. Maybe next shot.
To fix that audio problem for now, switch on mono audio instead in settings. It will fix that audio probs:good:
I Connected My zuk To A Quick Charger And It was disconnecting quickly now it's not charging with my phone's original charger and isn't connecting to my pc too and when I charge it while it's switched off it's giving vibrations periodically anyone knows what's the problem?

We advise everyone to keep at least the latest or best working build on their device as a backup.
Maybe copy it to a cloud service or USB too.

Exact same issues fagyi's builds are having on the device side.
On the rom side, you tell... I put to post #3

3. Wipe the System, Cache, and Data (you might need to format the data partition!).
4. Flash the ROM Zipfile.
5. Flash the GApps (optional, needed for e.g. Google Playstore to work).
6. Reboot and set up your device, enable developer settings and in them OEM unlock/USB tethering.
7. Advanced Reboot menu is now controlled in AicpExtras. Enable it in power button options.
8. If you need to toggle Always On Display, add AOD tile to qs tiles, and toggle it.
9. Reboot back into TWRP recovery.
10. Flash the root solution of your choice (optional).
11. Reboot your device.
The procedure might vary from device to device and is a bit different on system updates!
The ROM has GApps persistence in between dirty flashes, so you only have to flash them once! This might differ on AvB Devices.
The root solution can be flashed together with every OTA update (= ROM Update).
Currently supported Root Solution:
Magisk stable
Magisk versions >= 17.2 don't usually require to be flashed on every dirty flash.
Depending on the device, you may need to flash it every time.
Unless your maintainer says otherwise, you should be fine.
PREREQUISITE FOR OTA ("Over-The-Air" Updates):
To be able to flash using the built-in OTA app, TWRP recovery is needed.
Please be sure that you are on the latest TWRP recovery. Keep in mind that this could also be an unofficial version!
On encrypted devices you will have to enter your PIN/password in TWRP before the process starts.

FAQ
FAQ:
Before using the ROM:
Q. Can I have an ETA for the next build?
A. Yes, just look in the OP to see if your device is built on a nightly or weekly schedule.
Q. Does this ROM support custom kernels officially?
A. No. You can still use them (if you find any), but discussion should go in the thread of the respective kernel.
A. You will need to use the version arm64/arm/whatever for SDK 28.
ISSUES
*** You may end up with an unusable phone IF you are in a non-english rom language AND you have enabled only PIE and disabled all other navigation options. This will not happen with all languages but few. . Seems to have affected Turkish and German language mostly. There are few more that might be affected, like mainland Chinese. Issue is fixed and will be available in March 14th WEEKLY. Until then, don't use PIE with any of these languages. Or if you plan to do it because you are curious, make a nandroid backup first.

Same guy same rom
I'm really glad to see renewed support for the HTC 10. After oreo dropped, I was sad as our device seemed dead from a developer stand point but with pie all you wonderful developers have breathed a new life in the 10. I'm so thankful to you all.
Wow. It's unbelievable that we have 3 official and 3 unofficial Pie ROMs for our phone. All of them are stable and can be used as daily drivers. Thank you all, our beloved devs. My phone now is still alive. So great!
New WEEKLY build available in OTA update has March ASB's builtin.

So do not use PIE for navigation until we fix it.
Labeled POST #3 as ISSUES.
EDIT 08 March: Seems to be specific to Turkish and German and maybe a couple more. Fixed. Will be available in next build.

With the re-brand of CM to LineageOS (LOS) we became LineageOS based with some tweaks from AOSP and then changed to be based on the "Ground Zero Open Source Project" (GZOSP) for Android Pie.
We changed again for Android Q with a base of AOSP repositories and some additions from LineageOS for device specific repositories.
If there are any bugs, either we will sort them out, if it concerns our code base. This ROM isn't LineageOS supported, so there is no need to report errors/bugs to them!!
Code:
#include <std_disclaimer.h>
/*
* Your warranty is now void.
*
* We are not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
* thermonuclear war or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please
* do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM
* before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications and if
* you point the finger at us for messing up your device, we will laugh at you. Hard & a lot.

As a senior high school student, I didn't have enough time to maintain it.
I built so many roms these days just becauce covid-19 is spreading in my country and I have to stay at home to avoid being infested.
AICP will be UNOFFICIALLY maintained by myself once or twice a month

-I am using F1v9.6_6.2.030.apk instead https://www.celsoazevedo.com/files/android/google-camera/dev-san1ty/
might not be the newest one, had a single crash that i can´t reproduce, everything was working so far
edit2:
didnt find the galileo satellites, accuracy was the same without it. for me not a big issue, just wanted to inform you
edit3:
edit2 might be fakenews, not finding galileo satellites might be kernel related. i am using a custom kernel
edit4:
mit be the satellites itself my neighbour told me that, they are not that reliable atm and there´s a website to check if they´re on or offline
Is there any changelog? In the web site I couldn't find the mi8. Thanks

Set selinux to permissive would fix anx camera, you can try to set it by youtself, but for a more stable experience ,I won't set it permissive when I 'm building this rom.

Fantastic rom man, thanks for your work! It's almost perfect, battery friend, smoothly.
New build available with faceunlock. Download link in first post. Thank you for maintaining AICP

The new build on 07/30/20 doesn't have face unlock?
Thank you for continuously updating the builds for this ROM. Has been rock solid stable for over 3 weeks now. Just saw and flashed today's build without issues. This ROM is by far the most stable, and full of customizations. Has been the most go to ROM on all of my devices from previous years to current. Would love to see this ROM go official, it is by far stable enough (I'd say the most stable custom ROM yet).
I only am missing face unlock, but not a necessity.
Much Appreciation!

Great battery life
Getting superior battery life, been running this for over month now. Nothing modified. Rooted, encrypted and using super live wallpapers . Almost 8 hours SoT with 26% left! Mostly monitoring stocks n trades all day. Wifi and LTE. No battery saving modes or tweaks were used, just normal modes.
Screenshots below.
Face Unlock Added back on 9-18-2020 build!
For those that run AICP, yesterday's build (Sept 18, 2020) has added back Face Unlock! Thanks to zhullyb for keeping the builds updated often and making this one of the best and most stable Custom ROMs for the dipper!
