Get MiFlash
goto fastboot (power + volume down)
Recognize the device in MiFlash and download the stock rom here
extract it twice with winzip until you hit a folder
select the folder in MiFlash
Then flash it. It will take a bit to start for the first boot but you must redo the bootloader stuff and everything

Oh why did you relock it?
I made this mistake before
and i solve this problem by "Test Point" method
You can solve this problem with just EDL mode.

There is a video for how to get in to EDL mode.

And there is another video.
Plug the usb cable to a PC while tweezers touching these points

I think there's a way out of there just by reflashing the boot image... It should be, but I don't know if it'll work after disabling OEM in developer options ... Big mistake there.

Yeah, that's how I killed a Redmi Note 4 once, I was in a hurry so I forgot to choose the non-relock option in MiFlash and then the flash went bad, rip phone.
However I've heard that this EDL trick that was mentioned seems to do the trick, so try that OP!

Stuck in recovery

Hi,
My phone got a message about a virus which I assumed was a devious add, it wouldn't go away so I rebooted. It has gone into Mi-Recovery 3.0 and I cant get out. I've tried to connect to PC suite but it won't connect to my laptop
without debugging, which I can't do. I've wiped data but no good. Any ideas?
Flash full rom img via EDL mode and MiFlash software. Check out the official forums how to do it all.
For me the command fastboot oem edl works to get into edl mode.

Thank you for answering. I have downloaded a full rom and the MiFlash software. I have made an EDL cable but nothing happens. From what I read it says turn the phone off and connect the modified cable and it will enter EDL mode however it just stays on the Mi-Recovery 3.0 page. I've tried the command line you suggest but that can't find the phone. I've also tried the test point method and still can't get into edl mode. What am I doing wrong?
Sorry, I'm new to this so don't really know what I'm doing. Would you be able to give me some easy to follow advise or some links please.

You need your normal USB C cable. When you are in fastboot you need to type "fastboot oem edl" your screen will go to black and you are now in EDL mode. Now flash full img via miflash software.

I cant get to fastboot as I'm stuck in Recovery. My only choices are Reboot to System and Back to Main Menu. When I'm in Main Menu my choices are Reboot, Wipe Data or Connect with MIAssistant.

When you turn off the phone and press vol down + power what does that do?
It shows the Mi start screen then boots strait into recovery Main Menu. I can't turn the phone off without it rebooting.
Does anyone know how I can get around this? I've run out of things to try.
Did you try reflashing the recovery maybe that fixes it?

Can you explain how I do that? I can't connect to my computer so not sure what you mean. I'm new at this so unsure of the options.

Is there no way of getting out of stock recovery?
Maybe your volume rocker buttons are faulty .
Happened with one of my friend his device was only booting into recovery mode on reboot because vol+ button was permanently stuck ?
Try to lift up the button if it is stuck or
press button repeatedly for sometime .
Ashish 289, you are right, it was a faulty volume rocker. Once disconnected it booted. Thanks.

Bricked phone "The system has been destroyed Press power button to shut down"

Bricked phone "The system has been destroyed Press power button to shut down"
Hello and happy new years,
Few days ago I total bricked my phone, it doesn’t start in normal, fastboot or in recovery mode.
I made a deep flash cable and I entered in EDL mode, with MiFlash I flash stock rom but I make a terrible mistake, I chose, clean all and lock option. Because of that my bootloader was locked and I can’t unlock it. When I leave EDL mode my phone show an error screen, "The system has been destroyed Press power button to shut down".
I can enter only in fastboot, recovery doesn’t work. But in fastboot I can’t use fastboot oem unlock or fastboot oem edl or script methods to enter in edl mode.
I put in attachements log of fastboot getvar all, fastboot oem unlock and fastboot oem edl
I think the only way to repair my phone is to enter in edl mode but deep flash cable methods doesn’t work now and I can’t unlock my bootloader as with official or un official method.
Do you have a solution*?
Thanks,
Pierre.

Oh hey bud we're facing again
You know? i lived same things like you almost i was going to be crazy.
But you cant fix your device without diassemling your device
When you get in to EDL mode flash with "64 bit" mi flash
https://yadi.sk/d/cel5Nm2sE1OpMg
here is a link for that
Only way to fix your device is "Test Point Method"

Dead Hardbricked MI 9 SE

Hello everyone, I have rooted and used my MI 9 SE for at atbout one month normally. Today, phone discharged and since that time after charged, Iam not able to boot everywhere, except "fastboot screen", while trying anything like (power and +; power and - etc..) phone always vibrates and boots into fastboot screen.
unfortunatelly, I so far I havent managed to connect it to PC and reflash anything, it is not visible and does nothing, when try to connect to PC (tried all USB ports etc).
Also MI flash tool doesnt do anything with that, so, any idea or solution?
Thank you, sorry for my english.

Are you using USB 2.0 or USB 3.0?
Edit: there is this: https://www.xiaomitool.com/V2/
I used this to unlock my bootloader, though I've noticed that it has "unbrick" feature, whatever that may be, haven't tried it before, see if it helps. If you cannot get fastboot working, you're in deep sh*t.
I'm afraid I can't help beyond this, I never bricked a phone badly enough to ruin fastboot, so at this point I'm clueless what you can do other than returning the phone. They unbrick it for you and the warranty wont be void but you'll have to pay.

Yes that looks working ..) Very thanks
After booting you have to reboot to bootloader and reflash twrp (if you need them) and if you want to flash some dev rom wipe: DALVIK, CACHE and DATA ONLY from WIPE menu, NOT System, than flash dev rom if you like ...

Pattern lock remove

Hey,
I'm working for a farming company as IT, and one of the employees left the Company with a locked phone. Xiaomi has a pattern lock.
What I tried;
Factory reset,
ADB devices do not see any (when trying unlocking bootloader)
fastboot boot twrp(got msg "device is locked")
Mi Reset, but ADB doesn't see any devices
Any ideas?
used Android fastboot Reset tool and got msg "device is locked"

Hey im the maintainer of one of the custom roms for this phone you can look up on google how to use the test points if you short those with a tweezers or something it will go into edl and that should allow you to use miflash and completly reflash the stock rom.

Question Hard-Bricked Poco F3 (shocker). Won't boot into EDL.

Hello peeps.
My Poco F3 got hard bricked after update froze (was doing clean install of stable EU rom). Phone won't boot into any mode, and won't appear on pc. I've tried sorting the Test Pins 50 different ways and it still doesn't get picked up by the pc. Qualcomm Drivers are installed. Device is connected with working data transfer USB cable. It definitely is getting charge cause Battery and CPU are hotter than the rest of the phone. I'm at complete loss, I have no idea what I'm doing wrong or if I screwed up my phone that bad that EDL also doesn't work. Thanks for anyhelp!
1. Disconnect the battery
2. Make USB-Cable ready for Insertion
3. While shorting the 2 Test-pins, connect the USB-Cable
This is how I had to do it. ^^ This can be difficult and may require multiple trials, but this should work!
Windows should make the "Hardware connected"-Sound directly after connecting the USB-Cable, and show "Qualcomm 9008" in Device Manager.
If not, you need to repeat it: disconnect USB, short the 2 Test-pins and connect USB again. All while leaving battery unplugged.
Note: EDL Mode can't be bricked. This read-only Mode resides inside the Qualcomm SOC. There would have to be physical (hardware) damage for this to not function.
If you need more assistance or so, I can give you my Discord. Though you already seem quite far. Good luck dud.

I am assuming the phone screen does not light up at all, no fastboot or recovery mode.
This would mean the phone's hard bricked. It will require EDL flashing which can be done by someone with an authorised Xiaomi account.

Yes. Just to be safe I would flash the rom with "clean all" instead of "clean all and lock" if I were you. Then after booting up the phone you can later lock the bootloader safely using "fastboot oem lock" in adb.

In case of "clean all and lock" if something goes wrong during flashing, the bootloader will be locked and you will not be able to fix the phone. So it is safer to flash the rom first without locking the bootloader and then lock it after booting up.

It will not.
If the Flash aborts, it won't even get to the stage of locking the bootloader.

Because if you lock bootloader while flashing a rom with a different region than what came in the box, you will hard brick your phone
