I'm running @dungphp's Oreo AOSP Extended rom, and it's very stable. One gripe I have is SELinux being permissive in it. Does anyone know of a Mi Max Oreo ROM that has SELinux in restrictive mode?

Which is the best rom which is as stable as the stock miui rom?
Also I'd REALLY appreciate it if anyone could link me to a video or a thread which easily explains unlocking and getting twrp working on this device.
Aoxpextended Rom 8.1. This ROM is same for both Redmi 4a and 5a phones.

aosp roms will always be faster. if you like miui then yes it is. and change stock oem miui with xiaomi.eu/rev os/miuimix miui roms.

I am currently using Spark OS as my daily driver it is working good , you can try this ROM , also if you are BGMI player then it provides smooth gameplay.
