Unbrick Fire stick 4k help with Factory defaults procedure - Fire TV Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi all,
I have a new Fire Stick 4k version which after a week just enter in a reboot loop. It never show Menu just Amazon boot picture and after that reboot itself over and over.
Is there a chance to do a reset to factory default using SPFlash Tool or using another method?
I didn't find Scatter file for this device, can anyone provide me this, maybe in private?
I can connect stick to my PC but I cannot activate ADB because I cannot "allow" my PC to use ADB.
Thanks a lot

You're out of luck. Since the device is so new, contacting Amazon for a replacement is your best bet. Good luck.

[Q] Think I bricked it!!

I received my replacement Kindle Fire today. I proceeded to follow the same steps as I did with my first to root and install modaco. However, once I installed modaco the Kindle would not start. Luckily I backed up the system after I first rooted and was able to restore and get it going again. I then compared my old unit to the new and found that the software versions were different. I downloaded the update from Amazon and ran the install in TWRP. I am now stuck in this endless reboot cycle where it tells me that it detected a problem and must clear App storage. It prompts me to press the power button to proceed. I do this and it just repeats itself. Is there anything I can do to get out of this mode??

Edit: my solution is no good if you can't reach the system to perform it.

Kindle came with 6.3 and tried to upgrade it to 6.3.1.
That souldn`t be a problem since it`s likely you no longer have fff and twrp after doing so very good chance you will need factory cable to force it into fastboot so that you can send fff and twrp back to the device in order to flash a rom you can buy a factory cable here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1392693 post 9

Thanks for your help. I am ordering one today.
You're welcome the most important thing at this point is to keep it charged.
I assume that once I receive the cable I will be able to load FFF and TWRP using KFU?
Yes when you get your cable pm me and I will assist you in getting that done.

[Q] Bootloop logo Kindle fire

Hi everyone, yesterday i tried to flash the J.B.4.2.1 but i've got problem wth md5. after i've rebooted but the kindle was in a bootloop with his logo, after the video came black and the power button green. Now i can't do anything. Anyone know what to do?
[If i've done some Grammar Nazi, sorry. But i'm Italian]
The exact same thing happened to me, I ended up having to make a fastboot cable and use bodi524's restore utility. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2035047. I highly recommend either buying a fastboot cable or make one. It took me all of 30 minutes to make one. I used a breakout board from sparkfun.com, which I think is a little easier in my opinion.

I agree, i have seen them on ebay and amazon, but the shipping time is what caused me to make a cable. I didn't want to wait.
Ok, but now there's another problem. The factory cable, on amazon and with Skorpn isn't shipped in Italy.
i tried to found something on google, but i haven't find anything. I can't do it at home, or probably i'll brick KF forevere
any suggestions?

Im sure Skorpn ships all over the world, fast. Pm him and ask for a price. I've seen several people say they've damaged the usb port by incorrectly making the cable, so read twice do once.

What are the steps that you used to restore your Kindle? I'm kinda new to the Kindle Fire 2. I have the fastboot cable and the utility downloaded but that thread doesn't give instructions on how to do it. Can you please help me out?

My Kindle fire 2 is stuck in the initial boot logo. It just restarts and stays there. When I connect my device with the fastboot cable to my computer it enters fastboot. My question is, with this recovery, what are the necessary steps I need to take to restore my device? Do I need to type in some code or just plug and it will be done automatically?

Q11: How do I restore a saved partition in fastboot?
Code:
fastboot -i 0x1949 flash <partition_name> <partition_name>.img
...where '<partition_name>.img' should be the full path to the appropriately named partition image located on your computer.
So I have read and re-read the FAQ and I have come to the conclusion that I should do what it says in question 11. To do that with this utility I just connect my device to my computer using the fastboot cable and just enter the command below? I'm assuming that the utility already has a flashable image.
Sorry I'm a complete noob. Thanks for all the help though.

Good. Now, we're getting somewhere.
As long as you have access to fastboot, the SRT tool from that link should restore your KF2. Just run the "SR Tool.bat" from it's location and you should be ok.
Huge thanks to mindmajick and soupmagnet for helping me out. got my kindle up and running in no time! thanks for being patient with my noob skills

I have something similar. The Kindle Fire 2 is in an infinite loop of the white and orange kindle fire logo. No ADB, no fastboot, isn't even recognized by my computer 100% at all. Please help...

[Q] Possibly bricked Kindle...

I recently rooted my Kindle Fire 1st generation to use Simple CM. I flashed it correctly and it worked fine, but to my surprise I recieved an iPad Mini as a gift. My parents asked for the Kindle and I said sure. Now, they wanted to go back to the original Amazon OS. So I downloaded a Kindle Fire stock zip to flash. I soon found out it was only an update... Now my Kindle successfully flashed it, I was setting it up, then it started to reboot, and it showed the launcher screen of Amazon, and then it gave me error pop-ups and it reboots after 30 seconds. I have been trying to get it to recognize on my computer but ADB and KFU aren't working the best. And now it says at 40% charge it will attempt to factory restore. (I will try soon). It repeats booting, then goes to the home screen, then it goes and shows errors and then does it again every 30 seconds. I am 13 years old and probably made a big mistake. I have read the threads on here and no solutions have worked. So I think it is bricked, and I have to give it to my parents by tonight and it has to have some sort of Amazon software or even CM. Is there anybody or anything that can help fix the Kindle Fire?
Thank you in advance, Jake.
You need to access fastboot to wipe data. You may need a factory cable.
In some cases, users have been fast enough to get into the settings and factory reset from there, so you may want to try that first.

Have you heard of anyone that tried that? I will definately try it being that you have 1000+ thanks on the meter.
EDIT: I attempted to factory reset but it still did the same thing..... How do I enter fastboot and detect the Kindle in 30 seconds?
I attempted to root my kindle fire with KFU and it hasn't powered on or charged since... Is it bricked or can it be repaired.... anyone?

Fire TV2 wont boot - Help !

Was trying to root my FTV2 using the latest instructions from AFTVNEWS. Couldn't get to install it on the first couple of tries. Now when i power on
the Fire TV i get to Amazon Fire TV screen and stays there. I cant get to the TWRP screen either so is there a way out of this or is the device bricked.
Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

So based on the message you sent me, it sounds like you failed in the middle of flashing the prerooted rom and then rebooted. That'll definitely brick it. Have you tried re-running the installer? That *might* work. If not, I do have an unbrick image. But I'm not quite 100% ready with it. I may finish it tonight, it may be tomorrow. But I'd say first try running the recovery installer and seeing if that works and/or if you get errors.

Fire TV1 bricked no lights

This FireTV has never been opened. I blocked updates per Aftvnews guide. ALso from AFTVnews serial conversion to software showed version 51.1.01 or 51.1.02. Unfortunately, I did not recall these version will not get past update screen if you are blocking updates. I had let sit at the update screen for over 30 minutes, then pulled plug. Now no lights, nothing. Tried ALT-PrtSCr-i and ALT-SysRq nothing. I bought USB A-A cable and windows shows QUB-xxxxx(or close to this from memory). Downloaded Ubuntu LiveCD and it shows 6 partitions from 17MB, 6.1GB, 2x 805MB, 2 x 8.4MB.
So not unlocked bootloader, no CWM, no TWRP nothing becasue this was A Virgin AFTV 1.
I have searched, requested help in other threads and no response and do not know what else can be done.
I do not know linux, but can follow steps and have updated 2 AFTV1 with rbox methods.
Is there anyway to save this Virgin AFTV1?
Im in the exact same boat.. But in deeper waters.. Fire Tv is only recognized as Qualcomm com port (Qualcomm HS QDLoader 9008) without showing the partitions, either in windows or linux... Never tried to install a recovery like Twrp, to unlock the bootloader, just had root since day one. But suddenly, when installing the last update something happened after the "Optimizing system storage and applications" menu. A bricked fire tv. Unfortunatelly i cant find a single trick to work... And yes.. I looked everywhere for a solution..

Yes, I thought we would get some responses from somebody. Possibly even @rbox and @aftvnews.
I wish i was in your situation... You can always dd the partitions again, and eventually fix the brick... In my case (QDLoader 9008) there is nothing i can do. Eventually i could theoretically reprogram the emmc chip, but.. not going to happen. I presume you are in stuck in the Qualcomm HS QDLoader 9006, that should be fixable, since you can write to the partitions. There is a post from Rbox where he tells in detail what to do. Best of luck!
Since your FTV its still showing its partitions (unlike me!) you should be successful with these instructions. https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=66961740&postcount=676

From my experiences, won't work. The fire tv don't read the update.zip. Without access to a workable recovery, a unlocked bootloader, or functional ADB, there is no way to revive this thing. I would love to be wrong, though..

To be honest, me too. But probably, since they all have hardware in working conditions, they aren't facing the same problems as us. Perhaps one of this days Rbox bricks his AFTV, and we get a way to solve our problem..
Any news on your brick? Just had an idea, although don't know if it works, and I don't have another working fire TV. But if a backup is made on QPST from a working fire TV, and then restore that same backup on the bricked unit (using again QPST) it might restore the unit. Mmmm.. Eventually! Damn, unfortunately I don't have a good unit to backup!

Still bricked, put in box hoping later someone could find a way. Ido have a workingAFTV1, but is rooted and updated to OS5. IF you have any idea how to do this I may entertain.

Thanks for the reply! After thinking better about my approach, its pretty much pointless, since to make a backup via QPST we have to enter in EDL mode. And there is no way to make a healthy fire TV enter service mode, not even via fastboot. My bricked fire TV is just like yours, sitting in a drawer. But I haven't given up. At least my mind is busy!
Hey guys I've tried to install https://forum.xda-developers.com/fire-tv/development/firetv-1-bueller-twrp-recovery-t3383286,
I did the steps for the locked bootloader and I didn't notice that there were errors.
It is rooted and busybox is installed. But it's stuck at the amazon logo while booting.
Do you think it's possible to unbrick it when I buy an USB-A to USB-A cable?
Version is: 51.1.5.0 30720
Thanks for your help!
Update: Ok I was able to open the stock recovery mode and it was reseting but it still won't boot.
I've waited six hours still didn't boot.
Need help
I messed up with amazon fire tv first generatio, it's now not booting up, no light nothing... when i put male-male usb cable i see its storage but that's all. adb can't find device etc.. any help will be appreciated.
