contact pictures blurry

Hi everyone,
I have a problem with contact pictures, they become blurry and i dont know why. i try to change whit new pictures, but same thing, i even did a hard reset, still nothing.
Does anybody know something about this? it's very annoying.

This is because Gmail synches the pics and they downgrade the resolution, just turn down the Google synch contacts in the syncronization setup. Then your pics stay the same as you uploaded them, only your contacts won't be updated into gmail anymore.
BTW, use the search function nexttime

Sorry for my second post, i have a realy bad connection at my work and i haven't seen my first post, I thought it wasn't sent. i've did it only once just like you said. still not working. thanks a lot for answering

I just leave mine as is, I try not to look at the pics lol

Anyone has experienced that photo is disappeared after uploaded to Facebook?
Is there any solution?

I've experience photos not appearing on my wall, but they still get put into the "mobile uploads" folder.
I'm guessing it's just a glitch

Sorry, what I mean is disappeared in my phone, not facebook.
I can't find the photo in file explorer or gallery view.

I had the same problem. Reset fixed it for me.

Do you mean a factory reset?

Same problem here. I have for example tried all the tricks suggested here but nothing helps.
Very annoying, as the photos aren't even uploaded to Facebook in full size the original photo seems to be lost for good.

any update in here? also been experiencing this and it is annoying..

Does anyone else have trouble attaching pictures to tweets? Mine start to send and then say 'Tweet not sent, saved to drafts'. I've tried several different apps with no luck. can't vouch for Wifi right now but its been going on for a while.
Any ideas?

How to do I stop my phone from auto uploading pictures?

Never have I checked any box anywhere for my phone to auto upload anything, yet when I sent my co-worker an email, over on the right hand side it has a thing to view recent pictures from me...
*Edit* nevermind my co-worker is an idiot. Those are past pictures I've sent him and google sorted them into a little box for him to see pics from past emails along with the new ones. Scared the bejeezus out of me for a minute. I thought google+ had synched up with my DCIM folder or something.

google+ does have the instant upload function and IMO it's great. Automatic backup of all your phone pics, no limit. All uploaded pics are private unless you explicitly share them on google+.

PROBLEM with Stock Messenger attaching backed up google photos. Hangouts works. Help!

I'll try to explain as clearly as possible.
When I try to attach a backed up google photo using the stock messenger, all of a sudden it's not showing my back ups. It just lets me choose one of about 150 photos even when I choose the photos option like I have hundreds of times. I have over 2000 photos backed up.
When I go to Hangouts and try to attach the same exact way, ALL 2000+ OF MY BACKED UP PHOTOS ARE AVAILABLE.
This started last week, and the only thing I did since then was install Allo and I'm not sure if this caused the problem, but it is now uninstalled which would have happened anyway because it's horrible. The problem is still there regardless.
A friend of mine with the 6P just duplicated the exact problem as me.
Can any of you try this and see what's going on please?

I can't believe no one else has had this issue even though my friend with the 6P does but I don't know anyone else with nexus devices.

same issue here. I have an unrooted 5x running nougat. All of a sudden I am no longer able to access my backed up photos in the stock messenger app. I used to be able to. I am still able to open google photos and then link the image to a text message that way.

Try hangouts and see if they're all there to attach. They are for me. This is so weird.

I switched my default messaging app to hangouts. Still no images at first. But if I click to attach the image there is another image icon on the bottom right. I click that and I can choose from where I want to pull images from. This allows me to access google photos.
This seems like the stock android messenger is just not talking to the google photo's. Wonder if there is a permission somewhere that isn't granted.
I have left feedback as well as a negative review in the store in hopes to get this issue resolved.

Yeah and like I said my friend with his 6P has the identical issue.
I also put this problem in the app review.

This just got really frustrating!!
Can anyone see if they can even share a pic from your Google photos app to someone in messenger? This was my alternative to the backups not showing up anymore using the attach option in messenger.
Now all it says is ERROR DOWNLOADING ATTACHMENT.
Edit: I closed and then opened the Google photos app and now it attaches without the error.
Not sure why this feature was taken out of our stock messaging app.
