[Q] G2 Knock On Gesture for G Pro?

Is there anyway to port the knock on gesture control from the G2 to the G Pro? It would be nice to just tap the screen to turn it on.

I would love it if we could get knock on for the lgogp. I would also love to see the slide aside feature on the lgogp later in the future.
It depends on if the G2 has a specific sensor dedicated to that function, and if the GPro has that same sensor. Also that function is definitely Framework related so ported may be difficult unless we get the entire Rom or all the necessary files for the port.
ROM already available on xda. Sensor for touch wake? Not needed.
Hardware for remote learning: we have it. Its ir blaster in g pro.
So basically all additional functions are theoretically possible to port.
Problem is no one wants to port either remote or knock on.

There should be some buttons combination, like power button + home button for android 4.3 (stock one), and the older combination was power button + vol.down.
I've checked on CM-REMIX (android 4.4.2) and the 2nd combination of buttons works.
There's always a button combination for a screen shot (since android 4.0+ I think).

As you didn't mention what ROM you are running I assume you are running the stock firmware, Samsung's TouchWiz video player got a built-in button to take video shots.

The method mentioned above should work, me personally I use a module for Xposed Installer called Xposed Gesture Navigation and from the settings choose the gestures you want, and their action.
If you have any question concerning Xposed Installer or Xposed Gesture Navigation let me know

[req] mod swipeback module

Have you guys tried SwipeBack Xposed for our device?? It 's beautiful, you can use all the app so immersive and enjoy our fabulous qHD display simply swipe and go back ..... only problem is that for some reason going into the gallery and selecting video icon does not appear to transmit video dlna and therefore can not be given other options ..... and the developer of the module is from February 2014 does not update more 'grrr ....
You can set any app as immersive on the g3 as stock behaviour anyway, it's in the settings.

Missing pie? Coolace has us covered!

I for one rely on pie controls on this line of phones. Pie makes this big screen much easier to operate one handed.
Well the guys at coolace have implemented 4.4.4 functionality into their app so until we can get xposed running on here we have am alternative.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=jun.ace.piecontrol
I normally use pie, although if you just want something more simple check out the side key panel in quick settings.

Just install LMT. Its way better than pie.

Back and Home button need root access to work. Also if you configured any certain apps it won't work. Reset your pie configuration, be sure root is granted and start from scratch to configure your buttons

I'll stick with pie until the root issue is figured out.
LMT works beautifully with the note 4. Just install the apk.
I use s combination of the built in side button launcher and lmt launcher. I use lmt mostly to enable data, WiFi, GPS and such. Does the back button work on lmt launcher for you guys?

I too am Wondering this…
Yes LMT 2.2 apk does work without root on our notes. Just set the phone options to #8
Get the apk here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1330150
Ok so root is necessary, that sucks

Just a few things you need to do.
1. Set Gesture Input to #8 (Samsung)
2. Clear Blacklist options in (Gestures, Pie)
For some reason LMT will blacklist some apps like in pie I use center for phone dialer but if you don't clear blacklist it hides dialer for example.
Went to the links provided, did not see links to download the apk file. ..any help greatly appreciated.
