I am not responsible for any damage to you your device. Everything you do, you do on your own risk!
Last year I got a Galaxy Tab E (SM-T560) from Samsung for free as gift to my new mobile phone.
Unfortunately the ROMs for SM-T560NU tabs are not working on that device, but I found a working ROM of LineageOS 14.1 (Android Nougat 7.1.2) on the following page:

LineageOS 14.1 (formerly known as CyanogenMod) ROM is based on the Android stock ROM released by Google, which the LineageOS team modifies.
Credits go to the LineageOS team for making this ROM available to many devices and to independent developers like Ma3a_XaTa for porting this ROM to the Tab E SM-T561.

Hints & Tips:
1. To improve the speed of the tablet, turn of animations inside Developer Options.
2. You can also install an app freezer called "Icebox" to temporarily disable RAM hungry apps like Facebook, Chrome etc.
3. To ensure longer battery life, disable “double tap to wake” hidden somewhere in the settings (use the app called "Kernel Adiutor" from the Playstore).
4. If you don’t plan to put a SIM on this thing or if you are having a SM-T560 only, put it in airplane mode and then turn on your WiFI when needed. Turn of GPS/location or even sync when not necessary.
5. Disable "Adaptive Display" in the settings. It seems to make the tablet slower.
6. Improve the battery life of the tab by using an app called “L Speed“ (available in Playstore).

Hello, great post. I used this ROM before, but after some time it just stops working. You can't boot it anymore.
How long do you use it already?

What version of TWRP are you using & what error do you get?

Have someone passed safetynet check ? Can you help me with pass?

The ROM is running ok so far on my T560, but I noticed some problems:
* If the tablet runs out of battery with Wifi activated, charging and booting it up causes a boot loop until Wifi is turned off. Something like that... it sometimes gives you the time to open the settings and turn off Wifi before it reboots.
* The Tablet's battery is drained by "Mobile Standby" in approx. two days, regardless of power save, battery saver and/or flight mode. When the Tab is idle all the time, the battery graph runs down in a straight diagonal line until the battery is empty, approx. 2 % per hour. Did not find a way to disable Mobile Standby on my T560 which doesn't even have a modem (maybe that's the problem).
* The system is a bit laggy given that it's a quad core, but turning off Animations helped. I suspect hardware acceleration does not work.
I'd switch to a better rom if I find one. But thanks anyways for the information and work! Better than nothing, I guess

Problems of ignition and charge of battery
Hello friends, I need a help I have a Samsung Tab E 9.6 = SM.T561, I installed Roon Custom Lineage 14.1 with TWRP, but the Tablet was downloaded and I can not charge it or turn it on, I searched everywhere and nobody gives me answers . I appreciate the help given. Thank you

Hi, I hope someone who has tried this rom can give me some feedback on it. My main concern its if this is stable and faster than ron. Any idea?

I have my T560 all the time in airplane mode with Wifi on. Battery drain is no problem at all.
It is also written in my second post:

I had a similar problem in the beginning. Seemed as the tab was in a bootlooporsomething similar with black screen.
The only solution I found was to wait some days until the battery was empty, charge the tab and directly started to download/recovery mode and flash it again.
Now it is working fine with this ROM.

I am using it now for ~2.5 months and I am quite happy with it.
It is much better then the stock ROM.

Hi @SeeDoubleYous and guys. I was reading the Forum and decided to share with you my experience with this ROM. Well, I'm owner of a SM-T560 (in US and Canada this model is T560NU I don't know why it's different just in these two countries ). Anyway....
I made all the steps described on the step-by-step Instructions. (TWRP Recovery via ODIN, Root, ROM, GAPPS, etc etc etc).
I'll be honest with you. My t560 turned in a piece of sh... Very Slow, Apps Stucking all the time, sometimes bootlooping too... i used the Tab for almost 3 weeks. After that I decided to reset the device and I did all steps again using the same ROM (I reinstalled the TWRP RECOV via ODIN, proceeded a Factory + Internal Memory Wipe, Installed the LINEAGE 14.1 OS, etc, etc, etc) But this time I choose the "Micro" GAPPS option instead "PICO". Installed Root SU, etc, etc exactly as the directions wrote in the top page.
For my surprise, It's perfect Now!!!! ROM is great.... No problems of RAM, Bootlooping, Stucking, APP crashing... Absolutelly Nothing!
I don't know why, but it seems that the secret is install for first time and use for some weeks even its is not working fine. And After that, proceed All the step-by-step again from the very beggining. (Reinstall TWRP, ROM, GAPPS, Keys, "Boot Image" and ROOT SU). It will work fine on SM-T560 just from the second Install on.....
All Best guys

I need help. My screen is stuck on boot again
Am I bricked?

Hi guys, I've got a T560 tablet with the official ROM and I'm researching to upgrade it's software.
Currently I'm away off-shore for work but as soon as I get home I'll try this ROM.
I've been a fan of CyanogenMod since the early days and I'm eager to try it so I can bring some new life into my old tablet.
Since this ROM is for the SIM card variant T561 I was searching for a way to disable the Radio altogether and I found this:
https://android.stackexchange.com/q...le-radio-signal-in-a-phone-without-a-sim-card
Basically it disables the RIL with a simple Terminal Command:
Code:
su -c "setprop persist.radio.noril 1"
Can someone try this and see if its working properly? (OFC after a Back-up is done) Its persistent through reboots so you don't need to use Airplane Mode anymore and maybe it will help with the battery draining problem.
Also one question for the guys who are currently using this ROM:
Is Magisk working? After everything is set-up can we uninstall SuperSU and install Magisk for root?
Thank you,
Have a nice day!

I've tried the command and it worked, no reboots even if the airplane mode is off and no problem so far.
I don't know if the battery life is better now because I've just done it.
For the other question, I haven't tried because I like SuperSu, but I think there's no problem.

Hey,
does this rom works with SM-T562??? (3G)

Is there any updated ROMs like LOS 15 or 16 for SM-T561 (gtel3g), I tried to Port LOS 16 but I get error 7 while flashing in TWRP(V3).

CM 10.2 on Ascend Mate?
Does anyone know how hard it would be to get CM 10.2 to run on the Ascend Mate? Just got the phone and really love it but can't stand all the bloat which really kills the batty. Love to have something lean and mean like CM running on my phone.
Thanks.

CM 10.1 is the best we can hope for until huawei release a 4.3 or 4.4 rom for the mate and then we will still need a way to flash a custom recovery. Until then our options are very limited.
But the updates its to slow...

MIUI 5 3.8.12 for Huawei Ascend Mate.
Hey all, I found this ROM; an update (I think) to the previous MIUI ROM. I've loaded it up and have had no real problems. Pretty simple install. Skipped the MIUI and GMS downloads. Used latest Google Play apk instead. First off, the bottoms don't show. Go to settings and change nav button height (I changed both portrait and landscape to "52" and it looks nice).
Overall, this MIUI stuff seems pretty slick! =)

hi thegooz,
i hv downloaded it. just in case would you be kind to include how you flash it with a guide? thanks.
i read the guide but just in case someone would want to ask the same question over and over again, they'll have the flashing guide.
i havent install it yet, wanna try when i get back.
by the way, i revert back to B221, will it be compatible? i also had downloaded the Official B907 from the russian site but have not flash yet.
just want to know anyone experiences towards these.
I feel that i've made a mistake.
I try flashing the miui rom from thegooz link. Its stuck in bootloop/keep restarting when still reading files during the last system reading. That was in 60% batt.
Now keep restarting that way.
When i discionnect the charging cable it turn off and restarting again. Same as when i connect the cable again.
Any suggestion guys.

I've used the B907 as well. It's just a dload onto the SDcard and install. That ROM seems to be the best one in my experience. However, I couldn't the hide/show nav buttons to work. I ended up using Ultimate Dynamic Navbar Lite by Pavel (googleplaystore) to get the effect.
I'll probably switch back to it soon. I like MIUI but, it isn't as smooth although it looks better; and some things don't work well, i.e., voice assistant is in Chinese, MIUI audio player doesn't work with APEX launcher....things like that.
This is how I installed it. You might have to unplug/replug the usb and start over if it doesn't read Daemon. just unplug phone, close bluish/green window and try again. It took me a couple of times.-
Unzip ROM to desktop.
Put your usb cable in your pc and your phone.
Check if it is in debug mode (I was connected as Huwaei suite option).
If it isn't in debug, then go to settings developer options put usb debugging on.
Open ROM folder on desktop and press shift and double click on flash_all (its a batch file)
A command line window will appear in blueish/green (it's in Chinese).
Just press 1 on your keyboard and press enter (rom)
Then press enter again.
The phone will shutdown and will immediately will reboot you will get the Huawei ascend logo en the files will transfer now wait the phone will boot into the new ROM and your done (give it a while and don't unplug until the window appears to be completed).
I've done before and was able to dload back to B907 off SD card.
I've a 1.5gb version phone.
Good luck.
I am now stuck in bootloop. Mistakrnly didnt realised the battery is low 4+%.
At first try it went to bootloop so i restart in recovery force update with dload in ext sd card. Until 'Checking Module SYSTEM' phone restart in the middle and keep restarting at huawei logo.
I think battery not enough. So now i need help if anyone knows how to deplete
The battery so can charge. No led light when connect to usb cable/ no signal of the mate charging.

You will probably need to leave ur mate on charge for sometime before ur mate is able to return to its normal state.
Try also the force installation method to install the B907 ROM to revive ur unit.
(with or without the charger connected).
Hope this helps..

Agreed. Or try holding all three buttons (pwr/volume +/_-) and wping/ clearing data then any ROM from SDcard (dload)
Thanks gooz n syaah.
It seems when i connected to cable to charge its not charging but turn on and stuck on the huawei logo. Cant turn it off except if i disconnect the cable. Theres no led light when connect to cable too.
When i press both vol button it will start the sdcard update but stuck in the last 'Checking Module SYSTEM' and when its in middle loading it restarted either back to the sdcard update or stuck in the logo screen.
I did left the phone stuck on the logo for a night hoping it will deplete the batt but to no avail. Still the same situation.

Don't needed. You can root the normal cf-auto-root with latest sock without problem.
After we pm chat last days about rollback to T900UEUAND4 as unique possibility for rooting, i decided to do a last try before that, and luckily works perfect:
-just did a factory reset to restore from B3 recovery i been trying to prev installed T900UEUANI1 stock, wipe caché with stock recovery, odined cf-auto-root and voilá, just rooted!
No need to do the old B3-rollback-prior-D4 method now. Just a normal auto-root with no hassling.
temp maybe?

It sounds like you maybe having a "Sleep of Death" (SOD) issue. The T520 and P900 have had similar problems. I will out of town until Monday but I'll do some research and hope to have a solution soon.

There is a deadlock in Samsung's code triggered by the CPU boost driver. Look in the t520 device repo for the commit that disables it (actually probably 2 commits because I removed some functionality that doesn't make sense for this processor).

When putting the tablet into sleep mode, it will automatically shut itself down. When I try to turn it back on, the tablet will only do so after I plugged in the charger. The battery itself is fully charged.
I've updated to the latest available firmware version that's available to me. I couldn't find any list of known issues, so I'm wondering if this is a common problem and if I should return my tablet?

Same here. It seems that the problem maybe is temperature: after some time charging it gets really hot and maybe can't awake from that and need rebooting.
I've disabled the magnet sensor vía 3rd app to off the close-lid functionality but don't improve the problem.
Here in summer the room gets to +30°c and the Tab ups to almost 65°c when it gets hot!
Maybe it just reach the temp threshold and self shutdown, or intend that not letting awake.
Perhaps CM11 build here charges battery too fast, with higher voltage than allowed and provoque overheating. I mean, i really feels that it's charging real fast..
Well currently its winter and cold. My tab was cool but it does not respond after deep sleep unless i reboot. Dev said he will look into it and i will wait. Not sure if temp is cause as mine was not definitely not hot.

Posted update last night, check it out
Thanks, btw, i was able to use ODIN to get a good version of TWRP and the ROM installed smoothly. I have encountered a few small bugs but nothing to report that is new. I noticed the "sleep of death" I think you are referring to, deep sleep resulting in a manual reboot to wake up. I have noticed my bluetooth disconnects and reconnects every few minutes during deep sleep..not sure why. will report back. Thanks SO SO much for the development, i love it, so sick of the green and blue and the settings tabs on this stock OS disgust me. I am curious tho, am I the only one who noticed significant slowdown and lag compared to stock? I do not put a lot of stock in benchmarks (skewed toward uncle sammy) but they also showed big slowdown....just my very humble and grateful early experiences. Thanks again.

Well thanks, but,i don't see a flashing update but an entire 221MBs rom to flash..
Can you post just the little update file , if there's any, to flash above the installed rom?
I don't want to install rom, apps and config all over again.
Thanks!

Well there's a problem right now, seems that this rom prevent to enter recovery.., this is what happen to me:
Reboot from Android with 'reboot to recovery' option and when the TWRP splash logo shows it enter in a bootloop always to this instance that TWRP logo appears.
Then i just installed the good old UAND4 rom and it works fine.
Maybe i shouldn't go to recovery direct from android to prevent bootloop happen and try to go the normal way from boot.
Don't know, maybe I'll try some day.., or maybe better wait to Android L comes to us.
Please advice all that stuff in the respective threads, i can't.., cause' these 'noobs-wait-to-10-posting-before' rules..

1. You can "dirty"-flash (install w/o wiping) the new ROM over the old one - nothing to re-install - if you wish you could extract the kernel (boot.img) and flash it by Flashify
2. There haven't been reported any SOD issues after flashing chhaggerty's latest ROM version
3. I have had no issues with with TWRP after having flashed the KOT49H.T900UEUANI1 - I just assume that some parts of the Firmware, not touched by cm, has been improved (but since this is WIFI only, it might not be the case for a non phone device) why I preferred to make the update.

1.2- only the boot.img is needed for update?

The changes done between the two versions (99% sure) was only some modifications in the kernel-code. Why flashing the kernel only should be fine, it will resolve the SOD and also make it run cooler. But if you wish you can also dirty-flash. However, cover your bases with a full back-up.
No issues at all with the reboot to recovery option

HERE it is
unzip the downloaded file
place boot.img on your SD
use Flashify to flash the kernel
after this I believe flashify will boot you up in recovery, just reboot and you should be good to go.

flashing screen, powering down...
I have twrp 2.8, v2 of our Cyanogenmod, set processor to on demand as suggested...
Still when I play games like CoC and others, if I am not plugged in even with a lot of bat% left, I get a flashing screen and occasionally my tab just decides it needs to shut off.
Any thoughts on what to do? I have greenify and Xposed installed too...
It pretty frustrating.

My guess is that gaming need more power, why I would stop greeify and reset the governor to interactive while gaming. But other than that I have no ideas, as I haven't heard of this problem before.
This ROM is fantastic! Smooth, fast, responsive and just as described...big thanks.

Thanks for another quality update, notably when reading how other cm11 exynos versions always seems to break something. With your T-900 cm11, I have never had any issues. The latest version is still running smooth, the changes in the CPU governor will probably allow for better battery life with the added conservative setting. However, I don't know what trade-off this will have on performance.

Maybe they start to use the big.LITTLE behavior of the Exynos, instead of ever using just the full power a15 cluster (battery eater).
I've haven't tried it but since it's a 4.4.4 rom they should work fine.
Error flashing ROM
Hi guys,
I get this error message when I try to flash CM11:
"Can't install this package on top of incompatible data. Please try another package or run a factory reset"
This is a brand new rooted SMT-900 Tab Pro 12.2". Here's some notes:
- I received the error using V1, V2, and V3, all receive the error message
- I downloaded two copies of v3 from two separate mirrors (CA and AZ), both receive the error message
- I did a factory reset and still received the error message
- Wiped davlik/cache/system partitions
- Tried on TWRP 2.7 and 2.8, both receive same error message
- All I have done to this tablet is root it, install TWRP, and create one backup
Any thoughts? I can try using CWM if someone can give me a quick overview of how to install it and remove TWRP (or keep TWRP).

How I Rooted my S7 on Nougat. PlayStore ROM V3 *outdated but still working*

*I TAKE NO CREDIT FOR ANY OF THIS, IM JUST TELLING HOW I DID IT. I AM ALSO NOT GUARANTEING YOU WILL HAVE THE SAME OUTCOME*
*I recommend going to this new update guide by CVertigo1 in the ROM's section as this version of the PlayStore ROM is outdated.*
Credit for Root and PlayStore Rom goes to jrkruse (https://forum.xda-developers.com/member.php?u=1949695)
ROOTING
1)Flashed stock Nougat ROM
2)Flashed ENG-ROOT found here https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=457095661767141717
- Make sure to flash the correct kernel included in the zip file
3) Install SuperSU. Link: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=529152257862710010
- I used the regular Root.bat not the one with tweaks
FIXING LAG
1)Install Flashfire from PlayStore
2)Download the PlayStore Rom from https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=457095661767144652
-Transfer the file to the S7
3)Open Flashfire and flash the zip choosing only Mount/ system read/write
4)Now AROMA Installer will pop up and go through all of the terms and conditions
-When asked what to wipe I choose to wipe everything
-Next when asked what bloat to remove I choose the PlayStore Rom which removes all bloat and replaces stock apps with google apps (To see full list of changes refer to the PlayStore thread)
5)Now when my S7 boot it showed no launcher, I simply held the home button down which opened the google search, in there I searched for the playstore app and installed Nova Launcher.
-Now reinstall SuperSU by double clicking the root.bat like before
6) Installed the following apps to help with lag; Lspeed, Greenify, Kernal Auditor, LeanDroid, Force Doze, and SSD Boost
-I used most of the settings found on Lag fix threads for the MM root
My S7 is smooth as butter after all of this, no lag spikes and random crashes like I was experiencing with just the ENG Root flashed.
EXTRA
1)I did have to to a reboot to get the camera to work properly
2) I had to download a Dialer/Contacts and Message app from the playstore because the stock ones were deleted in this process. But the store ones work just fine, I am recieving calls and messages like normal.
3) *Battery life is just a little worse than stock, might be worth waiting for Xposed to released for Nougat.*

Weird, did you wipe your S7 completely before doing the process? I would flash fresh nougat and try again.
UPDATE
Went through the entire process once more and found that wiping but keeping SU image works the best, I chose "no wipe" but it caused random reboots. I then wiped my phone and did as stated in my original post and it is working smooth once again.

Did you start on a factory fresh Nougat? It must be trying to run the setup that you first have to do when you get/wipe your phone. But you should have already done this prior IF you wiped your phone completely and started from there.

I've got it all in working order, but to address the issue.
It was just straight after using the first Odin file. (Flashed ENG-ROOT)
Although with hours of sitting here and determination, I came to a solution using this post and many others.
I now have my S7 (Verizon) rooted and functioning with no issues.

I haven't rooted a phone in a few years but I feel like I missed a fundamental step of the root process so I have a stupid question: I get to the rom flashing step and my phone can't reboot because "Custom binary locked by SECURE BOOT (boot.img)." Then I reflash the ENG-ROOT boot.img and that same secure boot blocks because of the custom modem binary. So I just reflashed stock to get it working again, but it still gives that message if I try to install something like magisk. Am I missing something?

G930A_QE1_Stock_Deodexed_Rooted_ROM

This is my first ever ROM to post up. I just recently started building them. This is a stock deodexed Nougat ROM that is pre rooted. It is 100% AT&T Nougat with just a few fixes. I have left all Samsung and AT&T bloat for those that want all the bloat but like to be rooted and deodexed.
Follow the steps below for installation:
Step 1: You must already be on Nougat firmware. There are various threads on how to do this but if you can not figure it out just ask and i will try to assist you the best i can.
Step 2: Once on Nougat, root your device. Follow this guide https://forum.xda-developers.com/tm...eres-how-rooted-nougat-s7-edge-g935t-t3567502
Step 3: Once Rooted, install Flash fire from playstore.
Step 4: Open Flashfire and grant SuperSU access, once you are at the main menu, press the + and select Flash ZIP or OTA, go to the place you stored the ROM and selecet it. On the next screen MAKE SURE "Mount /system read/write" is selected and click the check mark in the upper right hand corner.
Step 5: Click the + sign again and select "Wipe", leave the defaulted boxes checked (System data, 3rd party apps, and Dalvik cache) and click the check mark in the upper right corner again. ( optional, you can select internal storage but you don't have to).
Step 6: VERY VERY IMPORTANT, select and hold down on Wipe and move it above "Flash ZIP or OTA"
Step 7: Make sure EverRoot is disabled and Reboot is set to normal.
Step 8: Click the lightning bolt and then yes on the next prompt, and let FF do it's thing.
*****Be patient, it will take up to 15 min to boot but most times it is quicker than that.*****

Hello, I've flashed the rom and loving it so far, it is buttery smooth and seems to have the same battery drain as in stock, but two problems... Every reboot or when I just turn off the wifi, it forgets the password. I've tried build prop editor and set ro.securestorage.suppprt to false, but no success. Another problem, Blutooth won't turn on. It used to before I changed the build prop, but now, it just doesn't turn on. I'm not sure if it is a problem with nougat root or your rom itself, I would love some answers. Otherwise the rom is great and I hope you continue to update it as there isn't a lot of development in AT&T.

Thank you for your feedback. I have experienced the Bluetooth issue on another more custom rom that I'm building, i haven't pin pointed it yet but am still working on it. I was originally thinking it had something to do with something that i removed from the rom (bloat) because when i run this rom with all the bloat i didn't have the issue. I will switch back to this rom and run it for a few days and see if the issue pops back up. As for the WiFi password, i have no problem with that and i have mine set to "true". I'll look into it though and get back with you.
For the battery drain, install kernel auditor, settings menu in top left corner, go to cpu, and set the governor to "on Demand" that will help a little bit.

ok. Yea i would try that. I can't duplicate the issue on my end. Leave the ro.secure storage set to true and see if that fixed it. That's what mine is set at and I'm not having any problems with Bluetooth or passwords at this moment.

I have reflashed the rom and also added a dual speaker mod. Everything is working like a charm. Bluetooth and Wifi are all working.
Flashed this and it works fine, but I also experience WiFi 'losing' passwords.
I just flashed it again and no change. In fact, from the time I enter the WiFi password during setup until setup is done, I have to re-enter WiFi password because it 'forgets' (it reports authentication error later after having worked fine initially)
Any other ways to fix this so I don't have to keep re-entering passwords like this?

Use root explorer, go to system/build.prop and make sure ro.secure.storage is set to "true" as shown in the attachment. I live around Houston TX so we're prepping for the hurricane at the moment so I might be oit for a few days but I'll try to check back on here as soon as I can. Another issue that has been brought up is the phone forgetting Bluetooth device after a reboot. At this moment there is no fix for it that i can find. As soon as I can find a fix for this i will upload a new version.

* Fixes i added
Fingerprint fix after root. Thanks to @qwewqa
Replaced IMSService.apk to remove hurricane icon.
CPU Fixes. Thanks to @stang5litre
Issues:
Phone forgetting Bluetooth devices after reboot, I am trying to find a fix for it and will update when i do.

Moto z problems

Phone - Moto Z play XT1635-02-DS
Android- 7.1.2
Installed TWRP 3.1.1.0
Viper addison 7.1.2
Here are my problem:
1. Flashed with supersu v2.79 and also v2.82, neither works. Phone still not rooted. When i tried toa access supersu app, it says "there is no su binary installed and supersu can't install it..."
2. Camera does open but it doesn't function, it stays dark. (I have custom gapps 7.1.x)
3. Proximity sensor does not seem to be working in other cases, but the phone goes dark as soon as i press dial or as soon as i pick a call and remains so untill the other party cuts the call. Otherwise i need to shut down the phone if i have to end the call from my phone.
4. When i shut down the phone, in order to reboot manually from recovery-reboot-bootloader. Otherwise it remains in twrp recovery.
Can anyone help please?
Have you tried flashing back to stock and seeing if that fixed these issues?

This is not really a problem with the phone per se but the rom you chose to flash. The reboot issue can be checked by setting a command at bootloader using "fastboot oem fb_mode_clear".

Thanks. But i don't have the stock rom. I didn't intend to use a custom rom. I tried to root it to recover some deleted photos and the moron that i am, i didn't back up the stock firmwares and while tweaking around in the recovery i somehow deleted the stock rom. This is my 1st time...

Is there an option for the bootloader in developer settings in your rom similar to the screenshot I attached? Make sure it's enabled.

Thanks for your concern. Developer option is 'on' and Multiprocess webView renderers seperately - 'on'. But i get the same problem. (and how do you attach screenshots ? I don't see any option for attaching files) In anycase, like you said, i think the problem has more to do with the rom. Can you please suggest me another rom or if possible link from where i can download stock rom for my phone.

If your on xda with your browser, it's the paperclip icon to attach files. If you are using a 3rd party app that wraps xda into it then I can't help you there. As for going back to stock, Motorola made things a little critical when they released Nougat. Depending on how far you were on keeping the device up to date through stock, flashing the available stock images (which aren't signed) could brick the device if you aren't careful. There use to be an account on androidfilehost that uploaded current stock packages but it seems they're all gone now. If you remember the build number of the device before you rooted, that will help in picking the right stock files. I've taken a break in keeping my device rooted so I haven't kept track of the resources used to help go back to stock but they're in the MZP guide threads.
EDIT: a word of caution when reverting to stock:
-Don't use flash tools that don't let you see/edit the fastboot commands
-Do not use commands that touch modem/radio or gpt partitions
Found an upload of the latest build release keep it around when you figure out what you need to flash. It's best to clear system, data, and cache before flashing. Also have a rom (and twrp) at hand to adb sideload in case stock doesn't boot.
