[Q] headset with volume control?

Hello,
I'm planning to buy a good headset (with in-ear buds) like the ones from the brands Klipsch and Ultimate Ears.
They are designed for iphone/ipod with 3 buttons, 1 for play/pause, and 2 for volume up/down.
Those volume buttons don't work on Android, and I would like to know if there is a way (an app maybe) to make them work instead of having all the functions on a single button (quadruple press is not for me ).
Or maybe could you recommend ear-buds (with very good audio quality) with volume controls that will work on my Galaxy S2?
Thanks in advance.

Headphones with volume control

Hello to everybody,
I'm searching for some headphones/earphones that have 1 or 3 buttons, microphone and also have a volume control option. I don't want necessaries to have buttons for volume. A wheel (like the one on most PC headphones is also good).
I've tried a lot of headphone that come with various phones but no success.
Recently I've found something interesting and here is where I need some help. Samsung innov8 has an adaptor which has a 3.5 mm connector at one end and at the other end a female 3.5 mm adaptor, a microphone, a button and also a volume wheel. The volume works perfectly (because is analogical - it does't change the volume in phone) but the sound is heard ok only when the button is pressed. Also the button doesn't do anything.
Does anyone, with soldering experience, know how to adapt this in order to work with Galaxy Nexus?
This is the closest thing I've found until now to headset with mic/volume/button. Also the earphones sound really great.
Here is a link to a review of the adaptor:

Hi.
Look at pinoutsguide dot com the pinous of 4 pins stereo jack of Galaxy SII I9100 and Galaxy S I9000. (I can't post links here)
So I opened the Samsung AAEP433JBE mic/volume box and just changed the G and OT wires position. Now it is working perfectly in my Galaxy Nexus (I9250)

Any headphone with control works for me, I'm actually with a Focal Spirit One, and everything works (Microphone, Play/Pause, Next, Previous) except Volume Control, this is the 4th pin in a 3.5" Jack, and only for iPhone and SGS II as said upper. Nexus only have 3.
It's maybe a software problem :/
You can install JAYS Headset Control app and turn up and down with just one button.

Iphone headset on DHD

Hi!
Just wondering if there's a work-around to get the remote on a Iphone headset to work on a DHD?
The mic, both earbuds and the middle button is working but not the volume control/skip tracks buttons.
I'm aware that it's a hardware issue, but do you know if there's an adapter I could use to get all the buttons working?
BTW it's regarding the Logitech Ultimate Ears 500vi that I just purchased. I've been using beats before but they suck donkey balls.
Regards

Headphones with remote (wired headset)

For those that want to replace the stock headphones, but can't find any with remote buttons that still work (I tried a whole bunch), the Xiaomi Pistons 2 work fantastic (play/pause, volume buttons and mic all work), and sound great to boot (relatively, for the price, etc.).
Maybe you can try this one too :

[Q] Do Apple EarPods mic and remote workers with the Z3?

I've been trying to find the best non in-ear (ear canal) earbud option for the Z3 and given price and performance it would seem that Apple may offer the best sound quality that also has a microphone and a remote control option. (Sennheiser doesn't appear to make an earbud option with full remote and mic, just remote volume.)
Can anyone confirm whether Apples mic and remote both work with the Z3? How is the sound quality?
Apple earphones, or any earphone designed for iOS for that matter, only "support" the middle button to control pause / skip tracks or answering calls. The microphone works too.
The two volume buttons are not supported by any Android phone and are without function.
The only supported Android headsets with 3 buttons that I know of are HTC E240 and E242, but they are in-ear.
Another solution would be a bluetooth earphones.
