[New Firmware] 47.2.A.6.30 [G8441] (24 January 2018) - Sony Xperia XZ1 Compact Guides, News, & Discussion

Hi guys - please discuss your findings.

I only found out that it is January security patch.
No other visible changes.

Anyone know if you can mix and match this version with the US to get the working fingerprint sensor?

I noticed that Custom US now has pie software! So I took the OEM.sin file from Custom US and put it in Custom DE Pie firmware. New Flasher. Profit! Pie with working fingerprint sensor and VoLTE Wifi calling on Tmobile!

Is there any chance to make prerooted tft latest software? you know - latest software, root without unlocking bootloader. Thanks!

I'm running Xperia™ XZ1 Compact (G8441) Customized BLX 1310-8075 version 47.2.A.2.33 and the over-the-air updater as well as Xperia PC companion tells me that my phone is up-to-date while https://xpericheck.com/cda/1310-8075 tells me that build 47.2.A.6.30 is available.
Hasn't Sony released this one yet for the OTA update?

Moto z play back to stock with retail rom is possible?

Hello,
I'm considering going back to the stock ROM in my moto z play XT1635-02 retla1st but I would like to know if I would have a problem installing the RETAIL version when receiving OTA's or some other problem.
I currently have the bootloader unlocked and a compilation that is not the official one but I want to remove the root and receive the updates without any inconvenience.
best regards

I do not know if you can downgrade from a 7.1 ROM to a 6.x Stock via RSD and have your phone usable. With some phones if you downgrade to MM you brick it.
If it survives, you would then need to find a way to lock the bootloader.
In the same Android versión it's possible install a retail ROM?

I believe if your phone (bootloaders) is 7.x you can RSD 7.x and if phone is 6.x you can RSD 6.x .

I used this guide today, it worked without any problems. I went from rooted 7.1.1 stock september security patch to 7.1.1 stock november security patch with locked bootloader. OTA december security patch worked as well. I even unlocked the bootloader again and am now rooted with magisk safety net passing

[OTA] NPN25.137-35 - April 2018

Hello all,
Have an unlocked rooted Moto G5 Plus here on T-Mobile currently running stock NPN25.137-33 (Nougat 7.0 - January 1, 2018 security patch) and I just received this update notification for a VoLTE fix named NPN25.137-35. It's relatively small (~48mb) , here's hoping one of the more experienced devs can incorporate this into their Nougat ROM's moving forward and also hopefully make a TWRP flashable zip for those of us who just want to upgrade their stock rooted roms.
Cheers!
Download link (Drive)
My system info (pre-patch, of course):
If I flash this I will get my IMEI back or no? I didn't understand sir????
A little confused by this as well, your screenshot is showing January 2017 security patch and your ota is an old one. Are you just now getting this update through TMobile? Glad I bought the unlocked version if that's the case

Just wanted to contribute in case this OTA wasn't already out there (couldn't find it in my searches). I know that the current stock ROM version is 93-4 with the March security patch being pushed out to some regions...wanted to share the patch in case it wasn't pushed to other carrier versions so that it could help add robustness to existing Nougat ROMS, especially for VoLTE TMO users.
Wait.. this is a very old update.. the newer updates have NPNS instead of NPN
Edit: just read your comment, ignore this

Is this ROM official? OPS72.76-12-25

Hi XDA, I received an open-box Z2 Play from a China seller.
Is this ROM official: OPS72.76-12-25?
Software channel: retcn
Concerned of keyloggers and security OTA updates (currently on 1 June 2018).
Thank you!

Technically, Yeah it is Official Stock ROM!
Make sure to check if the boot-loader is locked and if your device is certified!
***You do have OTA Updates right? the latest one is of October!***

Thanks for your reply.
I performed a factory reset and Google Play (with Play Protect) remains installed. Is that what you mean by "certified"? However I am wondering why this Chinese model (retcn) has Google Play in the first place.
The OTA scan in tsettings menu says my June 2018 security patch is up to date. Is my Chinese "software channel" to blame?

[GUIDE] How to install early Android Pie build on Nokia 8 Sirocco

Currently, there's no way to roll back to Android 8.1 for Nokia 8 Sirocco by yourself, so use these packages at your own risk.
It will be better if you're using prototype device or a retail device with unlocked bootloader.
To install it, you need to ensure your phone is running either A1N-310M-0-00WW-B01/A1N-310N-0-00WW-B01 (Global) or A1N-311N-0-00CN-B01/A1N-311O-0-00CN-B01 (China). Build newer than that can't install following packages.

Method is simple:
1. Download all of the packages provided in here:
If you're using Global Firmware (A1N-310*-0-00WW-B0*): https://www.androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=288061
If you're using China Firmware (A1N-311*-0-00CN-B0*): https://www.androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=288062
2. Place them in the root directory of internal storage.
3. Dial *#*#874#*#* to update and reboot, until no more packages to install.
That's it.
FAQ:
Q1: How to unlock the bootloader of Nokia 8 Sirocco?
A1: Sorry this can't be mentioned here, because it requires payment that forbidden here.
Q2: When will you unlock Nokia X7 / Nokia 8.1?
A2: I don't know!
Q3: When will you get Nokia 9 Penta Camera Phone?
A3: I don't know, don't ask.
Q4: Can I still receive OTA update from this early Pie build?
A4: Probably not, unless HMD decided to choose this build for releasing. If newer packages are released, I'll update them in these links.

how to install this : A1N-412A-0-00WW-B01-4120-0-00WW-B03-update.zip
Will try this shortly and report back on adaptive battery and camera.
Both were missing in the December OTA leak.
Camera updated, app version 91.9.1150.20. Digital wellbeing and adaptive battery included.
We're looking a lot closer to final now.
It works fine. Only one file was needed.

The two small files are updates, the final update being 412A, which includes the January security patch.
They have to be sideloaded though from recovery.
