hi, tried to search everywhere but to no avail soo far.. does anyone knows if there is an existing root guide for LG G4 Beat? its sort of a diff model but there's no sub for it so i guess ill put it at here since its still under G4 family.. :/

First of all. Before you start to try root, download the kdz file for your phone.
The kdz is needed if something went wrong (e.g. phone not booting).
You can use the LG Flash Tool to flash the kdz to a bricked phone.
Use this link with your IMEI:

It's worth trying. You need to get a partition layout. Then @autoprime will give a full command to run in DL mode for dumping the system image, and flashing it once it's been injected with root. I can inject it for you once you have the system.img dump.

I think you have Android 5.1.1 installed, so it is not possible to use Kingroot to root your device. Is that right?

Copy the img file to a linux system and mount it. Create a testfile (test.txt) on the mounted system partition.
Copy the img file back to your phone and try to "dd" it back over your system partition.
Check if you see the testfile on your system partition.
If that worked you have successfully overwritten your system partition.
Then:
Try to inject root with the Inject_Root_G4.zip on your linux system.
Copy the new img file to your phone and "dd" it over your system partition.
Please ask if you are not 100% sure what to do.
You are responsible for what you are doing with your device.

No you don't need developer mode.
But it is no problem if you enabled it.

i opened send_command.exe but it just closes back.. mine is at COM1 but idk how to change it
Update: it says NOTE: Do not attempt this on devices with 5.1.1 , at the time this method was posted it worked on many firmware 5.0.2 should i still go for it? im using 5.1.1

Yup its in download mode i have the firmware update on my screen.. still to no avail i also installed LG driver and restarted.. opened send_command.exe it just closes back

oh okay means im on the right path..
so now i just do this as follows?
Type "id" and press enter (no quotes).
You should get back some text starting with "uid=(0)root gid=(0)root". If not, press CTRL-C, and do step 9 again (the application sometimes doesn't respond on the first command).
Run the command specified in the section below titled 'Commands to Run' to flash the rooted system image.
After a few minutes of sitting, you should get back a "#" prompt. This indicates the process has finished.
Type "LEAVE" (no quotes) and press enter. Your phone should reboot, and your phone will be rooted.
Invalid imei fix
NOTE this only works if your IMEI shows INVALID. If the IMEI is blank then follow the second post.
Switching between Lollipop and Kitkat firmwares in Desire 820s can sometimes result in invalid imei in system or when dialing *#06#
The best solution is to reflash your original firmare. However if you wish to stick to your current firmware then you can easily fix it with the following method:
This only works for invalid imei in system or in dialer and not in bootloader
What you need
Rooted Desire 820s
Download Root explorer from this link https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.speedsoftware.rootexplorer&hl=en
Now use root explorer and navigate to the root of your phone. You will get a folder named "data". Open in and inside it you will get a folder named "nvram". Rename "nvram" to "nvram_old" and then reboot your phone.
Your imeis should now be back
If you still have network problems
Open dialer
Dial *#*#4636#*#*
Select Phone information
Set preferred network type: choose GSM only. (It might change back to Unknown but keep on choosing GSM only until network appears, then you can choose another option)
Blank IMEI Fix
If your IMEI is blank when you type *#06# in dialer because you accidentally formatted the phone with SP Flash Tool then follow this:
(Only works on Kitkat firmware. So if you're on Lollipop you'll have to flash KitKat first)

12. Click Start
13. Insert the original IMEI 1 and IMEI 2 of your phone as shown on the box you bought your phone with and Click OK (If Serial Number is also affected type it here)
14. Switch off your Phone and connect it to the PC with a USB cable
15. Wait until it says PASS then reboot the phone

What you need to perform the methods..??
1. A Rooted MTK device
2. Root Explorer.apk
3. Wifi Error Fix.rar
How to do this?
On Your Rooted device go to root Explorer
And navigate to File system root/
data/nvram/APCFG/APRDEB
There you will find two files named 1) WIFI , 2) WIFI_CUSTOM just simply delete these files
Now extract the files from the WiFi fix.rar
and move the extracted files to the previous (root/
data/nvram/APCFG/APRDEB) folder.

i tried many times but your bootloader unlocking method not work with mediatek devices. at least with mine .
when i reboot to bootloader, fastboot don't reconize any devices. When i reboot in download mode, fastboot work; but the code that it release isn't processable by htcdev website.

it's simple for nvram fix just follow
From the top but for the imei got to mtk tools
Use mobileuncle app or mtksettings open engineering
Go to cds information then radio informtion then
Select you sim then type AT +EGMR=1,7," put your imei"
Remember put your phones imei from the box..cheers

Try Chamelephon apk to edit the IMEI
guys i changed my IMEIs easily after searching for 5 hours ... .. use king root to root your phone .. download it from google play or from the web in .apk format and transfer it to your mobile then install and bypass the security warning .
then download this app from google store : chamelephon .. it will allow you to change your IMEIs and then your sims will work again ISA

How does one change the IMEI?
I've tried this without success:
1. Root your device
2. Download and install QSPT and UltraEdit (HxD would also do).
3. Download an IMEI converter.
4. Get hold of a working qcn (I used my own which I know works in my other P2). Open the file by using Ultraedit/HxD and try to locate the IMEI. In my case it often starts with "08 8A...".
5. Use the IMEI converter and input your true IMEI. Memorize the output.
6. Return to the qcn file. Write it over with the IMEI output you got in step 5.
7. Save the file.
8. In a terminal enter:
su
setprop sys.usb.config rndis,diag,adb
9. Restore the qcn file from step 7 by using QSPT. You click on QPST configuration and go to "ports". If your port isn't already visible go to the device manager, look up the Qualcomm Diag port and add it. For me I believe it's COM9. Now you click on "start clients", then "software download". Tick the "Allow phone/file ESN mismatch", locate your saved qcn file and start restoring it.
10. All done. Reboot!
Apparently some XDA members managed to get their signal back once the modem was deleted so I guess somebody should know.
Other methods I've tried include flashing stock MM and installing OTA until you're on S251 as well as restoring an older full TWRP backup from when your signal used to work. Needless to say, they didn't work.
This procedure worked for me. Lenovo K6 Power with Qualcomm proc.
Successfully I found other users qcn file and wrote my IMEI in it.
Signal is back but diag port disappeared and I can't turn it on again.

Now, I have seen many people facing problems like lost IMEI or NVRAM warning in their wifi list! Well, these are normal errors when you often flash a custom and wiped system or update using SP Flash Tools. So fix isn't that hard! But still, many people suffer from this! Now, this guide is applicable for every device(MTK) but BPLGU modem file will vary from device to device. I have specially made this guide for Lenovo Vibe K4 Note users!:laugh:

So lets fix it up !
Required stuffs !
Windows PC (7/8/8.1/10)
Usb Cable
Few tools
Drivers
Your device, ofc !
Download Section !
1. Scatter files !
2. MauiMETA
3. Temoprary IMEI fix.zip
Now before we start doing anything make sure you download everything from the download section. Also, make sure your device is having TWRP installed.
Process !
Now most of you must have thought hey Max where is NVRAM fix? There was nothing about NVRAM in title Well chill down I will target NVRAM NOW !! So let us begin! Now as you have downloaded entire scatter files so NVRAM needs entire scatter files. "Woosh! Thank god it was useful somehow" most of you must have thought Hehehe Well one more thing if you are using permanent NVRAM fix then use it before you flash IMEI or else you lose it again if you fix NVRAM after IMEI. However, a temporary fix can be flashed later on.
* Now navigate to the firmware folder
* Look for scatter file open it in notepad or notepad ++
* There look for this line, "partition_name: NVRAM"
* There you will also notice, "s_download: false"
* Just change it to, "s_download: true"
* Save and exit!
* Open Sp flash tools and load scatter file(Remember a thing, you will have to use an older version of SP Flash Tools)
* You will see checkbox of NVRAM just choose it and keep rest options unchecked!
* Flash into your device and all set!
NVRAM IS FIXED PERMANENTLY :good:
But now for those who are lazy doing this, there is a temporary zip file which you can flash and NVRAM problem will be fixed for a limited time to do so just go to download section and download temporary fix zip file and flash it into TWRP (Yes, that's why we needed TWRP):angel:
Now before we start doing anything make sure you download everything from the download section. Also, make sure your device is having TWRP installed. (YES AGAIN MAKE SURE YOU HAVE EVERYTHING)
• After that, run Maui META 3G
• Use USB COM
• From Options menu, select “Connect smartphone in meta mode”.
• Press Reconnect and connect the phone in the switched off state.
• Wait for a minute. Your Device automatically boots into meta mode. The blinking led will become yellow and you can see "connected with target"
• Now from the drop-down menu select “IMEI download”. Click ok till you see IMEI download box.
• Click Change NVRAM Database FIle and browse to “MT6753 DB” folder and select the following file.
File\MT6753\
BPLGUInfoCustomAppSrcP_MT6753_S00_K5_ROW_LWG_V56_ 1_lwg_n (BPLGU modem file for mt6753, do a double check as the name might change with firmware versions).
[Well I have not extracted this file yet from stock ROM scatter files. However, I have given you the download link of entire stock ROM look the file there itself !]
• Click ok on any warning.
• Leave IMEI Increasemnt 0.
• Write first 14 digits of your IMEI in IMEI box and last 15th digits will go in checksum(should be entered automatically). Eg:- if IMEI is 123456789123456, write 12345678912345 in IMEI and 6 in the checksum. Do same for Sim_2
[Now most of you must be wondering where is my IMEI. I don't remember it and also it's not there in the list. Don't worry pull your back cover and you will see IMEI sticker there just type the same IMEI]
• Press Download To Flash. You will see Download IMEI flash successfully. Now close the box (or alt+f4 or close from task manager if stuck).
• Restart the phone
• Open Dialer and type *#06# and you will get your valid IMEI number.
* Well if you saw the same IMEI then you are done !!! :good:

TWRP one! I have added ADB Drivers there follow the same process also there is a manual how to install drivers same is applicable for these drivers!

Actually, I have tested this thing on my own device... No idea what's wrong with you. You can also try notepad c++

Try older version of SPFT.
I've downloaded your drivers and tried many other drivers,None worked,Please help me.With the drivers i have im able to Flash stock through SP,Device gets detected too,But i dont know y its not working for this tool or SN writer..This is the error im getting..Communication through either RS232 or IPC error,Please reconnect..

This is instruction is for carrier devices that have disabled button combo's.
Prerequisites:
1) Knowledge
2) Unlocked bootloader
3) Write down your IMEI and SN somewhere
4) QPST
How to check NT Code:
1) In dialer call *#546368#*model#. Put your model number instead 'model'. Example *#546368#*500# for V500N
2) Go SVC Menu -> Version info.
3) Write down your NT Code
Booting into EDL mode:
1) Plug in your turned on phone to PC
2) Press and hold Power+Volume Down
3) As soon as your screen is blank, rapidly start pressing Volume Up.
4) If you've successfully booted into EDL, your screen will be completely blank and the device manager will show (Under COM Ports): Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008
Backing up stock FTM:
1) Open QFIL
2) Select build type - Flat build
3) Storage type - UFS (Right corner at the bottom)
4) Programmer path - choose firehose that you downloaded from attachments
5) Go Tools->Partition Manager->OK
6) Press right mouse button at FTM -> Manage Partition Date -> Read Data
7) Look for backup folder in log and copy your ReadData*.bin file into another folder. Rename it to make it easier
Modifying FTM:
1) Download and install HxD from attachments
2) Download and open ftm_v50_mod.bin
3) At the offset 0000D000 put your IMEI. You won't miss it, you'll see IMEIIMEIIMEIIME at decoded side)
4) At the offset 00012000 put your SN. You won't miss it, you'll see SNSNSNSNSNSNSN at decoded side)
5) At the offset 00014000 put your NT code's last number instead of both 'xx' at decoded side
6) Flash it back. Repeat steps of backing up part, but this time choose Load Data instead of Read Data then pick your modified file.
Congrats! You get back recovery button combo

For correct work in my LMV500EM need repeat NT code's last number in offset 00014020 - where was "xx"
It can't use for imei recording, please don't try imei recording, imei won't work

This guide was not for changing IMEI, read article. If you won't write down your imei you'll lose your reception

This does not make NT code available in Verizon LM-V450VM.
I can get a Hidden Menu using **228378 but it does not have "Version info"
Any ideas?

Hello. I have a lg v60 att mobile, I crossflahed it with android 12 v30c, everything worked fine, only there was no nt code. I decided to flash pdm with lg up and it stuck on blue screen. Then I put it into Qualcomm 9008 mode and accidentally deleted all the files. Then they restored it with medusa pro direct v30c eu and now I have no baseband imei and serial number. Can anyone help ?
can you please explain what last part xx of NT Code means? My version Info keeps crashing but shows should be implemented. I took a screen of startup nt mismatch. I read somewhere this info can be used. Should or could I copy and paste from a different ftm file that doesn't have error? I see 15 listed in the ftm that gives no error and "15" listed in one that gives error. I did notice that the bands are available in the error one and not in the no code throwing nt code ftm file.

Model LM-V500EM. After upgrading from V500EM20q_00_OPEN_EU_OP_0318 to V500EM30b_00_OPEN_EEA_OP_1025 disappeared Serial No. and NT code. I had backup ftm from V500EM20q. According instruction "Modifying FTM" below copied Serial No. and NT code from ftm V500EM20q to ftm V500EM30b. For me copied NT code was "1","FFF,FFF,FFFFFFFF,FFFFFFFF,19" Now it's all right.
