Xperia finally updated their launcher!
Hey, so it has been a long long time since I have posted or even ported anything.
Finally, xperia updated the launcher and it was a must port for me.
The launcher should theoretically work on all xperia devices with android Pie (and sony software). I have currently tested it on Xperia XZP. You can also activate pill via an adb command.
Steps
Simply install the apk and then install the wallpaper apk and then reboot
If you want pill, you must use adb with your device.
I will not be explaining how to use adb, there are many guides out there.
But to activate pill simply use this adb command

adb shell settings put secure swipe_up_to_switch_apps_enabled 1
p.s the launcher will not override sony's built in launcher. But you cannot use Launcher3(Quickstep launcher) with it. The package name is com.android.launcher3.

VERSIONS
v1.3 If you plan on using pill with this launcher, this one might be the most stable option for you. Navbar replacement/shortcut apps should work with this as long as this launcher is the default (App close animation had to be slightly altered).
v1.4.1 first of all, both have recents working without pill
v1.4.2 second version has recents working with other launchers, but to do this, i had to remove app opening animation(not the gesture) from the recent, so If this is something you cant live without, go with v1.4.1, but if you wanna use other launchers, then this is the version you want

Lastly, please do not use or repost my work without authorization, as this port was done for me and for a friend, took me at least 8 hours of constant work to get it to work properly and was not as easy and simple as copying from a system dump and uploading it and simply calling it a port.

Oh extremely sorry about that, just noticed your thread as well. If you like I can completely remove this thread. But we both do have completely different things. You have a version which is flashable. This is for non rooted devices and used as normal apps like all my previous ports.
Edit: also as a clarification, the apks were obtained from the xperia 10 system dump.

I am sorry, but may i ask why? I have not seen any ports like these here? this apk also has my signatures, and also many of my various tactics i use inside smali, android manifest, and resources to make the port work without root.

yes, once again completely sorry about that, hence i said sorry in the first place...(Sorry that the text seemed to have came out in the same way, as you can see from my various previous posts i usually write something like that in the end, and after seeing your thread, i have changed the text, if that would make you feel better)
Secondly, I would prefer that you do not steal my days work. Took me atleast 8 hours of constant work to port this, with fixing all the bugs and etc.

Work on xperia XZ1, but splitscreen crashed whole xperia home. Sometimes glitches when swipe up.. but good thanks [emoji4][emoji4][emoji4]

There's also no option to "disable" gestures by toggling the swipe up to home button, which should be found in the display settings menu. Will report other crashing with logcats when they occur.
I am currently on XZ Premium. Is the recent button really visible on the navigation pane? Seems to have no function as of the moment.

Ya thats not home related , maybe someone will port the new settings, but settings you cant port for non root that easily plus xperia 10 probably has a newer settings app than ours so again ours probably wont work

i just fixed Navigon Select to work with Gingerbread. It needs the replacement of libmedia because some interfaces got incompatible. Now i can finally use onboard Navigation on my CM7

Tell me what you get on logcat when Navigon starts up.. Using aLogcat from Market for example. And of course.. Update your Navigon Select to the latest version..

I read on mdj's thread that alot of ppl are complaining about lag in CM7, would you consider as AOSP release? Thanks soo much!!!
Had a FC when starting Navigon Select before applying the fixed library.
Replaced with your library now NS (&GPS) works without any problem!

if you got a FC while starting Navigon Select, just remove the Navigon and reinstall it again
Should work afterwards.
Sounds like permission issues, check that the new files have the same permissions as others in the same folder.
Just tried this update with Navigon MobileNavigator on a Nexus S with Gingerbread(2.3.1) It's let me get past the spash screen without a FC. Just downloading the maps now. Hope the rest of the app doesn't have any other problems.

I had some issues with this amazing rom and couldnt post in development page so i will be posting in here.
Things i flashed after rom :
indian madness from 1.5 stable lord clockan kernel roms option
Problems ive experienced
sometimes its gets very laggy that i could hardly make an option
and when i wanted to choose from options/sound/music effects settings get fc immediately so i cant choose anything and i want to try that beats dsp so much
And last one is desktop folders are not resized thats why i cahnged my dpi to 210 cuz if i stay at 240 folder icons goes out of the screen
if anyone wants any further info (logcat or any type of thing)i would be happy to provide it.

Hey Brother,
First of all despite all problems ive experienced i really recommend this rom.Its design is very lightweight and fast also.Ive never flashed an arabic patch on my device and didnt seen anything like that in the post.But here's a screenshot for you.

Did you try a clean install when you flashed the ROM? If you did, it might be an issue with the ROM itself, and you want to try some other ROM.
I was on a modified kernel now i flashed latest lord clockans ics kernel and the lag is disappeared but settings fc persists

Hey just wondering if anyone has taken a logcat of ICS enabling/disabling Skype Audio ..
What I need is to see the log of when Skype is open and ready to dial ..
Start log, then press Echo Test, then end echo test. I would like to see what the process is vs. what's happening in JB preventing our microphones from working simultaneously with the speaker ...

I'm sending attached the logcat anyway since this seemed to me as a good opportunity to familiarize myself with the logging tools in the Android world. Please let me know if I got it right or if I missed something.
To generate the log file I used CatLog.

What process did you use to collect these logs ?
usually I use adb but without a verbose long parameter its pretty messy, yours look pretty clean time stamped etc. and the device info is a great plus.

It shows that the parameters are being set for voip... in the CM10.xx there is no voip parameter, not even in the audiopolicy.conf so ...

So it's not related to the issues we're having then, huh ? I'm trying to focus on the libs poking around here and there... not always certain what im looking at /for but it might be the audio codec as well.

I used an app called CatLog. The app generated the log file with another file for the device info automatically.

But aren't we using some parts of the ics stock kernel in kick's kernel for jb 4.2 based roms?

Parts of it, as far as I know, yes ....
that's why ( when and if I have time ) i would like to attempt to build a Cyanogenmod9 .... It's based off ICS, the others (10+) are based off of JB .. We don't have a CM7 either which is GB yet other roms do as well ...
It's our lack of builders and people reluctant/unable to learn.

I hope this hasn't been posted anywhere, but all over this forum, I haven't had the luck to bump into a 4.4 ROM/Gapps with Photosphere working (and if I turn out to be blind, mods are welcome to delete this). So I ported the 4.3 Photosphere to 4.4. Nothing too complicated, although there are some tricky things. Briefly said, it works, but there's some improvements I need to do, and any help is welcome.
CHANGELOG
Version 0.0.1 - It works! Once in a while, you might bump into a glitch. If that happens, logcats are welcome. Other than that, the 0.0.1 zip contains the keyboard (why? Because I'm lazy. I'll remove it today. Promise!) I used a Build.prop from PA Gapps, but this will change as we progress too. Oh yes, and the current updater script doesn't remove your current camera, so you'll have a duplicate. Also will resolve after writing this post.
Version 1.0 - It still works! What's new? I got my own updater-script, no more duplicates! And no more Keyboard add-on for no reason!
My next step is trying to work with the people of SlimROM, because the camera bundled with their ROMs is great. Stock, but with added features. Once that will be photo-sphere-compatible, I'll add it.

Installed on Slikat 1.6, no problem on install procedure from cwm

Steps:-
1)Open camera
2)Take a pic
3)Swipe left to view the pic that you just took
4)On the upper left corner you'll see the gallery button to view all your pics. Click on it.
Does the picture you were just viewing get deleted? Please report. Thanks!

Tried this steps twice. Doesn't happen to me!!

Yes for me it closes the camera app, and then the shots are deleted

The camera + gallery comes from the Nexus 4. It's a "stock" one, so don't expect this to fix any bugs. But I'm looking into it, and it turns out this bug is not present here. Maybe it depends on the ROM (I don't see how though), as I'm running an archaic version of 4.4 from grarak. Although... wait a second. This bug DOES happen if I use Slim's camera app instead of the one shipped in the zip... Strange. It's in the camera app, not gallery. I'm not going to be online for a day, so how about you guys play around with different camera apps and post the results? I'm sure some smart devs from here will help you out in the meantime too.
maybe it's because I had the other photoshpere app in the playfulgod rom thread, + dirty ROM updates.
Maybe on a clean full wipe + your zip it works.
I guess that solves the problem, remember to make sure that no other camera app is interfering

Thank you, I remember some things could be done to improve the quality and resolution too, but I'll have to find that. I guess that's my next plan. @AbhishekS Unfortunately, I am not able to determine the cause from this (probably my fault ). But I'll try my best to troubleshoot and see what I can do.
Not your fault. I don't know how to properly take a logcat, so maybe it's my fault.
What I do is open terminal emulator, type logcat and then do the steps in the camera and gallery to reproduce the error. Once I do that, I return to the terminal emulator and copy all that I see o the screen.
Is this the correct method?

What I do is use alogcat. It has a search function, so you can type "gallery" and "camera" instead of having to look through lines and lines of code.
I guess using the terminal works too, but this method always worked great for me.
Are you sure it works on KitKat. Doesn't show any lags for me. I'm on ART BTW

Just a follow-up question, @tommrazek01 , presumably this flashable ZIP is for devices other than Nexuses?
So this turned out to be workig like a charm on our MM Stock
NOTE: Only problem is that there is a little lag when swiping up for apps (this lag is also happening on Nougat also) so don't mention it , but it still looks awesome
Instructions
1 - Move TouchWizHome_2017.apk to system/priv-app/TouchWizHome_2016
2 - Set correct permissions rw-r-r
3 - Reboot
If there is any version that solves lag when swiping up i will update thread.

yeah, i removed this launcher long time ago, swipe lag makes it unusable..

Works on J500F, but I had to delete or rename the old TouchWizHome_2016.apk and than rename yours to TouchWizHome_2016.apk
