Notification Issue - Honor View 20 Questions & Answers

I am using Chinese variant phone and facing notification issue on all most every app which I installed from play store i.e what's app, Instagram, hangout
There is no incoming notification for any message even I changed the settings of notification to show on display bar , Banners but still facing issue
When I open application manually , they start getting messages Which is annoying me
Please help for smooth receiving because some time we can't check every app again and again to just check if there is message or not
It supposed to pop up automatically
Thanks in advance

Here is setting example

Any senior member Will help in this as I am much annoying

Hello,
Try going into system settings -> battery -> app Launch and change your app to manage manually.
Falling that also do system settings -> apps -> apps -> (pull down menu - special access) -> battery optimisations and change your app to "not allowed"
And then sometimes it just doesnt work! BubbleUPnP gives me problems when screen off playing and suspect its being killed.

It's in Settings>App>Apps>permission>3 dotted menu options > special access
But it's already not allowed and it is showing just system application (What's app and other installed applications are not showing there )

How to stop whatspp from peeking messages when screen is on ?

Hi all,
How can i stop whatspp messages from peeking when the screen is on ?
When the screen is locked , i am able to prevent messages from showing up on lock screen . However when the screen is on ( eg when i am doing some work ) , the whatspp messages peek on to the screen for a brief moment and the messages are visible. I wnat this to stop as sometimes the phone is being used by someone else and they get to see the messages .
The "do not disturb "mode or priority modes silence all other message notifications , hence are useless.
In short i want notifications of my whatspp messages but they should not peek on my screen when its on
Can you suggest a solution ?
Many thanks in advance

pull down notifcations bar, press and hold settings button for few seconds. new menu will be added to settings. go to it (system tuner) other, advanced notifications settings, rturn it on. go to settings, apps, whatsapp, notifications, choose the level you want (no peak would be level 4 I think).
Check out iobit applock. Its free and works great.

For whatever reason , i could not get the System tuner to be added to the settings menu. Holding the settings button did nothing . However i surfed the xda site and found out that by using adb command i could stop the peeking on my active screen.
Follow this thread for more details :https://forum.xda-developers.com/s7-edge/help/ui-tuner-nougat-t3547059 which says --
"System UI Tuner has the ability to set notification levels including disabling message previews however Samsung pulled it out in 7.0. The solution is this command and you don't have to be rooted:
Quote:
adb shell settings put global heads_up_notifications_enabled 0
Find more info here:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/v20...tuner-t3493986"
This has worked for me and i have no more peeking. I have samsung S7 with android 7.0.
Will try on Pixel now.
Thanks a lot for all the suggestions
For Now, i cannot make Level base Notification for Custom Applications like Whatsapp. Level Base notification available in built in Apps.

WhatsApp -> Settings -> Notifications -> PopUp - set to "No Popup".
I haven't tested this - but I don't get modal pop-ups...and this would logically seem to be the way to control. Good rule of thumb is to always explore an Apps settings to see what user control it gives you on its behavior - notifications and otherwise.

Late Notifications (L29) - Any fix?

Hi Guys,
I still have some late notifications once in a while from different programs.
Line (Messaging)
Google Calendar
HQ (Trivia game)
And a few others...
I have made sure to disable the "Auto" power manager setting for those apps and most of the time they do work normally. However once a week or so I miss a calendar notification or other notifications. I'm guessing this has to do with the aggressive background task killing on Chinese phones, or maybe the AI stuff? Either way, I want my notifications to work and come in on time.
Are there any hidden settings I am missing to disable background task killing? (I had an older Huawei phone that allowed you to disable Huawei memory management in developer settings, but that's not on this phone)
Thanks!
I'm having the same issue on a mate 20 pro, but up to now I could not find a resolution. It's annoying as our doorbell works with a push message that does not always gets delivered instant now.
Try locking the app along with turning off smart notification and turning on the setting to keep mobile active when in sleep mode. Seemed to work for my AL00 which has aggressive power handling.
on top of changing auto mod for app launch there's also battery optimization which isn't in battery menu but in application - special access menu. Try to disallow apps you need maybe it helps.

How to stop Mobile Manager from killing apps and not receiving notifications

Hi guys,
One of the features i like about ASUS phones is the ability to control apps through the app Mobile manger but the problem with it is that it takes a while to know how to use it. So what ends up happening is that a lot of your apps notifications gets delayed or never show up or your apps are killed when your phone screen turns off or your VPN is killed when you clear it from the recent apps menu.
Solution:
Open the Mobile Manager app:
-Head to Memory Cleaner section
-Go to "Super Clean mode is turned on" Setup - click it
here you can turn off the option for all apps or deselect the apps you don't want to be killed when you clear the apps from the recent menu, once the app is deselected from the App list it will appear under the headline "Standard Clean the following apps".
-Next after deselecting the apps go back to the PowerMaster section in Mobile Manger/ then Auto-start manger /
Here make sure that All apps button is turned green then under the section "Allowed" make sure to select the apps you want to auto start so that you can receive their notifications. Deselect the apps you don't want to auto start.
-Finally go to the settings page /under Battery section / detect battery-draining apps:
unselect "Detect & stop" button.
-Go back to: Battery optimization section:
make all the social apps and apps you want to receive their notifications on time turned to : "Not optimized".
After this your apps shouldn't be killed even after you clear them from the recent menu, and you will receive your notifications on time.
Good Luck
Apparently it's not working for Spotify

Are you sure you followed the steps stated. Personally i don't use Spotify so i am not sure if it works or not. So far I have no issues with apps I want to receive notifications from and ones I don't want to receive. If nothing works try to disable super clean mode and auto start apps and make sure battery optimization is not on for Spotify.
Really helpful post. I once tried to figure out the way to receive email notification and this just works. Thank you
thanks a lot buddy! i was having notification issues for some of the apps and its solved now! I had done most of the changes already but the Super clean mode was still on and causing issues. All good now.

Its not an app. Go to Settings > Advanced and you will see Mobile Manager as the first option under Assistive Tools.

Question Vivo X80 Pro [Origin OS, CN Version] - Bugs & Experiences - Let's share

Dear Forum,
after scanning the x60 and x70 threads about notification issues I'm still struggling with missing notifications and badges for certain apps [in this case Signal and Threema]. What I did so far:
- uninstall com.vivo.pem via ADB App Control
- set notification settings correctly for the apps: (Allow notification, allow smart notification, Floating notifications on (Threema, Signal), Lock screen notifications on (Threema, Signal), display notification details on lock screen, Chats: priority display) // (Home Screen icon badges only for Whatsapp available for some reason)
- set single permission settings for the apps: autostart on, startup on, floating window on, desktop shotcuts on, display on lock screen on, background pop-ups on, Remove permissions and free up space off
- set display settings: show on the off-screen on, show on the lock screen on, show on the home screen on, show in the status bar on, notification method: original icon
- set battery settings correctly: Boost mode, saving mode off, high background power usage on, always on display on, optimize battery life off, auto enable battery saver off
[Phone settings: Drawer style, dark mode, Android Style control center, Vivo Origin System Launcher]
Whatsapp is working: Home Screen notifications, badges, also lock screen notifications - Threema and Signal are not working, driving me a bit crazy. "Sometimes" there is a notification sound, sometimes not. Starring at the lock screen with turned on blue ambilight, it sometimes appears, sometimes not. So my questions:
1) Is there anyone who has experience with Signal and Threema notifications on a Vivo device and could share his/her solution?
2) Should I uninstall also com.vivo.abe and com.iqoo.powersaving?
3) There are no badges for almost all third party apps (Whatsapp badges are working) - is there a way to change it, to get also badges for Signal, Threema, Telegram and so on? (Change Launcher?)
I appreciate your help!

I turned dark mode off, Threema notifications in the status bar are working like 70% now, sometimes they don't - that's so weird.
Is there a solutions for getting badges? Maybe changing the launcher?

Now at the moment everything seems to work even in dark mode, and even with AquaMail, I just followed this instruction:

No badges in AquaMail but in WhatsApp they work, but I dont need that.

I knew that tutorial before. For me the notifications in status bar and home screen for Threema and Signal did not work having dark mode turned on. Switching to the brigth/light mode the notifications work perfectly.
Considering the badges - I get used to it not having badges for messaging apps.
Just for the readers, you can turn on badges on the home screen for the following apps (Origin OS, Dim9000):
- Designs
- Settings
- iMusic
- iManager
- Kuaishou
- Messages
- Notes
- Recorder
- Telephone
- Clock
- V-Appstore
- Vivo
- Vivo.com
- VivoCloud
- Whatsapp

To be honest, I do not know. While getting it working step by step I was very impatient at some point, so I can not tell you which setting is really needed to get it working - please feel free to test it step by step to figure out which settings are really needed. I will post my settings again a bit more structured.
The only thing I can tell you: I have uninstalled neither com.vivo.abe nor com.iqoo.powersaving, but with the settings below, uninstall of com.vivo.pem and a phone restart my notifications are working perfectly.
Tested and successfully working with Signal, Telegram, Threema, Whatsapp (Vivo X80 Pro, Origin OS, Dim 9000):

What about your battery settings? Maybe before changing the display settings you need to do step 7) and 8) - but I've no clue why your display settings are grayed out. Have you deleted certain systemapps with ADB?
If you find the solution, just share it here.

I tried several things now. Going back some steps and checking again ... always stays grayed out.
I deleted only vivo.pem and some Bloatware. Nothing what has to do with display settings ...
So at the moment I dont know what to do next, but with rest of settings all notifications working for me. Only lockscreen notifications dont show up as well as tiktok notification. But thats more or less OK for me.
If I find out how to change Display notification settings I will share here, for sure.

thank for the hint,I think bug in darkmode is the root cause,I can get the notification sound but no visual in notification center, clearmode is ok!
