No, not possible.

There's some initial Linux development (See Linux on DeX thread) limited to Ubuntu at present... Like ramer said you'll never get windows on the s4 but one day you may be able to dual boot w Linux and even now you can use Ubuntu within Android

I haven't seen anyone try that yet. I think that even if the tab s4 had the archetecture needed to run Windows 10, running it in a virtual machine inside Linux inside Android would decrease the user experience to a great degree. For serious work, I would suggest one of the Surface machines.
But as an experiment to run Windows on ARM64 I think it's cool

APK the Android application package file cannot be installed on Windows RT.
Wouldn't do any good if it could either. Android apps run on Dalvik (which no version of Windows has built in) and on the POSIX-based Linux kernel (RT doesn't even have the NT POSIX subsystem anymore).
The answer to this question is exactly the same, for exactly the same reasons (and therefore should be exactly as obvious) as asking whether you can install Windows Phone .XAP files on iOS. NO!

Can't Install DuoS on my 8.1 Surface

So like the title says...I downloaded the official .exe file for DuoS and attempted to install it as a admin. And I get the generic this app will not run on your pc...any suggestions? ?

I have followed the above video as well.

im have also run the jail break tool from the link above
Windows RT 8.1 cannot jailbreak yet. That jailbreak you use only working with Windows RT (8.0). After jailbreak you will need to use .exe that compile for using on ARM (not normal x86-64 for Intel, AMD CPU) or use Win86emu to run normal .exe with 1/10 CPU performance. And even we can jailbreak RT 8.1. I don't think DuoS can working on it.
oh wow ok so i assume that means at this point there is no way to run any android apps on the 8.1 RT?

There is Bluestacks. You can downgrade WindowsRT to 8.0 if it's the original Surface RT.

I don't think there is a version of Bluestacks compiled for ARM available yet. I could be wrong, but having RT 8.0 with the jailbreak still won't allow it to run x86 applications, and the currently available download of Bluestacks doesn't run on my Surface RT even with the jailbreak. There is rumor they maybe are working on an ARM release, but I don't know if that will be a desktop or store version. Probably the latter.

If somebody has a link for an ARM version to download I'm all ears.
I think that they already released the store version

Not that I can find... searching the store all I find are guides to installing bluestacks, but not the actual application itself. I'd be happy to be proven wrong...

Man, there was NEVER ANY Android device on which Windows could be installed.
2 minutes of googling would have been enough so that you hadn't to post this question.

Microsoft did release a Windows 10 Rom for Xiaomi MI 4 and was also planning to release it for the oneplus 3. There are also some devices which have both Windows and Android installed out of the box.
Yea, I hope Microsoft comes through with the Windows ROM. I would flash it.
It's hard to get open source systems (like Android) to work on officially unsupported devices. Windows is closed source so we'll definitely not gonna see it unless Microsoft decides to bring it to OP3.

Using Gnuroot Debian on andriod 6.0 (Galaxy Note 7 device)?

Dear XDA forum,
So I came from a galaxy note 3 where I did run linux but it was rooted. Since rooting gets rid of some functions on my galaxy note 7 I decided to use gnuroot debian which allows linus to run ontop of andriod via a P-root instead of a chroot. I have got blender running and it works (using Spen as a mouse/stylus). I have several hpc computing applications such as calculix, C++/Python IDE and compilers and scilab which all have arm based versions so It would run native on my SD820. So my question to those who have used this is:
Is it a full desktop variant of debian which is up to date?
How can I get a gui using x server and how do I give it access to device cpu/gpu, and sensors fully to be used with said applications?
Is this possible without root?
I just don't want to loose out on several note 7 features and knox features since I would loose them if I root.

Windows 10 arm on Phone

Hello Guys,
I was just wondering if it would be theoretically possible to port the Windows 10 on ARM OS from a Laptop like the "Asus NovaGo TP370QL" which is using an snapdragon 835 to a phone like the Mi Mix 2 which is using the same SOC ??
I dont really know much about Operating Systems, but since it is the same SOC and a phone is nothing more than a Computer, there should be probably a chance to get it running right?
Im really interested in your thought!

Don't think it's possible. This version of the Snapdragon 835 is customized to run on Windows 10 on ARM, which is also customized to run on ARM. And if it's possible, it'll take hella lot of work I think.
Hi it's available for mi4 : http://en.miui.com/thread-189556-1-1.html
But I don't know if one day this can be available on mi mix 2 :/

This was an exclusice deal between Xiami and Microsoft back then. I don't think this will ever come to any other Xiaomi device as it was Win10 mobile, which is dead.

Would be nice though using a full windows 10 installation on the go.
Probably that was something microsoft was aiming for when they brought windows 10 mobile to the Mi 4....
Eventhough the installation, drivers, etc probably doesnt work, would a bootloader like TWRP be able to boot the arm iso of windows?

TWRP isn't a bootloader, it's a recovery. But you're right, TWRP would probably be able to INSTALL the image, but it wouldn't work.
Thanks for your opinion on this topic
I think i ll read some more about making your own rom for a device and probably try it out on my phone.
But i have no great hope for even getting to boot the iso ^^
(I should probably wait for Microsoft to publish a mobile OS again before I brick my phone )
