I'm on cesium with the blackened 9.2 right now. I'm not in a position to fix things if it goes south until I get home, but will be trying it asap. I chickened out when my wife gave me the "don't break your phone again speech"... Lol

So is helix better or any advantages over schedutil? I tried to search for this variation and couldn't find anything on it. Trying now with helix and noop combo.

Not sure but when I tried it on two different occasions on this kernel the scrolling within apps were very choppy. I set it back to schedutil and its smooth. YMMV

If I remember correctly the power hal, which controls also boosting when scrolling, will only work with schedutil. Other Governors won’t be utilized properly. That’s most likely the reason why scrolling was choppy for you when not using schedutil.

New update kernel added new governor blu schedutil from op6 and other 2 goverbor ??

[KERNEL] HybridMix (5-16-14) back again!

===>INTRODUCTION<===
This is my personal kernel based off of ASKP. I cherry-picked a lot of custom commits from many big kernels. I'm new in development, so, any help whatsoever (commits, suggestions, logs, etc etc) would be greatly appreciated
releases will be as frequent as possible, as I'm gone for 7 hours of my day during weekdays.
****FEATURES****
using A.S.K.P as the base<- you get all the features of A.S.K.P+ more
linux kernel 3.101 WITH the Con kalivas patchset for improved performance
L3 cache overclock (116MHZ)
custom RAM OC setup (333MHZ/400MHZ/466MHZ)
gpu oc interface (307/384/512)
optimized CRC32 computing algorithem
optimized square root interger library
custom voltage setup, modified by me personally taking inspiration from the voltage's of other kernels, everything from the GPU voltage to the screen regulator has been tweaked
CPU overclock up to 1.7GHZ
multiple governors i have personally added (this is ALWAYS changing considering what jhonny/grarak/faux/bsmitty/Amperific/boype do to their governor,or what i personally decide to do)
some new IO schedulers have been added
EXFAT is added, 1.2.5 source from dorimanx
updated RWSEM to linux 3.14
numerous enhancements to SLUB including a update to the 3.3 version
MMC software updates/enhancements
GPU side enhancements
HUGEMEM setup (this is a arguement from me personally, the gnex is only a 720P phone, you cannot utilize 1080P with out screen,so even if this is a retarded and dirty hack,i want to use the extra available ram)
ALL kernel logging has been disabled for a increase in speed
Kernel SamePage merging has been updated to linux 3.6 standards with faux's check page patch for improved performance and efficiency
memory Compaction updates for better performance
modified screen colors
imsoyen's SmartReflex 1.5 tuning interface
updated thermal framework drivers from faux & omapzoom
updated android binder.c from omapzoom's 3.8 branch that bsmitty discovered
updated logger from poondog,linux 3.9
graphite and link time optimizations including -o3 and hard float point with NEON with the latest linaro 4,9.1 toolchain from christopher83,compiled with graphite ops on gpu code along with -o3
zcache, zsmalloc and zram updated to linux 3.11 from mpokang kernel with faux's setup for zram
many misc enhancements from AK kernel
many misc OMAP enhancements
the latest WIFI drivers WITH a working hotspot
a modified anykernel zip package that will install a new HOSTAPD binary for working wifi hotspot and new meda_profiles.xml to fully disable 108PTHIS KERNEL USES VERY HIGH CLOCK SPEEDS WITH VERY LOW VOLTAGES,I BUILD THIS KERNEL THROUGH A "PERSONAL" SETUP,IF YOU GET SOD'S/ FREEZES,PLEASE UP YOUR VOLTAGES ON "MPU" BY 25 UNTIL THEY STOP :3
IF YOU'RE GOING TO USE A HOTPLUG GOVERNOR, FOR ALL THAT IS HOLY DO NOT USE MULTICORE POWER SAVING WITH IT. THIS CAUSES ISSUES AND NO BUG REPORTS ARE ALLOWED IF YOU HAVE HOTPLUG WITH MCPS
BUILDS:http://patty.mbqdevelopment.com/Kernels/ASKP Remix/ <- the numbers are going to be in order, the bigger the better XD (thanks to mbq for the generous hosting site,or as i like to call him,"big brother" thanks man :good: )

Flashing it as I type
Will report soon, it's good to see new kernel from people in this gnex threads
Edit: got my first freeze, lol. Maybe the voltages are too low, I guess?
But I got a couple questions:
1. Did you intended to UV voltages, including IVA? I see it lower than DirtyV and Franco.
2. The frequency steps..... There's a lot of it, but is it correct? There are numerous voltages that are new to me lol like 460, 1480, 1560...
Maybe you could explain just a little bit lol
Edit2: pattyboi did you implemented early suspend on interactive? There's a slight lag when waking up the device
Btw there's pegasusq, too.
This is how it starts you are now entering the Linux twilight zone of the quest for the best kernel patches go get em @pattyboi:)

Thanks, bro! It looks nice. Do you maybe know how to add to this kernel 85MB Ram (to make SuperRAM version)?

sorry for the late reply bud,i fell asleep after getting that 2nd build up. the 460 is gonna be removed,as i said im still nooby and i didnt add it right :silly: the rest should be correct as i didnt touch any other one,the uv voltages were just burstlams slight uv on regulators,i havent touched anything with iva,mpu or anything else, ill probabaly bump them up a lil within the nest couple days still gotta wrap my head around how to properly do it lol. but thank you for testing man! & yeah the interactive early suspend i "think" is there,is 7 am so im not entirely sure,if its causing wake lag i might try and switch the interacitves or just remove early suspend, like i said its a big mess i gotta iron out
EDIT ,one more thing, did you disable eco mode? that might cause wake delay because it was for me

Take it easy bud, we're all here learning as well lol
Yeah I'm not using eco mode and intelli-plug, not liking the less-snappier feel lol.
You could take interactive from either bsmitty's or Franco's, I think they're making out the best interactive so far. :good:
Also, this kernel has GPU governor. Is it overclocked as default?
Btw, I'm suggesting to do some wrapping on your OP. Because your kernel has many features inside lol
Thanks!

Just flashed this kernel on Cloudyflex 2.
Changelog said that default gov is Interactive. but after first boot, Trickster shows it was OnDemand.
I've nothing set on-boot.
Is that normal?

I have the same problem, need use tweak tools change to Interactive.
sorry for the noob question so interactive governor is preferable than ondemand for battery life? im well aware its all depends with how you use your phone and what apps you installed but which governor do you guys think is best for battery life? not that i'm complaining with my battery life though :cyclops:

Best gov for battery live is powersave but performance go down. I prefer interactive because CPU faster change freq. and battery life is good.

[KERNEL][Kylessopen] FrankenKernel

FrankenKernelThis kernel is pieced from two beautiful kernels made by KlinkOnE and Codename13,hence the name Franken (shortend from Frankenstein)
I used Codename13's kernel_samsung_kylessopen as base ,and reused a huge number of KlinkOnE android_kernel_ba2x_2.0-1 commits, plus handfull of commits I think help.
This kernel is intended for Kylessopen devices, meaning its for S7560,S7560m,S7562,S7562L devices.
This kernel is compatible with CM11 and PAC-Rom 4.4.4
I will try to keep this kernel alive and running,
but to all users and devs,
please be aware that this is my first venture into "kernel-land" so some bugs are bound to show their ugly face.
DOWNLOAD LINK: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=745425885120730785*Change log
Kernel updated from 3.0.60 to 3.0.101
A lot of small fixes
If kernel breaks your phone dont blame me,I didnt force you to flash it.
Souce code to FrankenKernel is here:https://github.com/pavlepiramida/FrankenKernel/tree/master
FrankenKernel with GPU OC to 300Mhz
*This version has GPU set to 300MHz,and its compiled with gcc-4.4.3 like stock kernel is.
This gcc provides a bit better graphic performance, but is also a smidge worst when it comes to CPU performance.
Kernel features:
*3 I/O schedulers:
-Deadline
-Zen(default)
-CFQ
3 CPU governors:
-Ondemand
-Lulzacive
-Performance
GPU is clocked at default ~246MHz
Kernel block has been refreshed and updated a bit, ensuring a bit more optimal IO performance
Dynamic FSync feature
DDP Writeback
Latest kernel changelog:
*Disabled KSM
Most wouldnt agree with me on this, but the fact is that KSM is way too heavy on processor which also affects battery.
Kylessopen has enough memory,it doesnt need to squeeze every byte of ram at the cost of CPU performance, and in my opinion KSM isnt a vital function
*Changed few kernel flags
Just experimenting with flags, trying to find best one that can complement kernel even more
*Switch to a better gcc
@kengnatural and I spent a whole week testing and benchmarking different compiler for kernel, until we realized that sabermod-4.7 gcc brings the most out of our Kylessopen kernels. From now on using only SaberMod gcc.
Works on s7562 with charm

I couldn't get framebuffer to work, but there was improvement in BT ant USB drivers compared to stock and ElementalX kernels - I got PS3 controller to work without problems wired and over BT . Also this kernel seems little bit unstable as my phone did reboot when in standby without any heavy background tasks for no reason.

Unstable I ran it for days along with my testers and no RR yet..I think saying unstable is harsh but whatever .How bout a log?
Sent from my ONEPLUS A5000 using XDA-Developers Legacy app
I'm new in doing something more than just flashing random things. Where that log is located at? Also I switched back to ElementalX kernel, if I experience random reboots with that kernel - I'll let you know, may be something else is causing that.
So far so good with this kernel.
So what tweaks have you done to Interactive? Also what's good about cultivator? I've never heard of it before haha. Which would you suggest for best battery/performance balance
Can you explain the cultivation testing gov?
It's a gov I had on my op3 kernel ported from the 6p..At time it was an upstream kernel for 4.4 that is based off interactive that provides battery saving and a feature called fastlane..If u look in gov options u will see fastlane,u wanna set to 1 to turn on..Far as interactive I have edit most values to provide little snappier more aggressive jump on cores

Kernel update will be in few hours more upstream

Any plans for overclocking? Maybe you can be the first haha. Try with a 100mhz oc and see how that goes and then consider pushing it more.
So far I think I'll stick with this kernel as my daily driver since I haven't noticed any issues and you're communication is amazing. At least until there like 100 pages here haha
Lol I update alot and develop alot..For sure the kernel will get oc and it will get custom kernel..Also I'm the Dirty unicorns maintainer so soon

Switch to the cultivation governor and then go to governor options. Scroll down a little bit and set fastlane to 1. Then it will be enabled

I just spent alot of time on that so i prefer this thermal driver.
If you like Franco's work perhaps you might also like his hotplugging mechanism as an option ? Four cores when screen is on give me great performance and when underclocked or undervolted phone stays cool and battery is great! I miss this option sooo much on Sultan's ROM.
Will this work on RR sultanxda version

I thought so too. Maybe it is true when running CPU not underclocked because then it still jumps to max freqs despite there is no need for it. But when you cap your CPU to 1.9 GHz in Kernel Adiutor or sth it is whole other world. Performance is more consistent due to no hotplugging penalties and phone gets no hotter than usual because voltages below 2 GHz are much lower and load spreads nicely on all four cores which futher prevents frequency ramping.
Believe me, I was sceptic of it before too
Glad to hear you want to try it man! Thanks
Nice to see u're back with a kernel for Sultan's or Sultan based ROMs!

Less aggressive with ramping down cpu, frequencies, it isn't "better" it depends on your usage, it's more like to prefer it to sultan's
