Can't change my device under My Details - About xda-developers.com

So I've noticed my device under My Devices is still the Note 4, and wanted to change it to my current phone.
However, when clicking on " - " next to Note 4, it just takes me to the forums. When starting to write the name of the phone nothing shows up, and just writing the name of my new phone doesn't register.
Any advice?
Thanks

Thanks, I can confirm this issue.
@svetius, @bitpushr, could you please look into this?

@Dat Noob
You can check again, I have tested and I've noticed it has been fixed! :highfive:

Yeah looks like it has been fixed. I was facing the same issue for a while but it's gone for me now.

Forgot to reply. Yes, it was fixed for me as well.
Thanks!

Are you talking about Website settings > Optional Information > Devices (the topic of this thread)... or maybe an issue regarding XDA Labs app settings? If it's the latter, I suggest you to read THIS and THIS and THIS.
Could you please post screenshots regarding your issue?
On my end, adding or removing devices from the list of the website settings works fine, see my screenshots.

[Q] Is this spam or a virus?

or something else?
I regularly (say weekly) get what appears to be a message on my phone which looks like this:-
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
If I open it, nothing happens for a while then it tries to install some software. I always hit cancel at this point but have noticed that the logo in the top left varies.
Can anyone tell me what this is?
Thanks
Nick

No Chinese or Japanese app.
Sorry, where should it be?
Thanks
It shd be in themes and app section
Sent from my Wildfire S A510e using xda app-developers app
Actually in Q&A.
Did you recently install any app, it is being caused by an alp that has push ad capability. Try remembering which app you installed and got these right after. You could also screenshot your apps list so we can help search that app for you.

Thanks everybody. Now I know what it is, I can deal with it. Normal push-ad detection apps don't recognise it so I've installed aLogcat so I can see what's going on. Will post back if successful. Or not!

Project Fi user cp icon broken?

I finally got around to changing my User CP to reflect Project Fi as my provider.
Is it just me or is the image broken?
You'll see the broken image to the left of this post, under my dead Android image, under where it says "Senior Member".
This is a question but XDA won't let me post it as a question.
Am I in the wrong subforum to ask about forum issues?
I've uploaded the missing logo, thank you for reporting!

Hmm,
I toggled from USA - Project Fi to USA - AT&T.
Verified AT&T icon shows up.
Then I toggled back to USA - Project Fi.
But the icon is still broken.
Is it showing up for you?
Thank you for helping.
It does show up for me now. You may need to force a refresh to download it, if the 404 is saved in your cache. See attachment.

Okay, I see what's happening.
It does work on the newer XDA themes.
But not the older themes.
I use XDA 2010 theme as it's my favorite.
It doesn't work on any theme older than "XDA 2015".
No worries though. Just wanted to give ya'll a heads up. :good:

BOOM!
It's now working on legacy XDA themes. Thank you!

Media share not working correctly

I have an S20 Ultra on T-Mobile, and the media share function acts like it has no memory. The quick select doesn't work, it's like I'm sharing for the first time every time so I have to choose the app and recipient. I've already cleared the cache for quick share and made sure direct share is turned on. Any idea if there's any way to make it remember the apps and contacts, or if there's any settings I need to change to make it work like it did on my Pixel 2 XL?

I had a somewhat similar problem. In my case, I had only 2-3 contacts that never got updated with the recent people I was interacting with.
What helped is to go into the album app and enabling access to contacts (if I remember correctly). After that the quick sharing part started working again..

Do you mean gallery app? I tried that, and it didn't seem to help.
Got a security patch a day or two ago, and as of today the share option was working again. Mysterious ways.
Coming from S10+ this is really frustrating. Share menu is a mess and in any app that I want to share photos it never remembers my top contacts or even top apps.

Please help - How to find out if someone has opened my phone

Hey there everyone,
I have snooping wife issues.
I need to know if there is anyway I can see if my wife has opened my phone. It's Samsung A70 running Android 10.
Are there any logs that show what time my phone was opened.
She probably knows my password.
Just wanted to know.
Thanks.
Help and cool comments are highly appreciated please.

Lol. Root cause analysis provided to prevent future failures...
This is what I did.
I found out my "sleep timings" from Samsung Health located in setup and noted my sleep time from there.
Then I collated it with "Samsung Digital Well-being" to see if any of the messaging app was operated while I was sleeping.
It was not.
So I'm going to change the login pin and password.
Let the kids grow.
I'll be living alone when they move out.
Maybe try using the goodlock module "nice catch" by samsung, it stores data about notifications by apps and sudden wakeup of phone.
If goodlock is not available in your country try other alternatives like nicelock from playstore or any other app that provides same functionality.

Find My Phone - How to Deactivate the notification

I own the Note 10+ phone since November 2019 and only today it started displaying notifications from app: Find My Phone.
According to information displayed i am not able to deactivate these notifcations, but is ity really impossible?
My phone is model N9750F and it is not rooted.
Any hint?
Many Thanks
P.S. Sorry if this issue has already been postes before, but with new layout of XDA Forum I fid not find the search option within the forum :-(

I was having the same issue, and found an interesting article that might be the solution:
[Updated] Samsung Offline finding (Find My Mobile) notifications bothering users
Samsung users are being bombarded with notifications from Find My Mobile asking them to turn on Offline finding, but there's a workaround.
