No OS image now, please help! - Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite Questions & Answers

I tried to root my device, and I eventually I managed, but i missed the step to recover my android phone backup from google drive during the startup setup, so I found some tutorial and it seems to tell me erase the phone back to factory so that I can see the startup setup again.
Now the device only boots into TWRP, and I have downloaded two different stock image , V10.0.1.0 and V10.0.2.0, trying to install in recovery mode, so I follow instruction, wipe system before install.
but both of them giving me error, not opening the zip file.
Now I can not use my phone, how can I install a OS please?

Hello,
I think a solution is to use MiFlash and to restore your phone, you will loose all of your data, your recovery and magisk.
Download link : https://xiaomiflashtool.com/
- Boot your phone in Fastboot and connect it to your computer,
- Extract the stock rom to a folder normally you will obtain some files with a folder called images.
- In MiFlash select this folder.
- Click on refresh, if your phone is connected to your computer and in fastboot mode it will appear.
Now select clean all and click on flash button.
Your phone will reboot normally.
If it doesn't work tell me !
Pierre
If I helped you drop a thanks !

I have installed the USB driver, the qualcomm usb driver, and install those 5 drivers within MiFlash tool (google, nvidia, microsoft, microsoft, qualcomm), and i still get the same error.
is it because my phone has nothing but only the TWRP? no OS? so it can not be detected by the computer?

it works!!
But something quite strange, the machine is a bit slow, and i have typed the correct (for sure) password for my wifi a few times, and only the 7th or 8th try it connects.
and I dont seem to be able to install apps from google play, they all stuck in download pending.
Can I actually 'factory reset' the phone to the status when it was out of the box?

[GUIDE] Relock bootloader (Should work in all versions)

Guide updated!!!!!
If you wanna get back to stock ROM and relock bootloader + get OTAs working again, this is the right place!
DISCLAIMER: Relocking bootloader erases all your data/internal storage and (off course) remove TWRP/modules/root, so do a backup of all your data first. Also, I'm not responsible for any bricked devices (phones, SD Cards, etc). I tested it in my XT1955-1 and it worked fine, but we all know that errors might occur.
Finally, let's go to the steps.
Step 1 - Downloading necessary files
Download Android Platform Tools here and then extract it.
Install Motorola Drivers on your PC (download here).
Download the lastest firmware according to your variant/software channel here and extract it in the same folder you had extracted Android Platform Tools.
Download the "Lock Script" here, according to your android version and PC's OS.
For example: if your PC uses Windows as OS, and your phone is in android 10, download the "Lock-10q_windows.bat" file.
Or if you have a Linux distro on your PC and android 9 on your phone, download "Lock-9pie_linux.sh" file.
Place the file inside the platform-tools folder, where the ROM was extracted too.
Step 2 - Preparing your phone
Remove all your google account in device's settings and then go to Developer Options. Enable Android debugging and OEM unlocking (if you can't enable OEM unlocking, you may need to root your device first to get it avaible again (see Rooting thread)).
Power off your phone and put it fastboot mode. Connect it on PC using USB cable.
Step 3 - Installing Stock ROM and re-locking bootloader
Just double click on the Lock.bat/.sh file and it will reflash stock ROM and lock bootloader. Now all you have to do is wait till it finishes. This should take a few minutes to be done.
The phone will boot automatically after the last command is executed.
It seems to be a little hard, but it's easy. If you have any questions, let me know, I'll try to answer ASAP.
Very nice, it's really working! Thanks!

Yes, should work fine. Afaik, once you unlock your bootloader, your warranty is avoid, theoretically. But I guess you can send it to service center (if it's needed) with no problems. They don't always check if you have unlocked your bootloader or not.
Warning: Due to some changes in bootloader and people getting hard bricks in February security patch, i don't recommend to relock bootloader in that version, do it in December security patch instead!
Hello guys. I have Motorola Moto G7 Power (XT1955-4). I've tried to put in twrp and a rom, but when I rebooted my device it don't power on anymore. So I've searched many guides to repair. I've used "blankflash" and after many times I was finally power on my device and go in Fastboot Mode. But now there's another problem. When I connect with usb and open CMD and type "adb devices" appear:
LIST OF DEVICES ATTACHED
or
WAITING FOR DEVICES
I tried many things to fix it but nothing work. Now I've uninstalled everything on my pc, drivers too.
Maybe I've installed bad "blankflash"???
How can I fix my troubles?

If you're already in stock ROM with no modules and stuff installed on it, just skip this and jump to the next step. If you're not, then stay here.
Open CMD (command prompt) in the same folder you had extracted firmware and android platform tools.
Shift+right click and then "Open command window here" or just type CMD in the folder path bar at the top in windows explorer. Run this commands all at once in CMD:
Once it is done, DON'T power on your phone, just leave it as it is and let's go to the last step.
Step 4 - Relocking Bootoader
In cmd, run this commands all at once
Done! The phone will boot automatically after the last command is executed.

Problem with Fastboot reboot and Can't install new firmware

Hello guys, i have a mi 10t pro, today try after unlock devices 7 days to flashed and downgrade because my battery drain is significative, i had 12.5.1 eea firmware and try to downgrade to 12.0.19, but now phone is in continus reboot in to fastboot, i try to flash with last miflash tool, but after 2sec is tell me that firmware upgrade is complete and now i can't start my smartphone. i can try to flash last rom fastboot 12.5.1 but without result. How i can resolve this problem? thanks in advance
When trying to do any major change like a downgrade, you must factory reset. MiFlash should have done that for you, but I guess there's a chance it didn't.
To do a factory reset from Fastboot you can use a compatible version of TWRP and just boot into it (not installing it).
Eg. fastboot boot TWRP_apollo_3.5.0_10-beta_1_whyle.img
From within TWRP you can then do a factory reset and see if it'll boot.
If it still boots into fastboot then you have the option of an alternative ROM. Xiaomi.eu provides a debloated version of the Chinese MIUI ROM. I'm running its latest 12.6 version and it has no problems with battery drain. https://xiaomi.eu/community/threads/21-6-23.61942/

Thanks i can try any solution. i install trought cmd fastboot comand twrp image file and after try to reset it? help me if you have other solution to I was hoping there was a way to bring it back to a stock firmware or a recovery firmware. I tried to flash all.bat inside firmware 12.5.1 my last firmware, proceeded it's fine and complete but after install my phone reboot continuos after logo. as if it didn't have a firmware installed.
P.s. Explain to me the procedure to start twrp without installing it step by step. Thanks so much ^^
To use TWRP to factory reset, first find a compatible TWRP. I used the latest version from:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...r-mi-10t-mi-10t-pro-redmi-k30s-ultra.4187427/
which was TWRP_apollo_3.5.0_10-beta_1_whyle.img
Boot into download mode
Then type this exactly (or change to a different file name if you're using a different version of TWRP):
fastboot boot TWRP_apollo_3.5.0_10-beta_1_whyle.img
Once TWRP starts up, go into Advanced, Wipe.
Tick
- data
- cache
- dalvik (dalvik cache)
and select to wipe it.
Reboot system.
That should leave you with no account set up and enable you to boot and setup from scratch in most cases.

Did you execute the code given to you before you flash it?
In Mi-flash, click Driver, then install.
After it's done, reboot your PC.
Then do the
Code:
fastboot reboot bootloader
command.
The flashing process should be more than 500 seconds if it's done correctly.
The fastboot ROM should be extracted, not using directly the tgz file.
Rename the extracted folder name short, like "1", and put in C:/ drive.

It seems the ROM and your device is not matching, so it don't flash.
First confirm what your phone model is. The model should be written on the box came with the phone.
Install this program:
XiaomiADBFastbootTools (Java)
https://github.com/Szaki/XiaomiADBFastbootTools
It will need java SE, follow the FAQ guide in that github to use the program.
It should show you what phone you have.

Hi there, probably found the answer. It can be because of your PC CPU.
Read here:

Don't know what i am doing wrong, i opened the zip files manually looking for the boot.img file but i cant seem to find it in any of the Firmwares i download from XiaomiFirmwareUpdater.
Also tried downloading the rom file and extracting the contents using the xiaomi-flashable-firmware-creator, but no luck with that either, throws some permission error at extracting the payload.bin
what can i do from here??
thanks in advance
Easy peasy
Steps
Download Adb and fastboot tool.
Or just download TWRP image and start CMD from there "the folder containing the twrp img" (in destination bar type cmd and press Enter) /the drivers should be installed and working properly ofc.
1- set phone in fastboot mode then plug it in to PC
2- Type: fastboot boot twrp.img (twrp here is the img file)
Then the phone will boot into twrp.
The phone will be shown in PC. Paste Magisk in the phone. Then go back and flash it using TWRP. Then reboot to system. And you're all done.

You're doing something wrong then.
Check all drivers are set up properly. Try flashing twrp then boot to it using Volume UP + Power button.
Make sure you download Nebrassy's twrp 3.5.10
Managed to do it, not with twrp tho, the way i intended originally, i found this payload extractor, went on miui and download latest package (on the phone), after that sent the file to pc and extracted the contents to the payload extractor tool, follow the tool's guide and Tadaaaa! got yoursef a boot.img.
after that was simple and follow the rest of the NaldoTech guide, which is sending the boot.img to phone, open magisk manager, click install, select the boot image to pach, wait couple seconds and done. After that just copy the magisk patched boot image to pc and turn off your phone, enter fastboot, and flash the boot.img in boot_a and boot_b.
and you are done boot the phone and open magisk app to see the installed confirmation

Which version do you need?
Is this international version I should get to use in USA on T-Mobile to root the same way as you?
Amazon F3
I'm using Europe version currently on Global 12.5.6.0 (RKHEUXM)

OnePlus 7T boot error after Android F.15 update

Hello, I downloaded and installed android beta update https://gauss-componentotacostmanua...22/08/03/b5192ec34f094ad9bb76e5554cd69f89.zip from https://www.xda-developers.com/oneplus-7-7t-pro-android-12-oxygenos-12-open-beta-2/amp/ and since then the device is just booting in loops and not going ahead. I get the boot reason error as attached. The boot logo has also changed.
My device did not had developer module enabled nor had I backed up any data from my mobile before installing the update.
I desperately want to recover data from my phone before formatting it. Please assist. Thanks a lot.

Take phone to repair shop to download data via adb commands using laptop
Also try switching slots in fastboot mode: "fastboot set_active other" and then "fastboot reboot"

I have ADB utilities on my laptop. I connect my device to my laptop via USB cable and then do "adb devices" on the command prompt. It shows no devices. Perhaps this happens because my device was not rooted? Is there any other way I can access files on my device using adb?

The device needs to be booted successfully to enable USB debugging. Booting is the fundamental problem. How can I enable USB debugging without booting the device?

Phone needs to be off. Try holding down vol. Down button, power button til it reboots into bootloader mode while plugged into usb-c to USB-a cable to laptop. Then type "fastboot devices" on laptop while changed into adb subdirectory with "command C:/ prompt"

You shouldn't mess with oos12 with locked bootloader as it can lose data
You could try to manually flash each file using fastboot (fastboot devices must show a number so install correct OnePlus and adb drivers for windows 10) --use payload dumper to extract all files from payload.bin from Indian op7t rollback zip below. Just don't do "fastboot -w" as that will format your data

Thank you. I have just started downloading this file (2.6 GB) on my laptop. Yes I am very keen to save my data before formatting. Please can you guide on the next steps to do after the download completes?
I use Windows 7. Is there a link to install correct OnePlus and adb drivers in Windows 7?

I think this is getting closer. I managed to install drivers as in the attached. Please take a look. 3 out of 4 have yellow triangles not sure if that means any issue. The 4th one appears only when I connect the device to laptop via a cable.

OK. I still tried on Windows 7 and I got the attached. If I manage to change the slot from a to b using "https://www.droidwin.com/fix-failed-remote-slot-change-is-not-allowed-in-lock-state/", then will I loose any data? Again, I'm very keen to retrieve my data.

All you can do is keep repeating reboot to recovery, normal reboot, reboot to bootloader, reboot to recovery, normal reboot, while praying and hoping that your phone boots up.

Question Stuck in bootloop Xiaomi 11T

Hello,
I tried to install a GSI rom on my phone, but I encountered a lot of problems, I couldn't erase the system because it said "system" partition was not found. So I tried many things like editing the partitions. But now, my phone is stuck in bootloop, and I can't enter recovery mode or fastboot mode.
Please help :/

Hi!
I struggled with this for a while as well but I found what works for me.
first, make sure you have the proper drivers installed ( just google MTK drivers and you'll find plenty of links for auto-installers ).
you gotta bypass the auth and flash with sp flash tool.
for the bypass:
I use MTK META Utility v75 ( again, google and you'll find it ).
click "disable Auth", then plug in your phone while holding volume up button. If it doesn't disable the BRom protection, you gotta use libusb to install the device filter.
Once the auth is disabled, use sp flash tool to flash the stock firmware.
first, in options, click connections, select the right comport.
in format, click the "format all except bootloader". VERY IMPORTANT YOU CLICK THIS.
next in download select the download agent and scatter file ( found inside the fastboot stock rom folder ).
Check everything EXCEPT PRELOADER and click download

if you do the whole bypass thingy it's gonna skip certain boot-checks which causes the loop, putting it in a different mode. from there, sp flash tool can access the device.
you can also just hold down the volume up button and then plug in the usb, 9/10 the bypass utillity will catch the BRom

alright I'm guessing you'll first need to add the device filter for the port.
download libusb, run it and click add filter. while you have the phone in bypass mode, you should see a mediatek device in the list. add that one.
and yeah. but you can just download it from mi.com!

Soo... libusb wasn't working, but I figured out that I have like one minute to flash, during this time, it recognizes the com port etc...
First, it says "lib da not match" in download-agent, then in scatter-loading file it says "the scatter file contains an unsupported version"...

Hey,
My friend is trying to follow your reply in order to get her phone out of bootloop.
Not sure if you are aware but if you google for "MTK META Utility v75" as you instruct people to do... you get a wall of spam uploads which are zip files with passwords on... which gives the impression that basically every spammer wanting to get a virus onto your computer, or youtuber wanting to force you to watch their videos, is uploading crap marked as "MTK META Utility".
Perhaps you could actually provide links to trustworthy software or make a topic with a proper guide for people to follow, instead of just a reply to someone's question?
