Try factory resetting it as I guess its only you who is facing it.

While focusing on something, check upper right hand corner.

AI scene detection is automatic buddy. You dont get to turn it on or off. So basically if you point your camera at cats, it detects it(and shows in upper right hand corner), same is for food, dogs, scenes, portraits, etc

Guys I have rooted my phone and installed TWRP...
Will I face any problem while updating ? Will the phone get encrypted again ? Is there a way to perform the update without wiping the whole system all over again ?

I've experienced it before..theres no problem updating if u have twrp/custom recovery or rooted. ..no need to wipe just flash an update ..

Thanks.... I tried updating it... But when I click on update button, it starts installing, but just reboots to the recovery, without updating at all...
Maybe the recovery is at fault here... I am using PBRP official recovery
Maybe if I flash the stock recovery first, it will update ?
Can you or anyone else post a link to the original stock recovery ??

Sad thing is that it is not resolved even after Factory Reset.
So we have to wait for the next update with this terrible looking Status Bar!

the official update and the LED flash

hi!
I entered at software update and my phone said that there is an available update and i think that's the update to kitkat. Now comes my question:if i update it i will have the same problems like people who flash it?
i mean if i update it "legit" i will not have that sort of problems like the LED flash which is not working for those people or other bugs?
Thanks!

If you are talking about an official stock, I don't see how it would be different between OTA update and KDZ flashing... Features and bugs should be the same, IMO. Cooked ROMs are a different story... I have not tried an official update, so I can't comment on the LED notification bug. Well, actually, I did an OTA update to KK, but didn't have a chance to play with it at all, since I reflashed it with another ROM right away. I am currently on Sling 2.2.2, and my LED notification is working (calls, emails, SMS).
In official KK the LED is not working for other apps like whatsup, facebook notification etc.

After flashing stock kdz u have to hard reset.
I have not updated myself yet, but I have read in a spanish forum you have to go into settings of those applications to explicity set the notification light to green, as if there is other colors, it will not work.
Maybe others here can verify it this tip is true.

EMUI 5 (Nougat) B320 via Firmware Finder!

Hey guys!
I am Vivek from Ahmedabad, India. I am writing this just to let you all know about my recent experience with FF!
I bought my 6X (BLN-L22) like 2 months back and couldnt get any official ota even after waiting this long. I tried to contact the EMUI admin in Facebook and they told me that its being pushed to individual devices gradually. Now as promising as it sounds, how long is someone supposed to wait right?
Now, I came across an ocean of unfavorable and negative reviews about FF here in XDA and also in other websites. A lot of people complained about disappearance of updater and app twin along with other apps. While others complained of buggy performance or some other issues with the camera. But what I later found out was that people were trying to jump from an old release to the latest one without patching the previous releases of the full OTA in FF!
Some people had issues while jumping from 301 to 320 and some from 310 to 320. And some had twrp installed so its obv to face random issues anyway. Well, I was in B132 all this time and I didnt know what to patch first. But I read somewhere that my release and B320 were stables ones compared to others. So I backed up every single thing from my phone and took the risk only to see if all the hype about FF was true or not...
And to my surprise, it actually worked!! I simply flashed my phone to B320 from B132 using the proxy method and it all happened within an hour. I am on Nougat (EMUI 5) now and its super smooth. I have all the new features like App twin and box based push notifications. I even have the updater file which many complained of vanishing after flashing. It all worked just fine!
I was given a little inspiration by a guy named Gopi here for trying out the FF after all those crazy reviews. He said "You never know unless you try". And I went for it! haha!
So go ahead folks! B320 through FF is what you need if you dont wish to wait too much for the OTA. Special thanks to the developers of FF for this!
Good luck! :good:
Peace.
I'm legit jealous . Cause in my device (BLL-L22) there is still no full nougat update in it (with the app twin etc). Just wish huawei release it soon

So previously if we update manually everyone is facing only minor issues. But the main which some have reported is if you factory reset after the update then then are complaining about missing updater in setting and also some apps like calculator. So I want to know if this still exists. Have you tried factory reset on your phone after update ? Are the apps like updater still present after factory reset? Please help me I am done waiting for ota

No I didnt went for the factory reset. It wasnt necessary anyway. I simply updated from B132 to B320 via FF and within 15 mins, the whole update was installed. I got App Twin, Updater and a lot of other new features. I didnt faced any bug so far. Been using EMUI 5 since 3 days now. Dont wait for OTA if you dont wish to. Just upgrade via FF buddy. Good luck!
I think you won't get future OTA updates after this...
Because I also updated with firmware finder from Marshmallow to Nougat build 310 just as happy as you and now I'm not getting 320 update....?

You need to unroot.
No it will not erase your data.
Stock recovery is needed if you are updating via FOTA.
Also make sure your system is not modified.
No need to relock your bootloader.
My recents is broken after this latest update. Is it just me or are others facing similar issues?
Is camera 2 API enabled?
If not can we enable it?

Yes true !
Noticed slight improvement in battery backup, previously it used to give 1hr of SOT/10% of battery but now it has improved to 1hr20mins/10% of battery!
I feel some improvements in dt2w are done, reducing standby drain

improvement in notch here means no more chopped battery percentage, but still no real full screen when playing movies or youtube.

Can you be spefiic about this? Please don't say delayed Pie rollout is misguiding. Maybe it would be better for them not to annouce an expcted date for updates but then people would still keep asking.
I have had my phone for 2 weeks and I am very happy with it. It does everything I need from a phone and is a decent upgrade from my K8 Note. I am happy to have the Feb security patch in reasonable time.
I had a problem with the DND icon not being removed after turning off DND but that seems to be fixed in this update. I use System UI Tuner to remove mobile data icons so I have more space in the status bar for notifications.

Hey See when you know you can't roll out update soon just don't promise it? I am not asking them to roll it out soon am asking them to be honest ! Because that's what makes company credible . I bought this phone with a hope that am getting pie which I wanted to explore but then from January it's been March but still we haven't got Pie . If Asus knew it can't roll out update that soon it probably shouldn't have started promising that ( and that would have cause them to lose customer) . Its not about you being happy with your phone it's about if you lied your words lose credibility!!!

dont update it since update my cell signal drops suddenly
the battery is drained faster than before
Other Companies - Updates for better performance
Lenovo - Updates for poor performance
Why provide an update after 2 years and break the devices suddenly? Maybe they found that some people are still using the device and decided to make them buy newer ones..

Has Android 10 final OTA landed for the Sprint model?

Yes but I mean if I do not lose my files when updating, like my photos or applications I hope and you answer me fast because I am about to update
I didn't lose any files.
Heads up that payment apps do not currently work with this update. Android Pay says this is not an official rom, and LG Pay requires and update for android 10 that doesn't exist yet. I suspect because although it might be official firmware, it hasn't officially been released yet.
Hmmm thinking of pulling the trigger on this. Wondering if they made improvements in the camera app? Also wondering if there is a battery drain. A lot of updates from several different phone manufacturer's are reporting battery drain after updating to Android 10.

I notice the battery exactly the same, the camera improved and added new modes, but mainly the interface and fluidity of the Android 10 device improved much more than with Android 9
I took a gamble and decided to install it. Maaananaannnnn am I love this update. What a refinement! Feels like a new phone so much more polished that 9 was on the g8. Also loving the system wide dark made aka night mode. Everything is so buttery smooth
Meanwhile T-Mobile won't say anything on when they will push the update out for their variant. :crying:
