Ram management issues on Nokia 5.1+ pie - Nokia X5 (Nokia 5.1 Plus) Questions & Answers

Guys is anyone else facing the ram management issue on the Nokia 5.1+ after pie update? My phone is not even able to keep 2 apps in the background which is really annoying. Please confirm if anyone else is facing the issue or is it only me

You need to look at here and run adb command to uninstall the app killer. This app killer is not the Android system one and will keep killing your apps.

Code:
adb shell pm uninstall --user 0 com.evenwell.powersaving.g3

[Q] Automatically Running Process / Programs

Hello All,
i think this topic opened too many times. but i read all of them , but there is nothing a solution.
What I want;
If i "KILL" any process, i want really KILL !
But when i kill the any process ( any app, or any process) just a few minutes ago, same process start again.
Google sync , exchange, facebook etc. and some third party game, like sky warrior, bunny shooter etc
then , my Free Ram about 50-60 Mb . device is slow down, sometimes not responding.
There is any way to stop these process and never start again automatically ?
For example, i will never use Google maps services, how can i stop this and it will never work again ?
thanks a lot
try V6 supercharhger from dev section..
you will need to be rooted for doing this, but this will solve your problem.
just make sure when you instal it take (agressive option) to kill any aplication automaticly when is runed but not used by you.

Totally agreeing.
I'm using the V6 Supercharger with aggressive 1 settings and I always have about 150 MB free RAM.

If you completely want to remove some system applications, you also have to be rooted and you can remove apps from /system/app.
What is the best setting for v6 currently im using balanced 3. For me its okay but still a few insignificant lags here and there
Sent from my LT18i using Tapatalk
i use balance also...
for multi tasking balance is best...
if you do not use multitasking that aggressive is best for you.
---------- Post added at 12:44 PM ---------- Previous post was at 12:43 PM ----------
balanced is for multitasking..
if you are not so much multitasking, wants some more ram, and less lag
use aggressive one.
thank you all for all replies/suggestions
Is "V6 supercharhger" application or ROM ?
and, 2 little questions

I don't really understand your question, but I think you're asking about unrooting. And yes, it's possible.

Well have you tried my small apps then? Seems like you haven't tried Once you try my small apps, you'll think otherwise But nonetheless, even my app can be accessed from Normal Launcher so it shouldn't be a hassle either way..

You can also remove it by executing the following commands in ADB shell:
Code:
pm block com.sony.smallapp.app.widget
pm block com.sony.smallapp.launcher
This should even work on non-rooted devices.
Works perfect on dual sim D6633. Tks so much!
Just removed the small apps n launcher, looks so much better than it did stock never used them I don't think

If you got Titanium Backup just delete/freeze every app beginning with "SmallApp...", reboot, done. Works for both KK and Lollipop.
No chance to remove it without root though. Why not root with locked bootloader? I see no disadvantages in that.

Ah really? , sorry about it then. i just did fine with that adb command. And also u should warn the bug that if u use other launcher u cant use full screen gesture to home any more. Thanks for the guide.
I have European version so I don't know if this way it's impossible, but can't you install alternative launcher and then freeze the stock one with titanium backup (or similar app)?

Cool, Thank you sharing.
Does it need to be activated?
Doesn't seem to allow data and cache clearing or am I mistaken?
Appears to be compatible with Pie as well.
The data blocking is a nice feature.
A backup PD is always good to have as time has proven:laugh:

Makes sense that all apps wouldn't be visible on Android 11 for this particular phone.
Something slightly separate, but I had an Android 11 Pixel 3XL over a year ago, and the file managers still worked normally. On this phone, however, since upgrading to the Android 11 Beta, the file managers (I've already tried three different ones) don't work at all when you go to the non-root required drive section that stores your non-system applications (stuff you got from the Play Store). It just shows that every single folder aside from the download folder is empty now on every file manager... So something is most definitely wrong with their current hard drive storage/access on Android 11 - and that could also possibly be why certain apps aren't showing up in the package disabler.
By the way, we have Android 11 Beta4 dropping on this Tuesday (12AM EST), so the official release will probably be around Christmas time (exactly four weeks after beta 4 releases). So we'll see if either of these updates fix this goofy issue.

Tried installing it on my 10+ running on Pie.
Install ok but it wanted a login created to do -anything-
So I did but it was glitchy. Even after I created an account it didn't want to login.
Grrrrr...
I have a working PD so for now I don't need to muck with this...
Got tired of saying kind, nurturing things to it, and kicked it out:laugh:
On Beta, it works amazingly. But it is missing a few system apps like calculator and such but im guessing thats because of beta. Otherwise amazing.
This app is amazing
Just disabled over 50 useless system apps
My phone is flying now ? ?
Everything is way faster even fingerprints and face unlock
Thanks soo much

Question OxygenOS 12.1 AlwaysOnDisplay&HorizonLight APK broken

Good day! Can someone please share original AlwaysOnDisplay (AOD.apk) &HorizonLight APK from OxygenOS 12.1 Android 12 DN2103_11_C_01?
Unfortunately, i installed custom APK's from apkmirror and broke my AOD&HorizonLight, as a result notification icons on AOD does not show at all, i cant choose canvas and horizonlight is not working too.
I dont want to make full backup, hard reset and re-flash my device, that's too much time consuming and risky.
I would really appreciate if someone can help to fix AOD and Horizonlight issue without loosing my data and settings.
Thanks!
You can uninstall the update from the apps.

Thanks, this fixed my AOD, but not HorizonLight! What is the name for HorizonLight apk, i probably need to uninstall updates too?
when you have the apk what you have installed on the phone internal store click install it than you see the name from the app what will be update
and than you can search the app unter all apps and uninstall the update
maybe is it the personalisations apk (com.oplus.uxdesingn)?
