Ever since the Pie update, I've had an annoying issue where I get a notification when I reply to a text message. Is anyone else having this issue or know how to fix this. It's especially annoying because I get the notification sent to my fitbit as well.

You get a facebook notification in the notification bar pull it down and tap on it. It opens up your facebook app and takes you to the notification. you tap on whatever that notification is (status update, message, etc) and read it.
A few minutes later you have another facebook notification in your notification bar, you repeat the above procedure and find the exact same message, or status update you just got notified about a few minutes ago.
I get facebook notifications just fine..... I just keep getting the same ones over and over and they never clear.
Not sure how to fix that.
I like getting the notifications but it's getting irritating seeing the same old stuff over and over.
It's the Facebook app that's broken. It has always been.
Mine does the same thing....repeatedly getting the facebook message in the notification bar. Finally had to go into facebook and uncheck that option to prevent constant popups..very annoying.
I'm getting texts and no audible text message notification.
This seems to have happened when I went into text message settings and changed the text message notification to an m4a. I've since changed it back to be "default" but still don't receive an audible notification.
Volumes are fine, selected notification previews fine but I get nothing when it matters.
Anyone experiencing the same thing? Or care to try it out?
I'm on 4.0.2, no custom ROM involved.

Worked after I set the message alert back to "default" and rebooted. I'll see what happens when I set it to a specific alert tone again. Unfortunately for this test I don't get text messages very often...
Seems like a very simple thing to get right/wrong. Odd bug.
I'm having some notification issues, I get my text and email notifications but other apps don't show notifications. Anybody else having this issue or is it just me?
Hey guys I have tried to figure out why I'm not but at this point I'm lost. I never get notifications that I have a text message. No sound and nothing in the top bar. Any ideas? I've played with the setting for both regular sms and hangout and still nothing.
My ideal setting for messenger is no notification sound or vibration, but just a pop-up of the message preview. This is the way I had it for many months until about two weeks ago when my S9 started vibrating with every message I received. I never touched the settings once after getting it the way I wanted it, and have since looked through them many, many times trying to turn off just the vibration. It seems to me the only options are keep the pop-up message preview with the vibration, or get rid of both leaving just the message symbol in the notification bar, with no option for how I've always had it. Has anyone else experienced a similar issue?
